Disclaimers – I do not own Transformers Hasbro does I only own Beth.

Why should I trust you?
Chapter 1
The air was humid. So, humid in fact that your clothes would stick to your body. A young woman sat on a porch staring at her watch while a string of cuss words tumbled out of her mouth.
"See, you never keep your word, dad, never, jackass!" she shouted as she got to her feet.
The girl's name was Beth. She was your average-looking young woman. She had lengthy blonde hair, dressed stylishly, and had a temper that wouldn't quit. She also was compassionate, loyal, and loving. Beth was the kind of person who, when she knew something was wrong, made it right, much to the disdain of her father.
"Fine, I guess I am coming to you, dad," she said with a grumble as she grabbed her keys and backpack.
She got into her dilapidated car, one her father had no use for, but she only wanted something to get her around with. She drove to the building her father worked in, along with so many others. Beth knew her father was CIA, but she also knew this particular group was shady as hell. Two men worked there; she couldn't stand Harold Attinger and Joshua Joyce and some tart of a blonde named Darcy.
Beth arrived at the building where her dad worked, parked her car, got out, and headed for the building. She was mildly irritated, to say the least, as she happened to notice a young couple counting money as they got into a vehicle.
She squinted as she unexpectedly remembered them, especially the guy. He was Sam Witwicky, and the girl had to be Mikaela Banes. She walked past the exchange going on, but she did manage to hear part of the conversation going on.
"Harold Attinger would like to thank you for all your help, Mr. Witwicky, in capturing him especially," the unidentified man said.
"Was glad to help; all I ever wanted was a normal life," Sam said.
"Well, now you've got it," the unidentified man said.
"Yeah, thanks," Sam replied.
"No, Mr. Witwicky, thank you," the unidentified man said as Beth rolled her eyes and continued heading for the entrance to the building.
Beth headed for the elevator and got into it, and her slender finger hit the level number, and the door closed.
Beth spotted the blonde she couldn't stand and merely started to breeze past her when she dared to stop her.
"Excuse me, but your father is busy, Beth," Darcy remarked.
"Save your breath, not listening," Beth retorted as she once more rolled her eyes as she saw her father in Attinger's office with Joyce.
"I did tell you he is busy," Darcy said as she walked up.
"Yeah, he is always busy; he never has time for anything anymore," Beth snapped. "Who knows, maybe one night after he comes when he feels like coming home, I won't be there, any longer for lack of love," she snapped as she took one final glance and her eyes locked with her father's hardened and cruel eyes.
She knew he knew she was there; he looked right at her!
"Whatever," she snapped. "I am so done," she growled as she stalked away and back toward the elevator.
However, when Beth got into the elevator out of anger, she hit the wrong floor. While at the same time, Darcy knocked on Attinger's office door, and he urged her in.
"What'd my daughter want, Darcy?"
"She said she wanted to talk to you about something. I told her you were rather busy and went on about one of these days she would not be home," Darcy said.
"That line again, I swear being responsible for Beth is very annoying," he said.
"Mr. Savoy, perhaps sending her away somewhere?" Darcy offered.
"No, she's my responsibility, Darcy," Savoy answered.
"Can we get back to the meeting, please?" Attinger asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, go ahead," Savoy said.
"Joyce, what other types of experiments do you have planned for Prime?" Attinger asked.
"A lot, though, he isn't making things easy," Joyce said.
"We don't want him dead too soon, do we?" Savoy asked.
"No, but he is the leader and Prime, which makes him much stronger than the others," Attinger replied.
"I have a lot planned for him, though," Joyce said.
"Good," Attinger and Savoy said at the same time.
"Speaking of which, does your daughter know what we do here?" Joyce asked.
Savoy laughed.
"Are you kidding?" Savoy asked sardonically.
"Just asking," he asked.
Meanwhile, the elevator stopped, and Beth got out only to realize she wasn't on the right floor.
"Oh shit," she grumbled as she went to turn back into the elevator; she heard sounds like a robotic whirl and someone making sounds with medical instruments.
Then Beth heard voices, and she hid.
"Let's break for dinner; he isn't going anywhere," someone said.
Beth watched the men leave, and when the elevator left, she left her hiding spot and went to investigate. She hurried to check out what the commotion was about, and there on a massive lab table was Optimus Prime, the Autobots leader!
