Aster and Karl Gustav never expected to see Neuroi in their lifetime, but in 1939, their world shatters in the wake of the Second Neuroi War. Now five years later, Aster and Karl are given a choice. Continue their miserable lives as orphaned refugees in Britannia, or unleash a hell of bloody revenge on the Neuroi.

1. Summary

Karl and Aster Gustav had never expected to see the Neuroi in their lifetime. September 1st 1939 was supposed to be another normal day in Karlsland.

But sometimes things happen that we don't expect.

On that day, their world shatters. Their mother is killed inside her lab, and their father goes missing in the subsequent attacks.

The same day, their music loving cousins Alistar and Leon are caught in another Neuroi attack in Lubeck. Their parents are left dead in the subsequent rampage

Five years later, Karl and Aster have joined up with a gang of refugee orphans in New York, pickpocketing and stealing to survive. However, when a simple theft goes horribly wrong, and they discover a power they didn't know they had. The boys given a choice. They can continue their miserable existence and face cruel Liberion justice, or join the ranks of the Joint Fighter Wings and unleash a bloody revenge against the Neuroi.

The choice seems simple, but sends them down a path where the end isn't always clear. Especially when they're sent to seperate Fighter Wings. The calm and collected Aster is sent to join the 502nd 'Brave Witches' Joint Fighter Wing, while Karl goes on to join the 501st 'Strike Witches' Joint Fighter Wing.

While this goes on Alistar and Leon live in an orphanage in northern Britannia, then when Leon is attacked by another resident, they discover their inner power. Soon recruiting agents come calling, however they find themselves with a dilemma.

Alistar and Leon refuse to fight.

When one recruiting agent discovers the twins unusual talent and passion for music, he comes to them with a compromise. They will join the LNAF Magic Band. Alistar and Leon finally accept, and are sent to join the Luminous Witches. As the twins talent and skill as professional musicians grow. They find themselves becoming closer with their fellow magic users.

However, the twins finds themselves in a dilemma as he discovers his growing feelings for Virginia Robertson. While Alistar slowly falls for the temperamental Lyudmila.

Along the way the four of them discover new allies, make new friends, find love, and discover enemies both human and alien as they unravel the mystery behind the Second Neuroi War, and the true nature of their parent's experiments.
