CHAPTER ONE

Chapter-1

Alexa was raised Manic. Manic is the MC that her dad dedicated his life to, literally. She grew up with the knowledge that a female within the Manic MC was either an Old Lady or Tail. Tail meaning the women and even girls that wanted to be old ladies and tried everything they could to get that status. It normally turned out bad for the Tail. They would get used up and tossed aside and Alexa's dad wanted more for her. Hell, she wanted more for herself. Therefore, she is at the end of her final semester and graduating from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor's in Art & Design. From there she planned on doing her apprenticeship at Manic Ink, which her dad owns. It's attached to the Manic MC shop, but that business is owned by her dad Judge and his MC brother Rock, who also happens to be the MC Prez.

Judge is an honest man. He is loyal to the MC and to his brothers, but most of all he is loyal to his daughter. Judge is an amazing father, after Alexa's mother died in a freak auto accident when she was 10 years old her father ensured that home life was home life and MC life was MC Life. Being that Old Ladies and their children typically were not in the know about the MC business this wasn't a hard task. Judge loved his daughter and because of that he did not shelter her from the world around her.

He involved her in the MC family functions. Alexa didn't involve herself in the MC life other than the family cookouts or outings. Don't get it wrong, she cared for the people within the MC, but she didn't have a need to be involved. She had a temper and if she saw things go down that was disrespectful to a woman or kid, she had no problem dishing out words and throwing down if she needed to get her point across. She also had no desire getting involved with member of the Manic MC or someone from any other MC for that matter. All she wanted was to finish school and her apprenticeship, and work at Manic Ink.

Alexa would travel back and forth from school on Friday after her final class and return to school Monday morning so she could attend afternoon classes. When driving back and forth to school she drove a Cherry Red Dodge Ram 2500, she loved that truck. That truck had a lot of miles and memories good and bad. It was older, but a strong build. She called her Rose for no other reason than she liked it. Her father was always concerned with her getting stuck in the snow somewhere in the hills of South Dakota or even on the byways when there were white out conditions. So of course, every weekend he would check out her first aid kit, jumper cords, emergency survival tac, and the normal liquid and tire check. Alexa loved her father and he showed her that he loved her in every way a father could. He thought of all her needs and how to make her have an informative but happy life. With that said, her father taught her how to shoot both guns and bow. If she only knew that her life was about to change forever, she would have tried to learn more.

She was a natural with a gun. Her preference was a Ruger 9mm, but she used a Smith & Weston 380 when she concealed and carried. They never went hunting it was more of a tactical survival training that her father had her practice. You could say it was a flight or fight training and they never fled. Her father never served in the military but let's just say back in the day he became very familiar with guns and everything you need to know about guns. He also taught her how to ride. He taught her the ins and outs of the bike. How to repair and keep up the maintenance to ensure your ride was always safe and ready.

In the Manic MC and in general many other MC, the brother's Old Ladies did not have their own ride, they rode on the back of their man's bike. This was not only a display of their relationship, but also a display of respect and commitment from the Old Ladies to their man. Alexa vowed that she would never ride on the back of any man's bike. Well, she thought she wouldn't until she met a certain Viking of a man that turned her world upside. Alexa being neither an old lady nor a member of the MC she had her own ride. When she was in town from school you never caught her in her truck if the weather was good. She would ride her 2016 Harley Davidson Street Bob when the Manic MC rallied around special functions, show of respect to a fallen brother, or to let loose and feel the freedom of the road on her soul. I know the Bob sounds a little masculine, but her Bob was a Bobbie and her father made sure that it had all the bells and whistles it needed.

She was her father's daughter. Judge always told her that she was as beautiful as her mother Karen Larson or also known in the Manic MC world as Pixie. Her mom carried her nickname from before she met dad. From what I learned through bits and pieces of conversations, mom's family lived in Montana and her dad was part of a MC there. They never spoke about it outside of the home and when Alexa asked her mom about her dad, mom would always say that it was in the past.

Alexa liked knowing that she looked like her mom. Dad would say that she had the most beautiful emerald green eyes with a hint of gold flaking which flared when she was passionate about something, and when she was mad her eyes almost looked like an obsidian black. She always found this funny, because obsidian was a black glass created by volcanic lava that cools quickly. She found this ironic, but she had a temper that flared in a blink of any eye but could cool down just as quickly. Her mother and her shared this eye coloring and both shared their moods to the world, but the color they changed too. Her father joked about knowing her mother's mood as soon as he walked in the front door by just the coloring of her eyes. He had said that there were many of times that he came in walking through the front door and before he set foot past the entrance of the house she was there with those obsidian black eyes and with his foot never hitting the ground he would turn around and head to his work shop out back.

Pixie was loved by everyone and her name fit her. She had a slim heart shaped face with eyes that were round and displayed her emotions. She was only about 5'4 with a curvy but petite frame and her hair was an onyx black coloring. The years she was alive her love and passion for her family and the Manic MC was true and loyal. So, when her death happened it came to no surprise when every Manic MC brother, old lady, surrounding MC, and even the Tails showed up to her funeral. She was loved not only by Alexa and her father, but by everyone that came within a mile of her.

Alexa's father had always stated that she was her mother's daughter in heart, soul, and looks. But he saw himself in her when it came to ambition, determination, and temperament. So, with Alexa and Judge sharing the same temperament they did not always see eye to eye, but there was a mutual respect and Alexa never displayed anything other than a loyal devoted daughter whenever the MC was around. They shared a bond and passion for so many things and they enjoyed their life, even though a big part of their heart and soul was no longer with them.
