Welcome to Australia, Charlie Brown!
Episode 9: Danger!
CHAPTER 1: GET READY!
Morning had risen in Australia. Jadan was cooking some breakfast for everyone as she liked to do. She was singing to the radio and even dancing some as she cooked. The first to enter the kitchen this particular morning was her cousin, Claudia. She saw her little cousin dancing and singing to herself. She smiled and even giggled at the scene.
"N-nice dance moves, cuz!" she said. "You have moves like J-Jagger!"
"Glad y' enjoyed th' show, Claude," said Jadan. "Breakfast will be ready soon."
"What's on the menu?"
"Scrambled duck eggs with cheese 'n ham, cold cereal, toast with butter 'n jam, and milk 'n orange juice."
"Delicious!" Just then, the rest of the group started coming in.
"Smells good, Jadan," yawned Peppermint Patty.
"So what's on the agenda for today?" asked Frieda.
"I figured we get our plan to rescue the 'roos started today," said Jadan. "Claire Montana is coming by later after breakfast. Andrew and Zac will also be 'ere."
"I can't wait to see the look on the faces of those poachers!" said a gung-ho Linus.
"I thought I was excited to take them down," Jadan replied. "You have me beat, Linus!"
"My baby gets passionate about a lot of things, especially something he believes in, Jadan," said Eudora. "You should have seen how he was when he used to believe in the Great Pumpkin."
"The Great Pumpkin?" asked a confused Joey, walking in. "What is that, some American horror film?"
"Joey, I used to believe in this, how do I put this, 'Santa Claus'-type figure," Linus began. "I called him the Great Pumpkin. The story goes is that every Halloween, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he finds the most sincere, and he deliver toys to all the good little children."
"Crikey!" laughed Joey. "That does have th' good workings for a movie!"
"Maybe you could bring the Great Pumpkin to life one day, Linus," said Marcie. "Like write a children's book."
"Now a bad idea, Marcie," said Linus. "I'll probably drive Lucy crazy if it sells a bunch of copies."
"Is there any doubt, Linus?" laughed Charlie Brown.
"Oh Charles," Jadan said, "are you about t' feed Snoopy?"
"I was about to give him his breakfast," Charlie Brown replied.
"Could you also feed Hops for me?"
"Sure, no problem, Jadan."
"Thanks. Your man's a prince, Frieda."
"You're preaching to the choir, Jadan," said Frieda. Charlie Brown grabbed Snoopy's supper dish. He turned to Claudia.
"You want me to feed Gracie for you, Claude?" he asked.
"Yeah, th-thank you, Charles," said Claudia. And Charlie Brown prepared the food for both dogs and went out to feed them and give Hops her food, as well.
"So when do we get together to rescue the kangaroos?" asked Patty.
"I'm thinking around noon," said Jadan, as she served everyone's breakfasts. "After everyone has had their breakfast, we will meet up 'ere an' discuss how we're going t' rescue the 'roos from th' poachers."
"This will be done at night, right?" asked Skylar.
"Yeah, it will, Sky," assured Jadan. Charlie Brown ran back inside. He looked upset.
"What's wrong, Charlie Brown?" asked a concerned Linus.
"Jadan!" he began. "Hops is not in her barn! I went to feed her and she was gone!"
"What?!" shuddered Jadan, getting upset.
"Snoopy and Gracie didn't see anything," Charlie Brown continued, "but there was no trace of her. She's missing!"
