No joke, someone on tumblr actually posted some nonsense that made me laugh about Tekken pairings. This person also constantly ranted about other people shipping Jin with someone who is not Xiaoyu. It was a long time ago and I wrote this many years ago but just left it sitting unpublished. Only publishing now that the Tekken Fandom is pretty much dead and for Evelyn's sake so hopefully no fangirl gets annoyed and starts their cyber bullying. I only refrained from posting earlier since we already had a couple of entertaining fics that were anti towards that the Xiaoyu-Jin pairing.
I believe that pairing is very unrealistic, toxic and over-romanticized on the internet.
For those who ship it, don't take it personally.
Love Letter
.
.
.
Fanmail. Hatemail.
As expected like any other celebrity, Jin had tons and tons of letters. Unopened letters. Alisa was put in charge of disposing them but she couldn't deal with the amount. Her chainsaws would give up in frustration and the entire mail room would be scattered in torn up pieces of letters. It was a bitch to clean up, Nina heard the cleaners complain. She invites Jin to read at least one of them. Just in case they had dangerous enemies who loved to leave riddles behind.
"I couldn't care less what people thought of me." Jin scoffs.
"I'll cook again for you if you come with." Nina says.
Immediately he gets up from his damned throne and follows her. Pffft, such a man he was, Nina thinks.
Right now, Alisa shows them three closets, each filled with fanmail.
"We have so many of these." Alisa says, plucking out one of many.
Alisa hands them a pretty lilac envelop. "It smells weird!"
"You think this is going to be fun?" Jin asks, folding his arms.
"It may be."
The envelop smelled suspiciously of bubblegum. Nina opens it. It's when she unfolds the letter, the fun starts.
HAI JIN!
WATASHI WA HIRANO MIHARU DESU NE! ^_^
AITAI YO! AITAI YO! AITAI YO!
Amused Nina raises an eyebrow. Wasn't 'Aitai yo' supposed to be said between lovers? She places the letter closer to Jin so he could read with her.
Y NO U BE WITH YOUR DREAMGIRL?
Jin curses under his breath. Manga trash. Anime trash. Just trash that silly nerdy men read on their spare time before throwing themselves back into a Fifety hour shift. Shounen Anime was the worst type of Japanese entertainment. Rotting brains with pointless romances with a silly toxic girl and an emo guy who was self-absorbed. He despised the trope of silly girl saving the dark guy by screaming out the three words. Pain doesn't go away that easily. Someone who has never been in the same boat as him would never understand….
"Jin are you reading this?" Nina breaks him out of his stormy thoughts. "If this is too much we can stop." She says gently.
He lowly grunts and forces himself to read the letter further.
Let me give you big reason to be with her.
Jin is an INTJ so his ideal partner is *drumrolls* Ling Xiaoyu, an ENFP.
Jin why can't you see that? It's so natural. She's been keeping you alive in her heart. Surely you notice her every morning at the Zaibatsu gates. Your dumb guards don't let her in. What do you want her to do? Kick they asses because she can you know!
But she says to need them to help you carry on doing your awful work as you must have good reasons too! See she's a lovely bean!
They even dared to ask her if she was lying about your friendship with her! Sick fucks!
Jin pinches the bridge of his nose to take a break. He closes his eyes and sighs deeply in annoyance. He regrets the day he accepted the Chinese girl's offer of friendship. Regrets sometimes helping her with her homework and accompanying her and her other friends to the funfair. Regrets being kind to her in his school days.
Now she was harassing him by harassing his bodyguard and his Tekken Force. Daily. In. And Out. Telling people she was close to him. Persuading them that she has that special spot in his heart. That they were already married. Jin never handled his official phone number. He only had an internal number shared with a few employees. His secretary had to deal with the general calls. Jin was sure if that girl got a hold of his number, she wouldn't stop ringing him. 24/7, 7/11, every tick of the damn clock, she would invade his privacy.
At school she was always so touchy feely, grabbing him wherever she felt like with that carefully crafted innocent look on her face after a photo flash from nowhere appeared.
I wish I never met her, Jin angrily thinks. Another pain his dear grandfather inflicted on him.
He peeks at the letter again.
80 percent of people on this world are Guardians and Artisans. They will never see the beauty of a INTJ (Rational) and an ENFP (Idealist-CHAMPION!) because they're dumb okay? We're the special snowflakes cuz we rare. I am an ENTP just for your information, in case you accuse me of being a dumbo.
Everytime before a new tournament comes out, Xiao makes the effort of making her costume similar to yours. She remembers you love tracksuits. She spent so many yens on getting the best materials, real bird feathers, orange silk and OMG she brought a cheongsam just for you so when you finally see her, you will see she is a beautiful girl now and ready to marry you. Right now as I write, she is getting your MZ symbol tattoo on her new dress. See how much devoted she is to you?!
O_O
I had to argue her out of getting a tattoo.
Jeez -_- Jin, seriously. How dumb are you. Why you start war? You know it will hurt Xiao and make it harder for you guys to be together! People will not accept you now. URGH.
Please just meet her and play the victim so people let her marry you in peace and not call for your head on a stick.
I will cite psychologists on why you and Xiao are the bestest pair! We have scientific backing!
Ps: Look at the picture of Xiao holding a Jin Plushie! She says you better not be banging that blonde chick you have on your arm or your cousin okay? Someone even passed rumours about you and that blonde. Put an end to it and stay loyal to Xiao!
And don't forget to invite me to the wedding! 3 aCtually I will be the main bridesmaid so…
Love Miharu xoxoxo
"Well?" Nina asks Jin. A photo falls out of a girl in pigtails holding a Jin plushie over her head. His eyes darken beneath his bangs. A scowl appears over his face. He doesn't even touch the photo.
Pure hatred or extreme dislike? Jin isn't sure of the difference anymore.
One thing he knows is that if they were in a team during a tournament and that she was getting her ass beat during a match, he would sit still and let her get more damage before helping out. He would move faster for strangers.
Still she'll chase him. Come after him. Wanting to attain him.
Hatred hammers his heart. He had to breathe deeply to calm himself down and not to let his anger cloud his face. He didn't want Nina thinking that he was just another angry emo.
One.
Two.
Three.
Jin clears his throat, "That's…..embarrassing."
"If you say so." Nina smirks. She couldn't imagine being in his place and to be honest she would rather fight a Mishima than have a crazy stalker of her own. She had her fair share of secret admirers but Nina made sure no one dared to invade her personal space.
"I don't harbour any intense feeling for either of them." Jin's voice reverberates through the room. "Nor have I done such thing that warrants such strong emotions for me from them both."
He sounds genuinely confused, uncomfortable and slightly upset over the issue. Nina wonders how long he's known that he has a stalker.
"Why don't you just meet this Xiaoyu girl so I don't have to deal with the brat every time the guards call me?"
"No!" Jin immediately shuts the idea down and Nina smirks. "I mean, no. I just have no interest in picking up a friendship that ended years ago."
"Ling Xiaoyu doesn't seem to think so."
Jin huffs. "Then she's crazy and delusional."
"I think we can both agree on that." Nina replies. "But poor Alisa having to deal with all those letters."
Nina hands Alisa the letter and she takes it over to the pile for shredding.
"I'm still not meeting with Ling Xiaoyu." Jin folds his arms. "Besides, isn't it your job to keep all kinds of crazy away from me?"
Nina raises both hands and nods. "Okay. You have a point."
"I often do." Jin cockily responds.
"Hire a stalker for her." Nina suggests. "Let her know how it feels."
Jin scoffs. It wasn't a bad idea.
"I think I have something in mind."
"What?"
Jin smirks, his eyes gleaming. "Nancy."
Along with the sound of chainsaws chewing away at paper, Nina's laughter fills the room.

A/N:
Poor Jin, he may think Nancy the robot would terrify Xiaoyu but if anything, Xiaoyu will be convinced that Jin really likes her !
Also want to point out that:
MBTI isn't a compatibility tool.
It's just pseudo-science. Enneagram is more reliable imo and so is the instinct variants. People are more than some labels. Some more complex than others. Experiences and other things shape people.
Two healthy minded people with shared experiences (which Jin/Nina pretty much have), same level of maturity and yes, the same love language are the most compatible.
Plus introverts tend to go for other introverts. :p
