Jake Pov

We were waiting for the new captain. I mean I'm cool, cool cool cool cool cool cool cool. It's not like the only father-y figure I've had in my life just walked out the door. I heard the new captain wasn't entirely-…? *ding*

That's the elevator.

Amy POV

Oh god, the new captain was here! I mean of course I miss Captain Holt immensely, but I had to make a good impression on the new captain.

A loud ding interrupted my thoughts, resonating through the 99. Here they come.

The doors opened, and a woman came out, her curly blonde hair in a low plaited bun, her stormy grey eyes evaluating us all, she looked like she lived in the sun. She had an extreme tan and walked with a slight limp, clearly not causing her any pain, almost as if a previous injury was still haunting her.

Her scrutinising gaze landed on me, I straightened my posture and put my chin up a bit higher looking back into her terrifying eyes. She smiled at me, only slightly, the small twitch in her jaw gave her away.

"And you name?" The new Captain asked. Chase, I think it was.

"Amy Santiago, Si- I mean Ma'am"

She nodded lightly and moved her gaze to Terry, her gaze softened slightly seeing the nervous smile on his face, she had a slight look in her eye, almost... fondness?

"Terry Jeffords, I presume?" She asked, raising her eyebrow slightly.

"Yes Ma'am!" His voice going slightly higher than normal. He cleared his throat and blushed slightly. She smiled lightly at him and spoke to everyone else asking about their names, gave us a quick briefing, introduced herself and told us to get to work.

(A/N) Hey guys, I know it's been a while but I couldn't think of a chapter for Troubled so I wrote this, I just found it in my notes on my phone so I thought I give a little write, anyway MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR BITCHES! How is everyone, what'd you get for Christmas?

Anyway I know this is a short chapter but hopefully it'll kick start my brain...
