Author's note: Hello everyone, this here is my very first non crossover fanfic and a more ship centered one to be precise. What ship is this story about? Well it's none other than Aruto and Izu from Kamen Rider Zero-One! Yep, this will be my very first time writing a ship focus fanfic, so it's going to be a lot shorter than the other fanfics I've written because it's only going to focus the relationship between Aruto and Izu.
Before any of you gonna said it, but I could hear some of you calling me a disgusting pervert for shipping an android with a human. But seriously though in this day and age anything is possible when it comes to relationships, and this isn't the first time when there's a relationship between a human and a robot occurs. Besides, I find the chemistry between Aruto and Izu to be genuine and wholesome.
Which is why I'm writing this in the first place, I want to see if I could develop that relationship even further somehow. Plus with Zero-One close to being over and being shortened due to this darn virus pandemic, though I highly doubt that we'll be see that much of Aruto x Izu ship in the main series either way. But it will always be canon in my heart.
Also, this is based on a fan comic called President Aruto's Sleepless Night written by a Japanese artist ッぱらんす or 10pperance on his pixiv account or on his/her twitter account and the fan art was then translated to English by BakAnki on facebook. Go check out both of them and give them a praise! But there will be some differences to this fanfic and the fan comic, not to mentioned this will extend more than just one chapter. So without further a do, let's begin shall we?

On a starry night sky, the young former President of Hiden Intelligence Aruto Hiden was sitting on top of an old building that was now his newly developed business company Hiden Manufacturing. The Rider then lied down on the roof top of the upper building where the stares are bellow him, he simply stared up at the night sky, reminiscing what's been happening to his whole life, from transforming into Kamen Rider Zero-One for the first time to losing his grandfather's company to Gai Amatsu the CEO of ZAIA Enterprise Japan. Under his rules, Humagears are now banned so he could developed non AI technology for people to use.
Aruto sigh in dismal, staring up at the starry night sky as he couldn't helped but to feel a sense of pride have been crushed by that douche Gai. He understands that Humagears have a very high potential to be corrupted with or without being hacked by MetsubouJinrai dot net and attacking civilians, but do they deserved to be disposed like this? After all his grandfather Konesuke believed in their potential and he inherited the rights to them and Zero-One, are Humagears really that different from people?
He let his thoughts wondered around him for a bit, trying to make sense in all of the things that's been going on "Grandpa, do I really deserved to be president in the first place?" He talked to himself "I know I inherited the rights to, but wouldn't Mr. Fukuzoe be a more fitting candidate? Now that I lost the company to Gai?" He said with sorrow, the disappointments began to weighing down on him.
It was a quiet night that even the sound of the breeze, grass and the chirping of crickets can be heard as clear as day...even though it's really night time. Now he had to make an entirely new company and re-building everything from zero to restore the Humagears back into society. He could only imagined the kind of responsibility he has to commit as time progresses.
"President Aruto. Is that you sir?" an all too familiar voice had interrupted his thoughts. Aruto sit right back up and turned his attention down bellow the plat form to see his Humagear secretary Izu, staring up at him as she got outside.
Izu would be easily mistaken for a human if it weren't for her Humagear Model ears and her qr code on her left hand. She had shoulder length black hair, white pristine skin and blue eyes and pink cherry lips. She wears a white coat with a few black lines on the cuffs, sleeves, waist and neck along with teal trimmings and a tail coat reached to the knees, a teal skirt with a black line on the right, black and teal leather skin tights with black ankle heel boots, along with a large black bow on the right side of her neck.
"Oh Izu! Nice to see you out here." He greeted with a hint of joy while the A.I android stared up at him in curiosity.
"President Aruto, may I ask as to what are you doing up at this time of hour?" his secretary asked as she starts to climb up on a ladder to reach to him.
"Oh I um...I'm just watching the night sky, enjoying the stars." The young president said, looking up the starry night as he lies down flat on the floor again "It makes me wanna see Zea from down here." he tell his secretary.
This immediately caught Izu's attention as she reaches up the ladder and walk up to Aruto before sitting down right next to him. Seeing him viewing the starry night where the satellite Zea was high above in space.
"Maybe I should transform into Zero-One, perhaps it will give me better vision to look up there." he wonders out loud.
Izu feel intrigued by his statement of wanting to transform, just to see the satellite "Aruto sir. For whatever reason do you need to see satellite Zea?" The female Humagear asked him with confusion.
"I'm not quite sure myself." He told his dear assistant as he looked back at the sky "Maybe I just wondered how it would feel like to look at Zea all the way from down here." he said as he slowly sat straight up.
This only confuses Izu more as her head tilted to her left "Whatever gave you that impression sir?" she asked.
Aruto takes a deep breath before sighing deeply "Well...somehow it makes me feel like grandpa was watching me all the way from up there." he hollowly stated as he stares up at the stars again.
The synthetic A.I android thought hard for the moment, then she decided to look up on the internet in her mind as she's searching for what the feeling of one's deceased relative watching could possibly mean. She has to use few keywords like looking up at the starry night sky, how Zea could involved with all of it and most importantly she analyses his facial expressions, his health, vitals and other physical stats. Over a few minutes, she conclude that there's one thing in Aruto's mind.
"Sir, could it be that you are...depressed?" Izu carefully asked, hoping that she's not too blunt on her question.
Which immediately got Aruto of guard as he looked back at her "What me? Depressed? Well I'm..." he was about to dismiss her claim, but seeing her face gave him second thoughts "I'm...well... honestly I really can't say that I'm not. I mean I did lose grandpa's company to ZAIA after all." he admitted his feelings, as much as he wanted to keep it within him. He then hung his head down as he swing his legs "Izu, I'm worried that I have let grandpa down. Maybe Mr. Fukuzoe was right, maybe I'm not that qualify to be president after all." he said in sorrow.
Izu eyes rapidly blinks as her model ears flashes blue "Aruto sir." the secretary type Humagear said.
"Yes Izu?" The young president asked as he turned to her.
"Could you come closer to me?" she gently asked.
"Um...sure of course." he complied as he did so.
"And can you lean down a bit sir?" she asked again.
"Like this?" again Aruto did just that.
"Excellent! Now bend over a bit to your right." she continue to ask him until he did as she just told him to "Perfect! Now just hold there for a bit." she tells him to.
"Izu, what is this about?..." Aruto was about to ask until he was interrupted.
UM CHU!
At this moment, time and space have just stopped as he could feel his entire being froze in place the moment those soft lips rested on his left cheek. When those tendered lips departed from his cheek, his entire core was still stiff as he started to heat up. Seconds became minutes and minutes became hours as the breeze brush through his reddened face.
The president of Hiden Manufacturing blinked a few times before he regain his bearings "Um Izu..." Aruto muttered in disbelief.
"Yes Aruto sir?" Izu replied calmly.
"What did you do just now?" he asked while still in utter daze.
"I gave a kiss on your cheek sir." she nonchalantly replied.
(awkward cricket silence sound effect)
"EEEEHHHHHH!?" Aruto screamed out as he tries to stand right up "Wh-wh-wh-why!? For real Izu!?" He exclaims in panic but he placed his foot on the wrong place, causing him to lose his balance "Woah-woah-woah!" he screech as he slips and falls of the roof and hit the surface of the upper floor.
"OUCH!" He yelps, hitting his face on the floor.
"President Aruto, are you alright?" Izu said in worry as she climbs down the ladder to check on him.
"Yeah I'm alright! Just a bit of a bum on the head. Not too big of a deal" Aruto reassures her as he sat back up, rubbing his face before he turned back to her and place both of his hands on her shoulders "But more importantly, where did you learn about kissing!? Did someone taught you that Izu?"
"Affirmative, my older brother told me to give you any necessarily kind of encouragement to lift up your confidence before his data was used to create the Shining Hopper Key." Izu said "I looked up and found out that a kiss on the cheek is the best option for your circumstance Sir." she explained.
"Damn it Wazu! You should have clarified her! There's a lot of weird stuff in the internet nowadays!" Aruto gritted his teeth as he grips tightly at the Shining Hopper ProgriseKey in his pocket.
"President Aruto, I know all of this could be too much for you to handle and that you think you're incapable of doing it." Izu started to say before making eye contact with him "But I know you could do this sir! You're the most qualify person I have met besides your own grandfather Konesuke himself!" she spoke positively.
Aruto immediately cease his action, staring at his secretary "Izu..." he muttered in awe of her positive vibe.
"Besides, you don't have to do all of this on your own. I am here with you and as your aide and secretary, supporting you is my most important role." Izu said softly "It brings me great joy to be able to help you sir." she said with a sweet smile.
The young president listens to every word she said as he couldn't helped but to be spellbound by her voice, her smile and her...beauty.
"Even if we have lost the battle. I will always be by your side to lift your spirit back up, to see your dreams come true and to smile earnestly with you all the way." Izu said with both of her hands placed on her chest.
"You really... mean it?" he said with his eyes sparked in joy, his heartbeat was audible to his ears.
Izu firmly nodded "So please, don't bear all of the burden on your own. Rest and have a goodnight sleep sir." she said tenderly before heading to the door and headed down the stairs, leaving the young president alone on the upper floor.
Aruto sighs, looking back up the night sky and began to drown in his thoughts again "Gramps...what am I gonna do now!? Izu really got me good, I don't know if I could sleep like this at all!" He said while looking up in the sky, in his instincts he slowly placed his right hand on his chest, he could feel the rhythm of his heart, fuel with passion. Not the kind that focuses one's ambitions and dreams, no...this was a whole different kind of passion. This passion makes his heart beat faster than he had ever felt before. "What is happening to me?" he whispered to himself.
Author's note: Well here we go, this is where the magic begins as Aruto starts to see that Izu's singularity is more developed than he have realeyezed! I know it's a bad joke, but it's obviously a joke from Aruto of course.
Lately I heard a lot of reviews and discussions saying that Zero-One has gone down hill a lot, well I have to disagree with most of them except for Gai's so called 'Redemption'.Why I disagree with them? Because the show splits into separate arcs and each arc are different from each other, sure they're in the same show, but comparing them to each other doesn't seem fair in my opinion, in fact there are some people who liked the later arcs more than the first arc.
Heck I even like Zi-O despite it's flaws and the negative reviews around it and even though I like Hibiki less than Zi-O, I respect it as the series it is and I have no qualms with people who do like Hibiki more than I do.
As for Gai's so called 'redemption' I have to agree with the people who don't like it at all, but I'm willing to see how it plays out because I'm an open minded person. Besides, I don't think Gai would be like Kuroto Dan 2.0, I see him more like Nariaki Utsumi in the next episodes. I don't know if Covid was all to blame or if the writer's are starting to lackluster with the story or if it's a combination of both, but let's not say that Zero-One is a complete disappointment yet.
