warnings: This book deals with topics such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, dissociation, mentions of abuse, mentions of suicidal thoughts and destructive behavior, sexual assault, implied/referenced non-con elements, unhealthy relationships, canon-typical violence and discussions of sexuality, LGBT+ relationships (Bisexuality, Homosexuality, GirlxGirl, BoyxBoy, etc...), gender identity, and they are a big part of this book so if any of these things trigger or bother you, please be careful reading this book!
author's note: this is a reupload of my books Eye Of The Hurricane & Nothing Gold Can Stay, nothing has changed except for the fact that I'm keeping it all in 1 book instead of 4 separate books. I'm doing this because I mapped out the third book the other day and it's only going to be 13, maybe 15 chapters and there's really no point in making that a separate book so I decided to put them all together. And yes I know that there can't be copies of works so Nothing Gold Can Stay will be deleted, I promise, I'll just post a little note at the end of Nothing Gold Can Stay so those readers can find this one and I will delete the other one by tomorrow night.
UPDATES EVERY SATURDAY AT THE VERY LEAST
ALSO please keep in mind that this book is extremely not canon compliant, including possible good!Bellatrix Lestrange ( or rather morally grey Bellatrix ), Voldemort having a wife ( no, Voldemort cannot feel love, their relationship will be explained later on in the book ) tons of Dumbledore bashing, he's extremely manipulative but NOT evil, he just does morally questionable things to achieve good outcomes. And at times it might seem like there is Molly Weasley bashing but I promise it is NOT it's just Molly have flaws and not getting along with certain characters, same goes with Harry, I love him and he's a great character and person but this is told through someone else's eyes and they have a few bones to pick with Harry but that doesn't mean Harry is going to be Bad (insert TM symbol), they've got a friends to enemies/frenimies to friends thing going on. Also main character is implied to be very magically powerful a lot but is NOT capable of being magically powerful, they failed the expectations of being powerful set up for them, literally Harry could wipe the floor with them at any given moment. I don't see why it's so bad to have a magically powerful character if they've been given the proper training but apparently quite a few people have problems with that so just a minor warning. And the main OC is going to date around a bit mostly simple short relationship with other OCs and a canon character before ending up with their endgame love interest, so this is a SLOWBURN with lots of mutual pining. Apparently people also have a problem with feminine characters dating around too. That's all I can really think of at the moment so if you like that stuff and want to continue you reading, I hope you enjoy it!
AND finally one last note: please do NOT leave rude comments or comment about how you hate how I'm writing certain things, if you don't like it don't read it or at the very least keep your mouth shut. I do take constructive criticism and don't mind when people comment on spelling errors because I don't have anyone to edit my work, I'm doing that by myself and even after check stuff over three times I can still miss some errors so if you want to point them out that's fine just be nice about it and make sure your DMs aren't closed so I can respond to you and ask questions about the criticism you've left me in case I don't understand the review.

THE PROLOGUE OF MAKE THEM GOLD:
000 || Before The Sun Sets . . .
x
November, 21st, 1981 . . . thirteen years prior
ASTEROPE AURELIA IS the light of Bellatrix Lestrange's dark and dismal life, appropriately named the sun-faced star and the golden one, in her short year of life she had been nothing but a golden ray of sunshine to Bellatrix. But, she was a fragile thing, born sickly and aided by an ancient magic that would probably never sit right in her tiny body, and nothing good ever sat right with Bellatrix. Nearly everything good that happened to Bellatrix either died at one point or left and considering that Asterope could barely walk, leaving wasn't much of an option for the infant which meant that at any given moment Asterope could be brutally murdered and Bellatrix could not stand for that.
Since the fall of the Dark Lord, most of the threats for Asterope's safety had been small objects and Fenrir Greyback. Her husband had spent most of his waking moments trying to find their fallen master with his younger brother and Goyle, which meant he didn't have much time to be a threat to Bellatrix's only happiness. But, there was still the Dark Lord's estranged wife who knew too much, of course, that was to be expected from a very powerful Seer.
Although Esrom Riddle had helped Bellatrix a great deal in the past year, she would be a fool to think that Esrom wasn't a threat. Everything that elderly woman had done for Bellatrix had been for her own gain. It had all been part of her plan, a plan that was devised thirty-five years ago when the Dark Lord had murdered their newborn son in cold blood. Now Bellatrix found herself and her daughter, her sunshine, her moon and her stars, tangled in that plan. Bellatrix couldn't stand for that.
All Bellatrix wanted was for her Asterope to have a normal life, all Bellatrix wanted was to have a normal but since she couldn't have that the least she could do was give Asterope everything she couldn't have. And for that to happen, Esrom Riddle needed to be out of the picture. Bellatrix may not have served her full purpose in Esrom's eyes but in Bellatrix's eyes Esrom had served her full purpose, there was nothing the Seer had to offer now that Bellatrix knew everything the future had in store for her daughter. Esrom wasn't going to stand in the way of Asterope being safe and happy.
And so, Bellatrix slips a dagger and an extra wand into a sheath hidden under her burgundy cloak and sets off for Trelawney manor.

NATURALLY, ESROM RIDDLE predicted Bellatrix's arrival earlier this morning. And with Bellatrix Lestrange's arrival, Esrom's demise would soon follow, but Esrom wasn't afraid to die. After decades of predicting so many deaths of loved ones and strangers alike, Esrom has found herself apathetic to the concept of death. She had known months prior to this date that Bellatrix was going to kill her and as that date quickly approached, Esrom realised it didn't really matter whether she was dead or alive, she would still get what she wanted. And, after all, she did have her back-up plan.
Asterope's fate entangled with the Boy-Who-Lived was nearly set in stone, it wasn't quite what Esrom wanted but it would have to do. There was still one last thing she needed to do to make sure things went according to plan, one last prophecy she must give to ensure that Asterope grows up the way Esrom needs her to be. One last little lie to avenge her precious Tybalt.
"Good evening Bellatrix," Esrom says softly as she hears the front door creak open.
Bellatrix regards her stiffly, staring at her with icy blue eyes, Esrom grins at her.
"I've been expecting you."
"'Course you have," Bellatrix says gruffly, in no mood to play. She wanted to murder Esrom and be on with it, already missing her dearest Asterope.
"Sometimes I think you have a sixth sense too," Esrom says nonchalantly, "Every single time I have a vision regarding your daughter it seems that you flock to my house not long after. Tell me, Bella, were your motherly senses tingling?"
Bellatrix appears not to appreciate the banter but she raises a dark eyebrow "What about Asterope?"
Her need to kill is pushed a side for only a moment, Esrom grins at this.
"Her death."
Bellatrix narrows her eyes, she takes that as a threat and Esrom's grin widens.
"It's the oddest thing," Esrom continues, "It appears to me that if Asterope is raised as your daughter she'll be dead before her fifteenth birthday. She'll only be safe to know the truth after that time, once the sun sets on her fifteenth birthday she'll be free to know everything."
Bellatrix scowls.
Esrom is almost beside herself with laughter but she manages to keep a straight face, she had almost lost it at Muggle movie reference she made, however Bellatrix had never been a fan of Muggle things. Esrom herself was always a fan of theatrics.
"Why," Bellatrix questions through gritted teeth, "How can I keep her safe if I can't raise her?"
"You have sisters, do you not," Esrom retorts, she prefers the younger one with the son, the Malfoys would bring up the perfect pawn for Esrom. The Tonks would make her too hard, too good.
"She is my daughter," Bellatrix snaps.
Esrom tuts, ever the possessive bitch, she thinks.
"Who will die if she knows the truth before her fifteenth birthday."
That, of course, isn't true at all, but Esrom needs to pretend that is in order to ensure that she has the perfect plan to end her husband once and for all. She must avenge her sons.
Bellatrix, so desperate to protect the only good thing to happen to her, believes Esrom without putting up much of a fight. Still, she's paranoid, Esrom can see her not so subtly reach for the dagger that is hidden under her cloack.
Her time is almost up, Esrom needs to make it count.
"What do you suggest I do," Bellatrix asks, looking more vulnerable than Esrom had seen her look in a long time. Vulnerability is so easy to work with, Esrom places a sympathetic smile on her face and gets ready to make her last words count.
"Well, I suggest . . ."
