"Is Michelle finally asleep?" Joey asked.
"Thankfully. When did Danny say the guy was coming to fix the heater?" Jesse shivered slightly, wrapping his arms around his shoulders.
"Friday at the latest." Joey patted the empty space next to him on the blue loveseat where he was swaddled tightly like a burrito in a royal blue throw blanket "Sit with me, Jess. It'll keep both of us warmer."
Jesse made a face and waved his hand to brush off the offer. "No, thanks. I'm a grown man. I don't need a cuddle buddy."
"It's not cuddling, Jess! Just sharing a blanket," Joey insisted.
Jesse sat reluctantly on the couch, still refusing to take the portion of the blanket that Joey had untucked and was holding out toward him. His teeth chattered ever-so-slightly.
"Just take the blanket." Jesse glared at his roommate but ultimately obliged. Still, he kept as much space as he could between himself and Joey while keeping them both fully covered.
"Now, doesn't that feel better?" Joey smiled triumphantly.
Jesse scoffed. "Maybe a little," he admitted. "But if Danny ever finds out about this, you're a dead man!"
Joey raised his arms as if to surrender. "Fair enough."
