Disclaimer: Hi, this is my first FanFiction. I am not that good at writing. So please don't hate me for how I am writing this fic.
Summary: This story is about one of Eli's cousin who is having a Bar Mitzvah (Boy coming of age in the Jewish religion). This is the first time that Clare would be meeting his family. This takes place at the beginning of season 12, during rehearsals for "Romeo & Jules." (There will be some Yiddish and Hebrew words or prayers in this story. I will put Asterix around them and explain at the end of each chapter.)
Chapter 1
On an early Saturday morning, everyone in the Goldsworthy household is awake, except for one Goldsworthy. Eli. He does not like waking up at 7:00 AM.
As he is about to roll over to his other side, his father opens his bedroom door.
"Rise from the dead, kiddo. Time to get after. We have to be at the synagogue at exactly 9:00 AM. Plus, we have to pick up Clare before."
Eli says as he's smiling, "Well, good morning to you too, dad."
As Eli starts to get ready, he pulls out a suit outfit that his grandmother would approve. He wants everything to be perfect. Since this is the first time, he will be introducing his girlfriend, Clare, to his family.
Eli trying to tie his tie around his neck, Bullfrog walks back in. "Here, let me help you, son."
Eli smiles. "Thanks, dad. How do you know how to tie? I never seen you wear one."
Bullfrog sighs. "When I was younger, my father, your *Zeyde* always made me wear ties every time we went synagogue." Chuckling. "I hated wearing them. They were too tight for my liking."
Eli is smiling, "I can see that."
As Bullfrog finishing pulling the tie just right, "There."
Eli walks over to the mirror and sighs. His father right behind him. "Are you ok, son?"
Eli says, "Yea. I'm just.. nervous about *Bubbe* meeting Clare, that's all. I want her to like Clare and accept her."
Bullfrog reassuring Eli, "Your bubbe would Clare. Heck, we love her so much that we let her stay over."
Eli looks at his dad. "Don't say that to Bubbe. I don't think she would like that."
Bullfrog is thinking about what he just said. "Yea. Your right." Pats his son on his back. " Come on, kiddo, we gotta go pick up Clare."
As Bullfrog heads out of Eli's room, Eli checks himself in the mirror one last time before closing his bedroom door.
As Eli is heading downstairs, his mother is waiting for him in their living room. She's dressed in a long, white, flowing skirt with a black blouse and a matching jacket. Cece looks towards her son. "Wow, looking sharp, Eli." She exclaimed.
Eli smiles and says. "Thanks, mom. I want to look good around the family."
Cece walks over to him. "You always look good. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise
Bullfrog grabs the keys to his car. "Let's hit the road. We can't miss Benjamin's reading."
All three of them leave their house and head to Bullfrog's car. Bullfrog drives on off to go pick up Clare.
