Disclaimers: This is a one shot crossover between Sailor Moon and Shaman King. I do not own these two shows. Sailor Moon is written by Naoko Takeuchi in manga form and aired as a series by Toei Animation and TV Asahi in Japan and by Kodansha Comics in North America. Shaman King is written by Hiroyuki Takei in manga form and aired as a series by TV Tokyo, NAS, and Xebec, along with the 2021 remake by TV Tokyo and Bridge, in Japan and by 4Kids Entertainment, along with the 2021 remake by Netflix, in North America.
AN: (-‸ლ) I have another 「What If」 scenario. This time it's about Asakura Hao's reason for wanting a Shaman World. Anyways, the 「What If」 scenario is this:
What if, with the combined negative emotions from the fear of humans, Hao had another reason to wanting a Shaman World?
What if, a thousand years ago, Asakura Hao was actually a certain reincarnated princess' tōsan (father) in the Silver Millennium?
Well, to answer these questions, this one shot got created. (^^;) This will take place after Shaman King, but with Hao being defeated, but alive. (^^ゞWithout further ado! Read on with these 「What If」 questions in mind. |ω・`)
"Endymion-ōsama (king)," said a bowing dark brown hair and brown eyed male, "Gaia-joōsama (queen)."
"No need to bow, Asakura Hao-san," said a cheerful King Endymion.
"Hai," said a soft spoken Queen Gaia, "You are our guest."
Asakura Hao, a peaceful adult, grew up in chaos and poverty until befriending and helping out the Earth's royalty with his Shaman abilities. Due to such friendship with Earth's royalty, Hao would always be welcomed within the Elysion castle. It, unknown to him, was the day that would change his life for the better and away from the negativity surrounding him. Upon entering the Elysion castle, Hao bowed deeply to both King and Queen of Earth before straightening up. He smiled back at the couple, wondering why he was being summoned. Hao didn't have to wait long for an answer, for King Endymion answered his questioning look. "We would like you to come meet Gaia's special and dear friend," said Endymion, "Though, I don't know if I should believe what Gaia said about her friend."
"Friend," questioned Hao.
"Hai," said Gaia with a smile, "You shall see soon."
"Hai, Gaia-joōsama," said Hao with a small bow.
"And stop bowing," chided Gaia, "You are just as special of a friend as my visiting friend."
Hao had a small smile on his lips as the couple got up from their thrones. The couple and Hao walked out of the throne room and towards a hallway that Hao had never been to before. King Endymion commented that he also finally got to go down this mysterious hallway that Queen Gaia forbade ANYONE from walking. As the three arrived to a pair of doors, Queen Gaia quickly, but unnoticed to the other two, placed a glowing light green index finger to the keyhole. The doors opened by themselves as Queen Gaia quickly ushered the two into the mysterious room. Said room had a futuristic platform in the center, along with futuristic panels and a computer. Hao and King Endymion gaped while looking around the room until a soft glow from the platform alerted them. Hao stepped in front of the royal couple, but Queen Gaia pushed Hao slightly away. As the soft glow grew to the size of the platform, two figures materialized onto the platform before the glow regressed, one standing out from the other. This figure had a regal aura around her, long silvery-white hair done up in odango (dumplings), and wearing a white dress with a bow on the top, a gold crescent brooch adorning the middle of said bow. Upon her forehead, she had a golden-colored crescent moon. "Serenity-chan," exclaimed Gaia, which shocked her husband and Hao.
"Gaia-chan," said a smiling Serenity.
"It is nice to see you too, Gaia-san," said one of the females.
"You as well, Pluto-san," said Gaia with a smile.
"Ēto (Um), Gaia-ai (love)," said Endymion slowly, "Who are these two?"
"Hao-san, Endymion-ai," said Gaia with a smile, "Please meet my dear and special friend, Queen Serenity IV of the Moon, and her trusted guardian, Sailor Pluto."
"EH," yelped out Hao and Endymion.
"Pluto-san, Serenity-chan," said Gaia without missing a beat, "Please meet my dear husband, King Endymion of Earth, and our dear Shaman friend, Asakura Hao."
"It's a pleasure to meet you," said Serenity, who didn't even flinch at the gaping men.
- Fast Forward: 2 Years –
"Omedetō (Congratulations)," exclaimed a lot of people.
"Arigatō (Thank you), mina (everyone)," said a happy Serenity.
It was two years after that fateful meeting between the royals from Earth and the royal from the Moon. Hao and King Endymion, after months, were very surprised that there were actually living beings living on the other planets of the Solar System. Sailor Pluto was kind enough to tell the men about the other planets of the Solar System and about each Sailor Senshi. Hao was very interested in noticing that the oni (demon), Ohachiyo, that was attached to his reishi (spirit reading) was quiet when around Queen Serenity. He was also very interested that even though Queen Serenity was the ruler over the Moon, she did not have an intended as King. That changed, however, when Queen Serenity and Hao started to see each other without the help of the platform within Gaia's hidden room. Queen Serenity was very interested in what a Shaman does and would use her own powers to find Hao and see him help those in need. Those very events led to Queen Serenity and Hao falling in love with each other, leading to a wedding of a century. "Hai," said a smiling Hao, "Arigatō for the congratulations."
"You better take care of our joōsama, Hao-ōsama," teased Queen Rhea of Mars.
"I will do my best," said Hao.
"I am so happy that my friends are together," said Gaia who appeared out of nowhere and hugged the married couple.
"Arigatō for introducing us," said Serenity.
"You should also be thanking me," said Queen Aphrodite of Venus, "I was the one to point out to you that you had a thing for Hao-ōsama here."
"Hai," said Hao who teased Serenity, "Arigatō for setting my lovely wife's feelings straight."
"Mō~," pouted Serenity, "Don't tease your lovely wife, dear husband."
"Hai, hai," said Hao with a smile.
"Why did I agree to marry you," huffed Serenity teasingly.
"You love me," teased back Hao.
"And you know it," said Serenity who pulled Hao into a kiss.
- Fast Forward: 1 & ½ Years –
"What is taking so long," questioned Hao who was pacing.
"Well, my friend," said Endymion, "Birth takes a long time. I should know. Gaia gave birth to our lovely musuko (son) that took 18 hours."
Hao and Serenity were married for one and a half years. Within that time, their love grew to that of Serenity being pregnant with a child. Hao was very ecstatic when he heard the news and told his dear friend, King Endymion, about it. King Endymion was happy for his friend, thinking about engaging his musuko with Hao's own child, if child was a girl. Though, he also believed that Gaia would not go for this arranged marriage, for she believed about marrying for love. Gaia, on her part, was within the labor room and coaching her friend as she was in labor, Queen Maia of Mercury being the doctor. Both women encouraged Serenity for one more push until a baby came out from within Serenity. Said baby was crying, but after quickly cleaning and placing the baby within a soft baby blanket, Queen Maia and Gaia presented Serenity her baby. "Serenity-joōsama," said Queen Maia, "It is a healthy baby girl."
"A girl," asked an awed Serenity.
"Hai," said Gaia with a smile, "And a cute one too!"
"I shall get Hao-ōsama, Serenity-joōsama," said Queen Maia before leaving.
"Arigatō for being here for me," said Serenity.
"No worries," said Gaia, "What are friends for? Besides, I think Hao is very anxious that he called both Endymion-ai and I to come."
"Don't I know it," giggled Serenity.
The doors swung open to reveal a frazzled Hao. Hao was looking everywhere before looking at the bed to see his Serenity with a baby wrapped in a light orange blanket. Looking closer, he could see that the baby's eyes were closed as if s/he was asleep. Hao slowly but quietly walked towards his Serenity and his child before looking more closely at the baby. Serenity giggled inwardly at how Hao was looking at his newest child. "She won't bite, Hao-ai," said Serenity softly.
"She," questioned Hao.
"Hai," said Serenity with a gentle smile, "Meet Princess Serenity V, like we agreed to name her."
"My musume (daughter)," said Hao in wonder.
"Would you like to hold her," questioned Serenity.
"I," started Hao.
"Here," said Serenity as she gently placed the baby in Hao's arms, "I'm sure you won't drop her."
Hao looked a bit nervous until Gaia moved his arms to hold the baby correctly. Staring down at his new daughter, Hao felt warmth flowing over his heart. He didn't dare think that he would have a family, but this felt right in a way. Hao pressed Princess Serenity close to his chest so that the baby could hear his heart. It wasn't until Princess Serenity opened her eyes to reveal wonderful crystal blue eyes full of innocence that Hao vowed to always protect his family, especially his daughter. 'Don't worry, my musume,' thought Hao, 'Tōsan will always be there to protect you.'
- Fast Forward: Five Years Later –
"Do you HAVE to go," pouted Serenity V.
Five years later and Princess Serenity was really close to her father Hao. Hao and Princess Serenity would always stay together, Hao teaching Serenity the ways of the Shaman. He wanted Princess Serenity to have the means to protect herself, especially when his dear friends, Endymion and Gaia, were calling him back to Earth to help protect it from overrun oni. Hao couldn't just leave his first friends to defeat themselves from oni, even if Gaia had the powers of Earth by her side. With a heavy heart, Hao agreed to return to Earth and protect it from oni through the best of his means, being a Shaman. Princess Serenity V pouted more as she saw her father getting ready to depart. "I do not want to, my musume," said Hao, "Demo (But), your Gaia-oba (aunt) and Endymion-ōsama needs me to protect the people from oni."
"I wish I could go with you, too," pouted Serenity V.
"Then, who would protect your kāsan (mother)," questioned Hao with a raised eyebrow, "You are trying to become a Sailor Senshi, too, ne (right)?"
"Hai," pouted Serenity V, "Demo, I am going to miss you, tōchan."
Hao smiled inwardly at how cute Princess Serenity was acting. He could tell that his musume would miss him dearly, just like he would for her and her mother. But, duty as a Shaman calls him back to Earth. He knelt down Princess Serenity's level and hugged her with everything he had. He hoped that he would one day return to the Silver Millennium and lives with his family once the oni were gone. Whistling to get a certain animal's attention, Hao looked straight at Princess Serenity's eyes. "Musume, before I go," said Hao, "This is your present to remember me by."
"Y-You're giving me Matamune," questioned Serenity V in awe.
"Un," nodded Hao as he gentle placed a kitten in his musume's arms, "This way, you will always remember me."
Princess Serenity smiled with tears coming down her face as she nodded her head. Hao smiled before looking behind Princess Serenity to see his wife smiling a gentle, yet sad, smile. Hao walked towards Queen Serenity and gave her a final kiss before kissing Princess Serenity's forehead. Then and there, Hao left his life in the Silver Millennium, never to return but to hear about their deaths from Queen Gaia and King Endymion years later.
- Fast Forward: Eleven Years Later –
"What do you mean my family is dead," cried out Hao.
It took eleven years to take care of the oni around Earth. It was eleven years that Hao finally traveled back to the Elysion castle to use the platform within. However, it was also the day that he learned about the attack on his home and the death of his family. Hao, when he came into the Elysion castle, felt the oppression of guilt, sadness, and anger through the walls. He arrived at the throne room to see a crying Queen Gaia and King Endymion's anger, a fist hitting on his throne's armchair. Queen Gaia cried more when King Endymion informed his longtime friend that his family perished by the forces of the Negaverse and the jealousy of a woman named Beryl who lived in a town near Elysion Castle. "Where is this Beryl now," questioned Hao fiercely.
"She is locked away within the Negaverse," said Endymion.
"How," questioned Hao.
"Serenity-chan used the Ginzuishō," said a sad Gaia, "And due to the strain, she perished."
"I shouldn't have left them," said Hao with anger.
"You were helping us with the oni as only a Shaman could," said Endymion.
"You should have called me," said Hao, " I could have been in that battle."
"And what," argued back Endymion, "Perish as well?! I will not let another friend of mine perish like my musuko!"
Hao clenched a fist as he thought the choice of him going was taken away from him by a friend. He bit back a retort before his face turned into a nonchalant and emotionless mask. He will not let Queen Gaia and King Endymion know how much he was hurting for learning that his precious family perished and his choice to go back taken away. Hao bowed once more to the Earth's royal couple before leaving, never to be seen again. It wouldn't be long that Queen Gaia fell ill due to the stress and grief before dying. It wouldn't be long that King Endymion followed his wife, letting the royal kingdom dissolve in the wind until millennia later. It wouldn't be long that Asakura Hao would be overwhelmed by negative emotions, leading to him reasoning that humanity was why his family perished. It wouldn't be long that this so-called reasoning and the combined negative emotions would lead Asakura Hao to a desire to create the Shaman Kingdom on Earth and drive him to become the Shaman King in order to reach his goal… only for him to be defeated by his twin brother and descendant, Asakura Yō.
- Fast Forward: Millennia Later –
"Ahahaha," laughed Yō nervously, "Actually, Serenity is my fiancée, not Anna."
"Ah, sō ka," said Ryū with a nod before…
"EH," yelled out everyone who thought Anna was Yō's fiancée.
As Yō and his friends were conversing about his actual fiancée, a male figure was in the distance. His brown eyes trained onto the female that was within Yō's arms before softening. The female was just as he remembered millennia ago, but he was inwardly surprised to see her alive once more. He thought that day millennia ago and thought he wouldn't see his darling girl once more. As he relaxed and sat on the edge of the building to watch the Asakura household in Funbari, a small, young African child quietly called out his name. "Hao-sama," questioned the child.
"Opacho," said the now younger Hao.
"What is wrong, Hao-sama," questioned Opacho.
"Nothing is wrong," said Hao before pointing at the female, "Do you know who that is?"
"Īe," said Opacho, "Who is she?"
"She is my musume," said Hao.
"Eh," questioned a surprised Opacho.
"And it seems," said Hao who ignored Opacho's exclamation, "She was reincarnated like I was and will finally be a real Asakura."
"Hao-sama," questioned Opacho.
'Yō,' thought Hao, 'You better protect my musume or else I will really bring the Shaman Kingdom to realism… for the protection of my musume.'
With that thought, Hao got up from the edge of the building he was on and turned away from the household. He wouldn't realize that his musume felt him and wondered what that feeling would be. He wouldn't realize that he got an inward shiver from Yō for his thoughts about protecting Serenity. He also wouldn't realize that the same Sailor Pluto from millennia ago was watching him with her own eyes before going into the Asakura household. The only thing he could think of was to make more contingency plans just in case he needed to really make the Shaman Kingdom be a reality… for his musume's sake.
AN: Well, the show doesn't really tell us WHY Hao wanted a Shaman Kingdom. ┐(´∀`)┌ So~! I created a 「What If」 scenario that has Hao as Princess Serenity's father in the Silver Millennium. ʅ(́◡◝)ʃ It also shows that Hao wanted the Shaman Kingdom due to what, in his mind, was a choice for him to return to perish alongside his family. It also gave him more negative feelings because he felt that his promise to his family to always protect them wasn't fulfilled either. (一一) I kind of mixed the Anime with the manga information that I have gotten online, too. (u_u*) Anyways~! Happy reading! See ya in my unfinished fanfics! |ω・`)
