A/N: I've re-watched Seasons 1 and 2 of Cobra Kai about 3 times and seen Season 3 once. And I had an idea, what if Kreese had relatives, specifically (at least) a grandson? I'm starting from Season 1 because putting Jason (Kreese) as an OC into Season 3 would be kind of a weird jump for me to make.

The Visit

Being a teenager is hard, especially if a teenager has had the life that Jason Kreese has. He's a (for now) 15 years old juvenile delinquent about 5 months or so into a 6-month stint in juvenile detention/juvie who had been bounced around group homes since he was around 7 or 8. Will he take the opportunities presented to him to change? Or will he stay the same?

"Kreese! You've got a visitor!" Jason could hear, and see, a guard calling him over to a table where an older man was sitting.

Jason was 15, but he would be turning 16 in a couple of weeks. He was around 6'1" and was muscular in a lean sort of way. He also had short dirty blonde hair. And he was wearing blue sweatpants and a white long-sleeved shirt with SJDC on the back along with black shoes that had no laces.

Everybody who wasn't visiting or a guard was dressed exactly the same.

Jason sat down across from the person who came to visit him. "Who the hell are you?"

"Terry Silver. And I just happen to be a friend of your grandfather's." Silver introduced himself with a slight smile.

Jason raised an eyebrow at that statement. "But he didn't show up? Which is why you're here, right?"

"I'm here because I want to make you an offer. You can get out of here in a couple of weeks and go back to your life or…." Silver began.

Jason interrupted him. "Or I can take whatever offer you're about to make me?"

"You took the words right out of my mouth. I can give you the key to your own home and whatever else you might want. I owe your grandfather that much." Silver answered.

Jason was understandably sceptical. "And I don't have to do anything for you in return?"

"Not as such." Silver replied.

Jason frowned. "I've been in this kind of situation before. And I kind of know people who've been in this kind of situation and were forced into stuff they weren't comfortable with."

"I'm not going to force you into anything you're not comfortable with." Silver quickly reassured him.

Jason nodded. "So, what do you want me to do?"

"I want you to watch and wait. You'll have an opportunity to change your life in a couple of weeks and you need to be ready for it." Silver was being kind of cryptic.

Jason put his hands on the table. "So, you're not going to tell me what it is?"

"You're a bright kid. You'll figure it out." Silver smiled.

Jason had another question to ask. "So, where is he?"

"Your grandfather? That's for me to know. But he is around. If that's what you're asking." Silver replied.

Jason sighed. "If you don't want to tell me where he is, then that's fine. I'm kind of used to not having him around."

"Let me know if you need anything." Silver turned to a guard as if to say that the visit was over.

Jason watched as Silver left.

He had something to look forward to in the next few weeks that wasn't more uncertainty.

Maybe things could change?
