This is where I want to go with my narcotic adventure series

Callum didn't know where he was, he only knew that he was very very hungry. His body was stiff; he tried moving; he felt his joints creak; he'd been standing for a long time. The last thing he remembered was he was charging necropolis with an army numbering 600,000 strong after that it was blurry. He tried opening his eyes and he found he was in a dungeon probably deep underground as the floor was flooded. Callum turned his head to the right and he saw Rayla but she looked off. She looked paler and her lips looked redder. He tried reaching out to her and found his arm was covered in blood that when he noticed the liquid on the floor he mistook for water had a deep red shine. He shivered in fear when he heard the deep rumble of a creature breathing next to him. He'd been so preoccupied with Rayla and the blood he hadn't noticed a giant hulking wolf next to him easily a foot taller than him. At first he noticed the fangs then the crown it looked familiar.

It was the crown the king of katolis wore everyday his brother's crown. He reached out ignoring the blood on his arms and taped the wolf man. Its eyes flew open and golden yellow eyes peered back at him." C-Ca-llu-m," "E-zz-ra-n". They both smiled or at least Callum thought it was a smile. " W-ha-t h-happ-en-ed" " d-o-on-t kn-oo-w" he found it hard to speak, something was poking his tongue every time he closed his mouth. " we sh-ould probably wake Rayla up" now that he had been talking for awhile he was getting more fluent. He turned to his left and poked Rayla in the arm.

Her eyes flew open and she pounced on him a blood red dagger that hadn't been there when she was asleep. " C-ca-llum" she got off him." hey where'd those come from" he pointed at the daggers at this point he was so thoroughly drenched in blood he just let it be." what?" he pointed to the daggers" those " "what!?`` She looked at the daggers. ``What in the name of the arcanum are these !?". The daggers melted into blood; it was only then that Callum noticed that along with the sky and earth arcanum there was something else. It was dark and he didn't understand it. It wasn't dark magic. He had felt what dark magic corruption felt like and this wasn't it. The corruption was more like a solid mass that wouldn't budge no matter what he did. This was more like a liquid that encompassed his entire body.

He tried to cast Aspiro. He was a master of the sky arcanum so there should have been a strong wind but what happened was that a strong blood smell whisked into his nose. It was somehow stronger than the blood pool below him. Next he tried to cast murus luto. He was glad when the mud brick wall he wanted rose from the ground. What happened next he wasn't as happy about. It. The mud brick wall fell back into the ground and he realized that his connection to both arcanums had faded, replaced by the unknown liquid he felt.

" Callum, what was that?" Rayla questioned from behind " why was your spell so weak?"." I don't know, there's something else inside me and it's not dark magic," he replied . "yeah i feel something as well," she placed her hand on the center of her chest and continued " it feels like a liquid that flows through your entire body almost like blood,".

" Maybe it has something to do with those daggers earlier " he pointed to where the daggers had cut him. It still hasn't stopped bleeding; he wasn't worried as the blood was a tiny amount. " maybe you could try taking them out again,"." I don't know how it was just instinct like I've done it a thousand times,".

" Maybe you could imagine them in your mind," Ezran suggested it was the first time he had spoken since they woke up. Callum noticed his brother was back to his human self but his eyes were still golden." maybe," rayla stood still with her palms outstretched suddenly blood red daggers each 7 inches in length." hey it worked,"." yeah Callum why don't you try," she hadn't looked up from the blades." okay" he tried focusing on an image suddenly a trident with serrated edges appeared in his mind.

It materialized in his hand; it was almost the size of his body. He knew he had used it before he didnt know when but it felt comfortable in his hand. He swung it around it felt like when he and Rayla danced.

Rayla watched him eye the trident that appeared in his hands " I thought-," she was cut off as she bit her tongue." what the?" Callum knew Rayla wasn't careless so he wondered how she had bit her tongue. His thoughts were cut off as he heard the clanking of keys he got ready to fight when an old withered man opened the door. He looked surprised for a second before he casted a spell that summoned two skeletons on either side of him. It was then callum recognized him as the necromancer they had attacked. He immediately casted Aspiro Frigis it was weaker but it was enough the old man fell over and Rayla was on him in a second he cleanly chopped his head off. " we gotta go now" she hissed back at them not knowing if there were other things around. They rushed past the skeletons.

They knew that the necromancer wasn't dead; they had killed him three times before so they all knew that they had to get out of there fast. They rushed through the halls Ezran and Callum recognized as the halls they had run down a thousand times growing up. They were in Katolis castle. They knew all the hidden passages they saw the statue of their mother half of it had crumbled away. Callum promised himself that he'd get revenge later but now they needed to get out of there.

There was a hidden passage right behind the statue he said "here," the same time Ezran did. They rushed for the statue. They saw the passage partly covered by the rubble but still intact. They ran down the weathered halls. they could see the exit when they were nearly there. They passed through the exit and the moon shone brightly above. He turned to look at Rayla to find her completely invisible. The outline she normally had during a full moon wasn't there she was just gone.`` Callum?" he heard her call out to him off to his left." Rayla, where are you?"

" right here where are you?" He could hear her but couldn't see her. "Guys you're standing next to each other" Ezran called out from beside them. His golden eyes shone through the night like a torch. " Wait, you can see Rayla?" he questioned " where is she?"." right next to you" Callum looked around" where?"." right next to you, how about this, Rayla stick your right arm out Callum your left," he did as he was told." now move your arm away from you" they did it and felt each other's hand.

" Is this like a moon arcanum thing?". " Probably, " she answered him. " Well, is there any way to get rid of it?" he replied slowly. " Yes, imagine your body is completely empty of all power" Rayla instructed. They both materialized at the same time." okay we gotta get moving and just hope the necromancer hasn't gotten into zadia,". It was at times like these that Ezran sounded like a true king.

their little group of recently freed prisoners started heading towards the general direction of the breach. They didn't know that 15 years had past and Callum's amd Rayla's daughter had grown up. Meanwhile at the same time across the breach their daughter was getting ready for a mission

" why won't ya let me go " sarai screamed at opeli. No one knew how old the woman was but signs of her age were showing through her wrinkled face and silver hair. " no you are the only princess of katolis you will not be allowed to go on a suicide mission that even your father and mother disappeared on". Sarai knew the old woman was right; her parents, along with the king, had made one last attempt to take back the old castle. " Im a princess of a kingdom that has no land, the only human kingdom that still has land is evenere and that's only because everyone of their citizens are soldiers," she shouted back.

" Princess Sarai, it's not about the kingdom it's what you represent," Opeli leaned forward in her chair."you represent the last of a long line of kings and humanity's last hope your father was the first human to master two arcanums and your mother was commander in chief of the first army in which both human and elves fought side by side"

" So i'm a half breed most humans don't like me and the other ones are just scared" Sarai had spent much of her life in the courts of nobles and she saw the looks they gave her. She had five fingers like all humans and her fathers brown hair but that's where the similarities ended her pointed ears while less pointed than elves was abnormal to humans she looked alot like her mother she even heard her uncle say that she had her horns. She had even inherited her fathers and mothers arcanums; she was master of all three.

Shed been named after her grandmother; she hadn't ever known the woman but she had seen the paintings in her fathers sketch book one of the only momentos she had of her parents other than the one memory she didn't even know was real.

" princess " sarai was startled at Opeli's sudden outburst. " huh what". "I was asking whether or not you're going to make an appearance at your birthday".

" Why would I do that?" Sarai had never liked her birthday; it reminded her how her mother had gone missing a week later.

" Okay " not having a birthday was the only thing Opeli had ever let her have.

Sarai got up to leave when Opeli said " you have to forget them they've been gone for so long their not coming back,"

Sarai just left she had bigger plans than to argue with Opeli for the millionth time tonight she was going to leave and find her parents he knew they weren't dead she didn't know how but she knew and she was going to find them.
