Summary: When a thunderstorm fries out the circuits of the Pickles TV, the kids decide to make their own TV programs (again).
It was a wet and stormy day in Yucaipa, California as the Rugrats, Angelica, Susie and Zoey were hanging out at the Pickles residence channel surfing on the Pickles TV.
"Alot of our favoritest TV shows are on, but which one should we all watch together" asked Tommy.
"If we all take a vote on the programs, I'm sure we can all agree on something" replied Zack.
"Yeah" replied the others in unison.
Before the kids could even make their vote, a huge clap of thunder was heard and it knocked out the power around the neighborhood.
"Ahhhhh" screamed the kids in unison.
Spike, Spiffy, Fifi and Pepper were barking aloud as well.
"Calm down everyone" said Didi. "Everything's is going to be okay" she assured.
"I have the flashlights and the lanterns on hand" added Stu.
"How long are we going to be in the dark Uncle Stu" asked Angelica.
At that moment before Stu could answer, the power flipped back on.
"Yay" cheered the kids in unison.
Angelica went to turn on the TV, but nothing happened.
"Uh-oh" said Angelica.
"What's the matter" asked Stu.
"I think the TV is dead again" replied Angelica.
Stu looked and saw that the TV was plugged in and tried to turn it on, but nothing happened.
"I hate to say it, but this TV is no good anymore if it can't turn on" said Stu. "We will have to toss this out" he added.
The kids groaned in disappointment.
"We will replace the TV as soon as we can" said Didi. "It's going to take some time though" she added.
Stu and Didi walked away to find a box for the busted TV.
"Now no one can watch their favoritest shows" said Phil.
"Yeah, it's not fair" added Lil.
"Relax guys, I have this covered, acause I gots an idea" said Tommy.
"What's your idea this time Bro" asked Dil.
"We can make our own TV again" replied Tommy.
"What do you mean" asked Jesse.
Tommy explained to the others that they got inspired to make their own TV shows from a box when their last TV was inadvertently busted from one of Stu's inventions.
"That's one way to make the best of the situation" said Zack.
"Uh-huh, making our own TV shows sounds like fun" replied Kimi.
"You've got my vote Tommy" said Susie.
"Yeah, with more of us this time, it might be even funner" agreed Chuckie.
"And the bestest part is, each of us gets to be in control of whatever we do" said Savannah.
"Yeah, I wanna try this out" replied Dil.
"I'm all for it you guys" said Zoey.
"If you're in, I'm in too" replied Angelica.
"So are we" said Phil and Lil in unison.
At that moment, Stu and Didi returned with a big box to toss the busted TV with.
"Uncle Stu" said Angelica.
"Yes Angelica" replied Stu.
"Before you use that box to throw the TV away, can Me and my friends use it to make our own TV shows with" asked Angelica.
"Sure you can" replied Didi.
"Yeah, that ought to keep you kids busy until our new TV is delivered" added Stu.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
Soon, the kids cut a square hole into the box and were ready to start.
"Okay guys, we will pretend that this remote controls our own TV and everybody will get a turn" said Tommy.
The others nodded in agreement.
"Now who want's to go firstest" asked Tommy.
"Me, I wanna go firstest" exclaimed Kimi.
Tommy then used the remote and an animal show appeared.
"Hi friends and welcome for an exciting episode of The Aminal (Animal) Whisperer" said Kimi. "Today, I am at the house of my friend Tommy Pickles and where his dogs Spike and Spiffy lives" she said.
"Hello peoples" said Tommy as he waved at the camera.
"So Tommy, I hears you've been curious to know what Spike and Spiffy are barking up a storm about" said Kimi.
"Yep, I just gotta know what they're saying" replied Tommy.
"Don't worry Tommy, I will find out for you and our peoples that are watching this" said Kimi. "I've gots the power to talks to any kinds of aminals (animals)" she added.
"Wow, cool" said Tommy.
Using her psychic abilities and telepathic skills, Kimi was able to talk to Spike and Spiffy on what they were barking so excitedly about.
"I found out why they're acting this way" said Kimi. "They're acting this way acause there is a new doggie park opening up in town and peoples that have pets can takes them there and Spike and Spiffy are specially happy acause that means they will get to spend time with Fifi and Pepper together as a family" she said.
"Wow, that's neat" said Tommy. "I am so happy for Spike and Spiffy, as well as Fifi and Pepper" he added.
The show ended as Kimi and Tommy stepped out of the box.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
"That was pretty cool, being able to talk to animals" said Chuckie.
"Thanks" replied Kimi.
"Who wants to go next" asked Tommy.
"We do" replied Dil and Savannah in unison.
Tommy then used the remote and a gymnastics show appeared.
"Hello friends and welcome to another exciting session of Reaching New Heights, I'm your host Goober the Gopher" said Goober. "Joining me today on the field, our Gym Stars Dil Pickles and Savannah Green will demonstrate on how to do cartwheels and somersaults" he said.
"We're ready" said Dil and Savannah in unison.
Soon, the pair were doing cartwheels and somersaults.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Dil as he did a somersault. "You might tumble at first, but anybody will get the hang of it eventually" he said.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha" laughed Savannah as she did a cartwheel. "The important thing is to not get discouraged and keep trying your bestest" she said.
The pair continued doing demonstrations of cartwheels and somersaults successfully and unsuccessfully to their viewers.
"Great job partner" said Dil.
"You too partner" replied Savannah.
Dil and Savannah gave each other high-fives and fell on the floor mats.
The show ended as Dil and Savannah stepped out of the box.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
"That was a pretty good performance" said Zack.
"Thanks" replied Dil and Savannah in unison.
"Who wants to go next" asked Tommy.
"We do" replied Angelica and Zoey in unison.
Tommy then used the remote and a cookie eating contest show appeared.
"Hello everybody and welcome to a suspenseful session of Operation: Cookie" said Cynthia. "Today our cookie eating contest between Angelica Pickles and Zoey Anderson is about to begin shortly" she said.
"Bring it on, I'm ready" said Angelica.
"I've done it before, and I will do it again" replied Zoey.
"Alright contestants, we will bring you each a plate of cookies" said Cynthia. "You will eat all the cookies on the plates and when you are done, each of you will get another plate of cookies. This will continue until the end and whoever eats the most cookies will be declared the winner" she said.
"We're ready" said Angelica and Zoey in unison.
"Ready, set GO" said Cynthia.
The girls wasted no time devouring all the different types of cookies that were placed in front of them, ranging from chocolate to sugar. Eventually, it was time for the final round as a plate of gingerbread cookies was set down by the girls whom were not looking well with full bellies. The two girls ate up their cookies until there was one last one on each plate. Zoey ate hers quickly while Angelica just looked at hers and just couldn't take another bite. Then she belched so loudly, her chair and table collapsed, thankfully she wasn't hurt. Then, Cynthia ran up to Zoey and held her arm up.
"And the winner is Zoey Anderson" shouted Cynthia.
The show ended as Angelica and Zoey stepped out of the box.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
"I gotta hand it to you Zoey, you really can store those cookies away" said Angelica.
"Thanks Angelica" replied Zoey.
"Who want's to go next" asked Tommy.
"We do" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
Tommy then used the remote and a cooking show appeared.
"Hey everybody" said Phil and Lil in unison.
"I'm your host, Phillip" said Phil.
"And I'm your hostess, Lillian" added Lil.
"Tonight we're gonna show you the ingredients that are needed to make a mud pie birthday cake" said Phil.
"Yep, it will be yummy in your tummy" replied Lil.
"Ready partner" asked Phil.
"Ready" replied Lil.
Soon the twins rolled out their wagon with the things they needed to make their culinary creation.
"Okay, the firstest thing you'll needs is the bowl" said Phil.
"Next, you'll need a jar full of mud which you pour into the bowl" replied Lil as she did just that.
"Don't forgets wormies" said Phil and Lil in unison as they got their bags full of worms and mixed them in with the mud.
"And you'll need a moss filled rock and plenty of dirt" said Phil as he showed everybody the rock and added in the dirt into their creation.
"We'll also need gunk from my shoes" said Lil as she pulled some gunk from her shoes and added it to the mix.
"Not to mention ants and lint" said Phil as he put those things into the mud pie.
"And you can never have enough grass and snail's to finish it off" said Lil putting the last ingredients into their treat.
"And don't forgets to put in candles" said Phil and Lil in unison.
Soon Phil and Lil showed off their creation to everyone.
"And that's how you makes a mud pie birthday cake" said Phil and Lil in unison.
The show ended as Phil and Lil stepped out of the box.
"Yay" cheered the others in unison.
"Good job partner" said Phil.
"You too, partner" replied Lil.
"Who want's to go next" asked Tommy.
"I do" replied Chuckie.
Tommy then used the remote and a commercial on relaxing and enjoying life appeared.
"Hello friends" said Chuckie as he was relaxing in a grassy meadow. "Do you ever feel that life sometimes goes by so fast that we almost never take the time to appreciate the simple pleasures like digging a hole in the sand or looking at a blue sky with fluffy white clouds? Well, the truth is that so often rush through with our lives, whether it's growed ups working day after day or kids seeking adventures, not realizing what's really important. Just think about it, moments with family and friends, the rustling of leaves and my favorite, blowing all the fuzzies off dandelions" he said as he did just that.
The commercial ended as Chuckie stepped out of the box.
"Yay" cheered the others in unison.
"Those are some wise words to live by" commented Zack.
"Thanks" replied Chuckie.
"Who want's to go next" asked Tommy.
"I would" replied Susie.
Tommy then used the remote and a ballet recital of Swan Lake appears.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to our dance recital, Swan Lake" said Miss Svetlana.
The crowd applauded as the little ballerina's took center stage and the music started playing.
"Keep cool Susie, you can do this" Susie thought to herself as she danced gracefully with her fellow ballerina classmates.
The ballerinas kept up with the tempo as the recital went on. Eventually, the recital concluded on an excellent note.
"Yay" cheered the audience as the ballerina's took a bow.
The program ended as Susie stepped out of the box.
"Yay" cheered the others in unison.
"I gotta admit, that was a spirited performance" said Angelica.
"Thanks" replied Susie.
"Who want's to go next" asked Tommy.
"I wanna try" replied Zack.
Tommy then used the remote and an educational show appeared.
"Hello friends, I'm Professor Zack and I'm gonna show you the whole alphabet. There are many ways to learn it, but I'm gonna show you my favorite method of learning the alphabet with these lettered building blocks" he said.
In no time, Professor Zack built a vertical wall of the whole alphabet with his building blocks.
"Ta-da" exclaimed Professor Zack. "This is the whole alphabet as follows" he said.
"A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,LMNOP,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W and X,Y and Zee. Now I know my "ABCs" Next time won't you sing with me" said Professor Zack as he finished singing the alphabet smiling proudly.
The program ended as Zack stepped out of the box.
"Yay" cheered the others in unison.
"Wow Zack, you're the smartest baby around" said Kimi.
"Thanks" replied Zack.
"Well Jesse, now it looks like it's you and Me" said Tommy.
"Oooooh, I can't wait to see what show we're gonna do" exclaimed Jesse.
Zack then used the remote and a doctor show appeared.
"Well, here I am in the doctor's office, waiting for my checkup" said Jesse.
At that moment the door opened.
"Ah, hello Jesse Barrow, I'm Dr. Tommy Pickles and I will be giving you your checkup" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Okay Doctor, it's not gonna hurt is it" asked Jesse.
"Of course not, everything's gonna be fine" replied Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Okay, let's do it" said Jesse.
"First, stick out your tounge and say ah" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Ahhh" went Jesse as he showed his tongue.
"Your tongue looks okay" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Neat" replied Jesse.
"Now I gotta listen to your heartbeats" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Okay" replied Jesse.
Dr. Tommy Pickles got out his stethoscope and listened to Jesse's heartbeats.
"Your heart is pounding pretty fast" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"It's probably because of my hyperness as I'm just full of pep" replied Jesse.
"Not to worry, there are a lot of kids that have lots of energy on account of their hyperactive attitudes" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"It's good to know I'm not alone on this" replied Jesse.
"Next, I'm gonna test your reflexes on your knees" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Okay" replied Jesse.
Dr. Tommy Pickles got out his reflex hammer and carefully tapped Jesse's knees.
"Your reflexes seem perfectly norman" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"I guess I try to make it a habit with my hyperness" replied Jesse.
"Now to check behind your ears" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Okay" replied Jesse.
Dr. Tommy Pickles got out his octoscope and checked Jesse's ears.
"The ears look okay" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Great" replied Jesse.
"And finally, I'm gonna check your nose" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Okay, but don't be too nosy" replied Jesse.
Dr. Tommy Pickles got a mini flashlight and checked Jesse's nose.
"I see you blow your nose everytime you sneeze since I don't see boogers" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Yep" replied Jesse.
"Well Jesse, that finishes the checkup" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Yay" exclaimed Jesse.
"Yep, you're a pretty healthy baby and because you were a good boy, here is a lollipop" said Dr. Tommy Pickles.
"Wow, thanks" replied Jesse. "I guess going to the doctor isn't such a bad thing after all" he added.
The program ended as Tommy and Jesse stepped out of the box.
"Yay" cheered the others in unison.
"You were a brave patient Jesse" said Dil.
And you were a good doctor Tommy" added Savannah.
"Thanks" replied Tommy and Jesse in unison.
"Those were pretty cool shows we made up you guys" said Zoey.
"Yeah, it's even better than TV, somehow" added Angelica.
"Yeah, it was fun" replied Phil and Lil in unison.
"It was awesome" said Dil and Savannah in unison.
"I agree" replied Zack.
"Uh-huh, it was super fun" added Kimi.
"Yeah, I'll say" said Susie.
"It was just as exciting this time as it was last time" added Chuckie.
"We will all have to watch ourselves on our pretend TV again sometime" said Jesse.
"I knowed this idea would come in handy for a yucky rainy day" added Tommy.
At that moment, the sun started shining brightly as the rain subsided.
"Hey guys look, it's stopped raining, we can go outside and play" said Tommy.
"Yay" cheered the others in unison. Spike, Spiffy, Fifi and Pepper barked with excitement as well. At that moment, Stu and Didi came into the living room.
"I see you kids had fun without a real TV" said Didi.
All the kids nodded yes.
"Well, you kids will be glad to know that our new TV will arrive in a few days from now" added Stu.
"Yay" cheered all the kids in unison.
Then, all the kids and the dogs headed out to the backyard to play.
"TV or no TV, it was awesome making up our own show's" said Jesse.
"Thanks" replied Tommy. "C'mon, lets play" said Tommy.
All the kids played happily until their parents arrived to take them home late in the day.
