As I woke up this morning my little brother, Austin, was screaming. "Ugh."I groaned as I formed my lips into a line. I decided to lay back for 5 minutes, knowing me, it turned into 10, then 15, and stopped at 20. "Evelyn Esme Whitlock, you better wake up right now, or I'll send Juliet after you!" My dad yelled. I have 7 siblings. I only have one sister and she was really annoying. And my dad is single, and hasn't dated anyone since mom left. I've just started highschool last week and I'm not excited for monday. I have two brothers in elementary school. Austin, the youngest, is in pre-school. And that one sister I was talking about? She's in middle school, 6th. The rest of them, High school, how exciting.
As I got on the bus, I sat down at my usual seat next to Luna. My best friend. "Hey Luna." I stated. Luna looked up from her book, "Oh, hey Lyn," Luna started. "I've been wondering why you haven't texted me in awhile. Why is that?' She finished. "I've just been reading. I haven't checked my messages since Monday actually." I mentioned. "Oh sounds like you," Luna said, tucking her black hair behind her ear and pushing up her glasses higher on the bridge of her nose. "Yeah I guess it does." I finished. As the bus came to a stop, the door opened. Then in walks Steven Graham. I've never really liked anyone until I started here. But last week during gym, I was playing soccer with Luna. He stopped Noah Fisher from hitting on me again. I might be a stupid girl but- "Excuse me," Steven started. I turn my head around and look up at him making eye contact. "Oh, Yeah?" I asked, screaming internally. He apparently figured that out and formed his lips into a line. "Your friend here is in my seat." He said directed towards me. Luna's face turned into an actual sock. Luna looked up above her head and turned red with embarrassment. Sure enough the tags said, Steven and Evelyn. "I am so sorry." Luna mumbled while walking over my lap into her seat beside me. I moved down the bus seat and Steven sat down on my left. I was definitely internally screaming. "I'm sorry I came onto you lot like that, you guys didn't deserve to get yelled at." He said. "Oh no it's perfectly fine, I don't know about Luna though, she seemed pretty upset." I answered back, making eye contact with him."Oh, well, tell her I'm sincerely sorry about it. I don't want to be rude to the wrong lot," He said. "It's Alright, honestly," I said while patting my arm against his shoulder. "Thanks." He said while shrugging off my arm from his shoulder.
