Chapter 8

It had been two days since the incident and Hinata had still not woken up.

Ino had tried entering her mind again be she had been blocked from accessing anything, but she had been able to see the seal again and fully analyze it so now she was trying to figure out how to break it. Sakura, on the other hand, was at a loss there should be no medical reason as to why Hinata was not waking up her chakra had replenished, and she was physically alright but for the past two days, she had been out like a light.

Naruto had barely left Hinata side the last couple of days he had gone home after Ino had left the first night to check on his children and to inform Hiashi about how the situation had escalated and he had offered to allow them to stay in the compound again, but Naruto had refused to want to keep his wife and children as close to him as possible.

During the day Boruto and Himawari would go to the academy and Naruto and Kawaki would spend their time in the Hospital neither wanting to leave Hinata alone for long. After the academy let out, they would go pick Bolt and Hima get something to eat and then they all would stay at the hospital he would send out shadow clones to get the food, then when it got late enough, they would go home, and Naruto would put his kids to sleep. After they fell asleep, he would go back to the hospital leaving Anbu and two Hyuuga guards that Hiashi had insisted on them having.

After a week of following the same routine Naruto was becoming restless, there had been no leads on Yashi, Ino was having a hard time disabling the fail-safes on the seal, Sakura had run every test possible and still could not figure out what was keeping her comatose, and to make matters worse Shikamaru has been telling him that he needs to come back soon there were matters that required the Hokage and not his advisor.

To say Naruto was agitated was an understatement he was on edge there was so much that he should be doing, so much information that he was lacking, and he was going crazy, he was stirring, and everyone was worried for him. He was barely eating, barely sleeping, he spent most of his day sitting by Hinata's bed.

"Naruto why don't we go get something to eat how about Ichiraku's," Sakura said to Naruto worried about her friend "It's alright I'm not hungry right now," Naruto said with a small smile before turning to face Hinata again "Are you sure I'm craving ramen and I'm buying," Sakura said in a desperate attempt to get him out of the room knowing that offering to pay for ramen would leave a hole in her wallet. "It's really okay Sakura. I am getting something with the kids later plus I have a meeting with the Counsel and then Hiashi so I just want to be here until then" Naruto said this time not even looking at her "Alright but please eat something and sleep I don't need you in the hospital as well" Sakura said before walking out of the room.

Waiting on the other side was Shikamaru "How is he" he asked her "I don't know he seems alright but I can tell that he's worried for her we all are. I don't even want to think about what would happen to him if he lost her" Sakura said to him giving a quick look back to the door.

"I can't even imagine what he is going through but I need him back on his A-game the meeting with the Kage's is coming up and we have nothing prepared. I can only do so much there are things that only the Hokage can do. The counsel is on my ass because they are in the dark about the whole situation plus, I have been working a lot later and Temari doesn't know, and she might actually kill me if I get home late tonight again. This is all too troublesome for me." Shikamaru had said and Sakura just let out a sigh in exasperation.

"I think it's time to announce Hinata's condition and the whole situation we can gain outside help as to find out who this guy named Yashi is and maybe on what's wrong with Hinata. I think that I really might need Tsunade" Sakura said and Shikamaru gave her a curt nod "Yeah, I'll try to convince him" he said letting out a sigh before walking past Sakura and entering the hospital room.

"Hey Naruto, you ready to go," Shikamaru said walking up to him "Umm yeah I guess," Naruto said getting up his gaze still lingering on Hinata before turning away and following Shikamaru out the door. " How long do you think the meeting will last I have to pick up Bolt and Hima then go to the Hyuuga compound," Naruto said his voice void of all emotion "Probably about half an hour… Naruto I feel like it's time to inform the counsel they deserve to know why their Hokage has been out of duty for so long" Shikamaru had said a little worried about bringing up the topic "alright" was all he said and they continued to walk to the Hokage's office in silence.

The meeting lasted a little longer than half an hour with the topic of Hinata being what elongated the meeting. Many of the members had offered the help of their clans into finding the man who had put his wife in a coma and stolen her memories. Naruto had gracefully thanked them and excused himself telling them he had to pick up his children and had another meeting to attend.

Naruto had made it to the Academy a little late he usually had been sending Kawaki to pick up his siblings, but he was on a mission and wouldn't be back till tomorrow. "Tou-chan" He heard his children call out to him and he smiled back at them his sadness fading a bit at seeing them "Heya Bolt, Hima how was your day," Naruto said going to pick up his daughter and rubbing his son's head "It was good papa we did taijutsu and ninjutsu training today. I am at the top of my class" Himawari said excitedly "I'm so proud of you Hima and how about you Bolt how was your day" Naruto said hugging his daughter to which she giggled and then look at his son.

"It was boring we were just learning about the Ninja wars" Boruto said nonchalantly "Well you know they are an important part of history you know that I and Kaa-chan fought in the fourth great ninja war, My father in the third, and Baa-Chan fought in the second. They are a really important part of history and without them, we wouldn't have the peace we have now" Naruto said trying to make his son understand "yeah, but all everyone talks about is how awesome you are and how you are the hero of the war and how the war couldn't have been won without you" Boruto said the sarcasm in his voice evident "Well I did play a big role at the end of the war but I couldn't have won the war by myself it took the help of all the ninja villages, many shinobis, and my friends. If it wasn't for your mother and uncle Neji I would have died before we could end the war." Naruto said the memories of the war came back to him.

"But why don't they say that in the book or lessons Shino sensei said that it took everyone to win the war but you and Sarada's dad played a big part in the end" Boruto said and Naruto nodded at this "Yes, but everyone played an important role in the war so many people died and their sacrifice was the reason I was able to keep fighting. People call me a hero because I was important in the end but if it wasn't for the people at the beginning the war would have had a very different outcome. I don't think of myself as a hero if I was no one would have died." Naruto said to his son who just gave him a nod in understanding.

"Are we not going to see mama" Himawari asked noticing that they were walking in the opposite direction of the hospital "We will I just have to go visit Oji-san and have dinner with him" Naruto said to his daughter who looked happy at the mention of visiting her grandfather "really we are going to see Jiji" Himawari said with a huge smile on her face and Naruto just gave her a smile and nodded. The walk to the compound was mostly just Himawari talking about anything and everything and Naruto and Boruto chiming in every once in a while. Upon their arrival, Naruto went to Hiashi's office and Bolt and Hima went to go find their aunt. Naruto knocks on the door and when he hears a come in from the other side, he walks into the room closing the door behind him.

"Hello Naruto," Hiashi says looking up from his paperwork "Otou-sama, how have you been," Naruto said taking a seat "I have been well, but I feel that I should be the one asking you that question," Hiashi said pushing his work to the side so he could pay attention to Naruto. "I will be better when my wife wakes up," Naruto said in a matter of fact way Hiashi nods his head "Yes I know that feeling I felt when my wife was sick but I know my daughter no matter how much I doubted her in her youth she has a resilience she won't give up so easily," Hiashi said and Naruto saddened and just gave him a small nod in agreement "Otou-sama I don't mean to be rude but why am I here," Naruto said bluntly,

"I asked you here because I am worried for you as well as my daughter. I have been told that you have not left her side and I thank you for that, but even as we speak, I can see it has been taking a toll on your health." At hearing this Naruto lets out a sigh "I understand your concern but I'm fine and I would be even better if I can find the person who did this to my wife" Naruto his anger showing "I understand how you feel and because of my understanding of the situation I once again extend my home you and my grandchildren. At this moment you need all the support you can get, and you will always have the Hyuga clan's help" Hiashi said with a small smile to show that he was genuine about what he said

"My life is not my own… That is what Neji said to me at first, I didn't understand but when I understood my love for Hinata I got it and when my children were born, I understood it even more but now there is a chance that I could lose one of the most important persons in my life I don't know what I would do without her. She is just so great you know; she loves me despite all my flaws, she never yells at me when I do something stupid or when I don't spend enough time at home, she just tells me she understands that my job is demanding and comforts me when I have had a hard day or when Boruto says he hates me. She's perfect I couldn't do anything without her I'm not the greatest father or husband, but she just tells me it's alright and she knows I'm trying. She motivates me to be a better father, husband, and Hokage. She can't lose her memory; she has to wake up and she's not. I don't know what to do anymore what am I supposed to do, what am I supposed to tell our children…" Naruto said in a rant the tears coming from his wife and he finally stopped when he couldn't talk anymore and just continued to cry his head in his hands trying to hide his tears.

Hiashi was worried about him in his time of knowing Naruto he had never seen him break down like this "how about you and the kids stay here tonight you are not in the mindset to be walking around the village or to be alone" Hiashi said and Naruto just nodded then Hiashi helped him up and they walked to one of the many guest rooms at the compound when Naruto was left in the room alone he just curled up in the bed and let all the tears and emotions he had been holding in pour out.

When he woke up the next morning he was Naruto had felt a little better than he had in days "You finally released those pent up emotions of yours" Kurama had said to Naruto he had been quiet for most of this whole ordeal "yeah I needed to" Naruto said to him "Good those negative emotions of yours were getting to me" "I'm sorry I just feel so helpless she in a coma and the man who did this to her has shown his face since he left her as that" Naruto said with a sigh " I understand that you are worried about your mate. I am too but you have your kits to worry about as well they need you it's your mate but it's their mother" Kurama said, and Naruto just let out another sigh in exasperation "I know I'm going to do better… for all of them" Naruto said and Kurama just gave him a grunt in acknowledge meant before retreating back into Naruto mind.

After a couple of minutes, Naruto left the sanctuary that was the room and made his way to where he knew his family would be. When he entered the room where his family was eating breakfast, he also saw that Kawaki had come back from his mission "Papa" came Himawari happy cry as she made her way to her father. "Hey Hima, how is my little sunflower," Naruto asked while picking her up "I'm good papa are you feeling better," Himawari asked perceptive as always "Yeah I am feeling better and I thought that it would be a good idea if we all went out today spending so much time in the hospital is not good for any of us," Naruto said looking at Himawari then his sons.

"What are we going to do anyway old man," Boruto said actually a little interested "whatever you guys want," Naruto says back with a smile and Boruto just lights up, "Train we are going to train," He says excitedly "But I don't want to train," Himawari says looking at her father "then what do you want to do Hima," Naruto asks "How about we go shopping through the market we can get something for mama for when she wakes up," she says excitedly "That's a great idea. So how about we spend the first half of the day shopping and then the rest of the day training together" Naruto says compromising with his children he knew that Kawaki would be fine would anything as long as his younger siblings were happy. Himawari and Boruto both just nod excitedly at the prospect of getting what they want. So, after breakfast, the Uzumaki family takes a much-needed day from the chaos.

Hinata had been in her comatose state for a little over a week with little to no progress as to how to wake her up. But while her body was immobile her mind was well aware of everything that was happening. She was trapped in her mind hearing, seeing, and feeling anything that her body was. In this time, she had taken it upon herself to explore her mindscape and in this time she had found a few of the memories that had been locked away allowing her to have access to them again but she knew that this was useless if she could not wake up and at the same time she was not a hundred percent sure that when she did wake up she would be able to retain said memories. Most of her time was spent in solitude, just exploring different parts of her mind but there were times in which Yashi paid her a visit "Just a checkup" was what he always said before examining her mind and leaving.

But after a week Hinata had grown tired of this she wanted to wake to comfort her husband and children who she knew were worried about her, but she couldn't because he wouldn't let her, and she was not even sure as for the reason why. He said that he wanted Hamura's chakra, but she really didn't know what her memories had to do with any of that if anything it was her body that he needed not her mind. So, during his next "checkup" Hinata had decided to confront Yashi and demand information from him.

Hinata was sitting in one of the corridors of her memories when Yashi appeared she looked up at him and scald at him he just gave her his unnerving smile and said the same words as always "Just a checkup" then started walking away but Hinata stopped him before he could "And just what are you checking" She asked still sneering at him.

"Huh I was wondering how long it was going to take you to ask" he said still not answering her question "Why did you block my memories" She asked this time staring directly at him "I told you why I didn't want you relaying of my plans before the time came" he said trying to feign innocence when he was anything but. "That's bullshit and you know it if that is what you really wanted you could have just blocked the memory of our meeting and conversation not twenty years of my life," She says the thought has been going through her head for a while "Ah you got me," He says throwing his arms up.

"There is a little more to my plan and might I add it is progressing beautifully there have been very little obstacles I planned for everything I thought of every possibility as to how my plan could go astray and counters for it. You see this had been something in the making for a long time and I just know have been able to start the implications for it. A wise man once said, 'the two most powerful warriors are patience and time'. I have been very patient and the time for my plan to be put into action is now. I ask you for the same thing patience because the time will come when my plan will be unveiled to all, and you Hinata-sama plans a very important role." Yashi said.

Hinata just listened a little shocked at what he had just revealed even though it wasn't much she understood that if they didn't find out soon then when he reveals it, it would already be too late.

So this is the first of the two chapter that I am going to post i already have chapter 9 so i was thinking about putting it up in a day or two. Please leave comments on what you guys think about my story so far I didn't get any reviews for chapter 7 so I was a little disappointed.
