A/N I don't own chuck I wish I did. This is my first try at writing so I'm sorry for any mistakes in grammar or spelling. Chuck is one of my favorite shows and I hated that we only got five seasons and I'm still hoping for a movie like everyone else. Just so you know I'm a big Charah shipper and I don't like Bryce or much of season 3 and Shaw. So, I'm going to mess with cannon a little. Like I said it my first fanfic I wouldn't mind if I could find someone to beta read for me. I know this type has been done before but I would like to take a shot at it. This is edited and Beta'd by Nevr

Chapter 1

Chuck sits in his dream house in the dark waiting for his wife Sarah to wake up. He hopes that being in this house will help here regain her memories after Nicolas Quinn messed with her defective intersect that took away the last five years of their life together. Sarah slowly stirs.

"Hi, I know you don't remember me, maybe you'll remember this, our dream home. The one you always told me that you wanted" Chuck spoke.

"Our relationship was a cover, Bartowski, it always has been. You were just an assignment." said Sarah with no emotion.

"No, I was an assignment, then you fell in love with me and I know that sounds crazy and if I didn't know any better, I'd say it's crazy too. But the fact remains you fell for me Sarah, you did."

"My job is to make you think that I feel something. That's what I do best. I lie."

"Actually, you're not as good a liar as you think you are. It's true ok our first kiss, not our first cover kiss, but our first real kiss was when we were trying to diffuse a bomb and we thought we were going to die. And I closed my eyes. I felt you grab me and kiss me. You kissed me. And there was a lot of pretending that it didn't happen and awkward back and forth and even dating other people, but one day, one day I was sure that you could never love a nerd like me, you came over and I asked you if you loved me and you, Sarah Walker, said yes and when I asked you to marry me you didn't have to say yes because we both knew, we both knew that we'd spend the rest of our lives together. So please remember this house and the red door and the white picket fence and the family that we were going to raise together and remember me, because if you remember me then you'll remember that a nerdy guy like that works at a Buymore could make you happy. So, I'm going to give you a choice right here right now. It's up to you. You can either take a chance on me, and we can start over, or you can take these glasses that you came for and never see me again." Chuck spoke with tears rolling down his face.

Sarah slowly stands up. "This is real? You really love me?"

"With all of my heart."

"I'm sorry I did my job too well. I have a mission to finish. I'm going to need those glasses." Sarah said reaching got the glasses.

"NO!"

Chuck and Sarah started fighting. Of course, Chuck was only on the defensive, not willing to attack his wife. Sarah kicked Chuck into a mirror. Sarah continues her attack and hits him down the stairs. Chuck rushed to the doorway where they carved the names.

She takes the Intersect glasses from his hands and pulls out a gun from her ankle holster and points it at Chuck as he stares her down. "You can kill me, but I will never help you."

Sarah hesitates and then she sees their names carved into the door frame. "I wrote that."

"Yes, you did."

Then the memory of the carving's flashes before her eyes.

In walks Nicolas Quinn. "Very good work Agent Walker. The glasses." he takes them from her and starts walking to the back door.

"You lied to her. You used her."

Quinn stops at the open door. "You're right. He's right, I'm not CIA and I suppose I could explain it all, but you're not worth the time. Goodbye Sarah." raising his gun to shoot Sarah. Chuck just reacts and jumps in front of Sarah taking the bullet that was meant for her.

"Oh my god. Are you going to be, ok?" she said looking down at him. They could both hear the police sirens in the distance.

"I'm wearing a vest. They are coming for you Sarah. Run, run "he said lying through his teeth. He watches as she leaves, he can feel his life slipping away when John Casey and a strike team crash through the door.

"Where's Sarah" Casey asked.

"She's gone Casey. Save Sarah." He knew he wasn't going to make it looking into his sister's eyes and with his last breath he softly whispered "I love you, Sarah." The light in his eyes slowly dimmed.

Chuck awoke expecting to being in the hospital. To his shock he finds himself sitting up in his bed at his apartment. He looks down at his chest expecting to see a bullet hole and bandages but find just his unblemished chest. Getting out of bed he looks in the mirror. He sees his younger self with less stress line but his eyes, those eyes show a slight dimness. They showed the loss of something precious, his wife. He rushes to check his phone. He notices the background has changed. It was a Star Wars background instead of him and Sarah. His eyes grow wide looking at the date Dec. 16 2006.

"What the hell is going on?" Chuck whispers. All he sees is darkness as he passes out on his bed.
