CHAPTER 14

The sound of Tiffany's footsteps filled the hallway, making them seem much heavier. She stood outside the door to the room where the wulycanthro sisters were being held. She knocked twice before opening the door to the sight of a single individual in the room, Clank. "What's up little man?" Tiffany said, feigning a smile earning a look from Clank "Who are you?" He asked "Just someone here to visit Ray and Emmi." Tiff spoke and Clank's suspicion arose "No one calls them that. Everyone calls them by their full names" he spoke and Tiff giggled "Rayamy and Emmiamy. See?!" She said and Clank eyed Tiff "How do you know them?" He asked "Do you work here little man?" Tiffany asked and Clank stepped forward a tad

"As a matter of fact I do. The Wulycanthro Sisters are under my care." he spoke and Tiffany pursed her lips "Well they don't need your care anymore. Their father asked me to come pick them up." she spoke and Clank's eyes widened "The sisters were adopted…" he spoke "Yeah….their adoptive father wants them to come home now." Tiff spoke, and Clank took a close look at Tiffany, caution further arising in the small robot. "Are you aware of who their adoptive father was?" Clank questioned "Was? Past tense?" Tiffany played dumb "He died." Clank explained and Tiff grabbed Clank with her tail and raised him to eye level "You can't kill the Mighty Archon." She grinned and Clank's eyes widened even more, but then relaxed. "What?" Tiff asked

"The sisters are under my care….and I'm…." Clank trailed off as the two slender, cybernetic and furred sisters came forward and stood over Tiffany "Under the protection of the sisters." The two spoke at the same time. Tiffany looked at the sister to her right first; she was slightly taller, fitted with red cybernetics and black accents and blondish fur, the hair atop her head was wavy and a deeper blonde. Her eyes, glowing purple and her teeth, metal. Rayamy.

Tiffany then looked to her left. The somewhat shorter sister fitted with black and purple cybernetics and a darker blonde fur complete with a pink strand running down the left side, the hair atop her head, straight. Emmiamy.

"You two look great." Tiff tried to play nice, gently placing down Clank "Hey….Rayamy? What are we gonna do with this shrimp taco?" Emmiamy asked, flashing her fangs, which were much sharper than the sharpest of swords. "Shrimp taco?" Tiffany questioned. Slowly blinking at the insult. "Well, Wulycanthros are supposed to be peaceful creatures…" Rayamy said, the cybernetics in her throat deepening her voice "But we weren't raised that way were we…" Emmiamy spoke and Rayamy nodded, the two sisters getting closer to Tiffany. "No…No we weren't…." Rayamy said and Tiffany looked at the two sisters "Your daddy wants you home…" Tiffany said "Try to take us to him." Emmiamy said "I'd love…to see her try." Rayamy added, flashing her metal teeth at Tiffany.

Just down the hall, Ratchet and Rivet had entered the main lobby, the receptionist looked up at the lombax couple "Are the Wulycanthro Sisters allowed visitors right now?" Ratchet asked "Yes, you know the room, there's someone with them now actually." The receptionist explained and Rivet raised an eyebrow. "Markazian girl? Smells like sweet smoke, odd accent?" Rivet described Tiff and the receptionist nodded "Yeah that's her!" The receptionist said and Rivet turned to Ratchet. "Tiffany." She confirmed. Ratchet nodded and as the two lombaxes turned to go down the hall, there was the sound of a loud blast, the hallway being filled with purple light. "Oh no." Rivet said and she and Ratchet began running down the hall. "Wait, no weapons! And no running in the halls!" The guard said following after the lombaxes, only for the three to freeze at the sound of another blast.

MOMENTS BEFORE

"I'd love…. to see her try." Rayamy said flashing her metal teeth and Tiffany smiled. "Right." She said kicking Clank across the floor and sliding in the same direction. The sisters turned to face Tiff who unleashed her peacemaker weapons, only for the wulycanthro sisters to actually take a hold of the weapons. "You can't out weapon us." Rayamy spoke and the weapons pulsed pushing the sisters against the wall. "Wasn't trying to." Tiff spoke and she quickly retracted the peacemakers before concentrating them on Rayamy, pinning her to the wall. Tiff knew she only had moments before Rayamy's cybernetics understood the weapon.

"Interface. Interface!" Rayamy instructed and her eyes glowed purple. Tiff quickly turned to Emmiamy who she tossed an interdimensional orb at "Say hi to your daddy for me!" She said as the orb detonated and sent Emmiamy away, and angering Rayamy. Tiff looked at the bound sister, who broke free of the peacemakers. Tiff retracted the weapons, and narrowly dodged, a swing from Rayamy, who spiked her fist through a cybernetic.

Tiff then pulsed Rayamy again, knocking back the taller wulycanthro. Allowing for her to take a moment to equip another orb. Rayamy equipped a cyber that turned her hand into knifelike weapons, which she sent towards Tiff who dodged each one, and grabbed the last. Rayamy retracted her hand and realized she had something stuck to her; the orb. "Oh…" She said and in a blast of purple energy. Rayamy was sent home, much like her sister. "Where did you send them?" Clank asked "Home…" Tiffany dismissed.

PRESENT TIME

The door opened and in walked the two lombaxes, followed by the guard. "Well well well, look what the cat dragged in…" Tiffany smiled at the sight. "You two don't look all that….here….something else on your mind?" Tiff asked as she slowly made way over to the pair, but not before blasting the guard with the peacemakers, effectively killing him. "Needed privacy." Tiff spoke and the weapons retracted to their natural bracelet like state. With Tiff now standing close to the lombaxes, Rivet caught another wiff of the perfume Tiff wore, the perfume Slayton smelled of when he was cheating on her.

"Didn't think you two would get back together…from the looks of things, you two had broken up." Tiff said, playing dumb to her previous actions. "DON'T PLAY DUMB!" Rivet said angrily and Tiff smiled "What'd you do to the sisters." Ratchet asked staying focused "Ratchet!" Rivet started earning a look "I told you, she was the one behind everything." she continued " Not why we're here." Ratchet spoke and Rivet looked at him "Ratchet!" Rivet repeated and Tiff almost laughed "You two really don't have this down, how about, I go, before I get bored. Especially of you Rivvy. You're no fun anymore." Tiff said and the word "Bored" hit Rivet.

"Is that what he told you?" Rivet asked and Ratchet looked at Rivet confused "Who?" He asked "Yeah, who?" Tiffany concured "Slayton…He told you, he was bored of me, so he got with you?" Rivet asked and Ratchet's eyes widened "Who the shock is Slayton, Rivet?" He asked "You were the girl?" Tiffany realized "Slayton said at first he was losing interest. Then the sceond time he said he was bored. And by the third time, when we made sweet…sweet love…." Tiff's words were burning a hole in Rivet's heart "He told me, that he never loved you anyway." Tiff said and Rivet felt a tear escape her.

"I still remember his kiss. How sweet it was…." Tiff said and she traced over her lips before grinning "You know how sweet it is, right? Oh wait…" Tiff said and Rivet had had it, she swung and punched Tiffany across the face. Tiff spun around from the impact of the hit, and was met with two more punches from an enraged Rivet. Having backed her into a wall, Rivet reached to punch Tiff again but was grabbed by Ratchet "RIVET STOP!" He said and Rivet looked at him, eyes still filled with anger, but her eyes softened when she locked eyes with Ratchet. "Who's Slayton?" Ratchet asked, and Rivet could see in his eyes the look she had when she accused Slayton of cheating on her "Ratchet…he's not…" Rivet was cut off by Tiff throwing a device at Ratchet which seemingly caused him to vanish. Rivet gasped in shock before turning to Tiffany who simply said "Oops." Rivet felt all that rage return and she rushed at Tiff once more, only for the two to be engulfed in a blast of purple energy, an interdimensional orb had been detonated, transporting the two away.

Quite the Chapter! What happened to Ratchet following Tiff's well timed interruption of Rivet's explanation? Where did Rivet and Tiffany go?

Will the revelation of Slayton and Rivet's history make things more complicated between the lombaxes?
