Summary: "Problem Child, pack up your stuff. You're going home early. Your father's picking you up."
It all went downhill from there.
It was a relatively normal day in UA High School. Kaminari had fried his brain five times, Mineta had gotten caught trying to peek under girls skirts (and got punted across the school, as a result) and Bakugou had attacked the extras no less than twelve times before homeroom even ended. They totally deserved it, in his opinion.
Midoriya Izuku, for his part, was keeping to himself as he muttered under his breath, completely oblivious to the world around him. Izuku was trying to debate whether or not Nezu would be able to scare the League of Villains into quitting with just his words. He's pretty scary, for a mole. Rat. Dog. What is Nezu?
"Oi, Deku," Bakugou snapped, scowling over his shoulder. "Shut up."
Izuku blinked, owlishly taking in the gazes of his classmates. He flushed. Izuku really needed to work on his muttering problems. Sometimes he creeped out his classmates. "S-sorry, Kacchan. Sorry, guys." Bakugou smirked, probably satisfied with the attention he'd gotten from Izuku having acknowledged him first and as a separate entity to the class. He'd always been needy like that.
Iida stood, the harsh clang of his chair colliding with Jiro's desk drawing attention. "I would like to make certain that everybody present is prepared for the upcoming exams!"
Oh, right. Izuku had almost forgotten about the summer exams. Between the entire situation with the Hero Killer and now, he'd almost forgotten that they needed to take those. Of course, he'd still been studying! He just… might have gotten distracted with some Limited Edition All Might merch that was dropping just an hour after he started studying so he needed to be ready on the website to order it just when it went on sale. He'd refreshed the page fifty-seven times, but it was worth it! Izuku was soon going to be one of the fourteen owners of the newest All Might figurine. He wondered if Bakugou had also ordered one of them. He used to be one of All Might's biggest fans─still was, too. Izuku could tell. Kacchan was good at hiding it, but Izuku knew that Kacchan was just embarrassed about liking the Hero. Not that he'd ever say that, of course. He didn't want to get murdered before he could become a hero.
Bakugou scoffed. "Shut up, Four Eyes. If someone fails, it's their own fucking fault."
Izuku sighed as Iida gasped. Where was Aizawa when you needed him?
"Bakugou, such language is hardly appropriate─" Izuku bit his lip. Wasn't it Iida who tried to murder someone just a little while ago? He barely contained his laugh.
The door slammed open as Aizawa walked into the room. Izuku was slightly miffed when he didn't see the yellow sleeping bag. Aizawa stood in front of the class, glaring them (specifically Kacchan) down with red eyes. When the students calmed, he turned to look at Izuku.
Oh, there was no way this was good. What had he done recently? He hadn't had any run-ins with the League of Villains, he hadn't broken any bones or laws and he'd even been going to sleep at his actual bedtime! (Last night didn't count─a Limited Edition All Might figurine was on the line).
"Problem Child, pack up your stuff," Aizawa said. Was he getting arrested? Maybe somebody found out about what actually happened with Stain and he was getting arrested! But why him and not Iida or Todoroki? Oh, it's because they both come from a family of heroes! They had connections! Izuku didn't have connections. He was definitely getting arrested. "You're going home early." Or not, he spoke too soon. Maybe Mom needed his help with something. "Your father's picking you up."
…
…
…
Izuku blinked. His left eye twitched. His back burned from scars that had long healed.
He genuinely didn't know what to say. His father… was picking him up? No. No way. That's not… that's not fucking possible.
His father─Hisashi─ couldn't possibly be here. Hisashi couldn't… he couldn't. It wasn't… no way.
Meanwhile, Bakugou Katsuki was having very similar, if not angrier, thoughts. Midoriya Hisashi─the fucking bastard─was back. He was here for Deku. God knows what he wanted with the loser. Probably his quirk. The fucker had always been weirdly obsessed with quirks. He must've seen Deku at the Sports Festival and decided to come back into his life.
Bakugou was going to kill him.
Aizawa's eyes narrowed. The Problem Child hadn't moved. His expression barely changed, but Bakugou─the other problem child─looked like a feral dog at the mere mention of Midoriya's father.
"Problem Child," he said. "Get your stuff. Your father's come to collect you." There. Bakugou jumped up, growling loudly. He protectively placed himself in front of Midoriya, whose hands were shaking ever so slightly.
Iida frowned. "Bakugou, you can't just stop─"
"I sure fucking can!" Bakugou snarled. His eyes focused on Aizawa. "Where is that fucker?!"
Bakugou was beyond pissed. Nothing could stop him from attacking Hisashi. How dare he show up? He had no fucking right! After everything he fucking did, he had no fucking right to appear in the same damn country as Deku. Nevermind at his fucking school.
"At the front desk. Why?" Midoriya whimpered quietly, drawing the eyes of his classmates.
"D-Deku?" Uraraka frowned. "Are you okay? Is Bakugou scaring you?" It was the second most logical conclusion. A lot had already reached (and discarded) the first, because if it were true, so help that fucker, he'd never get the chance to breathe again.
Bakugou started for the door, causing Midoriya.
Izuku knew exactly what he was planning and he didn't approve. He didn't need another friend to attempt murder in the same month.
"Kacchan, don't─"
"Don't try to fucking stop me, Deku." Bakugou pulled the door open, storming down the hallway.
"Kacchan!" Izuku scrambled after his childhood friend. "You can't! This isn't─you're not─I can't─"
Aizawa didn't waste time as he followed his students down the hall and staircase. Subsequently, all of 1-A chased after him.
"Deku, he doesn't deserve your sympathy. Shut the fuck up."
"Um, he's my dad! I can decide what the fuck I want to do about him!"
Oh, shit.
Midoriya Izuku had just cursed.
Fuck. Shit. Somebody was going to die today.
"You haven't seen him since you were seven, Deku! And that fucker isn't allowed to show up here and fucking kidnap you just 'cause you got a quirk!"
"Um, I haven't been kidnapped!"
"Yeah, no shit. But why else do you think he's here?! Didn't he run a sex trafficking ring or something?!"
"No, a drug one. And he was more of a 'kill people and beat up his family' kind of villain and─we're getting off track! Kacchan, you can't kill Hisashi!"
"Uh, why not?!" Bakugou demanded.
"Because you're trying to be a hero, not a villain?"
Bakugou scowled. "I'll be the best fucking hero there is, Deku. And you can't stop me. Look, there the fucker is!" He stormed into the front office. The secretary frowned at his (and the entirety of 1-A's) sudden appearance and looked at the black haired man who sat on one of the benches, reading a bland looking magazine in boredom.
Izuku's blood froze. His eyes felt wet. That was pretty normal, all things considered. Izuku cried a lot and to see… him after all this time… it was horrible.
Bakugou took one look at him and let out a ferocious yell. Hisashi barely had time to dodge the attack when he was knocked onto his back by Bakugou's kick.
"You!"
Hisashi chuckled nervously as he shuffled away from Bakugou. "I─do I know you, kid? I'm just here to pick up my son─"
"Cut the bullshit, bastard! You know exactly who I am and you're not taking him anywhere, shitwad!"
Hisashi looked around the waiting room for support when his gaze landed on his shaking son. "Ah, Izuku! Would you mind helping me out here? I'd never attack a minor, even if they went after me first, so I'm in a bit of a pickle here."
I'd never attack a minor.
Green lightning danced across Izuku's skin as he looked Hisashi in the eye for the first time in nearly a decade.
"Kacchan," Izuku said quietly. "I changed my mind. Have at it."
Hisashi's eyes widened. What the fuck happened to the timid bastard who could barely even look in his direction? He was so gonna murder his son when this was over. Here he'd come, willing to offer the boy a position in his gang and he was going to let this fucker attack him? Clearly, leaving the boy with Inko had been a mistake. She'd raised him to be ungrateful. Weak. Hisashi had thought the boy quirkless, but he'd left, yet Izuku clearly had a strong quirk. He felt like he should've known. No bastard that bore his seed could be such quirkless. But he was also clearly useless.
"Uh…" Kirishima looked between the man on the ground and Bakugou. "Should we stop this?"
"Hell no," Uraraka snapped, glaring Hisashi down. "That fucker obviously abused Deku. He deserves whatever Bakugou's gonna serve up." She cupped her hands together. "Go, Deku!"
Now, Aizawa could stop this, but he also agreed with Uraraka. Still, he pulled out his phone, texting the teachers' second group chat that he was an unwilling participant in. And no, he didn't make any of the names. That was all thanks to Midnight.

Izuku couldn't stop his grin. His friends had just beaten the shit out of his father and he couldn't be happier.
"Y-you guys─" he put his hand on his heart. Most would assume that somebody had just given Izuku a very thoughtful gift. He looked at Bakugou, who was panting and glaring down at Hisashi's crumpled form. "Kacchan."
Bakugou looked at Izuku. His eyes were softer than expected, especially since they were being directed at Bakugou, but it wasn't like this would affect his whole 'tough guy' persona. He just beat the shit out of a whole ass man. "What, Nerd?" he asked without his usual bite.
Izuku only pulled him into a tight hug, burying his face in his friend's chest. "Thank you."
"Whatever, Nerd."
Bakugou glared at their classmates.
Nezu arrived on scene. He looked at Hisashi as if he were nothing more than a speck of dirt on a clean kitchen countertop. "Well, that's interesting," he murmured.
"What is it?" Aizawa asked, glaring at Hisashi.
Nezu raised his voice. "It seems that Bakugou has successfully apprehended the American fire villain, Ignis. Quite a commendable feat, I assure you. There'll be no consequences, since he was clearly acting in order to protect his dear, dear friend, Mr. Midoriya. You know, it really makes you think─"
"Hey!" Midnight hissed. "Stop trying to force Bakudeku! Kiribaku is clearly going to win!"
"I dunno, Nemuri," Yamada said. "After that, I'm beginning to doubt whether you'll win that bet."
Jiro blinked slowly. That was something she never wanted to know.
She'll definitely be telling everybody that their teachers are betting on their relationships later.
Bakugou suddenly pulled Midoriya away and they both disappeared for the next thirty minutes.
Nobody ever found out what happened in that empty classroom.
(Or, nobody would've, had Hagakure not followed them and proceeded to tell everyone exactly what she saw. She spent over a week hiding from Bakugou.)
Nezu gleefully took his winnings from his fellow teachers and it was never spoken of again.
Midoriya Hisashi was sentenced to a lot of fucking time in prison. No, seriously, that was one hundred percent All Might's influence. Nobody but the Symbol of Peace would be able to get a man sentenced to one thousand and forty two years in prison, especially when they're an American citizen.
Izuku couldn't possibly be happier. Hisashi was gone. Before it had been nothing but a distant thought of 'I wonder what happened to him' with a twinge of fear (okay, a lot of fear) tacked onto it. But now…
Now, he was so fucking happy. That was a direct quote from Bakugou.
And, of course, Aizawa was the one to ruin Izuku's peace.
"What do you mean I have to go to therapy?!"
