Dragon Ball GT Meets Dragon Ball Super
Part V: Universe Survival Saga
Previously on Dragon Ball GT Meets Dragon Ball Super, Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks have successfully called forth Shenron to expel the negative energy that was accumulated inside the Dragon Balls. As a result, all 7 Shadow Dragons have made their presence on Earth! Goku, Veg eta, and Trunks first went to Yi Xing Long. Yi Xing Long barely put up a fight so he called for reinforcements from the other 6 Shadow Dragons! However, with the combined might of Super Saiyan Rage and Super Saiyan 4 God, the Shadow Dragons were easily eradicated, thus cleansing Shenron. With a future threat vanquished, what will our heroes set to do now?
Chapter 1: 7 Months of Peace
With the threat of the Shadow Dragons being deal with faster than when it started, Trunks finds himself at an intersection: Should he try and venture back to the future that he is all too familiar with and risk the consequences? Or should he stay with Goku and friends and stay assured that he would be in a safer world and potentially be as strong as his father?
"Hey Trunks. Is something wrong?" Goku asks
"Oh… it's nothing." Trunks said
"Don't kid yourself Trunks, I know what is wrong." Vegeta stated
"Father?"
"You are conflicted on if you should stay here and potentially get stronger than you ever thought possible, or go back into your own time and risk any and all new threats that come your way on your own."
"Huh, guess you can read me like a book huh?"
"Hmph"
"Vegeta, did you forget?" Goku asked
"Forget what?!"
"You promised Trunks you would train him before he left and to show him how to unlock our new form!"
"Really Father?!" Trunks said enthusiastically
"Damn it Kakarot! I was hoping you would have forgotten about that?!"
"Please Father, I need this power that you guys have. I need to be ready for any other threat my future may face!"
"Oh please, you were able to fend of Black and Zamasu at one point where we couldn't. You need to master this new form that you have before even thinking about attaining Super Saiyan 4! I'll help you perfect the form that you currently have, but that's it!"
"Thank you Father." Trunks says
"Alright, come on you two, Bulma has a feast ready!"
"Coming Goku!"
After the threat of Goku Black and Zamasu defeated, Goku and Co have a giant feast provided by Bulma. A day later, Vegeta went into the Room of Spirit and Time with Trunks and helped him train his newly acquired Super Saiyan Rage form. After their training session, Trunks rested up back at Capsule Corp before going back to his Future. Before leaving, Bulma gave Man a box filled with capsules containing food, water, and essentials to rebuild their desolate timeline. Veg eta gave Trunks his own version of a parting gift, with a punch. As well as Gohan wishing Trunks well as they head back to their Future. In the months after the threat of Goku Black, Za masu, and the Shadow Dragons being vanquished, Goku and Vegeta never stopped their training, even for a little. As well as Goku taking a job as a vegetable distributor. Vegeta on the other hand is expecting a newborn in the coming weeks. They really have experienced peace for a long time. As a result, Goku has gotten significantly stronger than what he was 7 months ago. One day he called up Whis to ask him for some training and Whis naturally agreed, with the only condition being food that he hasn't tried before. Goku suggested Bean Daifuku and Whis was
ecstatic. Goku then goes to Capsule Corp with Goten to visit Bulma and Vegeta. A little while later, Whis arrives to pick Goku and Vegeta up, but because of Bulma being pregnant, Vegeta stays behind while Goku leaves with Whis. Meanwhile, back in Beerus' planet, Goku trains with Whis as a SSJ4, still trying to perfect having the form being his base.
"Good Work Goku! You might be close to Beers at this point!" Whis remarks "Is that so? Well, wanna try me?" Beerus asks
"Sure, gotta get ready to face you fully at some point." Goku remarks "Yes Saiyan. Especially since we don't know when Lord Zeno's tournament is." "Zen-Chan's tournament huh? Oh, that's it!"
"Huh? Oh, Damn It!"
"Thanks for reminding me Lord Beerus!"
With a push of a button, Goku goes to Lord Zeno's palace and is met by the Grand Priest. "Oh, Goku from Universe 7, what may I help you with?"
In a flash, the Grand Priest takes Goku to Lord Zeno.
"Hey!" Goku says
"Hey Goku!" Lord Zeno said
"Hey, I remember that you promised to hold a tournament with all the universes. What's the hold up on it?"
"Oh yeah, I forgot! That other tournament was fun! Let's hold it!" "Really? Alright! Thanks Zeny! It will be so much fun, look forward to it!"
"We will let all the universes' Supreme Kai's know about the rules once they come to be."
"Alright, I'm going to head back. See ya later Zeny!"
Goku then departs Lord Zeno's palace and goes back to be scolded by Beerus.
"What have I told you about messing with Lord Zeno!?"
"Oh calm down Beerus, nothing happened. He only said that he was going to hold the tournament."
"You sure?"
"Yes I am. Hey Whis, can we go to Supreme Kai's place?"
"Oh? Is there something happening over there?"
"Yeah, the Grand Priest said that once the rules of the tournament are decided, that he was going to go to the Supreme Kais of each universe."
"That is intriguing. Well, let me finish this delicious treat first."
"Come on Whis!"
"You are certainly impatient aren't ya?"
When Goku, Beerus and Whis arrive to the Land of the Kais, Supreme Kai greets them before being interrupted by the Grand Priest.
"Supreme Kais, it's been too long. Oh, hey Goku. The rules have been drafted and will announce them now."
"Great, let's hear it!"
"Goku! Please show the proper respect!" Elder Kai screamed
"Oh it is quite alright. Now to read the words of Lord Zeno…"
According to the words of Lord Zeno, on the 3,135,500.603rd day of the King's Calendar, on the 157th hour, ten warriors selected from each universe shall participate in the Tournament of Power. How would the Tournament of Power play out? Who will participate?
Chapter 2: Zen Exhibition Match!
"Tournament of Power huh? I'm getting excited already!" Goku remarks "So where is it going to be held?"
"The Tournament will be held in the World of Void." Grand Priest answers "World of Void?" Goku asks
"The World of Void… it is said to be a realm that exists outside of all the universes that stretches into infinity and is filled with complete nothingness." Beerus says
"That's exactly right." Grand Priest said
"So, what would the winning Universe get?" Supreme Kai asks
"They receive nothing."
"Oh, so like honor then?" Beerus asks
"… Well I was instructed not to say anything to the Gods of Destruction, but I will tell you Goku, since you are Lord Zeno's friend."
"Oh?" Goku remarks
"The winning Universe receives nothing, but the losing Universes get ERASED" "Wait the Universes…. GET ERASED!" Goku yells
"Yes, erased by Lord Zeno's hand!" Grand Priest explains "However, the individual remaining in the Tournament, will win the Super Dragon Balls, much like in the previous tournament held between Universe 6 and Universe 7."
"That damn Champa must have been collecting the Dragon Balls again." Beerus noticed "Indeed. However, no worries. Also, Son Goku was it?" Grand Priest said "Yes?"
"Since it has been a while since your previous tournament with Universe 6, Lord Zeno wants to see you in action before we decide on any rules for the Tournament of Power."
"Sounds fun! Who will I face?"
"Wait, you want to do it by yourself?"
"Yeah, I need the training to boot before the Tournament of Power starts."
"Quite the confident fellow. Well, you will be facing 3 contestants of Universe 9. They are the lowest ranking ranking Universe of all the 12, with yours being the second lowest. You have the next hour to prepare and then come to Lord Zeno's palace. Farewell."
"This is beginning to sound so much fun! Huh, Lord Beerus?!" Goku remarks "You truly are an idiot." Beerus says
"What do you mean?"
"You just put all of the universes in jeopardy just because you wanted to hold a tournament."
"I didn't expect it to turn out like this. You want me to go over to Zeny and ask him to postpone the Tournament?"
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Whis remarks "That would certainly upset Lord Zeno and he will definitely erase everything at that point."
"I see. Oh well, guess I will get ready then." Goku says
"What are you going to do?" Beerus said
"I'm going to the Room of Spirit and Time and train for a little bit. Once a few days pass over there, it should be an hour passed over here. Then just pick me up at the Lookout. See ya!"
In a flash, Goku goes to the Lookout and steps inside the Room of Spirit and Time to train for a few weeks in preparation for the Zen Exhibition Match.
"Goku really is a moron!" Beerus remarks
"That could be. However, I have a feeling that there is more to this situation that meets the surface."
"What do you mean?" Beerus asks
"Ohohoho! You would have to wait for that answer my Lord."
"You're no help Whis!"
About 50 minutes go by and Goku gets out of the Room looking all torn from his training! What kind of training did he do? What's more is that it appears that he is still in his SSJ4 form, but more calm, relaxed, normal.
"Thanks for allowing me to go inside Dende, that really helped me out." Goku said
"Not a problem at all Goku, let me fix you up real quick before you go." Dende says as he generates new clothes for Goku.
"There you are Goku, so are you ready?" Whis asks
"You bet! See ya Dende!"
Goku, Beerus, Whis, and the Supreme Kai all go to Lord Zeno's palace, awaiting entry. As they walk down the dark hallway, they encounter some representatives of Universe 9: The God of Destruction Sidra, the Supreme Kai Roh, along with Bergamo, Basil, and Lavender, the 3 contestants of Universe 9.
"Good. Everyone's here. Now then, follow me." Grand Priest said
As they exit the dark hallway, they encounter the Zen Exhibition Arena. As the same time, Grand Priest summons every God of Destruction, Supreme Kai, and Angel from the other 10 Universes in order for them to see Lord Zeno and to witness the Zen Exhibition Match.
"Welcome everyone to the Zen Exhibition Match! Zeno wants to hold a Tournament of Power in the near future, but he wants to hold a preliminary tournament first before deciding on any official rules." Grand Priest announces
"Fun! Fun!" Zeno exclaimed
Thank Universe 7's Son Goku for suggesting the idea of the Tournament!" Grand Priest said
"Ugh, should've known it had something to do with you Beerus." Champa said "Oh shut it!"
"I'm going to make this fun for you Zeny!" Goku exclaimed
"Yes! Fun!"
"Oh, Lord Belmod, who do you have beside you?" Grand Priest asked
"Oh, pardon me my Lord. This is Toppo. He's actually a candidate to be the next God of Destruction in my universe. I figured this would be some good experience for him before he fully replaces me in the future." Belmod explains
"I understand. Now then, Son Goku, since you wanted to fight the 3 contestants of Uni verse 9 by yourself, do you want to do individual matches or have them fight you all at once?"
"Bring them all on! It should be fun!"
"As you wish. This Zen Exhibition match is now 3-on-1 brawl between Son Goku of Universe 7 against Bergamo, Basil, and Lavender of Universe 9."
"Don't underestimate us, The Trio De Dangers!" Bergamo said
"Now then, contestants, please arrive at the Arena.
All the contestants of the Zen Exhibition Match go to the Tournament Stage. Goku from Universe 7, in his Mastered Super Saiyan 4 Form. Bergamo, Basil, and Lavender from Universe 9. This will prove to be a challenge for Goku if he takes these 3 warriors of Universe 9 lightly.
"The Rules of the Zen Exhibition Match: Anything Goes and the only way to win is to incapacitate your opponent to the point they can no longer fight. Out of bounds rules are not in effect. Also, Goku, make sure you use your full power. If Lord Zeno notices that you aren't using your full power, he will erase everything on the spot."
"Not a problem at all, I don't intend to lose!" Goku exclaims
"Now, Let the Zen Exhibition Match, Begin!"
The Trio De Dangers charge at Goku while Goku keeps completely calm. Any strikes that the Trio try and land on Goku, he effortlessly dodges with swift precision. Almost zombie-like.
"Whis?" Beerus remarks
"Yes?"
"Is something… different about Goku?"
"Yes, most certainly. It resembles it, but not quite the same."
"That cursed Saiyan!"
The Trio de Dangers start getting desperate and start charging their strongest blast. Meanwhile, Goku is just standing there idly.
"Goku! Start doing something or else Lord Zeno will destroy everything!" Beerus Yells "I know Beerus!"
"Triangle! Danger! Beam!" The Trio Yell
In a flash, Goku teleports away from the blast and heads behind the trio as a Super Saiyan 4 God Super Saiyan and launches his strongest Kamehameha, incapacitating the Trio with ease.
"Bergamo, Basil, and Lavender are no longer capable of fighting! Son Goku of Universe 7 Wins the Match!"
"Hey Zeny! I didn't hold anything back!" Goku yells
"That was fun Goku!"
"Hehe!"
The Gods of Destruction stood in awe in sight of this mortal from Universe 7 who has attained power that has surpassed even Gods of Destruction! They were shocked; they were scared; frightened even. However, there was one person that was interested in Goku's power.
"Excuse me my Lord." Toppo said as he jumps down to the arena, takes the Trio out of the arena, and focuses on Goku."
"Who are you?" Goku asked
"Silence Villain!" Toppo said as he took off his robe. "I am the leader of the Pride Troopers from the brave and beautiful Universe 11! Toppo, the Warrior of Freedom! If you bear evil intent and would stand against me, my fists shall bring ruin upon you!"
"That's interesting. I'm the villain now?! Oh well, if you are going to fight me, you better do it now. Those last 3 guys weren't enough to satisfy me!" Goku remarked
"YAY!" Zeno Exclaimed
"Yes my Lord?" Grand Priest said
"YAY! MORE FIGHTING! FIGHT! FIGHT!"
"As you wish. This match between Goku and Toppo will be officially counted!" "Awesome! Thank you Zeny!"
"Let the second round… Begin!"
As the gong rings, Goku powers up to his Full Power Super Saiyan 4 form, stunning all the Gods of Destruction once again. As each warrior readies their stance, Goku charges at Toppo full force. Toppo tries to grab Goku, but he uses Afterimage to get behind Toppo and land a kick to the back of Toppo's head, stunning the Pride Trooper. Toppo tries to land hits on Goku but to no avail. Goku keeps tripping up Toppo with his Super Saiyan 4 speed and Goku launches Toppo up in the air to unleash an assault. However, Toppo gets out of the way and grabs Goku in a choke hold. However, it has no effect on Goku.
"Um, is this supposed to do anything?"
"Wait, what?!" Toppo yells
In an instant, Goku goes Super Saiyan God, stunning Toppo momentarily and knocks out Toppo using a Dragon Smash, sending him crashing down to the arena.
" Toppo, Warrior of Universe 11 is no longer able to continue! Son Goku of Universe 7 wins the match!"
"N-No! Toppo!" Lord Belmod yells
Picking up Toppo, Goku remarks, "You certainly are a weird fighter for sure." Goku Powers back down to Super Saiyan 4. "Hopefully that wasn't all you got though. Let's make it a better match in the tournament!" Goku then reaches out his hand for a handshake from Toppo, but Top po refuses. "I will not shake the hand of a villain! What's more, you were able to beat me now,
but my comrade Jiren is far stronger than I. You at least have a chance of beating him, but that is slim to none."
"Jiren…" Goku says, putting that name in the back of his head
"Congratulations Goku! Those were surprisingly quick matches!" Supreme Kai said
"Oh yeah, and what's more, Jiren is supposed to be stronger! I am excited for this tournament to start!"
"Don't get cocky now Goku!" Beerus yells "You got lucky because these were the weaker fighters! Don't let your guard down in the tournament! YOU HEAR ME!?"
"Now then. To explain the real Tournament. Per the request of Goku and approval of Lord Zeno, we will hold the Tournament of Power between 8 universes. Lord Zeno has always said that there were often too many Universes present. However, with this Tournament of Power, it is the perfect opportunity to have each universe fight for their survival. Those who fail will be erased by Lord Zeno himself."
"What was that?!" Champa yells as each of the Gods of Destructions murmur of this recent revelation.
"However, Universes 12, 1, 5, and 8 are exempt from this Tournament. Their mortal rankings are above 7, so there is no need to include them in this tournament.
"Hmm. So what you are saying is that Lord Zeno was already planning on erasing all the Universes. However, with this Tournament, it gives everyone a fighting chance to survive?" Whis asks
"That is exactly right." Grand Priest answers
"I see!"
"I can't wait for this Tournament of Power!" Lord Zeno exclaims "Same here!" Goku answers
"Now then, let's explain the rules of the Tournament of Power. 10 warriors of each universe besides the excluded universes will be required to participate in this Tournament To win,
one must knock their opponent off the fighting stage. Quite simple, right? If the opponent is knocked out in the stage, please throw them off the stage to qualify as an elimination. Items that assists in techniques are allowed, but not healing items nor physical weapons. Also, killing isn't allowed and is bound for disqualification. Flying skills are nullified in the World of Void, unless you possess natural wings. The time limit is 100 taks."
"That is 40 minutes in Earth time." Whis remarks "Isn't that a little bit too long though, that is plenty of time and we have no idea how long each match would realistically take."
"Oh silly, I forgot to add. There is no need to wait for every individual match to conclude. Everyone will participate. Therefore there will only be one match."
"80… Fighters… participating at once?" Supreme Kai hastily says
"Yes. A Royal Rumble of sorts. The fighting arena will be massive so no need to worry. After the time limit is reached, the team with the most members left wins. However, if there are an even number of fighters from each universe, Lord Zeno will determine the final winner. Of course, if only 1 fighter remains, that fighter's universe wins. I will start creating the arena once this is over, so you have at least 40 Earth Hours to recruit warriors for the Tournament of Power. You are all dismissed"
Grand Priest then sends everyone back to their respective universes and begins working on the tournament stage. Once Beerus, Whis, Supreme Kai, and Goku go back to Universe 7, Goku departs from the Land of the Kais in search of recruits for the Tournament.
"Well, I'm off then!" Goku says
"And where the hell are you going?" Beerus quick to answer back "Ain't it obvious Lord Beerus? Going to recruit the 9 members for the Tournament." "Fine. Don't dilly-dally Goku! This is all your fault!"
"Yeah yeah, whatever. Oh Whis, may I ask a favor from you?"
"What is it?"
"Can you check Universe 7 once again to see if there are any surviving Saiyans around?"
"That seems like an easy request. But why now all of a sudden?"
"This Tournament requires that we have all the firepower we need to win, so I need as many options as possible. Also, I don't know too much about how this form works yet. Sure I mastered how to use it in battle, but it seems my primal Saiyan instincts kick in more in this form and feels like there are more Saiyans out there. If there are more Saiyans in Universe 6, then we must have a few more. If you find any, let me know so I know where to go."
"Sounds like a plan Goku. You are really taking this situation seriously." "Guess so. You have to thank this form for that."
"One more question Goku."
"Yeah?"
"Are you planning to abandon the God forms completely since you discovered this form?" Whis asks
"Not at all Whis. This form has its drawbacks power-wise. The God forms are necessary for me to evolve as a fighter. I already figured out how to stack God and Blue with this form, so now it is just up to me to break beyond the limits of this form, as well as master Blue."
"Interesting answer Goku. Well, go back to Earth and recruit as many fighters as possible. I'll see what I can do from here."
"Thank you Whis. See ya later!"
Using Instant Transmission, Goku arrived back on Earth and started to recruit members for the Tournament of Power! Will Goku be able to recruit the members in time for the Tournament of Power? Will Whis be able to find any missing Saiyans across the vast Universe 7? Find out Next Time!
Chapter 3: Universe 7 Recruitment
Goku has gone back to Earth to find members for the Tournament of Power. Before he left the Land of the Kais, he asked Whis to look around Universe 7 in search of other Saiyans that may have survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta. Goku has 40 Hours to gather all the participants for the Tournament of Power. Will he successfully recruit 9 other fighters before the time expires? Or will he have no luck and have to go in alone? The recruitment starts now!
Goku arrives back on Earth and decides to search for potential members for the Tournament. His first pick was Krillin, his best friend ever since the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai. He uses instant transmission to go over to Krillin, who was in the middle of dealing with some robbers.
"Hey Krillin!" Goku yells
"Oh, Goku!? What are you doing here?" Krillin asked
"What are you doing Krillin?" Goku asked
"I'm working right now, I'll help you in a bit."
In an instant, Goku takes down the robbers and gives them to Krillin to imprison. "Thanks for the help Goku, but I could have dealt with them on my own." "I had to finish this quickly Krillin. We have to talk."
"Uhh, sure. Just meet me by the house and let yourself in."
"Thanks."
Goku then instant transmissions over to Krillin's house and is greeted by 18. "Oh, Goku. This is a new look. You never surprise me. Is there something wrong?"
"Yes there is. Krillin is showing up soon so I'll speak about it once he gets here." Goku says solemnly. "
"Alright. Would you like some water or something while you wait?" "Sure."
A few minutes later, Krillin arrives and Goku starts to explain the situation about the Tournament of Power and the consequences about it. Goku also explains the rules of the Tournament of Power and how it is won, and the sole survivor obtains the Super Dragon Balls.
"Wow Goku. That sure is alot to take in. Does anyone else know yet?" "No, not yet. You both are the first people I told about. Please Join the Tournament!" "I want to Goku, but I'm scared!"
"Well, i'm not joining unless there is prize money involved." 18 remarks
"I can talk to Bulma about that for you. Come on Krillin, we spared a couple months ago and you did very well. And I'm sure you have improved since then. We can spar now, i can tell you have a new ability."
"How'd you know?"
"This form really works in mysterious ways. It can just sense everything around it and i'm as calm as ever, despite looking like this."
"Fine Goku, I'll spar with you. To test my own limits too."
"Thank you Krillin. If you want 18, you can join too."
"Fine."
The group then fly to an abandoned shoreline to start their battle. Goku, who has mastered the nature of SSJ4, gets ready to fight the duo of Krillin and 18. Krillin, with renewed fighting interest and bravery; and 18, willing to do anything to bring the money in for her family and willing to test her limits. Once they arrive at the battle site, they get into their fighting stances. 18 launches the attack on Goku, Goku dodges out of the way and kicks 18 to a nearby mountain and focuses on Krillin. Krillin jumped up and dodged Goku's punch and landed a kick on Goku. The kick barely moved Goku and stood there like a wall. Goku then kicks Krillin to a nearby mountain as well, landing near Android 18.
"Come on Krillin! This can't be all you got!" Goku says while standing with his arms crossed up top.
"Damn it! He's gotten so strong with that new form! I had no choice but to use that technique I've been working on."
"Damn, he got so much stronger from the last time we saw him! Time to get serious!"
18 and Krillin look at each other and nod, before standing up to take on Goku. Goku notices their stance and begins powering up more and takes his stance. 18 and Krillin begin a combined assault on Goku, not letting up for a second, hoping to catch the Super Saiyan 4 off-guard. 18 then sees Goku's defense is down and launches him into the air, to where Goku is met by Krillin as Krillin yells out "SOLAR FLARE!" which blinds Goku. With Goku Blinded, Krillin sends Goku crashing down to the ground again. With a smile on Krillin and 18's face, thinking that the battle is over, Goku then teleports over to behind them and launches a Kamehameha at point blank range, defeating them both. Goku then goes over to Krillin and 18, giving them each a senzu and complimenting them on becoming so strong in times of peace. Krillin, although disappointed that he lost, can't help but shake in excitement over his newfound power and confidence. 18 shrugged it off, still having hope about the prize money for after the tournament is over. Goku then asks 18:
"Hey 18, by any chance do you know where your brother is at?"
"Oh, you mean 17? Last I heard he was a wildlife preserve ranger in one of the Archipelago."
"That will probably be hard to find." Goku remarks
"Why don't you try asking Dende where 17 exactly is at?" Krillin asks
"That's a great idea. Thanks Krillin! Oh yeah, you two should head to the lookout once you guys can. Once I get the team ready, I want all of us to train in the Room of Spirit and Time."
With that information in hand, Goku heads to the Lookout to try and find Android 17.
Once Goku arrives at the Lookout, he asks Dende where Android 17 might be and Dende takes Goku directly to the Monster Island that 17 was working at. On the way, Dende mentioned the reincarnation of Majin Boo to Goku, that he is now a human living in a village and to keep that in mind for the future. A little while later, they arrive at Monster Island and Goku then tries to find Android 17. Goku then notices some poachers while finding 17 and the poachers start attacking Goku. Goku immediately knocks out all the poachers with ease, which gives 17 enough time to come from behind and attack Goku, since he thought Goku was with the poachers. After a little fight between the two, 17 was able to get recruited to the Universe 7 team. His next goal was to recruit Piccolo. Getting Piccolo recruited was relatively easy and Piccolo offered to train Gohan before the Tournament of Power begins. Goku then mentions to also go to the Lookout when possible, since he wants everyone to get as strong as possible. Afterwards, Goku then goes to recruit Ten-Shinhan and Master Roshi for the Tournament of Power. With some convincing, they were able to be added to the team lineup. Next up, Goku went to recruit Vegeta. With help from Whis helping Bulma give birth to Bulla, Vegeta was able to be recruited for the tournament. With one more fight left to recruit, Goku was at a standstill as to who to recruit. There seemed to be no more powerful fighters left on Earth, but he wondered if there really were some powerful fighters in the remaining 28 planets in Universe 7. Goku, using instant transmission, locks to an energy on the other side of the Universe that rivals his SS4 form. With interest, Goku instant transmissions to the power. Little did he know he went to Planet Vampa. Looking around for signs of life, Goku finds nothing but giant bug monsters. Out of a nearby cave, comes out a Saiyan. He introduces himself as Paragus. Followed closely behind is Broly. Goku then senses the sharp energy he sensed earlier; Broly was the power that rivaled his SS4. Goku explained why he was there and he needed Broly's power. Paragus gladly accepts the condition if they were able to get out of Vampa. Paragus explained that they have been stuck there since King Vegeta exiled them to this planet a long time ago. Goku accepts to take them to Earth; however he needs to spar with Broly first to test his power. Broly doesn't like fighting, he admits, but Paragus said to fight Goku, it would be good for him. Pregugendly, Broly starts fighting Goku. Broly is able to keep up with Goku with ease and Goku starts exerting more power into the fight. Goku is starting to get even more excited. As the fight progresses, Broly is adapting to Goku's style of fighting and is getting stronger by each passing second. All of a sudden, they get attacked by the monsters of Vampa so they put the fight on hold and defeat the monster. Goku decides that he has seen enough from Broly to warrant him a position on the team and Goku instant transmissions back to Earth, with Broly and Paragus at hand. Once they return to Earth, Paragus then notices Prince Vegeta and gets angry, shouting at Vegeta for the sins of his Father. Vegeta states that nothing his Father did should fall to blame on him and shrugs it off. Goku then tells Paragus to drop any ill-will towards Vegeta. Vegeta has changed since they met so he isn't the cold blooded Saiyan that his Father supposedly was. Paragus drops it for now. Goku goes up to Whis and asks him to come with them, he has a plan. Whis obliges after finishing eating and goes with Goku, Vegeta, Broly, and Paragus to Kami's Lookout, where he finds the rest of Team Universe 7 waiting for him. After introductions are out of the way, Goku explains to Whis in private that he plans on having everyone get as strong as possible before the Tournament starts. And the best way to do it is inside the Room of Spirit and Time, with Whis guiding half the group on God Ki, while Goku trains the Saiyans to use SS4 effectively without demeanor changes. Whis is happy to see Goku taking a leadership role so soon and is more than happy to help. With a little bit over 26 hours left before the Tournament of Power begins, how will Team Universe 7 prepare?!
Chapter 4: The Tournament of Power
24 hours have passed since Team Universe 7 have entered the Room of Spirit and Time, along with Whis for his teachings. Once they come out they are totally unrecognizable in terms of power. Especially the Saiyans. Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Broly appear out of the time chamber looking as menacing as ever. Goku and Vegeta appear in their SS4God forms, completely mastered and perfected to the point it doesn't put a strain on their body and it acts like their base form. They don't even think they know how to turn off the forms anymore, being in a perpetual state of SS4God. Broly and Gohan are somewhat similar, only with a power they call "Ultra Full Power SS4, Limits Broken" (Author's Note: In Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Limits Broken SS4 is portrayed as an inbetween form of SS4 and full SSG. Since there weren't enough Saiyans around to do the full God Ritual, Goku and Vegeta lended Gohan and Broly some of their God Ki after showing them how to transform into a SS4.) At the same time, Piccolo, 18, 17, Krillin, and Ten-shinhan have grown in power thanks to Whis' teachings on the fundamentals of God-Ki and advanced martial arts techniques. Especially giving them hints of Ultra Instinct, the technique of the Gods not able to be achieved easily as a goal post for Universe 7. Whis is utterly delighted at the progress of the strongest mortals of Universe 7. Whis then asks Goku to step aside to talk in private.
"I have to say Goku, I am quite impressed by your growth. And you are one more step away from Ultra Instinct."
"You think so?"
"Yes. Remember when we were spared and you felt something was off since you were dodging me instinctively and without thinking of it?"
"Yeah?"
"That is just a taste of Ultra Instinct. I want you to focus on tapping into that power in the tournament. Consider it as a form of training."
"Got it!"
The team then goes back to Capsule Corp to relax before being taken to the World of Void. Time passes and The Grand Priest summons all the universes to the World of Void. Whis gathers everyone in a circle and transports to the Tournament grounds. One-by-one, all the universes start to appear. A little while later, Universe 11 appears, which catches the attention of Goku and Vegeta, since the other universes really didn't have any impressive fighters compared to them. More specifically, Jiren was the target for them to fight. The Grand Priest then appears with the Zenos, wishing them Good Luck in this tournament and they hope to be entertained. With each universe ready, the Grand Priest announces for the Tournament of Power to begin. With little delay, Goku instructs 17 to surround everyone with a barrier except for himself and Vegeta. 17 creates the barrier and Vegeta asks what Kakarot's plan was. Goku says: "Just powerup; whoever is left from our powerup we fight." Vegeta understands and starts powering up, along with Goku. Their presence and aura was so fierce that it made all the Gods of Destruction tremble in fear of the power of Universe 7. As quickly as the universes entered the tournament, was as quick as they were eliminated. All except the combatants of Universe 6 and 11. The Zenos were shocked at the display of power and promptly erased the eliminated universes. Now the real fight can begin. While Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Broly handle the warriors of Universe 11, Piccolo, Roshi, Tenshinhan, 17, 18, and Krillin handle Universe 6. Each group does well against the two universes. Jiren is having trouble handling Goku in his SS4God state, in both power and speed. Toppo then jumps into the fight to try and help Jiren, but Jiren pushes Toppo aside and starts powering up to full. Goku, impressed with the display of power from Jiren, transforms into SSJ4 Blue, getting even more excited than ever. Meanwhile, Broly and Gohan have eliminated Cocotte, Kettle, Kaserol, and Zoire from the tournament with their raw power and teamwork. Vegeta meanwhile eliminated Tupper, K'nsi, and Vewon. Now he focuses on Light-Speed Mode Dyspo.
"Hmph, this is way too easy. Jump out now while you still can." Vegeta states
"Damn it! You eliminated our team so easily! You won't get away with this!" Dyspo remarks as he rushes to Vegeta, punching him multiple times in the chest, hoping he has some type of damage.
"I'm sorry, but if this is all you can muster, i'm very disappointed. Goodbye" Vegeta states as he blasts Dyspo out of the stage.
Universe 6 looks on in horror at the utter ease the Saiyans have dismantled Universe 11's fighters. Kale and Caulifla hastedly take out their potara and fuse into Kefla. Although Beerus and Champa argue about the legalities, the Zeno's find it refreshing to see fusion so they allow it. Kefla goes after Piccolo first but Piccolo creates clones of himself to confuse kefla. Charging up his Special Beam Cannon, Kefla starts freaking out and powers up even more, but to little success, as Piccolo fires the blast from all clones. Making sure Kefla wouldn't die from the blast, Piccolo aimed for the legs, crippling her. Afterwards, Piccolo threw Kefla out with ease. Sneaking from behind, Hit tries to hit Piccolo, but Piccolo was saved by Master Roshi. Powering up to his Max Power Form, Master Roshi combats Hit, who has improved his Time Skip since the last fight with Goku. Master Roshi gets hit a few times by the Time Skip, but that gives him the opportunity he needs to learn about how the technique works and blindsides Hit and knocks him out with the Sleeping Boy technique / Kamehameha Combo. 17 & 18 team up to take out the other members of Universe 6, thus erasing them. Meanwhile, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Broly are fighting Full Power Jiren and God of Destruction Mode Toppo. Jiren and Toppo are struggling very much against the powers of LBSS4 Gohan / Broly and SSJ4 Blue Goku / Vegeta. With one final powerup, they knock out Jiren with a Kamehameha / Final Flash Combo and Gohan / Broly eliminate Toppo with a Masenko / Gigantic Explosion combo. Universe 11 is now defeated and Erased. With only 2 elapsed, Universe 7 cleaned house of the Universes in record time. Thus Super Shenron is summoned and Goku wishes for the losing Universes to be restored back to life. Super Shenron grants it and Zeno is promised another Tournament of Power.
After preparing for the Tournament of Power and winning, Goku and company go back to Earth to celebrate their new found peace and prosperity. For as whenever a new threat arises, they will be able to handle it. Unbeknownst to them, an old villain from the time of the Kais is plotting his revenge and a new threat is arising in the timeline of their counterparts! Will Goku and company be able to stop this threat and what is this new threat in the other timeline? What would they do without Goku around?
