Chat Noir sat on the roof of him and Ladybug's meet up spot. Ladybug was yet again late for their daily patrol. Recently, he's been feeling left out. First with the second attack of Style Queen (thanks Rena) then when he was told there was a two person plan made to defeat senti-bubbler, that didn't include him. He hated it. Chat looked at his ring and sighed.

"What am I even doing anymore?" Chat had been hearing a little voice inside his head speak throughout the past few weeks since Shadow Moth made an appearance.

"usless" It would say.

"lost cause"

"worthless"

"Waste of space"

"Ladybug doesn't need you, there are more competent Chat Noir's than you."

And everyday he listened to those words on repeat in his mind, waiting for the moment for him to snap. And then he would cry, repeating them over and over again.

"Ladybug is probably patrolling without you because she knows that you are going to slow her down." The voice in his mind mocked.

"No." He mumbled. He felt tears weld up in his eyes as he tried to blink them away. "She needs me." He said, trying to make him feel better about himself.

"No she doesn't. How many times as she just used you as a shield? How many times has she used you to simply break an akumatized object? How many times has she neglected you?"

"No no stop!" He yelled anguish. Chat held his head and shook it, hoping his demons would leave him.

"But it's the truth. All you ever wanted was the truth."

"But it's not, your lying." He cried, letting the tears fall over his mask.

"I think Ladybug would be better off without you in the picture."

That was it, that was his breaking point. Chat stood up, tears staining his face. "Ladybug!" He yelled. No answer. "LADYBUG!" He cried again. Everyone wasn't around for anymore. There was always ladybug but now she wasn't there in his moment of need. "I need you!" He kept yelling. "We promised to always be there for each other! You promised!"

Chat walked towards the edge of the roof and looked down. The ground was far below him. Was he really going to do this? The voice than came back, reminding him of all he is. Chat stood alone. He was neglected by his father, Nino was always busy with Alya and Marinette, his closet friend who he felt like her could talk to, wasn't around. He was hoping for Ladybug to show up but, she didn't. Chat was rejected by Ladybug but still tried, Chat was used by Ladybug but still loved her. The only that remained in his mind of her, were her empty promises.

Chat closed his eyes and took a deep breathe. His suit will protect him from the fall but not if he de-transformed mid fall. Chat had a plan, the worst plan ever but a plan. "I'm sorry I couldn't be the partner you needed Ladybug." He said, before leaning over the edge.

Chat felt arms embrace him and pull him back from ledge. He heard crying and looked down to see black spotted arms wrapped around his waste. Ladybug let go long enough for Chat to turned round and look at her. She cried into his chest. "Why?" She whimpered. "Why were you going to leave me?"

Chat looked down. "Because you don't need anymore."

Ladybug looked up and sniffled. "I always need you. I can't do this without you." She cried. Tears stained her face, eyes red from crying and exhaustion. "You and I, we have been doing this longer than any of the other heroes have. We have a stronger bond than them. Without you, I wouldn't be here. Without you, I wouldn't be the heroin I am today. I need you more than anyone."

"I'm sorry, I just felt like a nuisance." Chat confessed.

"And sometimes you are, but I still love you." Chat was shocked at what her heard.

"What did you just say?"

Ladybug wiped some tears off her face. "I love you."

Chat smiled, finally feeling wanted. "I love you too." Ladybug smiled as Chat gently placed his hands on Ladybug's face, wiping a few more tears with his thumb. He then leaned down to kiss her.
