Outskirts of New Alexandria

"Spartans we need to move! We have to get to the extraction point now!" A slightly large spartan with deep blue armor with a blue visor and carrying a M247H heavy machine gun shouted as he mows down a couple of grunts with it.

"Hey Jacob, I know it's bad timing to ask but what is the extraction point?" A female Spartan with green and white armor asked as she headshot an elite minor with her M392 DMR.

"The extraction point that Spartan 156 speaks of came from Auntie Dot. I know surprising, From the coordinates that Auntie Dot has given. About 3 miles from New Alexandria is a underground UNSC dock yard that contains a retrofitted Phoenix-Class colony ship with a functional Slipspace Drive." A female voice spoke inside Jacobs helmet.

"So there's a way off planet." Another female spartan with red armor with purple highlights said as she threw a plasma grenade on a brute causing an explosion of heated plasma in the area. "Then we better go now. Sooner as we get to the ship, the sooner we can go home." She continued.

"Then it's settled, fire team Helios let's get to that ship." Jacob commands the three charged towards their objective to leave Reach. Facing any Covenant forces in their way facing elites, brutes, grunts, jackals, and even hunters. They soon encounter two M831 Troop Warthogs by a destroyed UNSC checkpoint.

"Spartans we got hogs." Olivia-188 spoke with a hint of excitement as she checked the first one. "Well a bit of plasma scoring and the second seems fine. No damages in the engines. So we're good to go." Olivia analyzes the two troop hogs.

"Girls, hang on." Jacob-156 halts the two female Spartan-IIIs "Prinny can you check any UNSC comms in the region." He asked inside his helmet.

"One moment spartan… yes, there are about 28 transmissions most are UNSC marines, ODSTs, and a few militia and police transmissions in the region." PR-22341 or Prinny answered.

"Alright send the coordinates to the dock yard. We're getting everyone off Reach as we can." Jacob declares as he motions the Spartans to get on. Revving up the engines both hogs drove over the damaged road. About a few minutes later radio chatter arose about the coordinates that 156 gave out.

While on the way they meet up a squad of ODSTs just at the edge of New Alexandria. [Note this is not Alpha Nine they have to take part in Halo 3 ODST]

"HEY WAIT STOP!" A ODST trooper shouted he has red and black armor with a shark style helmet. He and four of his squad waved their arms to grab the Spartans attention. The two hogs slow down by the Helljumpers.

"Hold up Spartans, can we ride with you." The shark head ODST trooper asked. Jacob nodded as the ODST squad hopped on to the first one then they continued down the road.

"So you're the one that sent out the coordinates Spartan or should I say cousin." The ODST said as Jacob smirked under his helmet and replied. "Well Prinny did the work Mateo, and before you say anything, we'll have our reunion until we head back to earth."

"Well, tell her I say thanks."

Time went by as the Spartans and ODSTs soon encountered more UNSC marines, ODSTs, militia, even armored and aerial divisions on the way.

Some time later

UNSC dockyard

Thunderstorms kept raging due to the Covenant glassing Reach with plasma beams. Two troop Warthogs jump up from a blasted crater as more vehicles such as M274R Mongooses, M12 Warthogs, M12G1 Gausshogs, M831 Troop Warthogs, and M12R Rockethogs. Then followed by a couple of M808C Scorpion tanks, M850 Grizzlies, M400 Kodiaks, M9 Wolverines, SP42 Cobras, XRP12 Gremlins, M650 Mastodons, even a Elephant. In the air that follow the convoy are Hornets, Pelicans, SparrowHawks, EV-44 Nightingales, Vultures, and Falcons.

[Note that this seems a lot and bit O.P. But then again, Reach is a Fortress World. So who says they can't have one of everything. Also there will be Mantises which were produced in 2548 but not in a large scale.]

"My my quite the army we scrounge up Spartan, we might take back Reach with this force." Prinny replied in Jacob's helmet.

"I know… but Auntie Dot gave the coordinates to us for a reason. We have to leave." 156 spoke.

"I understa-" Prinny cutout suddenly "Hold on I receive a transmission from the ship and Auntie Dot." Prinny spoke to him.

"Play it"

"Transmitting…"

"To any UNSC personal in the region. This Captain Jackson Heart of the Phoenix-Class "First Light" we don't have enough time to wait anymore. Covenant forces are pounding on my doorstep and the defenses at the yard doing everything they can hold them off please respond."

"B156 of Fireteam Helios to "First Light'' we're enroute for immediate assistance and have a large convoy of UNSC personnel in the vicinity acknowledged." Jacob responded.

"Spartans… it's about time you got here. I thought most of the Spartans were either dead or gone." Jackson replied with a bit of hope in his voice then continued "Anyway a few of the defenders are scattered in the area when the Covenant attacked. They need help."

"Copy that Captain." Jacob finished. "Listen up we got Covenant that are blocking the only way off-world. We'll use what we have available but we have to use light and medium vehicles. That means Warthogs, Wolverines, Cobras, and a few Hornets and Hawks. The rest will head inside the ship." Jacob commanded as there were several agreements and acknowledgments.

The two warthogs that Fireteam Helios and ODSTs are in are accelerated and ram into a group of grunts and elites. As a few Hornets and Falcons began strafing runs on the Covenant infantry. The Cobras drove into positions and began locking down to use their railguns and Wolverines firing their anti-air missiles at Banshees and Phantoms. The Hawks began striking a few Wraiths that were attacking UNSC marines stationed at the dock yards. The automatic turret stations continued their barrage to any Covenant forces that entered its vicinity.

Fireteam Helios and Mateo's ODST squad disembark the hogs and group up with the marines that are defending the area.

"Spartans it's about damn time you got here!" A marine sergeant shouted.

"We got here just in time. Where's the ship?" 156 asked as he continued a barrage with the M247H.

"It's underground, the crew and the A.I. Dot is trying to get the shutters to open up." The Sergeant replied using a MA37 on a rushing suicide grunt.

"This is it everyone, make your stand!" The Sergeant shouted as more Covenant approached. Firefights erupted in the area as the large metal shutters opened slowly revealing a retrofitted Phoenix-class colony ship with a large bay to store vehicles, with prefabricated fire bases at each side of the ship. The bays opened by the front of the ship as three Mantises walked out and fired off missiles and bullets at three Hunters that had recently dropped off by a Phantom.

"To any UNSC or anyone in the vicinity, the time is now. We are leaving!" Captain Jackson shouted in the transmission.

"You heard the Captain we need to-" Jacob was cut off when a marine shouted.

"BRUTE CHIEFTAIN!"

A brute chieftain with a gravity hammer slam down with the hammer creating a shockwave knocking away the marines and ODSTs except for the three Spartans.

"Scatter!" Olivia shouted as the brute charged first at a marine that was getting up from the shockwave. But Spartan 156 discarded his M247H and shoulder charge the chieftain given the marine time to get away. The brute then back hand the Spartan, knocking him down on his back on a concrete barricade.

"Shit Jacob!" Olivia shouted as she saw the Chieftain turn the gravity hammer to its bladed side. But before the final blow was laid an armored clad figure in black jammed a combat knife into the brutes neck as it struggled swinging the hammer wildly nearly hitting 156's head by a few inches. With enough reaction, Jacob got up and brought out his M6G magnum and fired 3 rounds into the Chieftain's head. The brute groans loudly and then falls to the ground dead.

"Even now, you are still a rookie of the Spartan-lll's." The armor figure spoke as 156 get his bearings.

"Noble Six, heard you delivered the package to the "Pillar of Autumn". Thanks." Jacob replied.

"Your welcome. And it's not just me."

"They will be remembered, let's go." The leader of fireteam Helios spoke as they rushed inside the ship with the last UNSC personnel.

The engines of the First Light roar to life as the side booster emplacements levitate the ship as it angles upwards. Then the rear engines of the ship roared as it flew towards the atmosphere as it ejected the boosters from the ship.

"This is the UNSC "First Light" we're away. I pray for anyone who got away off Reach safely. Goodbye and continue fighting hard." Jackson transmitted before going silent.
