Chapter 1: Welcome to Toku Town!
The sounds of snoring filled the bedroom of what looked like an ordinary house. However, a new sound rang through the air. Namely the beeping of the sleeper's alarm clock. Rustling came from beneath the covers of the bed as a stubby arm tapped the alarm clock's snooze button before shutting off the device. The bed's occupant slowly rose from beneath the sheets. Their awakening causing the covers to fall of them. Said occupant being revealed as a chibi Godzilla.
"Hmm. Another morning." Godzilla muttered to himself as he stretched. "Well, time to get to work." Godzilla wasted no time heading to the kitchen, brewing a pot of coffee, and pouring himself a cup in his favorite mug that had a nuclear symbol on it. A peaceful smile on his face as he drank it. Said peace was soon shattered by what sounded like a rooster crowing.
"And that would be Rodan acting as the whole neighborhood's alarm clock." Godzilla grumbled as he opened the nearest window and poked his head out of it. "RODAN WOULD YOU CUT THAT OUT?!"
"Sorry!" Rodan crowed out from his perch on a telephone line. "I'll stop! I don't wanna get fried extra crispy!"
'At least it wasn't the giant condor.' Godzilla thought as he downed the rest of his coffee before heading out the door. 'Better get going now.'
Once he was outside, Godzilla tucked his tail between his legs before squatting and using his atomic breath to fly himself over to his work. When he landed, a miniature of a city stood before him.
"Okay. Let's do this!" Godzilla rolled his shoulders before letting out his famous roar! "SKREEEONNNGGK!"
An instant later, Godzilla was doing what he did best. Smash cities, stomp through the streets, and roar his lungs out. At least, until the bell rang for his break.
"Whew." Godzilla wiped his brow before popping open a bottle of water. "Trashing cities takes a lot out of a kaiju. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy my work! Plus, it'll look even better in the finished feature!" Godzilla's musings were then interrupted by his stomach growling.
"Can't smash well on an empty stomach." Godzilla muttered to himself. Seeking out means to satisfy his colossal appetite, he happened upon a ramen stand. "Ah! Perfect!" Godzilla wasted no time placing his order as he took a seat.
"One kaiju-sized ramen, please!" Godzilla said with a grin.
"Godzilla? Is that you?" A familiar voice called out. Godzilla turned to his right and smiled when he saw Ultraman landing right next to him!
"Hey Ultraman!" Godzilla greeted. "You on lunch break too?"
"Yep. Just got done meeting the latest member of the Ultra Warriors." Ultraman nodded. "The new kid's named Z. It's always nice to see a new edition to the series. Speaking of next generations, how'd your son doing?"
"Junior's doing well." Godzilla nodded with a proud smile. "He said one day he'll challenge Gomora for the title of Prince of the Monsters."
"It only makes sense given he's the son of a king!" Ultraman chuckled. "Hmm. I wonder if the Riders and Sentai will be joining us."
Ultraman soon received an answer as both he and Godzilla heard a motorcycle approaching. Sure enough, Kamen Rider Ichigo pulled up on his trusty motorcycle Cyclone.
"TOH!" Ichigo shouted as he leaped from his motorcycle and landed at the seat next to Godzilla! "Greetings fellow legends!"
"Good to see you Ichigo." Ultraman nodded. "What've you been up too lately?"
"Keeping an eye on the new rider, 01." Ichigo answered before placing his order. "I'll have what they're having. The new kid brought back the insect motif. In fact, he even called me 'Grandpa Ichigo' once!"
"You've been around long enough to be one!" Godzilla chuckled. It wasn't long before the cook brought out three enormous bowls of ramen! "Huh. I thought someone from the Super Sentai would be joining us."
"They're busy checking their mecha." Ichigo answered. "They have to pay extra attention to the mecha based on animals. Those ones tend to be a bit wild around maintenance time. Or worse, when they have to go to the vet."
"Glad Anguirus doesn't have to worry about anything like that." Godzilla said with a sigh of relief. "But enough talking! It's chow time!"
"THANKS FOR THE FOOD!" All three exclaimed in unison as they clapped their hands together before digging in! Minutes later, the bowls were empty and all three of the tokusatsu legends were patting their filled bellies.
"It was nice to meet up like this." Godzilla said as he paid for his meal. "We should have one massive get-together at some point."
"That sounds like a plan to me." Ultraman nodded as he took out some money to pay for his food as well. "I think Seven's boy Zero would make fast friends with your son."
"Riders and Sentai usually have our own get-togethers." Ichigo scratched his chin as he paid. "I'll inform them of the idea. Hopefully all our schedules can align for a party that large."
"Well, if not then, we've always got lunch together." Godzilla grinned. "See you guys in a day or two!"
And with that, the legendary figures returned to their daily work. Be it smashing miniatures of cities, patrolling the city streets, or soaring through the stars and skies. Some might have wondered why the characters were in chibi form and why characters from different series would meet and interact. Well, this is no ordinary city that they inhabit. Welcome to Toku Town!
