A/N: So I'm back again with another story, this time around it will focus on a new team and their adventures in Haven Academy because I have seen and read many stories of other peoples OC's starting at Beacon so I thought I would be a little different with my OC's going to Haven Academy. Enough from me and I hope you all enjoy this new tale of mine!

TERA: THE NEXT DEFENDERS OF REMNANT

It was early in the Morning and the sun peeked through the window of Tina's room who was still asleep when one her mother's Michelle gently knocked on her door as she said, "Rise and sunshine sleepy head we have a big day ahead of us today!" and Tina groaned a little as she stirred from her sleep before she sleepily replied to her mother,

"Mmm...Alright mum, give me a few minutes to wake up properly."

Before slowly getting out of bed and walked over to her bedside table where she brushed her purple hair in front of the mirror so that it didn't look like she had bed hair before braided it into a nice ponytail before she then walked over to her wardrobe and opened it and pulled out a black tank top that had her nickname written across the front "Tiny Tina" in purple with a silver outline and some purple fishnets to go with her silver knee length shorts and her silver knee high boots.

And it took Tina a few minutes as she was putting on her silver fingerless gloves to register what her mother had said as she thought to herself, "Wait what did mum mean when she said we have a big day ahead of us? Oh well guess I'll find out soon enough." Before she slipped on her purple sleeveless jacket which had her emblem of a rose that was slowly fading away.

Tina then grabbed her weapon withering rose which was two scimitars with some string on either handle that she could combine to make a bow as she sheathed it on her back in a x shape before picking up her dust arrows and storing them in side quiver on her shorts before finally heading down stairs to get some breakfast.

At breakfast...

After Tina got downstairs she walked into the kitchen where Ruby was cooking something and barely noticed her daughter walking in until Tina cleared her throat and Ruby turned to face her as she said, "Morning sweetie umm did you sleep well? Today is a pretty big day umm not just for you but for me and Michelle too."

Tina sat down at the table and poured herself some orange juice as she replied, "Yeah I know mum, I'm starting at Haven Academy today but...you and mum keep saying it's a big day for you both too but I'm not sure what you mean by that." And Michelle smiled as she sat next to her daughter as she said,

"Well, it's a surprise darling so you will just have to wait and find out, besides the airship will be here soon to take us to Mistral."

And Tina smiled as she replied after finishing her glass of orange juice, "nothing like a good glass of OJ to help you start your day and I can't wait to use my beautiful withering rose at Haven Academy but...remind me why my nickname is "Tiny Tina" again?"

Ruby giggled a little as she reminisced about how their daughter got her nickname before she finally replied, "Well...the other kids started calling you "Tiny Tina" because you could get a little carried away when you were playing with your friends and because your teachers at Signal used tell me and your mother Michelle that you would get a little too excited when it came to combat practice."

Michelle checked her scroll as she picked up her backpack as she said to Tina and Ruby, "It's almost time for the airship to be here so we better get a move on as we wouldn't want to be late for your first day would we?" and Tina giggled a little as she picked her backpack and started walking towards the door of the house as she replied,

"I guess not, c'mon let's go to the landing pad."

Both Michelle and Ruby smiled at each other before following their daughter as they left the house and closed the door behind them and Michelle took one last look at their house which was a reasonable size and wasn't too far from a nearby pond and was made of wood and looked more like a cabin than anything else as Michelle said with a sigh, "It's a shame we won't be coming back here for a few months."

Ruby stood next to her girlfriend as she took her hand into her own as she smiled and replied, "Yeah I know, but people still need huntsman and huntresses as the Grimm are still active despite there not being as many as before considering we stopped Salem," before they walked down the path holding hands with each other catching up to their daughter.

And they walked past Ruby's father's house and Tai peeked out from his door as he said to Tina, "Hey, good luck at Haven Tina as I heard there is a new Professor taking over from Lionheart." And Tina waved at Tai as she replied with a smile on her face, "Yeah, I can't wait to see who the new professor is."

Then the airship landed and Tina and her mother's stepped on board before the pilot then closed the door of the airship as he took off for Mistral.

In Mistral...

It was roughly late afternoon when the airship landed in Mistral and Tina and her parent's stepped off the airship and walked through the courtyard to Haven Academy as Tina said excitedly, "I wonder who the new professor taking over from Lionheart is, I hope they're someone cool and nice."

And Michelle giggled a little as she said to Ruby, "At least our daughter is excited for her first day which is good to see at least." As Ruby smiled back at Michelle as she replied,

"Yeah, I umm I guess I was worrying over nothing."

Before Michelle and Ruby then saw a familiar looking person walking towards the doors of Haven Academy as they both said in shock, "Oscar?" and Tina looked back at her parent's in surprise as she replied,

"You know him?"

Both Michelle and Ruby rubbed the back of their heads as they said, "It's kind of a long story but yeah we do know Oscar Pine sweetheart, wonder what he's doing here?" then Oscar slowly walked over to them occasionally tapping his cane on the ground and as he got closer Tina could see that Oscar was certainly a lot older than what her parent's had described to her as his light brown hair was starting to turn grey in some places but his clothes remained more or less as her parents had described to her.

Oscar then smiled as he shook both Michelle and Ruby's hands respectively as he said to them, "Greetings, old friends, It's been a long time." and Michelle smiled as she replied,

"Yeah...A lot can happen in a year but it's good to see you again Oscar, what are you doing here at Haven Academy?"

And Oscar smiled a little as he said, "funny enough, I'm actually the new professor that is taking over from Lionheart and...I take it you guys didn't come here to catch up with an old friend did you?" and Ruby smiled back at Oscar as she replied,

"No umm although it is good to see you again, but we're actually here because our daughter is enrolling here."

Then Oscar blushed a little as he replied, "Oh...I didn't know you guys actually...you know...had a kid together." And Tina smiled as she held out her hand to Oscar as she said to him,

"Nice to meet you professor Pine, I'm Tina Rose and Michelle and Ruby actually adopted me when I was three after...I found out my parents were killed on a mission."

Oscar then took Tina's hand as he shook it before he said, "It's a pleasure to meet you too Ms. Rose, and...I'm sorry about your parents...they were great people that gave their lives to protect others." Before Oscar then turned to Michelle and Ruby as he added, "Please, come in and we can get the appropriate forms sorted for your daughter to enrol."

So Michelle and Ruby followed Oscar inside Haven Academy with their daughter where they got to Oscar's office as Michelle turned to her daughter as she said, "Wait here, we won't be long." And Tina smiled as she nodded her head as she replied,

"Ok mum, I'll be here while you and Ruby fill out the forms."

Later...

As Tina was waiting outside Oscar's office a boy with a tanned complexion and jet black hair came up to her and smiled as he held out his hand and said, "Hey, nice to meet you I see you're planning on enrolling here too, got a name?" and Tina smiled at the boy as she shook his hand and replied,

"Yeah, my name's Tina Rose, nice to meet you what's yours?"

The boy then smiled as he said, "Edward. Edward Nikos. But you can call me Eddie most people do anyway." And Tina smiled at Edward as she replied,

"Guessing by your last name, you must be Ren and Nora's kid, correct me if I'm wrong."

Edward smiled as he said, "Yeah, I am Nora and Ren's son, how did you know? What gave it away?" and Tina giggled a little as she smiled at Edward as she replied,

"Your combat outfit for one, and secondly your last name Nikos, my mother Ruby told me she had some friends that were living Mistral."

Then Edward took a closer look at Tina's outfit and her top which had "Tiny Tina" written on it and he perked a brow as he asked, "Tiny Tina? Is that a nickname or something? I-I don't mean to be rude." And Tina tried to hold back a giggle as she replied to Edward,

"Relax, I'm not gonna hurt you, but yeah "Tiny Tina" was a nickname I got when I went to Signal Academy because I would sometimes get a little too excited when we would have combat practice and I...may have accidently blown a hole in the wall and ever since then other kids started calling me "Tiny Tina."

Edward took a deep breath as he sighed before he said, "Phew, for a minute I was worried you were gonna make me sit on my ass, but wow that must be rough."

A few minutes later Tina's parents left Oscar's office and saw Tina talking with someone and Michelle smiled as she said, "I see you're making friends already sweetie." And Tina blushed a little as she saw her mother as she replied,

"Oh, I see you and Ruby are finished in Oscar's office already then, a-and for the record Edward started talking to me first because I was starting to get bored."

Michelle then ruffled Tina's hair a little as she said, "Relax kiddo, it's good that you're making friends darling but I'm afraid...me and Ruby are gonna have to leave you on your own for a while as we have accepted a mission in Solitas and we could be gone for a few months."

Tina then hugged her mother with some tears in her eyes as she replied, "Be...Be safe mum, I already lost one family and I...I don't want to lose another." And Michelle returned the hug to her daughter as she had some tears in her eyes of her own as she said,

"We will sweetie, I promise we will return to you safely, me and Ruby have to leave now but I'm sure you will make lots of friends here and besides I'm sure Edward here will look after you while we gone."

And Edward nervously smiled as he said to Michelle, "O-of course I will look after your daughter while you are away miss Cass." Then Michelle smiled at Edward as she replied,

"I'm sure you two will be just fine without us, and make sure to say hi to Nora and Ren for us will ya?"

That evening...

Once most of the students had filed in main hall of Haven Academy Oscar had stood on the main stage and walked up to the podium as he began his speech as he said, "Welcome students, now I am sure none of you expected me to take over from Professor Lionheart, but I can assure you all that things will be different here at Haven and I will not make the same mistakes that Lionheart did and while Salem may be gone there are still Grimm present."

And while Oscar continued his speech Edward walked next to Tina among the sea of students and said to her with a smile on his face, "Professor Pine really knows how to bring people together doesn't he? Just listening to him really makes you feel inspired huh?" and Tina smiled back at Edward as she replied,

"I'm not surprised that Professor Pine knows how to bring people together given how he supposedly had a hand in the final moments with the war against Salem, even my parents had a hand in that battle as well."

Edward then stood a little closer to Tina as he said, "Speaking of your parents Tina, what's that like? Having two mothers I mean, especially two people who are considered heroes in Remnant." And Tina perked a brow at Edward before she replied,

"Well, first of all I see what you are trying to do and it's a little early to be trying to get inside my pants but to answer your question...I can't really answer that at the moment at least but it has taken some getting used to but I do look up to them and they were ironically part of the reason why I wanted to become a huntress."

And Edward blushed a little in embarrassment as he said stumbling his words, "O-oh umm I-It's not like that all b-because you see there are a lot students in here a-and so there isn't much room so I had to move closer." And Tina could barely contain her laughter as she laughed before she eventually calmed down as she replied,

"Relax man, I was joking but you should have seen the look on your face it was priceless."

Edward smiled as he let out a sigh of relief as he said, "Oh...that's good then because for a moment I thought you were being serious and so I got really nervous and..." as he was cut off by Tina as she placed a hand on his shoulder making him blush again before she replied,

"The only time I am really serious is when I am in the field kicking lots and lots of Grimm butts, c'mon we should probably head to the ball room so we can claim a sleeping space otherwise we'll end up freezing next to a door or something like that."

Just then a girl with burnt red hair and sky blue eyes and a slightly pale complexion walked over to the two of them as she interjected with a smile on her face, "Actually, things here are different than what they were at Beacon as we already have dorm rooms and we won't be launched off the cliff either as we will be tested on our combat ability and sorted into teams that way."

And Tina looked over the girl in question for a few minutes before she asked, "And...you are?" and the girl smiled at Tina and Edward as she held out her hand as she answered,

"Ashe Schnee. Nice to meet you."

Tina then shook the girls hand and perked a brow as she said, "A Schnee? Here in Haven Academy? I thought Weiss didn't have any children unless you're Winter's kid." And Ashe sighed as she protested,

"I am the proud daughter of Weiss Schnee and a future heiress to the Schnee dust company I'll have you know. And who exactly calling a kid? We're the same age!"

Then Tina rolled her eyes as she retorted, "There's that Schnee attitude my parents warned me about, anyway let's not argue and let's just go to our dorms so we can get some rest before we have our initiation test. And for the record I'm older than you by at least a year as I'm 18."

Edward smiled as he nodded his head in agreement as he said, "Yeah, I'm with Tina, let's just head to our dorms so we can get some rest ready for the initiation test tomorrow." Before him and Tina started walking off towards the dorms as Ashe ran after them as she replied in a huff,

"Hey! Don't walk away from me when I'm talking to you!"

That night...

Tina was the first to enter the dorm room and upon entering she saw a girl laying on one of the beds and she had ginger hair with a orange bow on her head with a tanned complexion and turquoise eyes and she was reading a book and didn't even notice Tina entering the room before she waved at her as she said, "Oh...hi there, I was expecting the room to be empty. My names Tina Rose. Umm what's yours?"

And the girl briefly looked up at Tina from her book and smiled as she replied, "It's Rachel. Rachel belladonna. Nice to meet you." Before she went back to reading her book as Edward and Ashe entered the room behind Tina and they each claimed the remaining beds as Tina placed her backpack down beside her bed as she sat down before then moving to lay down on the bed.

Edward laid on the bed across from her and rolled on his side as he whispered to Tina, "Hey Tina, you awake?" and Tina remained laying on her back looking up at the ceiling as she replied,

"Why? What do you want Eddie? Can't you see I was trying to sleep?"

Then Edward smiled slightly as he whispered back, "Well it's just that the way you are dressed I haven't seen anyone with an outfit like yours around here and you said you went to Signal so where are you from if you're not from Mistral?

Tina continued to stare at the ceiling as she replied, "I'm from Patch, and if Beacon was still around then I would have gone there but my parents felt that Haven would be best for me so after I graduated from Signal Academy I chose to enrol here, anyway I'm goona try and get some sleep so I can show off my combat skills tomorrow."

Edward then smiled as he whispered back as he yawned, "Yeah, sounds like a good idea for now Tina, I guess we can talk more tomorrow after our initiation...assuming we end up on the same team of course so umm goodnight." Before they all slowly drifted off to sleep.

A/N: That is the first of hopefully many chapters done because I have a LOT of things planned with these characters with plenty of new characters to come but as the old saying goes you can't rush fine wine. But hopefully you enjoyed this introduction and in case any of you were wondering about Tina's nickname I borrowed it from one of my favourite characters in the borderlands series in Tiny Tina.
