Fury intently stared at the screen in front of him something struck him to his core as he looked over the interview Romanoff was conducting with Commander Carrol, the Commander for his part was rather calm dealing with SHIELD, after all he had actually heard of the agency before but he never imagined he would see something they were after.
"Run it by me, one more time Commander" Natasha spoke with a curious tone, almost like she couldn't believe what she was hearing "So this man, lead a crew of trapped oil workers onto the helipad and then he…." she stopped allowing the man to speak, his tone shifted to a flustered one as he clasped his hands together and let out a sigh "That man-" he choked, sure whatever he saw couldn't have been a man. "That thing, jumped across the pad and held the entire rig up with his bare hands" he sighed looking down in disbelief, sure the woman sat across the table wouldn't believe her.
Nat for her part nodded and leaned back "How long did he hold it up?" she asked curiously as she leaned back to which Carrol spoke up quickly "Long as we needed him to, if h- it hadn't done what it did everyone from the rig workers to the pilots wouldn't be here today" he said shaking his head before grabbing his cap and standing up "Agent Romanoff if you find this thing, tell Nick to be careful" he grumbled before leaving the room and left to be escorted off base as Nat leaned back in the chair and let out a sigh before looking up at the camera "Get all of that?" she asked Fury before standing up, making her way down the hall to meet her boss who seemed unnerved.
"Carrol said the same thing everyone else who was there that day did, 'cept for the workers who claimed he broke their bulk head door down while on fire" Fury almost chuckled, a glimmer of disbelief crossing his face "I want to find him, bring him in for questioning" The Director spoke curiously as he turned in his chair to his best agent who had a subdued smirk on her face "And if he doesn't want to be brought in?" The Redhead asked slyly, sure that this ghost wouldn't be subdued by a handgun or a tactical team.
Fury grinned and nodded "You've got a persuasive personality, put it to use" He smirked "If he's a candidate for the Initiative extend an olive branch" Natasha completed his thought as she left Fury to look over the other potential candidates, Steve Rogers still adjusting, Dark Knight to be approached with caution, Bruce Banner to be approached with caution, Webslinger confirmed, Tony Stark consulting, Clint Barton confirmed, Natasha Romanoff confirmed, and Thor missing, Godkiller missing, Angel being looked into ….so far only four of them were locked in and that did not sit right with the Director.
Natasha was busy canvasing the world looking for a Joe, John, Calvin...whoever this guy was he went by basic names and wasn't much for sticking around as she seemed to find each story more incredible than the last of course the oil rig, then a tractor trailer in Alaska found wrapped around a tree, a man stepped in front of a train to stop it from crushing a family on a road trip and according to the eye witness reports the train bounced off of him. The stories were fascinating but Natasha found one that could help shed some light on earths guardian angel which brought her to Smallville Kansas to meet with a man who was in a near fatal bus accident twenty years ago.
"Pete Ross? I'm Natalie Rushman with the Daily Bugle could I have a word with you about a bus accident thirty years ago" She spoke pointedly, of course he didn't have to speak but she wasn't really asking him if they could talk, she was telling him.
Pete sat her down in the busy IHOP and took out his notepad and began to scribble "L...look miss um I'm very busy, you're-" he stopped and looked up and nearly choked at her beauty before shaking his head "Martha Kent, she'll be the woman to talk to about the bus crash..." He said coldly as Natasha got up and offered a weak smile before leaving.
Think I'm gonna leave this here, I'll get face claims and stuff out of the way right now, all MCU is the same save for Spider-man I'll be using Andrew Garfield for that because I prefer my Spider-man to be a little older and a little wiser.
DCEU is the same, I will likely involve CW DC later, as for what might happen in the future and addressing any plagiarism claims up front. All characters are owned by Marvel and DC
I am using the Godkiller moniker for Wonder Woman in her file name from Reyel's excellent Avengers Goddess story, depending on how I'm feeling when I get to Ultron and that story I may bring Barry Allen from Earth-1 in and have him pair with Wanda, as I've grown fond of that pairing and would like to try my hand at it.
