Carmen was going to kill the chief of ACME. Killing her father was one thing, but kidnapping Player was another. When Player stopped answering her calls she became worried. When he activated his tracker and microphone she knew something had happened to him. And when she heard the chief's voice on the microphone she was out for blood. In the years she and Player had been friends she had learned a thing or two about hacking. Once she got a lock on the last pinged place on her map she made her move.

She took the white van and grabbed Zack and Ivy. Aggressively, she shoved Zack into the driver's seat and Ivy in the back. The siblings were worried. In the years they had known her they had never seen her like this. Zack drove to where the tracker pinged. Once they were at their destination Carmen jumped out and threw a mask on. In favor of her usual teasing personality she had adopted a more serious personality.

She didn't wait for Zack and Ivy to catch up, choosing to just barge into the agency gathering the attention of many. Before they got a chance to react she threw sleeping gas. Some of them were smart enough to put on masks. She ran towards the computer room to look at the holding rooms. There were a few people along the way that she made quick work of. Knocking them out a little more aggressively than she had to. Leaving a few bloody noses and broken noses in her wake.

Once she reached the control room she hacked into the computer getting the location on Player's cell. There weren't any more agents along the way. When Carmen reached the cell she saw the chief of ACME standing there. In the flesh. There were a few agents behind her gripping their guns uneasily as they saw the look of anger on Carmen's face.

"Carmen Sandiego," Chief said, trying to get her attention.

However Carmen jumped right over the agents and continued towards the holding room. There were agents trailing behind her, but she didn't stop nor care. Instead of pickpocketing an agent and stealing a card, Carmen just kicked the door down in her haste to see Player again. She calmed down a little bit once she saw Player, but her anger flared up even more. He's 16 for goodness sake. She quickly made her way over to him and untied him from the chair. She took his face and examined the small bruise on the side of his head.

"Come on, we gotta get you out of here. Put this on," Carmen handed Player a mask as she reached for another canister of sleeping gas. Even if they were wearing masks they would still be somewhat distracted. She nudged Player a bit then they both broke out into a run. Player was ahead of her and got out before the building went on full lock down. Carmen was not as lucky however.

"Carmen Sandiego," Chief tried again. This time Carmen did pay attention.

"Chief," Carmen spat.

"Look what we did there was necessary. After hacking into our files we had to know who's side you were on."

"And you couldn't have just checked what files were opened?"

"..."

"Exactly my point. You just rush to action not thinking of the other possibilities, better possibilities. And have to live with the guilt. That's why you use sleep gas, isn't it. Wouldn't want a repeat of Dexter Wolf." Chief looked at her with wide eyes. Why's she want to know about my biggest failure? Chief questioned.

"My Father."

If possible, the chief looked even more startled than before.

The chief looked like she wanted to say something but smartly kept her mouth shut.

Carmen walked closer to the Chief, "If you touch one of them again I'll kill you."

Carmen started to walk away. "Is that a threat ?"

"No, it's a promise."

That statement chilled everyone to the bones. Even Zack, Ivy, and Player who were waiting in the car. That seemed so out of character for a person like Carmen.
