Light drizzle in middle of the weekday was normal for people of Gemme Region without world of Pokémon. Once bright sun would retreat behind darkening clouds, ready burst. Become a light down pour upon paved street corners and traditional looking buildings. Making people that called this place home for centuries pull out their rain gear. As Pokémon the roamed free or found by besides their human partners. Go about their everyday lives will keeping in mind this day was special one. It was 11th anniversary of Lady Jennifer Isabo Antennae Aunti's death from cancer. She had songbird-like voice along side her simple beauty, for a commoner turned royal. Former Pokémon trainer and shrine maiden that loved an adventure. Who found love with the heir to her region's throne for 13 years before death claimed her.

Who left behind her husband and two wonderful children to mourn her to this very day, since at moment. A young man dressed in military fashion around 5 feet and 5 inches. He whole arms and up to first knuckle of his hand cover in sleeved gloved. Stood in the company his Galvantula as held his mother's favorite flowers within his arms. He was sheltered from falling water droplets by a roof of simple gazebo. Made completely of a crystalline substance that took the lightest shade of blue. Then covered in wonder vine that had year round blue roses budding for all to see. Just wasn't a comforting the sight for this visitor holding back his tears. His was looked upon a stone carving of his late mother. Her royal name followed by her date of birth and death underneath. Along with words forever loved with paw prints of her Pokémon to follow.

"Hey, mom." The guy man could muster. "Long time no see."

He trembled with a great sadness as he tried not to cry in her presence upon remembering something she once said, "Don't cry my little one, your smile is your best feature."

Sensing his master's pain, Galvantula would end up crawling to closer to him to gently nuzzle his pants leg. Wanting him to know that he was here to comfort him in his time of need. Forgetting about the small amount of static discharge that he gave off when moving against his master. Since he ended up mildly shocking his master out of his tears.

"Sorry Galvantula." Young man looked down to his companion Pokémon of 9 years.

Smile replaced the tears as he sniffled some before kneeling down to placed the flowers. Telling his mom his was leaving once more for another Pokémon related journey with Galvantula. He was heading to Alola region to participate in their version of pokemon legion, and even Island challenge.

"Wish me luck." He wanted his late mother to be proud of him.

He and Galvantula have stayed longer to further tell his mother his adventures in Kalos region. How he came in 3rd in their Pokémon league after collecting the badges he needed. Wasn't for his governess calling him by his royal name from inner parts of his grandmother's rose garden. Reminding him about guests of father were arriving and how he needed to be ready.

"How did you survive?" He asked his mother.

He knew his mother was a commoner who worked in a berry shop before she met and fell in love. She knew next to nothing about how to behavior or mannerisms during their courting years. Leaving her to learn on the fly of how she needed to present herself to them.

"Prince Kiel!" His governess called him once more. "You don't get moving, I'll have to get your father."

Deep within the walls of a palace that been around since the ancient times within world of pokemon. A tingling sensation crawled up the spine of a fellow around his mid-30s, without single grey hair on his head or wrinkle. No taller six feet with good amount muscle, with long golden rod hair bond by leather strap draped over a shoulder. In long sleeve button up shirt tucked into pair of tailored slacks. Embroidered waistcoat worn over his shirt with gold chain linked to a pocket to a lapel pin. His hands were covered completely in wrist length gloves of a white coloring. These embroidered calf length boots that laced up on the sides. Sighed when he adjusted ends of his sleeves for a second while guessing his son was in some kinds of trouble.

Reached out toward a picture, that sat beside frame of his mirror and drew a sad grin on his face. People posed in varieties ways were no older then teenagers and surrounded by their Pokémon. Each one dressed differently since they came from a different region. Had him grasping the framed picture with one gloved hand when he walked away from his mirror. Recalling his late wife arguing with one of her friends about how this picture would be important. How he needed to hold still with everybody else for an image to be captured. She shared once, how this was one of favorite moments with their friends.

"Jen, I wish you were here to greet them beside me." He whispered looking smiling face of his late wife, as a teen. Even in that hooded sweater with decorative holes in the shoulders and plaid, skirt. Thigh length stockings and lace-up 3/4 length boots with inch heel. Her hair was done in a bun up in a complex braid with an eevee on one shoulder as she held her Jolteon. Standing between two other girls within the picture still stirred his heart.

Had him put down the picture when a servant entered his chambers with her head tuckered upon addressing him. Spoke of the first of his guests arriving from the private air strip. Which had him instructing her to show them to a formal sitting room until he was ready. Got him a head nod and left alone to further his thoughts before her combed his fingers through his hair.

"Calm down and breath." He puts down the picture.

He was given a rude reminder he wasn't alone in the room since a Bastiodon got his attention. By gently head butting his side as a reminder he wanted to get going and not mope about. Got his master to grabbed a capelet he wore on his right shoulder when he headed for the door.

"Coming?" He called to this Bastiodon upon opening the doors.

Release of air was all this Bastiodon needed to go running out of the room with his master beside him. Leading the way to the formal a sitting room by turning corners and hallways. Brought a smile to his master's face when he pulled on his capelet on to shoulder. Making sure the cord that held the piece of outer wear in place was fasten. Coming to a stop outside a door of where old friends a waited for him inside.

Out went a gloved hand toward the top of this Bastiodon's head by his master as he walked forward. Passed the doors they went to greet faces of people he and his late wife once called friends. Faces that had been aged by time into young adults that now children of their own. One went by the name of Joey Marshall with his loving wife hooked on his arm and his three children.

"So what do we call you, Your highness or same old Brent?" Joey was to the first that cracked the ice. He now stood at six feet and two inches with hard muscle on a body that had seen farthest corner of the Earth. In a gi secured with a sash style around his waist and lace-less slip ones, and also a tank top. His hair still worn in its old style with a few inches cut off and in a darker shade.

"Glad to see you as well." Smile of a once naive young prince would be revealed as former Pokémon trainer and accomplished violinist. Who had long since grown into a single father. "Fatherhood and being married fit you well."

"Yes it has." Joey looked to his children and wife.

Resting against his side was his wife of 17 years happily watching. She was a demon weapon of female kind in human form. They're children were a 9 year old boy named Jon, a 14 year old girl named named Minako with a Pansage, and 16 year old girl named Serena with a Grookey.

"Is Brent even your actually name?" Another women with flowing hair in a sundress and flats. She stood at five feet and five inches just near the buffet table with amused grin on her face. Asking an question she been wanting to ask for years. "Being that Jena once told me you had more then one name."

"I have three names I go by." Brent listed them. "My given name I go by with all of you, My noble name, and then my royal title."

"Do share your noble name?" She insisted.

"Baronet Alexi Brenton Dyson Gemme." He spoke a mouthful. "Brent Gemme has been just fine."

This women asking this question was Erika and she was refilling her empty glass with more punch. Who was soon joined by another women with her hair pinned up and dressed rather casually. She was around Erika's height and barely finishing her first glass of punch. Didn't have much to say since Joey and Erika already said everything that was said.

"Until my son joins us,I think I'll share why I ask you all here." Brent reached toward Bastiodon. "We all Jack disappeared five years old without a word to any of us, or his family."

"Don't remind us." Joey didn't want to listen.

"Claire and Finoa still haven't recovered, they both miss him so much." Amy and Erika had been worried for them.

Brent silenced them stating he was looking in the matter, unable to take another minute of Jack's absence. Bringing up one of a few promise he made to Jena before she left them for afterlife. One was to always look after their friends since she wouldn't be able to anymore.

"You all know I've keeping a vow." Brent looked to his Bastiodon.

"We know." Erika cheered or him.

Started up a lively conversation between the adults left Bailey and Trent to raid the buffet table with their Pokémon. Resolved in their mother needing to keep an eye on them as they snacked. Worry about the two making a mess always left her in a tizzy afterward. Didn't last long when passed the doorway of the room with his hands in his pockets and Galvantula following. Kael stopped in place with apology to his father's guests for being late. Ready to go about acting to further speak about what he had missed for being late. Running toward him Joey's children with their Pokémon came at him. Talking a word a second about wanting to know how his latest journey in Kalos region went.

"Children, leave him alone since he just joined us." Their mother reminded them.

Away from Kael they were turned so that he could be waved over to where father and his friends stood. Not liking the sensation that crawled up his spine when he slowly made his way to them. Stopping when he got close enough to be asked about heading to Danto region. Way his son's eyes went wide for a few second before remembering someone. Had him to revisit a place that was apart of his Pokémon journey as a trainer. He just needed to dig out his Galvantulalite and Mega Bracelet from his closet. It had been sometime when he needed the actual item in a Pokémon battle.

"Be packed and ready to leave after breakfast." Brent advised his son.

Got his a head nod before Trent and Bailey insisted on hearing about his latest Pokémon adventure. Left Kael to carol them near one of the cushion chairs in corner of the room. His Galvantula quickly following behind them until he crawled up the chair to rest. Happily accepting his master's fingers sticking his furry backside when a story began. Leaving those those children to be distracted until the bed time for them happened. Their mother would hurry them off to the guests room to be tucked in for the night. Joey would soon join them after saying his good night with Amy following. Erika was that wished Brent good luck in getting back before she walked off with a yawn.

Leaving Brent in the company of his Bastiodon in a sitting room the servants would clean up. Working around Brent until he was left to walk out the room with his Pokémon companion following. He pace was quick and took to a part of Palace reserved for royal family. Heading for a room filled with instruments that had been restored by skilled hands. Stopping before a music stand holding sheet music for a violinist to play. One Brent would end up playing on a worn violin and bow that had seen better days. Music that he played was a song Jena once sung just him and Jack when she was alive. One that made Bastiodon settle on a large pillow in corner of the room with a yawn. Fall asleep to a melody that did the opposite effect to Brent when he started to cry.

Fill the Palace with a song so gently and soothing to everyone's ears

Have the presence of lost a deceased soul

Arriving within the Danto region was a risk that had planned to the last detail by Brent for this visit. Deciding to by plane through airport just outside Clock Town he was acquired Region Passes for his son and himself, he thought back Jack's disappearance. How restrictions on outside visitors to this region revolve around that incident. He balanced the handle of his violin case to tuck one of the passes into his pocket. Other would be handed to his son standing near by just people watching. Staying quiet when corner of his father's coat was pulled by his Gallade pointing out the time. Reminding them of an existing appointment they had with an important person.

"Ready?" Brent asked Kael.

He got a simple head nod from his son while they were on their way to tea with someone. Meant heading toward the castle where familiar face was waiting them in her private garden. Who was present with a basket of Poffins baked from Jena's recipe with local berries. Impressed their guest and sadly reminded her of the bond her daughter shared with her husband. Memories of a smile her daughter stopped wearing reeled through her mind. Ones her daughter from her first meeting with one of her father's Pokémon, before her 10th birthday. Times when her daughter was told of her father's adventures as bedtime stories. Now replaced with empty and sad eyes that were slowly becoming distance.

Somehow had Brent asking about their children being about to meet and get to know one another. Have a battle with their Pokémon after a proper form of greeting among their children. Sharing one of Jena's regretted never had their children actually meet during her declining years. Got him told he was going to have a hard time getting in the same room, or at least finding her. Seems her daughter has picked up a habit of disappearing at all hours of day or night. Got her telling Brent good luck in finding her during the rest of his visit here.

"Kael, you up to exploring?" Brent asked him with looking away.

"I have been inching to check out their underground Pokémon battle scene." Kael felt chill of excitement run and down his spine.

"Using your uncle or grandfather's Pokémon?" Brent asked his son.

"Grandpa." Kael nods his head.

Brent excused his son from their presence without moving a muscle as he sipped his tea and Gallad munched on a poffin. Before their guest by the name Finoa came to ask if letting his son go out alone was safe. Left Brent to put down his tea cup and reclined back into his seat with folded arms. Trying to sum an explanation about his son''s preferred way of discovering a region's culture. A custom he blamed himself for passing on to his son and his late wife encouraged when their son become trainer. One that had to do with battling with his pokemon in official or unofficial setting among fellow trainers.

"Jena always said he was natural in competition style battling." Brent sighed happily. "You' have to see he's reward mantle back at home."

"Then our children share something." Finoa came to share about her daughter.

One of many things that reminded her things that her daughter had of Jack was skill in a competition style battling. Way she got along with her own pokemon before she stepped into a battle or always cheered them own when battle took place. Showed a spirit that had sadly reminded her of someone that disappeared from her side and left a void. Sent the rest of the mood for their tea together before hours passed and they would need to go their own ways, for the evening. Brent turned down Finoa's invitation to spend the night after assuring her about him and his son having a place. Being the pokemon center while Brent was able to play his violin in a soft melody for mending pokemon in a recovery room. Music alone got Chansey to hum along when she covered the front desk after helping Nurse Joy. She in turn called his playing a form of therapy that has a soothing effect on anyone that gave time to listen to him playing. Gave Brent a chance when he took a break to ask her about a trainer of royal lineage being apart of battle scene. As in her bringing in her roughed up pokemon for treatment after a round or two of battles against other trainers.

All she had to give him was a disappointment about identity of a certain trainer seeking aid for her pokemon after hours. Many unknown trainers that came in after hours with damaged pokemon always never gave a name or hide their face. Making reporting them to Officer Jenny and one of the Danto Guards hard since they never stuck around long enough. Left her to apologize for not giving Brent the answer he was looking for when their conversation started. In the lobby Brent stayed for most of the night with his Gallad and his Gardevoir dancing around to his song. Whatever trainers came in seeking help for their pokemon were taken with his songs and through a few coins his way. Some stuck around to wait out the end of his music to ask all kinds of questions about his playing or ask about his Gallad and his Gardevoir.

Any requests for actual battle that did come up were turned down by him when trickling of trainers become less and less. Until he son came back to the center some time around 1-ish in the morning with his Galvantula following beside him. Only pokemon that Kael needed looked over with a few scratches was his Impidimp before joining his father. Speaking of how he found a underground pokemon fighting ring with a masked figure being popular one. Had quite a following among spectators and already defeated trainers since one of them was the son of Jack's old rival. Way this Horus intensely watched this masked figure instructed their poekmon to move throughout the battle. Left Kael impressed to the point he was going to challenge this person behind that mask to a battle next time he went.

"Their style is almost similar to that of Mr Davis." Kael recalled how they interacted with their pokemon.

"First thing tomorrow I think I know what we'll be doing." Brent already had plans. "First thing first."

Brent would put away his violin for the next as he needed to use the video phone to call Professor Sunflower for a quick check in. Along with speaking to her about having a few of his pokemon sent to him from a list he made out during his first break. What amused her was him asking for about his Alolan Torkoal or his Tirtouga left in her care for some years. Before they moved on to Jena's former pokemon and which one of them was available for him. Turned in a small chat about why he was suddenly bringing up pokemon and what he doing. His answer came in form of riddles before he went on to give her a farewell for the night.

"Dad?" Kael wondered how his father ogt a Alolan Torkoal. "When were you in Alola region?"

"Your mom and me went there a year before you were born." Brent walked toward the front desk. "We stayed with a friend while your mother took up a pose a Professor Kukui's research assistant. I focused on my violin while working with local pokemon recuse group."

"You never partook in the island trail?" Kael asked.

"No I want in mood at the time." Brent waited for nurse Joy. "How I came across and befriended a Alolan Torkoal."

Nurse Joy happily complied with one of his requests for a map of Danto region while informing Kael his Impidimp will be ready in a hour. He was willing to wait while asking about the cafeteria being opened since he hadn't eaten a decent meal. Got him a escorted by his father and sat a the nearest table with a meal brought to him by Chansey as his dad studied his map. Leaving him to eat in silence as his Galvantula busied himself with his own bowl of pokemon chew.

"Do I want to know what your planning?" Kael asked his father.

"We both know I am not one to give away my plan." Brent warned his son.
