Hey everyone! That's right, it's the start of NaWen Week! Unfortunately, I wasn't unable to start it yesterday, but because of that I'll just make the last day May 31st instead of May 30th. So that's the new deadline if you want to participate. But anyway, here's one of my contributions to NaWen Week! Hope you guys all enjoy it!

"So, why'd you call us all out here, Gramps?" Natsu asked, sitting on a log in the grassy backyard of the Fairy Tail guild.

"Yeah, I was in the middle of taking a nap," Gray said before letting out a yawn. "I had to rush just to get ready."

"Hush you two and listen to what the master has to say," Erza ordered them in a strict voice that caused them to instantly stand at attention.

"Y-Yes Ma'am!"

"Now that I have your attention," Makarov started, trying his best to contain his pleased voice. "The reason I have called you all out here is because we have recently received a notice from the King of Fiore."

"From the king?!" Natsu asked in shock.

Erza raised an eyebrow, slightly interested at that fact. "Hm, I wonder what he could want from us. Is there some kind of danger happening in Crocus?"

Makarov shook his head, "No, it's nothing that serious. However, it is important. Much like the guild exchange program, this has been requested of all the top guilds from this year's Grand Magic Games." He stroked his beard as he went on. "You see they want us to pick two wizards to do a baby simulation."

"A baby simulation?" Gray asked in confusion.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Wendy asked walking up to Makarov.

"It means that you take care of this baby doll and raise it as if it were your own" Makarov took out a small plastic doll to show the guild.

"Awww, it's so cute," Wendy said while bringing her clasped hands up to her cheek.

Mira nodded in agreement, It really is an adorable little thing, isn't it?"

"I'll say," Erza chimed in, a small smile on her face.

"So, who wants to be the lucky pair?" Makarov asked, looking around at all his children.

However, he was met with nothing but chirping crickets as the guild members all looked around aimlessly, not wanting to participate in the project. "I'll do it if you do, darling," Juvia spoke up, eyeing Gray's shirtless body.

"I'll pass, thanks…"

"Well, somebody has to do it," Makarov informed them all. "I suppose we can just draw names out of a hat."

Everyone was against that idea as well, however Makarov went with it anyway since something had to be done about this conundrum. "Alright, is everybody ready?" The old guild master asked. Of course, he was met with silence yet again. Then, he began to shake the hat around before blindly drawing out two slips of paper. "And our parents will be…Natsu and Wendy!"

"Huh?!" Wendy shouted out at that revelation. Her name had been chosen along with Natsu's? That meant that they would be raising a baby together, didn't it? Her face heated up just thinking about that fact. Even though it was just a baby doll, this was something that she had always dreamed of, though she'd never dreamed it possible. Still, she was completely overjoyed that she would finally get to live her dream, however brief it may be.

"Well, I don't really play with dolls," Natsu admitted. "But I'm glad that Wendy is my partner at least. Instead of Gajeel or that snowman."

"Here you go," Makarov said as he handed the baby doll to Natsu. Then, he turned to Wendy, a serious look on his face. "Wendy…"

"Uh, yes sir?!" Wendy stood at attention, finally snapping out of her thoughts about what it would be like to have a family with her beloved Natsu.

"Make sure that Natsu doesn't burn it."

"Right," Wendy nodded with a small smile. "You got it."

"H-Hey! I ain't gonna burn it!" Natsu protested, a bit irked at Makarov's assumption.

"Mhm…" Makarov didn't give Natsu anything else but that unconvinced response before he headed back into the guild hall.

"Ha, good luck, dragon breath," Gray said, slapping Natsu on the back before walking away. The other guild members followed suit, relived that they were spared from having to take care of the baby doll. And soon enough, Natsu and Wendy were alone in the yard.

"So, how do we work this thing?" Natsu pondered in confusion as he shook the baby upside-down.

"Natsu, be careful," Wendy warned him in a gentle tone.

"But it's not doing anything…I don't get it."

"Maybe there's a switch or something?" Wendy suggested. "Can I see?"

"Sure, here you go." Natsu handed the doll over to Wendy.

As she took the doll from Natsu, their hands grazed against each other's. The rough and warm sensation from Natsu's hand traversed onto hers. She couldn't help but get a little giddy feeling at that. Wendy searched around the baby doll's body, looking for any sort of switch or button that might turn it on.

"I don't see anything," she said in disappointment.

Natsu rubbed his chin in thought, "Maybe it's in the diaper?"

Wendy thought about that for a minute. He had a point, but honestly, she didn't really want to have to search the baby's diaper considering that she didn't even know what gender it was supposed to be yet.

She shook her head. No…if she was going to be a mother one day, then this was the perfect test for her. She couldn't back down from this challenge, no matter what. And so, steeling her nerves, she slowly began to undo the baby's diaper. Before she knew it, Wendy had turned her head away.

"What's wrong, Wendy?" Natsu asked, tilting his head.

"I-It's nothing," she said as she turned back to face the baby, as drawn out as it was. Looking down at the baby's bottom with a flustered face, the young sky dragon finally got her answer. "It's a boy…" She heaved a sigh of relief, happy that all of that was now over. "Why did they have to make this thing so real?"

"Who knows?" Natsu rested his arms behind his head. "Anyway, do you want to stay at my place for a while?"

"Wendy's face flashed red at Natsu's suggestion. "R-really?! Why?" Her heart jabbed furiously at her chest as she thought about living together with Natsu. Her brain danced around in her head so much that Wendy started to get dizzy.

"So we can take care of the baby together."

Oh right, that disappointed thought instantly ran through her mind. Still, she put on a gleaming smile as she accepted Natsu's offer, "Of course, thanks Natsu!"

"Well, let's get going then," Natsu said, placing his hand on Wendy's head.

A pleasant feeling coursed through Wendy's body as Natsu gently patted her head. She couldn't help but let out a small giggle. Natsu's hand being on her head always made her feel so safe and secure, it was a very comforting homely feeling.

"Yeah. I'm looking forward to spending this month with you, Natsu."

A huge grin crossed over his face. "Same here, we're gonna have a blast! I'm sure me and you will be the best parents out of all the other guilds!" Natsu folded his arms and nodded profoundly at that.

Thanks to Natsu's proclamation, Wendy's face had lit up like wildfire again as her thoughts had swept her away to dreamland. Dreaming about what a future with Natsu would be like.

"Hey Wendy, you alright?" Natsu asked, cocking his head a bit.

"Y-Yeah! I'm fine!" Wendy frantically waved her hands around as she was pulled out of her wonderful daydream. "Anyway, let's get going!" Natsu was still confused about why Wendy was freaking out so much stared at her for a good couple of minutes. "Um…Natsu?" Wendy did her best to avoid making eye contact with Natsu as he continued scanning her face. "Hello?"

"Are you feeling okay, Wendy?" Natsu asked, his voice rife with concern.

"Of course I am," Wendy answered him, a slight blush creeping up on her face. "Why'd you ask that?"

"I don't know…You just seem…really on edge." He got even closer to her face to the point where their noses were nearly touching. "Can I feel your forehead?"

"H-Huh?!"

Without waiting for Wendy to compose herself, Natsu began to lean in closer to the bluenette's face, placing his hand atop her small forehead. Her blue locks dangled over the back of his hand as he felt the heat emanating from Wendy's forehead.

"Wow, Wendy, you're really hot. Do you have a fever or something?"

Wendy too absorbed by the Natsu's hand gently rubbing her forehead was unable to respond and locked in a daze. The thudding of her heart returned with a vengeance yet again. Natsu's dreamy eyes looking straight into her eyes made her feel like she was going crazy. Her brain was doing laps inside of her head as Natsu's nose just barely touched hers.

"N-No," Wendy said, finally answering Natsu's question.

"Are you sure?" Natsu asked, peering even deeper into his fellow dragon slayer's eyes.

"Y-yeah, I'm sure."

"If you say so…" At that, Natsu pulled away from Wendy and took his hand off of her forehead. "But just let me know if you're not feeling good, alright?"

Wendy slowly nodded, "Okay, I'll do that."

"Glad to hear it!" Natsu gave her a wide smile, putting his teeth on full display. "Alright, let's head over to my place and we can figure out what to do with our baby."

Their baby? Wendy thought ran wild like a mongoose as she thought about that. Once again, fuzzy warm feelings spread all throughout her insides as she was whisked away to daydream world. She quickly managed to snap herself out of it by shaking her head however.

"Okay…" She replied, coming back to her senses. And so, the two dragon slayers walked off, not noticing the baby doll's glowing eyes.
