Chapter 1: Runaway.

"We still don't know its origin, at this rate thousands of Inklings will be getting it daily," Callie said and then stared down. "Sorry Gramps." That was the last word she said for a while.

"I don't know what to say," he shrugged. "Kiddo's, you're the best and I don't know what to do if you can't solve it."

"There has got to be something else! Some other ways we can solve it," Marie started desperately.

Gramps put his hand on Marie's shoulder, "You kiddos have been out for six months tring to stop this, and frankly, it's getting too big". He stared at the wall. "Sorry but you two will be quarantined until this is over."

"What!" Marie swiped off his hand, backing away. "No, just give us one more day! Right Callie?" She ran over and squeezed Callies shoulder. "Right?!"

"Kiddo's there is nothing else you can do. Marie, I am sorry, but I can't let you keep going out!"

Marie' s lip trembled, "You should be sorry!" Marie stormed out and into her room slamming the door.

Gramps walked over to his leather couch, fell onto it and sighed, rubbing his temples. Callie went back into her room slowly closing the door, that wasn't normal for her.

He stared at the wall for a while, he hated doing that to them. His Grandsquids seemed to be drifting farther and farther away from him. He smiled remembering the happy days, they were so cute back then, and so close to him. He remembered that day after they won the folk singing contest. He had got them gigantic bowls of ice cream and they spent the night at his house, waking up at 12:00 and barfing up the tremendous amount of candy he had given them. They were inseparable, a perfect picture of BFF's. They had already fixed there decaying relationship after it took a turn a few years ago… How was he going to fix his? He didn't want Callie to be kidnapped again, but part of him argued that that's how they fixed the deep crack broken by Maries gaining fame. No, he wouldn't do that, he couldn't do it, right?

Callie laid in her bed staring restlessly at her dotted ceiling. She felt a slow breeze, but somehow it mixed up her feelings even more. How could she let it get like this. A pink tear falling down her already tearstained face. She could hear Marie sobbing in the other room; she wanted to comfort Marie but she was barely not sobbing herself and from past experience, she knew that would end up with Marie just mad at her. She was so focused on this that she did not notice she was drifting off to sleep.

"Callie," Octavio smiled. "You are going to destroy inkopolis, your cousin and all your friends." He smirked, "And it's all your fault!".

Marie heard a scream from the other room,

"Callie!" she shrieked, grabbing her charger. Her hair was messy from her pulling at her tentacles. She burst into the living room, Gramps was asleep on the couch she growled how could he be asleep like this? Knowonder Callie got captured last time, she threw open the door

to Callie's room falling into it! Callie was fine, she was fine, just fine. "Don't ever do that to me again!" Marie yelled, "Thank Cod you're okay."

Callie looked away, "I could have destroyed everything." she whispered.

Marie took Callie's face in her hands, "But you didn't." She turned Callie's to her. She was pale, paler than normal. Her lip curled in and Marie hugged Callie, as both of them broke into tears. "But you didn't," she whispered.

"Please?" Marie pleaded.

"I donno," Worried Callie. "We are going to destroy gramps if we do this."

"I know you want this, Callie," Marie sighed. "If you want to, I can leave a note."

"Alright." Still everything in Callie told her this wasn't right, but that feeling was competing with guilt, guilt for not stopping this when it started, and that guilt was winning against staying. Because if she stayed she was worried that guilt would never leave.

Marie pulled out a piece of paper from one of Callie's blinding bright pink cabinets, she recessed the urge to barf, Green was a much better color, and she looked around the room, this place was covered in pink, and she meant covered. Pink walls, floor, bedsheets, stuffed animals, cabinets, air conditioning, closite, and many more. The only green colored things, the best color in the world in her opinion, were Callie's green pillows (Marie had pink pillows in her room), her green amiibo of Marie, and her green plushy of Marie. Callie had tried to dye the plushy's tentacles pink, but gladly Marie had caught her before she put the dye in. Marie picked up a Fushia pink pen sticking out her tongue.

"That's my favorite Pen," Calle chirped over to her, "Isn't it beautiful?"

"Eww!" said Marie.

"Come on, Marie, you just have to accept that pink is prettier than green, and that I got pink first." She put her hands on her hips.

Marie smirked,"You think that green is not pretty?!"

"Just Saying," Callie giggled "Pink is better!"

"You're calling on the Green Monster!" Marie announced,

"Oh no!" Callie said in a pretend yell for help.

Marie stuck out her hands

"Green Monster, must spread green," she said in a zombie-like way,

She ran at Callie in a playing sort of way, her hands hit the wall as Callie doged. She turned around to Callie who was standing at her cabinet, Marie ran at her and Callie doged again, but Marie fell onto the cabinet, saying ow.

"Are you okay?!" Callie Practically flew over, Hehe got you Marie thought.

"Green monster has got you!" Marie yelled, launching herself onto Callie and taking her to the ground, they both erupted into laughter. Marie's eyes were filled with happy tears.

"I missed you." Callie commented,

"Yeah me too," said Marie lifting herself from their position on the awfully pink carpet where she and her cousin laid. Callie was silent as she scribbled out the letter telling Gramps what they were about to do.

"I'll get my stuff, you go into the kitchen and grab some food."

"Yeah...ok." Callie shifted uncomfortably and moved out of the room.

Marie made her way to her very messy room compared to Callie's room, which is perfect and organized. It was too stressful cleaning up to the extent Callie did, and truthfully she just did not have enough time. She lazily punched open her door and rummaged through the ocean of stuff in her closet, upon finding her Agent suit, she remembered she left her charger in Callies room. She grabbed a bag and made her way back to the room she had previously ascended from. Callie was already there with all of the her stuff packed in a, yet again, PINK bag.

Marie stared at her . "You ready?" she asked.

Callie sighed, "Ready as I'll ever be."

Gramps woke up with a jolt and decided to talk to Marie, he checked the time, just to make sure that it had been a few hours. He walked over to her door and knocked on it gently, but as he touched it, it swung open. Her Closet was open hordes of forgotten stuff pouring out. She must be in Callie's room. He opened Callies door to see no one was there. There was a note on the desk, he read it and he covered his mouth

"Oh My Squids!"
