Hello, everyone!Let me start this by saying, I keep my own journals. So I thought it would be interesting to write about a fictional character writing one, too.Now, I present to you, The Diary of Fitzwilliam Darcy!
It has been a while since I had doubted myself - a few years, to be exact. That is to be expected, I suppose. It is not everyday your world turns upside down. I come to visit my beloved sister, intending to surprise but in the end, I am the one who ends up being surprised.
The thought that the man responsible for my sister's distress is free out there, unrepentant, boils my blood.
To be sure, I should have known...
I should have been more careful, more watchful.
I should have been a better guardian to Georgiana.
Yet, I did not. Clearly, I failed her.
And not wanting to fail another person I care about is the major reason of my accompanying Bingley to this insignificant country filled with fortune hunters and uncivilized population.
I should take my leave.
I shall write, again, when I am able.
