King- Luciano Vargas (2p Italy)
the most trusted knights- Lutz and Gilen Beildschmidt
Subjects- the people who were ruled by a King or Queen
"Thief!" "Traitor!" "Death to the King!" Those were the furious shout of his beloved subject through the whole castle. Everything happened so fast, his once peaceful kingdom has fallen into chaos caused by his own people. He looks through the balcony to find that his subjects were armed with rakes, pitchfork and some of them were holding a sword that comes from the castle guards they killed in order to barge into the castle. On this day his fate was already decided, the fate he did not deserve.
He was accused of the things he did not commit. There were rumors about him using the funds of his people for his own benefits only and that he's the one who ordered to kill those innocent people who fight for justice. He was labeled as the King in disguise who backstabbed his own people when no one is watching.
He hears a cry of "stop!" and "Let go of me" behind so he immediately turns around to find his brother being dragged by the knights forcefully. He quickly runs into his brother's side holding into one of the knight's arms. "Please he has nothing to do with this, he's innocent" The king begged. The knight paid him no mind and continue to drag his brother away. The King clutch his brother like his own life depends on it, this action makes the knight irritated so he pushes the King harshly on the ground. He can only watch in horror as his brother was being dragged to face the fate he did not deserve. The king's hard interior was cracked as tears were threatening to fall into his eyes but he would not let them see that he's defeated. He got lifted up by his two most trusted Knights holding both of his arms securely so he will not escape. "I'm sorry my King" both of his trusted knights stated. These two knights are the ones who stand with him from the start and stay in his side at worst. The king stared at them "Don't be it is not your fault, you are the only loyal people that I have, I want you to be strong and don't let my death stand in your way of bringing justice" He assured.
The Knights led him away into the castle grounds and on the way of his journey, the King looked at the nobles who were watching him with contempt. He shouldn't have trusted them. They are the ones who spread those vicious rumors about him. They manage to make the people believe in them with false evidence. Those people who confess saying that they are victims of the King's cruelty were paid with gold to tell malicious lies about him.
Once they were outside the castle the King was greeted by the rioting crowd. Pieces of trash were thrown at him such as rotten foods but what hurt him the most are their words. "Traitor!" "Monster!" Those are the very people who praise him and show gratitude and support towards him for years of his reign. They are the ones who made him a King and now they will be the ones who will drag him to his demise. He was a knight before being a King, he brings many victories in their kingdom however this is the battle he's unable to win. He cannot afford to blame them. They are also victims of those nobles who are greedy for power.
The King close his eyes momentarily and take a deep breath before raising his head up high. He is taught that the King must show no sign of weaknesses in any circumstances, he must remain strong until the very end however every step he takes leave a piece of shell from his emotionless façade, his feet were getting heavy as he near in the guillotine that is standing in the middle of the courtyard, the blade was shining proudly against the sunlight.
A piece of small rock was thrown around the King and it hits his head to the side, crimson blood begins to seep out from the wound. He winces for a bit but he shows no emotions of hurt in his eyes. The two knights that escort him immediately rise up their shield to cover him from all the things that were thrown at him. The king put his hands into the Knights soldiers to gain their attention and then he shakes his head in disapproval "Don't, they will kill anyone who stands on my side, I don't want to lose anyone important to me anymore" The knights will protest but The King beat them to it "I am no longer your King to protect" He stated since he is no longer their King the moment his subject drew a weapon against him. He proceeds to walk gracefully. The people look at him with hatred burning in their eyes and was fueled more when he shows no sign of weakness. They spit in front of the King showing there is no more respect that was left for him. There is no place for forgiveness anymore, his people want him to pay for all the sins he did not commit with his blood. They want him dead and nothing can stop them.
The crowd roared into cheers when the King reached the guillotine. The two knights look at him failing to hide their sorrow "You don't deserve this" the knight on his left side express. "Everything happened for a reason, my death will serve as a purpose" The King replied that sent confusion into his knights.
The King faces the crowd observing their facial expression. He can already predict that they will cheer and celebrate for his death. He stand straight on the platform with his chin and head raised up high "Remember this day onward, the truth will eventually come and you will regret everything that has been done" His voice was looming over the crowd "And don't ever ask for forgiveness as I already forgave all of you" Those were the last words their former King Luciano left. The crowd scowl at him taking his words as lies. They continue to chant about his death.
The King removes his crown and hands it over to his knight who is hesitant to take it away from him. "My King these people are misled by misinformation they need your enlightenment. Prove them that you are worthy of wearing that crown upon your head" his knight pleaded for one last time. "It's too late to defend my side, these people are already blinded by hatred" The king explained.
Everyone turned silent as the King kneel down in front of them positioning his head in the guillotine accepting his fate without complaint. He is willing to die in order to tend the raging heart of his people. He close his eyes letting those emotions he concealed for years fall into the form of tears. He simply wants what is good for everyone however there are people all over the world who want to be above everyone so here is being executed so those greedy men will take his place as a king.
The executioner swiftly cuts the rope that is preventing the blade from falling. Blood pools around the guillotine. Everyone's breath hitched for a moment before the crowd suddenly erupts into cheers of happiness. The two knights can only stare at their King's cold lifeless body with tears streaming down in their faces.
