Julia was sitting on a morning meeting in her glass wall office, when a new message flashed on her mobile's screen…
'Lunch with me? 😉' she grabbed her phone and just smiled instinctively as she saw David's name on the screen.
'Sorry, but I can't 😞' she texted back. 'There will be meetings all day long…'
'But we'll meet tonight, won't we?' he asked and she was thinking on what a great decision was to work separately, because since they weren't together all day long, David changed a lot. He became such a romantic guy, texting and calling her quite a few times every day, always yearning to meet her… it was such a good feeling to know that he really wants to be with her.
'?😊' another message reminded her that she was lost in thoughts.
'Of course, I can't wait for that 😘 I'll try to get home at 8 pm…' she typed in quickly, biting her lip with a smile on her face.
'Then what would be if I would rather pick you up at work?'
'Are you sure?' she typed.
'Yeah, of course 😊'
'But that means at least two extra driving hours for you…' she texted, while she perfectly knew his answer.
'And an extra hour with you 😘'
'😘😘😘' that's what she wanted to hear.
'So I'll wait downstairs at 7 pm, okay? 😉'
'But of course, it's more than okay 😘 you know how much I love when you take me home 😘' she texted back happily.
'I know 😘'
"Ma'am?" Sampson's voice woke her up from her dreamworld. "Ma'am…"
"Hm?" she asked absentmindedly, looking up from her mobile.
"What's your opinion, ma'am?"
"Sorry, but what was the subject?…"
OOOOOOOOOO
It was already afternoon and Julia was still sitting in her office on the who-knows-which meeting, when she instinctively looked up and through the glass panels her eyes met with David's as he was leaning against the wall with his boyish smile, an ice coffee and a little brown paper bag in his hand… she simply could not control her smile as she noticed him, while he just loved her reaction… it was so good to know how happy she was to see him and as the people in her office followed her gaze, they perfectly knew it could only mean one thing…
"Uhm, I think we're done here for now…" she said, turning back to her colleagues. "So we should take a break before the next meeting, right?" she advised and they immediately started packing and leaving her office. As she escorted everybody outside, she just stood in her doorway with a teasing smile on her face…
"Excuse me sir, can I help you?" she asked in her flirting way.
"Uhm, yes I really hope you can." he answered charmingly, loving their little games. "It seems I'm quite lost in this big place, everything is so similar here."
"Maybe are you looking for someone?"
"As a matter of fact yes, I'm looking for a lady."
"I think I would need a bit more information to help, so could you specify who are you looking for?"
"Sure," he smiled. "Actually, I don't know her name…"
"Really?" she raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I only saw her once, but she completely enchanted me."
"Oh, then she could be quite a lady." she remarked with a smile.
"She is amazing… tall, brown, sexy curly hair and the most gorgeous pair of legs I've ever seen."
"Hmm…" she pretended thinking. "I think I already have a guess, but could you tell me why exactly are you looking for her?"
"Actually…" he leant closer, "I wanna tell her that I'm madly in love with her."
"Well, then it seems you're just at the right place." she remarked with shining eyes, while he just cupped her face and kissed her lovingly.
"Uhm… I think we have an audience here." whispered David with a smile against her lips.
"What? An audience?" she asked, looking out to corridor where everybody turned back to their work as a flash. "Oh, that! Don't bother with them, just come on in." she smiled and stepped aside to let him in. "But I think you were right... I should really need that window blinds soon."
"And not to mention a pull-out sofa," he added with a grin.
"A sofa? Oh please," she rolled her eyes playfully. "Here's my desk…"
"So true," he chuckled and drew her closer with his free hand.
"Not that I would complain…" she was toying with his shirt now, "But I've thought we'll meet after work."
"Yeah, but I was sure that you haven't eaten anything since morning, so I popped into your favorite coffee shop for an ice coffee and a blueberry cheesecake what you love so much."
"Aww, thank you," she kissed him gratefully. "You're so sweet."
"I can't let you starving all day long, right?" he smiled, and put down the things in his hand. "And I must confess something… I couldn't wait until we'll meet."
"I totally feel it," she nodded. "I'm so glad you popped in, really… oh, and do remind me to thank you somehow this in the evening." she added cheekily.
"Don't worry, I'll certainly not forget that." he chuckled. "But mostly because I can't stop thinking of you."
"Really?" her eyes were shining.
"Uh-huh, I miss you so much. The time we spend together is simply not enough."
"I know... it's not enough for me neither."
"Then you should really have to think on that vacation what I've mentioned before."
"I wish I could do that David, really." she just sighed. "But in this job there's no such thing as a vacation."
"I think that's a shame."
"I know, believe me..." she stroked his face softly, trying to comfort him.
"But if we can't go on a vacation... then what we're gonna do?"
"I don't know, but maybe there's another solution..."
"Really?" his eyes were full of hope and joy, "What kind of a solution?"
"Well, I think we could spend more time together if we..." she started, when a loud noise cut them off, they heard sirens from the street downstairs. "What the hell is going on here?" she asked stepping to the window.
"Oh that's for me… we're on a mission and I just popped in to use the toilet." he winked.
"With an ice coffee and a slice of cake in your hand?"
"Yeah, exactly." he just grinned.
"Then you should go before Craddock will catch you."
"I just wanted to kiss you at least once before we'll meet."
"And I must say there wasn't any mistake in your intention." she smiled, stepping closer. "So here's another one for the road…" she whispered and kissed him lovingly. "But now go, I really don't want to get you in trouble with your boss."
"But it worth every minute of it, believe me." he remarked happily, catching her lips for one last time. "By the way, what was the thing you were talking about? You know, the solution…"
"I think it's better if we discuss it in the evening."
"Oh, okay." he agreed, but he was really curious.
"And now, I'm escorting you to the elevator, right?"
"Hey, are you throwing me out?" he teased her.
"Look, if she won't catch you now, you can pop in another time too."
"How crafty… I really like your reasoning." he grinned and opened the door for them, when everybody outside started to work again, it was too exciting and cute not to watch them…
Seeing David, the twenty something years old girls just sighed dreamily, they couldn't imagine a more handsome guy, while the evil tongued women didn't understand what he wants from a Julia type of woman. The half of the male workers thought she must be awesome in bed, the other half thought he just wants a position, while Rob was totally freaked out, what the hell she wants from a guy like David instead of a gentleman like him… so everybody had a different opinion, but most of them agreed in one thing, that David was a real blessing for all of them. Since they were together, Julia was incomparably light and kind…
"So I'll pick you up around seven, okay?" he asked, turning back from the elevator with his boyish smile.
"Sure, I cannot wait for that." she answered sweetly. "Oh, the elevator is here…"
"Hey, are you going downstairs with me?" he asked with a grin as the door opened and he stepped in. "Come…"
"I don't think it would be a good idea David."
"But why? About security reasons?"
"Gosh, no." she chuckled, "I just know I would surely push the stop button."
"And what's the problem with that? I'm totally in, come on!" he grabbed her hand with a grin.
"No, really..." she giggled, then leant closer. "But I give you an advice... try to get some sleep at work, because we surely won't sleep tonight." she whispered in a kiss and his reaction was priceless as the door slowly closed between them.
OOOOOOOOOO
A few hours later she could finally stepped out from her workplace… the sun was on its way down, the evening air was cool and refreshing and he was already waiting for her, leaning against his car... meeting with him was her favorite part of the day, it felt like arriving home in every sense of the word… as he saw her at the entrance, he immediately started walking towards her across the little square, while the happiness in his eyes was cozy and comforting, not to mention the way as he took her face in his hands and kissed her lovingly as he finally reached her… he kissed her like he haven't seen her for weeks, and it felt exactly like that, she couldn't get enough of him. It was the best thing in the world, kissing and snuggling up to him like a reward after a long and trying day…
"I've missed you so much…" he whispered happily as they slowly broke the kiss, still holding her close.
"Yeah..." she smiled absentmindedly, "Me too."
"Hey, you okay?"
"Yes, I'm just thinking on that vacation what you've mentioned before."
"Oh, do you really?"
"Uh-huh, I can't get it out of my head. I definitely need much more time with you, because this is simply not enough."
"So this is what you wanted to discuss when we get home?"
"No, but you said it right… home."
"…"
"I think... I think we should move in together David." she finally said it, barely dared to look at him. "I know it's a bit fast, but..."
"You're sure?" he cut in happily.
"Yeah... so that means you want it, right?"
"But of course I want it! I don't want anything else more than that… gosh, a home with you." he tasted the words with a dreamy sigh.
"I'm so glad you like the idea, really." she felt an indescribable relief. "I was afraid of ruining this whole thing between us if it's too early..."
"No, not at all." he protested. "I hated every single time when I had to go home, I felt so lonely and miserable without you."
"As I... but fortunately we don't have to feel that way anymore." she just smiled, her eyes were telling more than a thousand words… and a very lucky paparazzi took the pic of his life. Their relationship was not a new thing, but people truly loved it, mostly the pics about these stolen moments… "I think it's really time to go home."
"Sure," he nodded happily and just put his arm around her to keep her safe. "But I must say I loved that article about you…"
"Really?" she asked sweetly as they were heading to the car. "Which article?"
"The one that says, 'After a few hundred years... Juliet is finally in love again.'"
The End
