Hello and welcome to one of my new fanfics! Keep in mind that I'm new to the whole fanfiction business and that my grammar and writing is shitty at times but, I will try my best to Improve. One night I was thinking While playing sekiro, what would happen if Ishhin took in Shinji as His own? Well this came to be!

I hope you enjoy the prologue! Rather obvious Disclaimer. I don't own Evangelion nor Sekiro. They are owned by their respective owners. Miyazaki, we are still waiting for the Sekiro DLC!

In the many towers of Ashina Castle, A man in a white kimono Stood before a shrine. His hair was mostly white because of his old age and he had a small scar that ran from his eye down to his cheek. He was none other than Ishhin Ashina. A man that had fought for his country for years. A man that had tried to fulfill his bloodlust of fighting. A man that was proud of his country. Within his hands he held a peculiar stone. The Sage Stone. Many years ago in a forgotten age.

A meteorite hit in what would be known as the fountainhead palace. Many people thought that the meteorite was a gift from the gods. The water around the affected area Healed any wounds. From grave illnesses to severed limbs. It even had the power to resurrect the dead.. Something that Ishhin greatly despised. Along with these other gifts came the scarce source known to be Adamantite and Mercury. Something that was used to make the Mortal Blades.

Ishhin Doesn't know if such a weapon would exist. A blade that would sever immortality. A blade that could end the dragon's curse. The final gift that the meteor bestowed upon the people of Ashina was in Ishhin's hands. The Sage Stone. An item that could transport the user into the future.. Or back in time. He was intrigued that such a thing could exist.. But here he is, holding it in hands.

The stone in his hands could be the key to a better future. A way to beat the coming invaders. A way to restore his country back to its glory… and a way to bring back his wife Komoko. Even though he despised the concept of resurrecting the dead, the loneliness inside of him ate him everyday.. And so, here he was.

He grabbed the stone and placed it into a basin filled with the healing sediment along with a few Sakura flowers. He grabbed a scroll that showed the ritual. After some reading he grabbed some chalk and etched some Kanji onto the wooden floor. "May this hopefully work.."

He Spoke the words that the Scroll had. Nothing happened. It took him a year of hardships to find this Magical Stone and nothing happened. In his frustration he grabbed the stone and threw it. Suddenly all the candles in the room were snuffed out. Due to instinct Ishhin quickly grabbed the scabbard of his sword and drew it. The Kanji on the floor then glowed a deep blue and so did the stone. Within a few seconds one of the tower walls started shaking. The wood bent and warped itself to form the mouth of an Oni. The thing's mouth opened revealing to what seemed to be a portal of sorts. The portal's blue haze was rather enticing.

Ishhin smiled. "I am coming.. Komoko" He then donned his armor and entered the portal. After he entered the Mouth closed itself and the wall then warped back into Normality.

Ishhin found himself in a vast open field filled to the brim with flowers and crops. Never in his life had he seen something so beautiful, it was completely Alien to him. He was always used to seeing battlefields filled with ruined homes along with large mountains of corpse's. He shed a tear of happiness and collapsed to the ground crying. "It's so beautiful... Komoko.. I'm coming" He then used all of his courage to stand up and walk towards who knows where. "I need directions.." After passing hills and forests he noticed that it was ridiculously hot. As if this land were stuck into a perpetual summer. Worry soon started to dwell beneath him. "Am I in the past?.. Or in the future?" Seeing that he was still surrounded by Trees he climbed up a hill and saw something that he would never forget. Before him lay a large city filled to the brim with skyscrapers and buildings thriving with people.

He sat there in awe. Never had he seen a city so big and filled with people. He pondered, was He really in the future.. Or in the past.

Ishhin had stayed in Tokyo 3 for a year and had learnt a great deal of present Japan. A catastrophic event that occurred 3 years ago called the 2nd Impact had devastated the world. This so-called Meteor had caused the oceans to turn red making great waves that flooded the world.. Even japan. In the aftermath of the cataclysmic event.. japan gave off a depressing vibe and so did its citizens. This disturbed Ishhin greatly. He learned most of this information through a library that would then be his own due to the owner dying. Most of his days he would just read and read and learn more about the world around him.

He had gotten used to the relaxing life that the future had to offer.. But he still missed the adrenaline that swordplay had given him. He was in the library drinking some tea and reading the daily newspaper. Nothing interesting, as always but.. There was an article that caught his eye. "Yui Ikari" A lab accident happened that killed her. Ishhin himself didn't know who she was but she did visit the library on rare occasions. "Well may she rest.." He checked the time on his clock and saw that it was 4pm. "I better get moving.. The ritual cannot be done when the dark comes" He sat up from his chair to grab a rather Suspicious cane. He then exited the library to go back to his cabin.

On his way he passed an alleyway and saw some thugs harassing a young woman.

She begged,"Please.. Leave me alone.. I just wanna get home.."

One of the thugs chuckled,"Not until you come with us.."

The thug gripped her by the hand. "Now lets have some fun.."

Ishhin gripped his cane and walked into the alleyway. The leader noticed him and shouted,"Hey Geezer! This is our turf!"

"And so what?"He asked. This made the man beyond pissed.

He whistled, Soon after 2 thugs surrounded Ishhin blocking the Alleyway entrance. He gave a malicious smile. "It seems you've chosen death.."

He unsheathed the cane revealing a hidden blade. Once the thugs saw this they freaked out.

"Hey.. Hey man We're sorry ab-" The thug was hit with a fist into the gut causing him to fall onto the ground.

Another thug then came and swung his bat towards Ishhin's head, His efforts were in vain when He parried the attack. The thug was so confused he didn't notice that his bat was cut in half. Snapping out of his trance he ran out of the alleyway scared shitless.

The leader shouted at him,"Hey don't leave me shitass!"

The guy shouted back,"I'm done with this shit!"

Soon after the only people in the alleyway were the woman and both men. Ishhin calmly walked towards the final thugged but was surprised when he whipped out a gun. He aimed it towards the woman's head.

"Come closer and I blow her head off!"

Ishhin stopped and instead Sheathed his blade.

"What the fuck are you doi-"

He was cut short when his arm fell off freaking the shit out of him. He screamed. Ishhin had been so quick in his attack the man didn't even notice. He grinned. Soon after the Thug ran out of the Alleyway clutching his severed hand whilst crying.

Ishhin sheathed the blade within his cane and resumed his walk towards his cabin leaving the woman rather dumbfounded. Little did he know that this woman was Naoko Akagi.

Ishhin sat on a nearby bench waiting for his train to arrive. It was 6pm and it was getting dark. Most people wouldn't go out at this time except him leaving the entire train station to himself, or so he thought. A rather small boy wandered in and without knowing sat next to Ishhin. He examined him and noticed that his eyes were filled with tears.

"Hello?" The boy raised his head to meet him. "H-Hi"

Ishhin looked around and asked,"Where are your parents?"

"Gone.." He raised an eyebrow. "Gone?" The boy nodded.

"My mom is dead.."

"And what about your father?"

"He left me.." That's when the realization struck him. This child was Yui Ikari's Son. The resemblance was just uncanny.

His mouth then furled into a frown. "I see.. That is unfortunate"

Then from a nearby tunnel, a train arrived, opening its doors and letting people exit. He stood up and went to the doors and noticed that the boy was following him. "C-Can I come?"

After a bit of pondering he smiled. "Sure"

The boy grabbed his hand and gave a weak smile. They both sat inside the train waiting to arrive at their destination. After a few minutes the train came to a stop opening its doors. Both the boy and Ishhin left the train station and onto the nearby dirt road that led to a Forest. The boy was scared and worried about where the man would take him but all those feelings disappeared when he saw a nice looking cabin.

The man entered the cabin and so did the boy. The interior was nice and was very reminiscent of the Sengoku period. The man entered a specific room that held a small shrine. The boy also noticed that Kanji was Written on the wooden floor, but why? His answer was given when the man chanted some words. The ground started to warp and bend, changing into the mouth of an Oni.

"W-What's going on!?"

Ishhin Simply laughed. "Do you wish to come or not?"

Looking back at Ishhin and at the mouth he finally spoke,"Y-Yea!"

The man chuckled. "Well off we go"

Years Later

At the very top of Ashina Castle 2 certain Samurai were fighting. One of the samurai was donned in light armor and held a bow and a Kissaki. He wore a poncho that had intricate patterns. This man was none other than Genichiro Ashina. The one destined to lead the Ashina clan. Before him was his brother Shinji Ikari. He wore the same armor and weapons as him except he had his helmet off. Instead He wore a Oni mask that only covered the bottom half of his face revealing his deep blue eyes and ponytail. He was also 16. To the other eyes of the Samurai, He was a bit young to be a warrior but, in Genichiro's eyes he was his equal. His ying to his yang. Both circled each other with their swords drawn.

That's when Shinji striked first. He thrusted forward and followed it with a flurry of strikes to which Genichiro Easily parried. Genichiro backed away and released a volley of arrows. Shinji just stepped out of the way and rushed to Genichiro. In mid sprint he sheathed his blade and used a technique called Ashina cross. A cross-like sphere appeared in front of shinji. Genichiro was lucky enough to parry all of his attacks. Sparks were sent flying, blinding both shinji and Genichero for a moment. This was his chance. Genichero then jumped, landing a strike onto shinji. He parried and more sparks were sent flying. Genichiro thrusted and much to his surprise he somehow countered it. Shinji had placed his foot onto the blade, pinning it. While in his trance he never noticed that Shinji's Kissaki was drawn towards his neck.

Shinji took off his mask revealing his smirk. "3 to 4 brother" Genichiro sighed. "You sure are one crafty bastard" both Shinji and Genichiro had sheathed their blades.

"Its needed to survive in the battlefield"

Genichiro Nodded. "Right"

One of the sliding doors opened revealing one of Ishhin's most trusted warriors. A seven spear.

The warrior Knelt "My lords.. I have news"

Shinji asked,"Is it regarding the ministry?"

The warrior nodded. "Yes.. my lord"

Both Shinji and Genichiro shared worried glances. "I See"

"It would be best if you were to follow me.. My lords"

Along with the warrior they descended on some stairs that led to a room just above the Dojo. The room was filled to the brim with supplies and weapons along with the rest of the 7 Spear warriors, the best of the best. They were huddled around a table that held an entire map of Ashina.

Genichiro Asked,"So what's happening?"

The head of the Seven Ashina Spear men spoke,"From what our spies can tell, the ministry is making camps near the Hirata Ruins and Mt Kongo.. There are at least 400 men.."

"It is plausible that our enemy is.. "

Shinji finished his sentence,"Preparing for a Siege"

"Yes.."

"Do we know when they shall start the siege?",Asked Genichiro

"In a few days my lords" Shinji gripped the table.

"Evacuate the citizens inside the castle"

"Yes.. my lords"

The Seven spears bowed and left leaving both brothers alone.

Shinji smashed his fist onto the table "Dammit.. They came earlier than predicted.."

"Brother.. Are you sure we can evacuate everyone?"

"We have enough days.. It should be enough before the siege starts"

Genichiro laid his hand on Shinji's shoulder,"I believe in the power of our men.. But what if we used the Divine heir..?"

"The boy from the Hirata estates?" Genichiro nodded. "The same one.."

The divine heir was currently being held in a shack not too far from the castle, Because of his.. Powers. Shinji could remember the events that took place 2 years ago. The bandit attack that had ravaged the Hirata clan. Most of the young Samurai were off fighting at the war leaving the Hirata estates unprotected. He could still remember the faint smell of blood and ash. The burning houses.. And the corpses, such a sight haunted him.

"What do you plan to do with him..?"

"Brother we can use him to give our troops immortality!.. Think about it!"

Shinji's mouth then formed a frown.

"But that would be weaponizing a child.. He has nothing to do with this.."

"But brother, we are doing this for our country!.."

Shinji stood up and left for one of the doors. "I'll think about it"

"Where are you going shinji?"

"I'm gonna gather some men to attack the settlements.. It's better if we strike first"

"Right.. I'll stay here and keep watch.. "

Shinji nodded. Before he even left the door Genichiro said,"Remember hesitation is defeat.."

He chuckled and left. "Hesitation is defeat"

In a deep forest just below the Senpou Mountains, Shinji stood along with his men. From tall samurai to Small Soldiers. Even the Seven spears were along with him and of course one of Shinji's Friends came along. The guardian Devil, Gyoubu oniwa, A nickname that the Ministry gave him.. And one that he actually liked. He was just some lowly bandit back then, but when he saw Shinji's Strength he became his disciple and later his friend. He wore heavy armor and used A large Yari that once belonged to Ishinn's nemesis, General Shuzen Tamura. A powerful Ministry general that Ishinn killed many years ago. He also donned a pelt that covered his back. It was more or less a cape, and finally he wore a large helmet with 2 large antlers sticking out. He's a tall man overall but he was even taller with his horse Onikage, an animal that he had bonded over the years.

Shinji took out a small telescope and saw that there was a large wall that spread between 2 mountains which was heavily guarded by Ministry guards. He could also see that in the trees above that shinobi were hiding.. Or how shinji liked to call them, Ministry rats. Most of Shinji's Men were hiding behind a ridge while Shinji and Gyoubo lay low atop a small hill. "It seems they have been here for a long time.."

"From what are spies could tell 4 months to say the least"

Shinji smirked. "They did good.. but the walls are in bad condition, with a simple swing of your Yari, the whole thing would tumble down.. "

"True.. but the problem here are those Shinobi.." After a bit of thinking an idea sparked in Shinji's mind.

"We can distract the Rats while our men flank from that ridge, if we can pull that off we'll come out with zero casualties, the only nitpick is what's beyond those walls, my best bet is that they are keeping ogre's"

Gyoubu grunted. "Those cowards always use monster's to do the dirty work"

"True.. it's the dam ministry we're talking about"

He chuckled. "It always is.." Soon after a gunman arrived. He knelt before the duo and asked, "What Shall we do my lord?"

"We'll rush in and distract the shinobi while you and the other men flank the enemy… give this information to the rest"

"Yes my lord" The man slowly crept back to the ridge and told the Samurai and Seven spears the plan.

Shinji turned to Gyoubu, he grinned,"It's time to roll out"

2 ministry guardsmen stood atop the walls staring at the deep forest before him. The only movement he could see was that of the Shinobi. "Hey pal? Do you believe in the Legends about Ishinn Ashina?" The other guard Shrugged,"I don't know, but I haven't seen a small group of swordsmen.. Not even a spy!, Those cowards are hiding in their little fortress all comfortable, I bet it won't be to long before its in flames"

The guardsmen Shrugged,"I'm gonna get a drink" The guardsmen left, leaving the other guy to sit and stare at the forest before him. That's when he heard it.

Somewhere in the distance he could hear a faint noise that gradually became louder by the minute. What could it be? He thought. His answer was soon given as a loud voice echoed through the entire woods. A voice that would severely haunt him. A man in clad armor rode a horse. He wielded a spear that was as big as A tree. Just behind him lay the infamous lord shinji. He carried a large bow.

"My name Is Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa! You shall never reach the Castle Gates Ministry Scum!"

The man's face drained of color when he realized who was before him. Gyoubu, the Guardian of Castle gates, and The infamous Shinji Ikari, known for killing thousands of the ministry's men. His anger towards them was Guardsmen readied his gun towards The incoming intruders. Before he could shoot he dropped dead, an arrow stuck out his head.

Soon after, The shinobi pounced with their swords unsheathed. Their eyes full with killer intent. Their attempts were cut short by Gyoubu. Each time they came closer he would swat them like flies using his Yari. A victim of such an attack would lay either dismembered or lay dead beyond recognition.

"Just like old times eh Gyoubu!?"

"Indeed my lord!" Then Samurai and Soldiers came spilling from both sides of the forest flanking the shinobi and pinning them near the entrance to the encampment. After a few minutes all the shinobi and guardsmen lay dead. The only thing left was what was beyond these walls. Gyoubu readied his yari and charged forward.

"Charge Okinage!"

The Walls simply fell leaving anyone that was under it dead. Like they say the.. The lucky ones died in the blast, or in this case flattened. Shinji and Gyoubu Charged into the encampment along with the 300 soldiers that Shinji led. They all let out thundering war cries that terrorized the shit out of the ministry. Those stupid enough, charged at Gyoubu only to be met with a swift death as his Yari Decapitated and Severed limbs. Any Shinobi that tried to jump the duo was either met with a gunshot or an arrow to the head, courtesy of shinji.

To say the least the Ministry was unprepared, and they paid the price. The aftermath of the battle was a bloody one. Corpse's lay dead upon the ground, houses were burning and oh boy was there a lot of weapons lying around, A scavenger's dream.

In Shinji's mind he was surprised. Never had the ministry been so unprepared. Was this a fluke? Were they lying in a trap?

"Somethings not right.. Everything was too easy.. And the battle ended rather.. quickly"

That's when he smelt it. The faint smell of Gunpowder. That's when his eyes widened. He looked up and saw a horrifying sight. In the mountains above Multiple Ministry Gunmen had their Muskets aimed towards the group below.

"It's an ambush!" As he said this, Gunshots rained below the group along with the deafening sounds of gunfire. Whilst in the escapade Shinji and Gyoubu separated to find some cover. Gyoubu and some Samurai hid under what was once a house while Shinji and a few samurai hid in a conveniently placed tunnel that led underground.

They ran into the tunnel and descended into the unknown.

The Samurai Groaned in pain as he clutched the wound on his shoulder. Shinji was grabbing some gunpowder from a nearby firework. He placed a bit of gunpowder on the man's wound, he also gave him a piece of cloth

"Sir.. hear me I need you to bite on the cloth.. This is gonna hurt"

"Yes my lord" He did as he was told. Soon after Shinji snapped his fingers and low and Behold a small flame appeared. Ever since he was child he was trained in the ways of the Ashina by his grandfather Ishinn. He also was taught how to manipulate fire and how to use it during combat. While his brother was shown the ways of Tomoe. Who was Tomoe? Shinji didn't know but he really didn't care since more important things were at hand.

Shinji then Cauterized the man's wound causing the Samurai to yelp due to the shock of the burn. Then Shinji grabbed a small gourd from his pocket and opened it. With a single drop the wound disappeared. This was the Magic of the healing gourd, an Invention that was originally from Dogen, One of Ashina's most brilliant minds. After the first invasions of the Ministry all of his work was burned and destroyed, he then later died to old age leaving the Project to Emma, One of Ashina's many Doctors. After a few years she made it more potent and perfected it.

"Thank you my lord.."

"You should be thanking the one who made this stuff" He left the Samurai to rest against the stony wall.

Shinji turned his head and faced a giant tunnel that led even deeper. Could it lead to the other encampment? He thought.

"Stay here for now my men.. And be ready for when the enemy attacks"

He was met with nods and grunts from the Samurai and Gunsmen.

He then entered the tunnel descending into the deep unknown, As time went on his surroundings got darker and darker. Shinji snapped his fingers causing a small fire to appear, He unsheathed his sword and imbued the fire onto it. He raised up and used it as a torch. The entire voyage was silent. He could hear the whimpering of a man. Feeling alerted he raised his sword in a battle stance and slowly descended further. That's when he finally reached a large room that was filled with cage's and in one of them was the man he had heard earlier. The man was in a fetal position whimpering and murmuring things that couldn't be heard.

He then noticed that a red fungus was sticking to his sandals. He slowly raised his foot and took a closer look. It had the resemblance of an eye. The fungus was even glowing red..

He looked over to the man and saw that his clothes were tattered and he was wearing a.. Basket? With just one step the man suddenly shouted.

"Don't come any closer or the monster will kill us!"

"Monster?" He slowly raised his sword making the man flinch. His basket fell off revealing his bloodshot eyes. The funny thing was that his eyes looked like the fungus he saw just a few moments ago. He then realized what was happening. This fungus was none other than the red Lump. It is said that a mighty warrior once defeated A oni that had terrorized the people of Japan for many years. Once that Oni died A red fungus spread from his body. That fungus was the Red lump. To anyone that consumed it, they would be granted with abnormal power and heightened senses but at a cost of their sanity. Within weeks they would warp and turn into unholy monsters such as the Headless and Ogres. Everything made sense to him now.

The ministry didn't capture these monsters, they created them, just thinking of such a thing made Shinji's stomach turn with disgust.. And by looking at the man's eyes, he was just a few days away from turning.

The man slowly raised his finger and spoke,"M-Monster.. M-Monster!"

Shinji took off his mask,"Hey I'm not a monster, I'm just like you.."

That's when Shinji felt it, the heavy breath behind his back. He gripped the handle of his sword and slowly moved around. He was face to face with an ogre that was double the size of him. Its eyes were bloodshot and its veins were bulging out. Its head was trapped in a cage and it wore some tattered clothes. The ogre slowly turned its head to the man and let out one hell of a screech.

"Monster!" The Ogre charged at the cage while Shinji just jumped out of the way. The ogre Rammed the cage so hard that it hit one of the cave walls making a small dust cloud. Once the dust settled he saw that the man was dead. His head was smashed into one of the Cave walls. The ogre then let out another shriek repeatedly smashing and punching the man's dead corpse. After the beating stopped, what was left was a messy pile of gore. The sight made Shinji's stomach twist further. The Ogre slowly turned its head and stared at Shinji. "Dammit! I have to be careful or I'll end up dead, lets just hope some of my men come and help me"

After a bit of waiting the ogre grew impatient. It then charged shinji head on with its hands ready for a grab. When the Ogre was just a few steps from him he flicked his wrist causing a large ball of fire to appear causing the Ogre to falter. The Ogre then retreated back into the darkness of the room.

Soon after some noise could be heard, looking behind him was a samurai that came from the tunnel. The same one he had healed. "My lord! Are you alright?"

"Yes I am.. But somewhere in this room we have an Ogre lurking about.." The man double takes.

"An Ogre!?" Shinji nodded,"Yes.. And you better help or we'll both end dead"

The Samurai drew his blade and stood back to back with shinji.

They waited for the Ogre to reappear and soon enough it did. It charged and went for the Samurai instead of Shinji. The samurai stepped aside and slashed the Ogre's Knee, making it release a howl. It knelt and received an arrow to the head. Even though it hit dead center into the head. The monster still lived, startling the samurai even more. To shinji this wasn't new. He had fought them before and almost died to one.. He wouldn't repeat those mistakes.

The ogre simply grabbed the arrow and took it, throwing it to its side. Shinji didn't waste time and striked. The Ogre raised its hand to block the attack but the blade just went through like butter. With a single motion Shinji severed one of the Ogre's Hands. The Ogre let out a screech of pain and started to cry. While in its weakened state both the Samurai and Shinji thrusted forward towards the creature's chest. The monster vomited blood and fell to its knees.

It then fell limp and after a few seconds its corpse started to disintegrate showing a shriveled old man. Shinji sighed "May this poor soul rest" He spoke a small prayer and sheathed his sword.

The samurai asked,"What now my lord?"

"We'll get the rest of our men to see what's beyond this room"

"Yes my lord"

Shinji and his men had found more prisoner's beyond the room. Those that were infected.. Had to be killed, they were beyond human and they already had lost their humanity. Those that were fortunate enough were cured and taken back to Ashina Castle. During the fight with the Ogre, Gyoubu had already killed the Ambushers, he even went into the tunnel at some point. They've destroyed all of the Narcotics that included the red lump so that the ministry wouldn't create More monsters. To say the least Shinji and Gyoubu had derailed the Ministry's preparation, they would be pissed. They stole everything from the camp and gave it to their men. Cannons, Weapons, Firearms and Armor.

The ministry was careless, and they paid the price. Shinji and Gyoubu were hanging out at the castle gates waiting for any invaders. It was currently night. The field before them was littered with the corpse's of Ministry Soldiers. They usually attacked at night in squads, they would all be killed before they even took a step. "My lord.. You should rest after everything you endured.. And for the siege that will start tomorrow"

"Are you sure you can stay here Gyoubu?" The man chuckled. "There's a reason why they call me the guardian devil"

Shinji smiled. "Right"

Ishhin Sat in one of the many towers meditating. He heard a knock on one of the walls.

"Enter" The sliding doors opened revealing Shinji.

Ishhin smiled at the sight of him. "Why hello there Shinji! Come in!"

He Sat down Next to Ishhin. "Hello Grandfather.. How are you feeling?" His face held worry and Ishhin noticed this. He gave a grin. "Well my boy"

He also gave shinji a cup that held a certain substance. "What's this?"

"Something you've earned Shinji" He smelt it and found that it was Sake, surprisingly it was Raw.

"I've never drinked before.."

"Well there's a first in everything" Shinji hesitated but drank it nonetheless. He felt a stinging sensation which was then replaced with a rather Sweet flavor.

"So how was it?" Shinji shrugged. "Okay.. I guess?"

Ishhin chuckled. "You're still that same boy I picked up in that station.."

"Heh.. Even after all the stuff I saw.. I guess I am"

Shinji asked again,"Is your condition worsening?"

The smile that Ishhin had brushed off his face. "It is.. Every morning I wake up with a pain in my chest.. And breathing becomes hard.. Sometimes"

"I see"

"But don't worry about me.. Grandson, there are more important things you should worry about.."

"The siege?" He nodded.

Shinji sighed. "Well I guess you're right" Suddenly One of the sliding doors opened revealing a rather bloodied Nightjar.

This alerted Both Ishhin and Shinji, by the time he got in they both had their swords drawn.

"My Lords… The shinobi at the well.. Has gone after the Divine Heir"

"When!?"

"Just a few moments Ago.."

Shinji unsheathed his blade and ran towards the nearest exit. On his run he could hear his grandfather yell a quote that he was too familiar with,"Hesitation is defeat!"

Shinji Tracked the Shinobi's steps towards the Ashina Well, Before him was the secret passage. "This has to be where the Shinobi Went, He would've went somewhere secluded so that he can escape along with the Divine Heir, Funny Enough this is one of the roads that leads to the Ashina Border, If not then he must be hiding somewhere"

He grabbed the key in his pocket and opened the door before him. A dimly lit tunnel led to a field filled with white flowers. He walked into the field and noticed that his brother was just a few steps away. He also looked to his right and saw the Shinobi he was tracking down. He was bleeding out, and right next to him was the Divine Heir, he was unconscious.

Genichiro turned,"Hello brother, I already took care of the Shinobi.. You can leave if you want"

"I won't, I'll stay here for a bit" His brother nodded.

"Say, you still made your Opinion? We can use the Divine heir you know.."

Shinji grimaced."but that's weaponizing a child! That's wrong Genichiro.. And you just can't force him.."

"But I'm doing this for the sake of Ashina! I believe in our troops but anything can go wrong!"

"I won't let you…"

"So you want to fight me!?"

Shinji gripped the hilt of his Kissaki. "No.."

"Then how are you gonna stop me Eh!?"

Shinji gave Genichiro an Answer, He drew his blade. Genichiro Cursed and drew his blade as well, "Then so be it.."

They circled each other with their blades drawn. Their eyes full with killer intent. Genichiro Stepped to the side and shot a volley of arrows, Shinji stepped aside and charged towards Genichiro.

"Shit it's gonna be like last time! What caught Genichiro off guard was that he didn't have his sword sheathed. "The hell Is h-" He was cut short when Shinji delivered a volley of kicks and swift punches. Genichiro fell to the grass clutching his bleeding nose. He was in a stance with his arms outstretched like a praying mantis while his legs were firmly placed onto the ground.

"The stance.. And the way he attacks, Is this the Senpou Style?.. And if it is, Since when did he learn!?"

Genichiro decided to cut the crap and charged at Shinji. Shinji changed from the Senpou stance to that of a normal samurai. Genichiro Delivered a series of blows to which shinji easily parried. He then finished off with a thrust attack.

Shinji could've countered it but instead he parried causing both Shinji and Genichiro to lose balance. Genichiro was the first to recuperate, he swung towards shinji who was fortunate enough to parry his attack. Genichiro kept on driving his blade while Shinji blocked.

They both separated and caught some breath for just a moment. Shinji looked at his quiver and saw a particular arrow. It had a black tip and had firecrackers tied around the head. Shinji grinned.

"If i can time this right, then i'll end the battle quickly, lets just hope it works.."

Genichiro charged at Shinji. "Just like I expected"

Shinji took out his bow and the arrow. Before he shot it, a small flame flicked into existence on shinji's finger catching a fuse to catch on fire. He shot the arrow, and just as he expected Genichiro stepped aside. He had already won. The Firecrackers Exploded releasing Blinding sparks of light. Genichiro fell to the ground and covered his eyes. "You bastard!"

He then noticed that Shinji's Kissaki was drawn towards his neck, Just like in training.

"Brother.. I don't wanna do this, We can let the divine heir Go, he has no business here.."

Genichiro grinned. "That's where you're wrong.. Brother"

Before he could ask why, a shuriken came flying towards Shinji's head. He was fortunate enough to parry it but he didn't notice that Genichiro had his sword unsheathed. Shinji's arm was severed. Shinji collapsed to the ground clutching his wound.

"I'm sorry brother, it had to be done.."

Shinji gasped for breath "Im.. Not done" He gripped the hilt of his blade and slowly got up, he fell down because of the pain.

He felt woozy and shortly after he fell onto the grass unconscious.

Shinji woke up panting heavily. His eyes were already opened and they scanned the area around him. He was in some kind of temple, Wooden dolls were scattered around, They were reminiscent of Buddha, the Entrance was not too far and it showed the morning sunlight. Shinji then remembered the incident that had happened a night ago.

He checked his arm and to his surprise he had a.. Prosthetic? It was a wooden prosthetic with a few metal parts here and there. He tried moving each finger Individually and to his surprise it worked. It felt so weird. He couldn't feel anything but he could at the same time. The best he could describe the feeling within this prosthetic hand was numbing. He heard a voice behind him. Quickly he went for his scabbard and unsheathed his sword.

Before him was an old man, He was sitting comfortably with both legs crossed. Between them was a wooden doll he was working on. In his hands he had a chisel. His hair was a mix between grey and white and he wore some orange robes

"Took you long enough to wake up.."

"Where am I, and what's this thing on my arm?"

"That is a shinobi Prosthetic, It was made by a friend of mine… and regarding your question we're in a temple"

"Did you save me?" The man nodded. "Couldn't leave you to die" Shinji sheathed his sword.

"I see, Did you help the Shinobi Aswell?"

"Yes, He left just a few moments ago, You might like him.. "

"Thanks for the help.. Sir"

"The name is Sculptor, or orangutan"

Shinji nodded, he faced the entrance, Before he left the sculptor spoke,"Before you leave, You must know something"

Shinji turned. "Yes?"

"From what I can tell, your Shinji Ikari, one of the lords that reside within Ashina castle.. Am I right?"

"Yes.. Why do you ask?"

"Your brother has called you a traitor.. Most of the military might attack you on sight.. So beware"

Shinji cursed. "Thanks Sculptor, I'll see you another time.. "

He finally exited the temple and let the Morning sunlight shine upon him. Before he laid a long path, He would battle many foes and enemies and befriend many allies… for this my friend is Sekiro..

ATHOURS NOTES:

Well we sure have a lot to cover here. I tried to make everything as realistic as possible. In the main game Shurkiens and Gunfire really have no effect because it's a souls game, in real life weapons like these would cause heavy damage. Also ogres are A REALLY BIG THREAT. I also gave a reason why The mortal blades existed and also a way for Ishinn to go to Shinji's world. I always thought a meteor had hit the fountainhead palace because the lake was just too big! I also know that Miyazaki Likes to make things big but I gave some context. We also don't know why Ogres exist so I gave them some Lore. I know shinji seems very out of character but he's seen a lot of things on the battlefield. He must be very battle hardened and also I suppose Ishhin would crack Shinji's Introverted shell. During combat Shinji is fierce as a bull but in person he's a shy person. I also decided to Give Shinji the Prosthetic instead of Wolf just to make things interesting. This story is gonna mainly focus on the universe of NGE. I'll have a side story showing what happened in the campaign. Anywho, that's it for this chapter! Or prologue. Off till next time! Adios!
