Hi readers! I've decided to do a story based on Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Why? I LOVE that game. I've done so many playthroughs already, that I've lost count. But one thing I know for sure, is that I can write a few stories on it. So, here's one that I thought of. I hope you all enjoy!

Chapter 1: Birds of a Feather

It was around noon when Damon entered the dining hall. He ordered some peach sorbet and began to look for a place to sit. He spotted Lysithea, the youngest member of the Golden Deer house. Walking over to the table she was at, he noticed she was reading a complex book of magic formulas. "Hey, is this seat taken?" He asked her. Lysithea only shook her head, engrossed in the book she was studying. "Thanks," Damon said as he pulled out the chair. After sitting down, he that she had applied the wrong equation to a formula.

"Hey, wouldn't you use the reciprocal of the formula here after switching out the variables?" He suggested. This broke Lysithea's silence. "Wait… you're right!" She exclaimed, turning to look at the boy next to her. "Oh! Damon! When did you enter the dining hall?" She asked him. Damon scratched his chin, "I entered just a few moments ago." Lysithea looked back at the formula and then back at Damon. "I know you're an adept magic user, but how exactly were you able to solve that formula just by glancing at it?" She asked. Damon took a moment to think before starting his explanation. "The formula required a basis of faith with a good understanding of reason," he stated. Lysithea was silently staring at the formula for a moment. "That makes sense. You know, you would make a pretty good professor." She giggled. Damon was shocked at what he heard. "Was that a joke?" He asked with a grin on his face. Lysithea rolled her eyes and took another bite of her sorbet. "What else was it supposed to be?" She asked. "Good point," Damon said. "Also, I noticed we're eating the same dish. You like sweets?" He asked. Lysithea almost snapped at him reflexively but restrained herself. This wasn't Claude, after all. "Yeah, I do." She answered. "Is there something wrong with that?" Damon felt her glare piercing through him. "No, no! It's just that I like sweets, too!" He said, throwing his hands up in defense. "Oh… well that's nice." She replied. "Y'know, we could hang out more often." He suggested, leaning back in his chair. "I've told so many different boys already…" She began to sigh. "Woah, I meant as friends." Lysithea's eyes widened. "Friends, really?" Damon put on his usual dumb smile. "Of course! We can study magic, eat sweets, or whatever!" Lysithea smiled at him. "I guess it would be beneficial to have a friend like you."

"You mean friends with benefits?" Said the Golden Deer house's leader. Claude was sitting across from the two mages at the table. At some point while they were talking, the archer snuck into the dining hall. "No, Claude." Lysithea said, sternly. Her attitude changed completely when Claude showed up. "So, Damon, how are you liking the Golden Deer?" Claude asked. Damon looked at the archer and grinned, "I really feel like I belong here, thanks for inviting me!" Claude smiled. The two went on with their conversation while Lysithea finished her desert. "I love this house and everyone in it!" Damon had the biggest smile on his face. Lysithea looked at him and couldn't help but smile herself. "That's great!" Claude said. He then smirked and added, "Just don't stay up past your bedtime!" With that, he ran off before Lysithea could threaten him. "I hate it when he does that…" she sighed. A few moments later, the clock chimed. "Come on, Damon. We're being assigned group tasks by the Professor today." Lysithea said, getting up from the table. "Yeah, ok!" Damon said, following behind the white-haired mage to class.
