Disclaimer: I do not own danmachi, just trying out writing to see if I enjoy something like this as a future hobby or something like that.

This is my First time writing one of these and I wanted to try something new. Let me know ideas for improvement or ideas you would like to see.

This story will heavily focus on AizxBell with it mostly being an overview of what Aiz is doing for the most part. This takes place after SO12.

A lot of the inspiration for the first few chapters are from Webweasel and his story Aiz's love Awakens. If you haven't read that I fully recommend it and any other stories that he writes.

Chapter 1

After the Loki Familia returned from the dungeon for the first time after the attack on Knossos the captain told everyone to split up and sell their drop items and magic stones then meet at the Benevolent Mistress.

"Come on Miss Aiz let's hurry so we can go shopping till dinner!" Roared a happy Lefiya, thinking about spending time relaxing after a taxing day in the dungeon.

"With everything that's gone on we need a break." Replied a happy Tiona. "We should think about convincing Loki to take another vacation sometime."

"I hope the captain will let us go somewhere with him." Tione giggled.

"Ok. Let's hurry." Aiz replied already thinking of her favorite snack that she wanted to get as soon as possible.

"Let's split up and meet at the jagamarakun stand once we are done, I'm certain Aiz is already planning on going there." Riveria commented.

'How did she know?' Aiz thought as mini Aiz was staring in awe wondering if Riveria could tell the future.

Blushing and looking down, Aiz replied with "yes" which got a laugh out of everyone as they split up to go their separate ways.

After Riveria got done with all of her errands, she noticed Aiz still shopping and decided to join her. Following that, the pair went to their Familia's blacksmith in order to pay off Aiz's debt for breaking a sword they loaned her. Once they were done Aiz was relieved to hear that she only had 1 million more to go.

"I'll go to the dungeon and make enough money to pay it off this week" Aiz told Riveria.

"That's probably smart. Just make sure you ask someone to accompany you."

As they started to walk over to Aiz's favorite jagamarakun stand, they noticed a group of distressed adventurers from the Hestia Familia standing outside of it.

Getting closer Aiz and Riveria overheard their conversation.

"Are you sure this will help Bell-dono?"

"I'm not sure if anything we do will help him at this point."

"We have to try to help master Bell with something."

The pair quickly shot each other a worried look given how much impact Bell has had on Orario and decided to figure out what is going on.

"Excuse me, I overheard and I was wonder what is wrong with Bell Cranel." Riveria asked.

Mikoto quickly jumped at the sight of them "Kenki-sama and Riveria-sama!?"

"What's wrong with Bell?" Aiz questioned the girls in a concerned voice.

"We can't tell you much of what is going on" Lili replied, "but ever since our expedition Bell has had terrible nightmares and he has been acting different."

"What happened on your expedition? And how is he different?" Riveria asked.

"Aiz! Riveria! There you are!" Yelled Tiona rushing to the pair with Lefiya and Tione in tow.

"Oh you are from the Hestia Familia! What's going on here" Lefiya asked.

"They seem to be worried about Bell Cranel and what has been happening to him since their expedition and I was offering our assistance." Riveria replied trying to calm some of the commotion the three had brought with them.

"Something is wrong with Argonaut-kun?" Tiona replied. "Did he do something crazy again?"

"Yes and apparently he has bad nightmares because of it and he has changed. I'm sorry for their interruption, now what happened on your expedition?" Riveria asked the Hestia group.

After exchanging glances and nodding with each other Lili started to talk.

"Well we ran into a lot of irregularities. While we were fine we had to pick up another quest halfway through. I'm sure you heard about the gale wind situation on the 25 floor."

"Yes we heard. Did something happen there?"

Mikoto replied "Well Riveria-sama, our party stayed behind on the 18th floor because we had a few injuries but Bell went and offered support. That was the last time we saw him because when we made it down to the 27 floor after dealing with another irregularity we were separated from Bell."

"What do you mean?" Aiz asked nervously.

"It would probably be best if you asked him that, he hasn't told us much of what happened to him."

Riveria started to notice the worried look on Aiz's face and said, "Well he seems fine now, he just had a cast on his arm so I am sure his injuries are healed."

"Yes that's what we thought as well." Mikoto replied. "I am more worried about any mental scars he might have from this."

Tione suddenly got interested in this conversation and asked, "Well have you asked Bors?"

"Well we tried to ask him about it and he was freaking out, he just said that there was no way those two survived that and wouldn't say anything else. When we finally saw Bell-dono again his entire body was close to being destroyed."

"Well he survived so it can't be all that bad." Riveria said, trying to calm down the rest of the group. "Who was the other person he was with down there?"

"It was an elf, she is an adventurer as well." Haruhime said. "Every night he has terrible nightmares and he has not been sleeping that much since he came back."

'Was it really that bad?' Riveria wondered, she knew that Aiz and the others wouldn't sit still after hearing this. "I'm nervous for Bell Cranel. The least we can do to repay him would be to help. Who was the elf he was with?"

"Do you know the one elf from the benevolent mistress?" Lili replied.

"Yes! She has helped me out so much!" Lefiya said with a smile.

"Well she was the one with Bell and when we found them they both were in terrible condition."

"We will talk with her and try to get to the bottom of this" Riveria said. "After all the help you guys gave us in the Knossos situation it's only natural."

"Thank you Riveria-sama. If you find anything out please let us know and we will update you on what we find as well." Mikoto replied.

As the Hestia Familia took their leave, a troubled Loki Familia decided what to do.
