Hey guys, AzraelVoorhees here, and this story is pretty much Issei Hyoudou in an array of romantic one-shots with female DxD characters. If you have a request, feel free to drop it in the comments or PM me. The same can be said for feedback and questions you may have, more notes on the bottom. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy.

Dealing with Issei and his friends Matsuda and Motohama was a chore, given the constant reports from the Kendo Club, alongside a few others. The nature of their motives was a shame, for it was time and energy that could be used on something else such as helping the school, studying should they choose to apply for university, so on and so forth. However, she was visited by the three, who had a stack of papers in their hands. This was unexpected: normally, they were sent to her, but this time, they came to the Student Council room, on their own account.
Without much to lose, she began.
"How can I help you?"
"Well, we're running out of things to do, and we wanted to consult you," Matsuda said.
"Involving?"
"It's a request to start a club, if possible. We don't really have a place for ourselves, and having a place where we could spend time after class would be a plus," Motohama replied, looking at Issei.
"Before you make a decision, please let us explain. Despite the variety of clubs, we didn't see a game club. Sure, there's a video game club and a manga club, but no spot for games like Uno, Monopoly, so on and so forth. As an idea, from the common games like Clue and Risk to the more obscure or rarely-played games like Pathfinder or games based off movies to make money," he answers, handing her an intended list of games, along with other cases, such as the ones where they may wish to add a new game to their repertoire.
It was a difficult decision: for the time being, there were three members including Issei. The ORC, which had 4, would no longer be the club with the least amount of members. It would also mean funds, taking into account the other clubs, so on and so forth. On paper it was not much, but it was the possible repercussions the school itself may mention.
On the other hand, it could prove to be beneficial: none of them were part of a club, so this may be a good way for them to spend time. If their time was being consumed by club, it would raise less complaints from the standard crowd. Finally, it could invite more people to what could possibly be a good club, assuming it did generate traction.
"What resources would you require?"
"Well, that was easy," Issei said, going through the paperwork as they stood in a small room that had a table, a few chairs and a few bookshelves.
"Big time, I'm glad they didn't send us to the library," Motohama commented, scrolling through his phone and checking an online store.
"That aside, we doin' this daily? I got a job and all on weekends," Matsuda asked, drinking from a water bottle as he filled out a sheet.
"Not really, I'm considering leaving Friday and Saturday free. Speaking of free, have you guys decided what you'll be playing as?" Issei asked, opening a hardcover book and bringing out a small bag of dice.
"As if, we need 1-5 more people to make it work," Motohama answered, crumpling his sheet and tossing it into a bin.
"No matter, we have to start by making this place presentable."
"Agreed, I'll check the attic for any board games I've got."
"Same, though I'm already ordering some stuff for the campaign," Matsuda commented, showing his phone screen briefly.
"Nice, hope customs doesn't make it a bitch," Motohama said. "Anyone need a pack?"
"I do, I'll get some copies. Remember to drop by tomorrow with some goods tomorrow," Issei said. With this said, the three put in efforts to make the room presentable: a used wooden table, several books, board games, and figurines of mythological creatures. However, it was not doing much, as despite their advertising, they were not gaining members.
"Kaichou, what is it you want to do? At this rate their club will be discontinued," Tsubaki asked, going through some papers for the upcoming festival.
"I know. The problem here is what would happen since a school club requires commitment, among other things," the Student Council president replied, tapping a finger on her desk.
"How about sending Tsubasa? Maybe she could see for herself what's wrong," Sona's queen suggested.
"Fair enough, send her out," Sona said, her Queen leaving the Student Council. Two hours had passed, and the heiress had grown concerned.
"Sona-kaichou, should I go fetch Tsubasa? She hasn't returned yet," Tsubaki asked, showing her concern.
"No, we can go check in on her, we must depart for our requests," Sona replied, getting up before the two left the room. What awaited them in the Game Club's room was quite unexpected, for Yura was there, but the following did not help the situation:
"I choose to use my left claw to attack the slime," Yura said.
"Ok, roll the attack," Issei said, looking at her. The enthusiastic student rolled a 20-sided dice, watching it roll... onto a 16. "Alright, roll your d6," he added, the dice falling on a three. "That's 8... damn. You watch the slime be torn apart like jello, or whatever equivalent the kingdom of Vandikar handles. It slowly disperses, the same happening with the remains that were caught on your claw... I think we got a bit carried away," the brunette ended, looking at the Student Council President.
"What are you doing?" Sona asked.
"Well... we were deciding what to do when Tsubasa decided to swing by, something about checking in on us. One thing lead to another, and now we had our first session of Dungeons and Dragons," Matsuda answered. "Care to join us?"
"No, this is a reminder so that you make sure you clean up after yourselves, as the school is about to close," she answered, crossing her arms.
"Hehe, sorry kaichou," the bluenette said in a sheepish manner.
"No worries, remember to report what happens in case this happens again."
"Yes, kaichou."
"Good, let us depart," the stern Devil said, followed by her peerage members. The silence they left behind was interrupted by an awkward question.
"Think she'll dip?"
As time passed, the occasional experience of her Rook's campaign became commonplace. Tsubasa's curiosity became excitement as her peerage member began to talk more about her character and also going on to spend time drawing it. The results were not unwelcome, as she was now greeted by varied drawings of fictional beings: Matsuda's character was a young man with a green cloak, a white long-sleeved shirt and jeans who had a minor knack for magic, archery and thief-related skills. As it turns out, this character's backstory was that they left their former group when the financial losses became a pain, now testing his luck with this new group.
Motohama's character was an average worker who worked in a guild in the administration department, making sure everything was up and running in terms of paperwork. A strain left him bald as he exercised, developing insane strength that no one really knew if there was a limit to it. As for Yura's character? An unknown entity that had made its way into Vandikar after living in the wild for so long, with beast-like abilities.
In an attempt to understand her Rook better, Sona went on to find out that the game actually had gone through several versions, with an array of contrasts throughout the years, starting around 1974. The game was known as Dungeons and Dragons, and most of its traction was in places such as North America and Europe. The care that went into the session varied from cardboard cut-outs on a grid to official web-series with professional voice actors and the whole shebang. These... unusual interests were starting to invade her life, as Tsubaki would find it difficult to look away from the sessions Hyoudou and the others had. Hell, she was sure she caught a character sheet among Tsubaki's paperwork, something the Queen hid with a heavy blush.
This left her with another question: why was she becoming interested the more it was brought up? It had not been expected, as it was dealing with the supernatural albeit in a fantasy setting. Checking out online session compilations became full streams as time passed, even checking out the basics of the game. Was it a desire to escape reality and its horrors? A desire for someone else to take control? A desire, to be treated as Sona instead of Sona Sitri? She could not tell, for the feeling was alienating. She had been so focused on her goal, that downtime was hardly used for breaks, or letting loose as some would say. Ambitions were what fueled both man and devil, and yet too much of it could lead to death, as seen with vice.
She had made her mind, and with a quick call, she got her answer: 'Yes'. She, alongside her Queen, now had an outing with Hyoudou... over character creation in a tabletop game that was once frowned upon from multiple fronts. Her views on helping Reincarnated Devils were just as frowned upon, perhaps this new perspective might help?
So yeah, Sona playing D&D to kick things off. I know I know, it may seem short, but it's to sort of get an idea, let the poll breathe. I plan on making a chapter for another work by the end of this month, so do await that. That said, please go ahead and check my poll out for the next one-shot.
