A/N: So… obviously, this might be the first, ever, Frozen fanfic crossover between Frozen and Nanatsu No Taizai, aka Seven Deadly Sins. Because, whelp, looking at Elizabeth and then comparing with Elsa, seeing how similar they are, an AU situation comes to mind, one thing leads to another, and this story idea was formed in mind.
Hope you enjoy it! :)
Prologue: The years gone by
"Don't cry…"
Her breathing was shallow, ocean eyes crying tears, blood slowly trickling from the hole that went past her knightly armor and through her chest.
But that's all he could do. Simply watch her dying before her, the dragons rampaging the kingdom of Danafor, unable to bear the pain in his beating hearts...
Yet, somehow, she had used her remaining strength to smile at him, to comfort him as the life slowly left before her eyes.
"We'll meet again…"
As her body then went limp, the blonde-haired knight, who stood with pure shock in front of her, found the strength to somehow walk slowly towards her. The young man had then took hold of her limp body as he began to cry, clenching his jaw as he felt the anger get to him.
"Again… again, I couldn't save you…"
He trembled with anger, feeling the darkness getting to him, as he clutched the cold body of his love closer to him. Emerald eyes began to change color, growing black as the night itself, as he felt the darkness of his soul begin to take over him.
"I… don't know how… much longer I… can take this…"
The darkness, overwhelming his body, was freed as he let it go, swallowing up everything, the fallen kingdom, the dead bodies of the citizens, the dragons, the demons…
The darkness took everything that day.
"Hey, lad, you okay?"
The young man had been lost in thought, the voice of the ship's captain addressing him when he had snapped back into reality. As he had been looking out at the sea, distracted by something in his mind, he turned around to find the elderly ship's captain looking at him, flashing a cheerful grin in response.
"Yep! I'm okay! Thanks for asking!"
As the ship's captain gave one last, quizzical glance at him, the old man gave a shrug before he decided to go and check on the other crew members. All while the young man turned back to the sea as he continued to watch the waves of the ocean splash against the ship.
While enjoying the sight of the ocean before his emerald eyes, the young man thought about how he loved the feeling of being on a ship. After all, he had been lucky to secure a boarding pass on this ship, deciding to perhaps travel to a different kingdom than the one he had lived in for the past years or so.
Just to travel the world and see new places for himself. Maybe to find a place to build a new bar where people might actually enjoy his cooking for once.
Besides, the sea brought him a sense of calm, a feeling of peace he longed to feel ever since that… fateful day years ago.
When he had lost her, his love…
The young man shook his head, stretching out his arms while enjoying the cool breeze of the air blow against his golden locks. Not only that, but he also made sure the green sword hilt, behind his back, was strapped tightly to him, checking that it was inserted well in the scabbard he wore.
Relieved, with a deep breath, he sighed with relief, looking out to the sea once more with a warm smile…
Only to turn around with curiosity as something caught his attention from behind.
Apparently, while he had been trying to enjoy the sight of the ocean, some men were drunk enough to try to open one of the cargo boxes to release the content inside, a pink pig now running around on the ship as they greedily tried to catch it.
All while the pig squeaked for help.
"Get away from me! Help me! Do you know who I am?! I'll have you know that I will…"
Unfortunately, one of the men had caught the pig, the animal squealing with surprise as it tried to free itself from the grasp of the drunk man. The other men, who were talking about what to do with the mystical animal, tried to help the man hold the animal down.
After all, such was a sight of a talking animal rare to the world, the idea of making money off of it deep in their mind. And as the men laughed evilly from their thoughts, they never saw the blonde-haired man walking towards them with a frown.
And kicked them all at the same time.
The drunk men were clearly caught off-guard when they were sent sprawling across the deck, the pig thanking the young man for saving him as the drunken sailors tried to get up from the floor to see who had kicked them.
When they did, they growled at him with seething anger. "Just, now, what you're thinking you're doing, blondie?"
The young man shrugged, the pig hiding behind him as he kept a straight face. "Nothing. Just protecting my property, that's all."
As the drunk sailors clenched their fists menacingly at him, he tilted his head slightly, curiosity still visible in his eyes. "You sure you want to do this?"
One of the drunk sailors, clearly a taller and more muscular man than the young man himself, smirked, a laugh escaping his lips. "Why? You scared, runt?"
The young man blinked once before he sighed, shaking his head with disappointment. "Well, well, well, I hoped it wouldn't come down to this, but alright."
He lifted his head, a kind smile upon his lips. "I got time for a fight."
The drunk sailor smirked before he charged at the young man, a fist throwing towards the blondie as he tried to punch him, hoping that the young man would regret those words…
Only to be sent flying across the ship as he landed in the crates, knocked out by a single flick of the young man's fingers.
The other two drunks, seeing their fallen comrade out cold, then charged at the young man, trying to punch him as he easily evaded their punches with a yawn…
Before he sidestepped them, lightly tapping them on their heads as they fell to the deck floor of the ship. Unconscious.
As he regained his balance, he made sure the sword was still in its place while the large pig checked on the unconscious sailors, snorting on them as he proudly boasted.
"That's right! That's what you get for messing with me, Sir… ow!"
However, he didn't notice the young man was right behind, simply pinching his ears as the pig winced while squealing in pain. "Okay, okay! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!"
As he let go of the pig's ear, who simply grumbled about the young man always being mean to him, the two now found themselves to be the attention of the entire ship, the rest of the crew, and the ship's captain himself, staring in pure shock and awe from what they just witnessed.
It didn't make things better when the pig whispered to the young man with a hint of fear. "What are we gonna do?"
The young man, raising a hand to his chin thoughtfully, snapped his fingers as his eyes sparkled brilliantly with an idea. "Leave that to me!"
As he stood up straighter, the young man pointed at the knocked out men as a grin came across his face. "Well, they started it! I just knocked them out in self-defense!"
"You idiot! You're not supposed to say that!" The pig squealed as it tugged on his pants with his teeth.
As the young man tried to remove the pig off of him, the ship's captain approached him carefully, eyeing the unconscious drunk sailors with a hint of impression in his eyes, and walked up to the two as he now eyed them carefully.
The pig held its breath while the young man simply stared back, the two slightly unsure what was going to happen...
Surprisingly, the ship's captain extended his hand towards the young man with a thankful smile.
"Thank you. For dealing with those men."
"Huh?!" The pig was clearly surprised the most that the ship's captain was thankful for the young man to knock them out. "Aren't you mad?"
The ship's captain, who was still surprised that the pig was speaking to him, shook his head as he turned his attention back to the young man. "Not at all! In fact, they were trouble aboard the ship, and no one had the guts to teach them a lesson." The old man smiled, his hand still in the air. "So thank you, young man!"
The young man gave a nod as he accepted the handshake, stepping back as he placed his hands on his hips with a smile. "Well, no problem! I'm glad to have helped!"
As the crew went back to performing their tasks, some taking away the drunk men and leaving them slumped by barrels, the old man spoke once again to the young man, clearly interested in his abilities and who he was.
"So, if by any chance, are you traveling? Also, who trained you to be such an amazing fighter?"
The young man replied back, choosing his answers carefully. "Well, I'm just trying to find the perfect place where I can build a bar to serve people, but I haven't been lucky yet. Of course, the drinks I serve are just the best, but it seems like not many people drink booze these days. As for your other question, that's kinda… my secret."
The pig scoffed, shaking its head. "But not his food…"
"What did you say?" The young man asked the pig, surprising the animal as it stammered.
"Uh… nothing! I said nothing!"
As the ship's captain and the young man laughed, the old man calmed down enough as he raised a hand to his chin thoughtfully. "Well, since you're traveling son, may I suggest you give Arendelle a try?"
The young man raised an eyebrow, clearly interested. "Arendelle? What's that?"
"Well," the ship's captain explained, "It's a nearby kingdom, in Norway, where you might have a chance to get great business. After all, travelers head there a lot, and they could use a bar every now and then. Besides, you might even have a chance to even meet the royals themselves!"
"Really?"
"Oh yes! That's for sure!"
As the young man thought about this, he gave a thumbs up when he had decided. "Alright, I'll give Arendelle a shot. Who knows? Maybe they might even enjoy the booze as well."
With a final, hearty laugh, the ship's captain gave one last thanks to the young man, turning around as he began to walk away from the young man.
But before he could, he remembered he had forgotten to ask the young man about his name, turning around to find the blonde-haired man now talking with the pig about the idea of starting a bar in Arendelle.
"I almost forgot," the ship's captain caught the young man's attention, "What was your name, lad, if I may ask?"
The young man, upon hearing the question, simply flashed a grin, raising a hand as he gestured to himself proudly while the pig sighed with a shake of its head.
"Well, if you're asking, the name is Meliodas! Nice to meet you!"
A/N: Prologue completed! And, to be honest as before, this might just be the first-ever crossover between Seven Deadly Sins and Frozen itself. How did this idea come to mind? Well, let's just say that it must have just been a mere coincidence for Elsa and Elizabeth to look almost exactly like each other, and, whelp, before you know it, boom!
So, in this fanfic AU, the story of Elizabeth never happened nor Liones nor the second Holy War. Instead, Meliodas is simply traveling around, wondering why he hasn't seen Elizabeth's reincarnation yet since Liz's death. Of course, some plot from SDS will be involved in the story, along with Frozen plot as well, but Meliodas will be in a surprise when he meets Elsa, Elizabeth's new incarnation, while dealing with the life in Arendelle.
Won't spoil more though, that's all for now.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the prologue and give this fanfic idea a try! Reviews are appreciated as always! Until next chapter, folks! :)
