Episode - A Pup in Sheep's Clothing (disclaimer: the episode is from my point of view)

It was another sunny day in Adventure Bay as I was driving along the road near Farmer Al's farm.

I had noticed Ryder, Marshall, and Rocky heading there so I decided to see what they were doing.

I didn't follow them too closely but I could see Marshall was trying to get past Ryder and Rocky.

"Guys, that blur about to pass you is… me!" he called.

He passed by them in his fire truck and stopped near the barn.

"I won! I finally won!" Marshall exclaimed.

But then he looked back.

"Huh?" he asked.

Marshall turned his fire truck around and drove back to Ryders ATV and Rocky's recycling truck but Ryder and Rocky were nowhere to be seen.

Marshall hopped down from his fire truck and looked over a fence.

"What happened? I was winning!" he said.

Then as I turned the corner I saw Ryder and Rocky standing by a hole in the fence and a lamb that was laying on its neck.

"We'll race later, Marshall." said Ryder. "This lamb needs help."

Ryder picked up the lamb and held it in his arms.

"That's better, huh, buddy?" he said to the lamb as Marshall walked up to them.

The lamb licked Ryder a little.

"Now, let's get you back to Farmer Al." said Ryder as we walked off with the lamb with Marshall by his side.

"And I'll fix the fence!" said Rocky as we walked up to the hole in the fence.

I disembarked and hopped over the fence watching them.

As Rocky started to fix up the fence I ran over to him.

"Hey, Rocky!" I called.

Rocky noticed me.

"Oh, hi Adam!" greeted Rocky. "What are you doing here at Farmer Al's?"

I knelt and rubbed Rocky's back.

"Well I saw you, Ryder and Marshall coming in and wondered what you were doing." I explained to the mixed breed.

"Well the fence is broken as you can see," said Rocky. "So I'm just fixing it."

I noticed a few planks of wood nearby.

I picked them up and brought them back to Rocky.

"Here's some wood Rocky you can use this to fix the fence." I said.

"Thank you Adam," said Rocky.

First Rocky unscrewed the broken planks with the ratchet from his pup pack. Then I put in one of the planks of wood I found on the fence.

I started the bolts and Rocky screwed them in.

"Thank you Adam, that was a big help to me," said Rocky.

"No problem Rocky." I said.

Then Rocky went off to join Ryder and Marshall.

As I looked at some sheep in the fence I helped Rocky fix I noticed Ryder Marshall and Rocky with Farmer Al.

Then I saw Marshall looking at something on the pile of wool Farmer Al made by trimming the wool on his sheep because of the warm weather.

"Huh what's that Marshall's looking at?" I said to myself.

I walked closer to where they were then stopped to see if I could hear what Marshall was saying.

"Ooh, gold stars!" I heard him say.

"Can I have a sticker, Farmer Al?" Marshall asked as he turned to face Farmer Al.

"Please, please, please?" Marshall begged while jumping up and down.

"Heh heh, sure, Marshall." said Farmer Al.

"In fact, you lamb savers deserve a whole bunch of sticker books!" he said holding up 3 sticker books like the one Marshall was looking at.

Marshall was delighted.

"All right!" he cried, pouncing back.

But that caused him to slip on the wool and he slipped into the air.

"Whoa!" cried Marshall as he flipped back up in the air, and he fell into the wool pile.

Farmer Al and Ryder laughed as Ryder picked up the sticker books Farmer Al gave them.

Marshall popped his head out of the wool.

I also noticed he didn't have his fire helmet on his head and had some wool on it instead and some wool hanging from his ears.

"Fluffiest fall ever!" he exclaimed.

I ran up quickly.

"Marshall, are you alright buddy boy?" I asked.

"I'm good." replied Marshall.

I picked up Marshall and held him in my arms.

Then Marshall shook his head to get the wool off.

He got it off one of his ears.

"Here." I said.

I held Marshall with one arm and used my other hand to pull the wool off his other ear and also took the wool off his head.

"Thanks Adam." said Marshall as I put my other arm back where it was when I was holding Marshall.

I set Marshall on his paws again.

Then I dug in the wool to find his helmet.

"Here's your helmet buddy." I said putting it back on Marshall's head.

"Thanks Adam," said Marshall. "So what are you doing here?"

I told them what I said to Rocky.

"Oh I see." said Marshall.

"But you did see me win right?" he asked.

"Alright Marshall," said Ryder. "No need to get Adam involved."

"Oh sorry," said Marshall.

Rocky also explained when I came in and helped fix the hole in the fence.

"Well here's a sticker book for you too Adam." said Farmer Al handing me a sticker book like he gave to Ryder, Rocky, and Marshall.

"Wow, thanks Farmer Al." I said.

"Ryder, can you hand me my sticker book?" asked Marshall.

"Here you go Marshall." Ryder replied as he put Marshall's sticker book in Marshall's mouth.

"Lets see what stickers we got Adam." said Marshall laying his book on the grass and laid down.

I did the same thing and we opened our sticker books.

"Hey! Here's some stars!" exclaimed Marshall.

"Oh yeah, mine has stars also." I said.

"I love gold stars." said Marshall as he noticed some on the pages we were looking at.

I went back to my truck after Marshall and I looked at our new sticker books for a bit more and then drove back home.

When I got home I looked at my sticker book a little more.

Then I noticed some numbers in it and quickly saw the number 1.

Looking at it reminded me of Marshall cause he was pup number 1 to me since he was my favorite.

Later on I decided to see how Marshall was liking his new sticker book so I went to my truck and drove to the intersection outside my neighborhood.

Then I heard the siren from Marshall's fire truck and I thought I also heard the siren from Chase's truck.

I didn't think twice and sped off after them.

I followed them to Farmer Al's.

"What's the matter now?" I said.

I pulled up to where Marshall had parked his fire truck.

I saw near the barn were Ryder, Chase in his spy gear, Rocky and Marshall.

Then Chase barked out his drone, and it took off into the sky.

Then I noticed Ryder talking to Rocky and Marshall.

"Rocky, Marshall, time to get started making a pup-sized sheep." I heard Ryder say.

Rocky walked to the back of his recycling truck.

"Let's get…" Marshall started before jumping into a pile of wool.

"Wooly with it!" said Marshall emerging from the pile with a lot of wool all over his body and fire gear.

"We'll need more than just wool," said Rocky.

"And I've got just the stuff in my truck." Rocky said as he jumped into the back of his recycling truck as Marshall walked over to him with no wool on him.

Rocky tossed out some cans.

"Soup cans? What are those for?" Marshall asked.

"I'll show you just as soon as you spray paint them black." replied Rocky looking at Marshall from his truck.

"Okay." said Marshall.

He jumped back a little.

"Arf! Paint cannons!" said Marshall.

His water cannons popped out of his pup pack and sprayed the cans black.

"I don't get it." said Marshall as his water cannons went back into his pup pack.

Then Rocky tossed some socks onto Marshall's muzzle.

"Nose socks?" Marshall asked.

"That'd be silly, Marshall!" said Rocky giggling as he hopped down from his truck.

"They're ear socks." corrected Rocky.

"Oh, right, ear socks!" said Marshall, sounding like he was finally getting it.

But he really wasn't.

"I still don't get it." said Marshall.

I hopped out of my truck and paced toward them but stopped to see what they were doing.

Soon Marshall's entire body was covered in wool with the socks as sheep ears.

Then he stepped into the now black soup cans and Rocky put some wool on Marshall's tail.

"Now I get it!" said Marshall as he wagged his tail.

"Not baa-ad!" he said, starting to act like a sheep.

He giggled.

I couldn't tell if he was giggling at his joke or his costume.

"Great disguise." said Ryder walking over to the gate in the fence.

"Come on, time to make friends with the real sheep." he continued opening the gate with Rocky and Marshall following.

Then they walked over to Farmer Al fixing another hole in the fence.

"Hi Ryder, Rocky!" he said.

Then Farmer Al saw Marshall's sheep disguise.

He chuckled as Marshall blinked his eyes and smiled.

"Marshall, thats some Halloween costume." said Farmer Al.

"It's not for Halloween. I'm an undercover sheep." corrected Marshall.

"Baa!" he said imitating a sheep.

"This way, he can sneak around and find out who's making those holes in your fence." explained Ryder.

"And I'll help you fix the fence again, Farmer Al." added Rocky.

"Woof, screwdriver!" he said and as a screwdriver popped out of his pup pack.

Then it tightened some screws on the fence.

I ran closer to where they were so I could see and hear them better.

Farmer Al walked over to the sheep pasture with Marshall following, undid the latch and opened the gate.

"Hey lambs!" he called to the lambs.

"Say hello to our new friend, uh... M…" Farmer Al started.

"Barney!" finished Marshall as the sheep gathered around him.

"Baa baa!" he said acting like a sheep and then running with the sheep following him.

"Baa!" said Marshall, but he didn't see he was running toward a tire Farmer Al had in the pasture.

"Whoopsie!" he said as he tripped over the tire with the other sheep hopping over the tire after him.

Then the sheep snuggled against Marshall's sides.

"Ooh, tickly!"said Marshall. "I mean, baa!"

Marshall and the sheep were unaware that Garbie the goat was watching them and he was suspicious at what Marshall was doing.

The sheep walked away from Marshall and started munching on grass.

Garbie growled at Marshall.

I was worried what Garbie would do to Marshall.

Marshall noticed Garbie glaring at him.

"Hi, I'm the new sheep, Barney," he said.

"Heh heh!" he continued with a nervous tone.

Garbie just glared at him.

I ran over as quickly as I could jumping over the fence between the barn and where the sheep were.

"Alright Garbie!" I told the goat.

"That's enough glaring at the new sheep." I said, playing along what Ryder had planned.

Garbie looked at me still looking mad and then looked at Marshall.

Marshall looked a little scared at what Garbie would do.

"Just ignore her little sheep!" I called to Marshall.

Marshall understood what I was doing and kept on spying.

I went to see how Rocky was fixing the fence and when I was nearby I pulled my phone out to look up how I could distract Garbie.

Then I saw Ryder and Chase return to outside the pasture and Ryder was carrying a sheep in his arms.

He opened the gate and let the sheep run into the pasture.

"Any clue who's making those fence holes?" he whispered to Marshall while leaning against the gate.

"Nope." whispered Marshall getting into a pouncing position.

"Could be any one of my new playmates," he continued. "They're a pretty rough bunch."

"Well keep mingling with them while Chase and I check the perimeter." Ryder whispered.

"Will do." whispered Marshall as Ryder closed the gate.

Marshall looked around for a moment.

"That looks like fun, guys!" said Marshall as he walked up to the sheep.

The sheep were running around the tire in the pasture while one of them was in it.

"I mean, baa baa baa!" said Marshall as he joined the other sheep running around the tire.

I laughed as I ran up to the field again.

Marshall was glad to see me.

He ran up to me behind the fence.

"Hi Adam." whispered Marshall.

"Hey little buddy." I whispered as I reached down and rubbed his wool disguise.

"Nice disguise." I said.

"Thanks, I'm trying to find out where these holes in the fence are coming from." explained Marshall quietly.

We whispered to each other so the sheep or Garbie wouldn't know that Marshall was in disguise.

"I'll help you." I whispered.

I went in the field and closed the gate to help Marshall with the spying.

I looked around the pasture looking for clues when I heard Marshall say out loud

"Oh no!" he cried.

I ran over to the other side of the pasture.

"Marshall, did you find anything?" I asked.

"No, look!" cried Marshall pointing his paw at the fence.

There was another hole in it and the sheep escaped through it.

"Oh, great!" I said.

"I'll call Ryder," said Marshall.

"Ok I'll find something to catch them." I said jumping over the fence and looking for something to use.

Marshall tapped his pup tag and called Ryder.

"Ryder! There's another new hole in the fence, " said Marshall. "Three lambs escaped and are heading toward those rocky hills."

"Go after them Marshall!" said Ryder through the pup tag. "It's too dangerous for baby lambs."

"But what if the rest of the lambs get out?" asked Marshall.

Then Rocky came over with the hammer from his pup pack and a plank of wood in his claw arm.

"I'll fix the fence so they can't." he said. "You go!"

"On my way!" said Marshall as he got out of the hole but he got his foot stuck in the fence and fell down pulling it out.

Then Garbie came over and chomped some wool off Marshall's disguise.

Marshall was tired of Garbie getting suspicious with him.

I looked over from the barn and saw everything.

"Okay, so I'm not a real sheep." said Marshall as he got up.

"I'm on official PAW patrol duty," he confronted. "Now please stand baa-ack!"

Garbie was surprised by what Marshall said and reversed back.

Then Marshall ran off in the direction of the sheep.

"Nice job little buddy!" I whispered.

Then I ran back to my truck to join the chase.

I put some binoculars I had over my neck and then grabbed a net to catch the sheep in.

Marshall hopped over the fence and kept running.

Then Ryder and Chase arrived in their vehicles.

Marshall hopped on Ryder's ATV and the three of them followed Chase's drone.

I drove after them in my truck.

Chase's drone found the sheep going into a cave on the side of a cliff.

Ryder looked through its camera on his Pup pad.

"Uh-oh, they're going into a cave. We gotta hurry." said Ryder.

"A deep dark cavern is no place for little lambs." he added as they kept driving towards the drone with me following not far behind.

They arrived at the cliff and looked over in the direction of the cavern.

They heard the sheep bleating as they looked.

"The lambs are in the cave down there!" said Ryder.

"And they sound really scared." added Marshall. "We got to get them out of there!"

"But the cave opening's too small for any of us to fit through." objected Ryder. "They'll have to come to us."

Then Marshall had an idea.

"I think I can do it!" he gasped.

I arrived and parked by some pine trees and got my net ready just in case.

I was just in time to see Marshall drop onto a ledge on the cliff.

"Careful Marshall." warned Chase. "The ground's pretty shaky."

As Marshall jumped onto the ledge where the cave was he nearly fell cause the rock collapsed beneath him.

"Whoa!" said Marshall but luckily he saved himself.

"Phew!" he exhaled.

I ran up quickly near Ryder and Chase.

I looked through my binoculars to see how Marshall was doing down there.

We saw Marshall go toward the cave and look inside.

"Don't be scared guys." We heard him say. "Your old pal Barney's here."

I heard the sheep down in the cave.

"I mean Baa-rney!" said Marshall, correcting himself.

"Baa! Baa!" said Marshall trying to get the sheep to come to him.

Then Ryder, Chase and I heard the sheep again.

"That's it, keep coming!" said Marshall. "Baa! Baa!"

The lambs bleating as Marshall pulled his head out of the cave with the lambs right after.

One of the lambs touched Marshall with its nose.

Marshall giggled.

"Great job, buddy." said Ryder giving a thumbs up.

"Marshall!" howled Chase.

"Well done buddy boy!" I said to myself.

"I'm happy to see you, too." said Marshall.

But he was unaware that he and the lambs were on an unstable piece of rock on the cliff.

"Baa! Baa!" said Marshall.

Just then the rock gave way, sending Marshall and the lambs falling down the cliff!

"No! Marshall!" I thought.

Ryder and Chase also saw what had happened.

"Spy Chase, snag 'em!" cried Ryder.

"Net!" barked Chase.

His net popped out of his pup pack and Chase launched it down the cliff.

I put the net down by the cliff and knelt down looking through my binoculars to see if I could see Marshall and the lambs.

"Whoa!" cried Marshall as the net neared him and the lambs.

The net then grabbed Marshall and the lambs.

Ryder pulled on the rope to help Chase stop them from falling.

I looked through the binoculars again and saw Marshall and the lambs were safely in the net.

I was glad Marshall was alright including the lambs.

"Baa! I mean, thanks!" said Marshall.

Ryder giggled as he continued pulling up Marshall and the lambs.

"Here let me help Ryder." I said running over to them.

I put down the net and helped Ryder pull up Chase's net.

With my help Ryder and Chase pulled the net back up the cliff and to safety.

I helped Ryder open the net and Chase put the net back in his pup pack.

"Thanks Chase." said Marshall as he and the lambs got out of the net. "And thank you too Ryder and Adam."

"Oh Marshall I was so worried!" I said as I knelt down to him.

"Oh, I'm fine now Adam." said Marshall as he ran toward me and proceeded to lick my face.

I gave Marshall a hug, happy that he was safe and sound.

"Now that the escaped lambs are safe, let's head back to Rocky to see how he's doing fixing the fence." said Ryder.

"Looks like I don't need this now." I said picking up my net.

"Oh yeah my net caught them and Marshall as you did see Adam" said Chase.

"Let's lead them back." said Ryder.

"Ryder, can I ride back with Adam?" asked Marshall. "He was ready to help me catch the hole maker and he had the net just in case."

"Of course Marshall," said Ryder. "Since Adam was ready to help you."

"Thanks Ryder," said Marshall.

He turned back to the sheep.

"Follow us sheep." said Marshall "I mean.. Baa! Baa!"

I opened the passenger door of my truck and Marshall hopped in then I was ready to help Ryder and Chase lead the sheep back with Marshall using his sheep disguise to make the sheep think we were helping them.

Marshall looked behind him out the door window.

"Baa! Baa!" he said.

"Everyone go slowly." whispered Ryder.

And we started off back to Farmer Al.

Chase and Ryder put their vehicles behind the sheep to herd them back with Marshall in my truck to the left side of the sheep.

Chase also used his siren to herd the sheep back.

Marshall bleated at the sheep to keep them following my truck.

Soon we were outside Farmer Al's.

"Adam, stop here so I can guide them back into the field." Marshall said to me.

"Ok buddy boy." I said as I stopped my truck.

Then I went over and opened the door for Marshall.

He hopped out of my truck.

"Baa! Baa!" he said to the sheep.

Then Marshall led the way and the sheep followed him single file with Ryder and Chase behind.

I followed them shortly after when they reached the field.

I parked near the barn and then saw Rocky by the field.

"Marshall, you found them! Way to go!" he exclaimed.

"Thanks, Rocky," said Marshall. "We're all glad to be ba-."

But before Marshall could finish, the sheep bleated in response.

Ryder and Chase giggled as they ran up to them.

"And don't worry about the lambs escaping again, 'cause I fixed that fence for good." said Rocky.

Then they heard a crashing noise and so did I.

Ryder, Chase, Marshall, Rocky and the lambs ran in.

Farmer Al heard the noise as he was walking with a trimmer in his hand and two sheep walking behind him.

I ran up to the fence where Ryder and Chase had parked their vehicles, jumped over it and stood at the other side.

We all saw Garbie hitting the fence with his back legs until the wood finally broke.

Garbi ducked under the fence, walked over to the tire and laid down on it and went to sleep.

Ryder and Farmer Al walked up to the pasture inside the fence Garbie had hit.

"Garbi was the fence hole maker?" asked Ryder.

"Well what do you know?" said Farmer Al. "Looks like Garbi loves that old tire so much, he kicked his way in to get to it."

"I'll move that tire out into the pasture, after Garbi's nap." he said as he opened the gate to let the escaped lambs back into the fence.

"Heh, thanks, PAW Patrol!" said Farmer Al.

"No worries Farmer Al." said Ryder. "Whenever you have a problem just yelp for help."

"Well back to work!" said Farmer Al.

He turned on his razor but he was accidentally trimming Marshall's costume.

"Baa! I mean, hey!" cried Marshall "I'm really a pup!"

Oops, sorry!" said Farmer Al.

They all laughed and so did I as I ran over.

"Here, I'll help you buddy." I said.

Farmer Al trimmed the two sheep he was with and I used to fix Marshall's costume.

"Thanks Adam," said Marshall. "And thanks for all your help trying to help me catch whoever broke the fence."

"No problem buddy boy." I said as I knelt down by him and gently stroked his costume.

"Let me get a picture of you in your nice sheep disguise." I said pulling out my phone.

Marshall posed as I took a picture. Then he posed again and I took another one.

We did this a few times before Ryder thought of something.

"Hey Adam, can you get your net?" he asked. "Maybe you'd like some photos of both you and Marshall."

"Of course Ryder." I said handing him my phone as I ran to my truck to get my net.

I still had my binoculars around my neck.

I grabbed the net and ran back to them.

"Ready Ryder." I said as I posed with Marshall in the frame of the phone's camera.

Ryder took some different photos with my phone so Marshall and I could be reminded of this.

"Have a look," said Ryder, handing me back my phone.

I knelt down to Marshall again and we looked through the photos.

"Nice!" exclaimed Marshall.

"Yeah." I agreed as I patted his back and stroked his costume.

Marshall then had an idea for a game we could play together.

"Hey Adam, since you have that net do you want to play Catch the Sheep?" he asked.

"Well how do you play, little buddy?" I asked.

Marshall walked in front of me.

"Well, since I'm an undercover sheep I pretend I got out of the field, and you're the sheep catcher with that net, so you have to catch me." explained Marshall.

"Wow, that sounds fun," said Rocky.

"You're on, my little buddy in sheep costume"." I said picking up the net.

Marshall giggled with my statement.

Then he started prancing around.

Baa! Baa!" said Marshall playing the game.

"Come here you little sheep." I said playfully and started chasing Marshall with the net in my hand ready to strike.

"Baa!" said Marshall as he ran with me chasing after him.

Marshall giggled as he ran with me chasing after him.

Ryder Chase, Rocky, and Farmer Al watched us play.

"Those two love playing together." giggled Ryder.

"They sure do." nodded Rocky.

I chased Marshall around the barn.

Marshall giggled as he turned a corner.

"You won't get me Adam!" he called me.

"Oh yeah, watch this!" I called back.

I ran around the other side of the barn.

Marshall didn't know what I was doing.

As he turned the corner I stood beside him and struck the net on Marshall.

"Uh-oh!" cried Marshall as he got caught in my net.

"Got you little lamb." I said with a laugh.

Marshall laughed as I let him go.

"Are you alright buddy boy?" I asked.

"Yeah I'm good." replied Marshall. "You caught the sheep."

Marshall and I laughed together and so did Ryder and the others.

The End
