"Hi"- Regular speech

"Hi"- Future Midoriya speech

The battle had been long and hard. All around them was nothing but ruins. Their battle had carried them across the entire city, and their fists were colliding so powerfully it reduced entire skyscrapers to rubble. But at the end of it all, he had done it. He had won.

Izuku Midoriya, the young hero known as Deku, stared down as the prostrate form of Tenko Shimura, known to the world at large as Tomura Shigaraki. Multiple ragged breaths go past Midoriya's lips as darkness starts to creep in around the edges of his vision. If he was completely honest with himself, Shigaraki's position on the ground looked really inviting right now. The battle had taken everything Midoriya had. He was covered in incalculable injuries and who knows how many broken bones. All he wanted to do...was just sleep.

Midoriya's eyes start to slowly close and he starts to slowly fall forward, to join his fallen foe in a nice nap on the ground.

A sound causes Midoriya to stop before he can fall too far. He catches himself as the sound gets steadily louder. He could soon recognize it as the familiar thump of a helicopter's rotors. He slowly, and painfully brings his head up to spot the circling news helicopter. That's when he remembers. This entire battle had been broadcast to the entire nation...and they were still filming.

All over the nation of Japan seemingly the entire population has been glued to whatever television screen they could reach so they could bear witness to one of the most titanic hero battles the country has seen, even rivaling some of the ones All Might, the former Symbol of Peace, had been a part of. And now this young hero, barely out of high school, had just beaten one of the biggest threats Japan had faced ever since the reign of All for One. And on top of all that, this hero had made sure to save as many civilians as he could, even throwing his own body in front of attacks to protect civilians that had not been able to evacuate. And even then, despite all the injuries this hero had sustained, he had still won. Now the entirety of Japan watched, to see what this young hero would do next.

Midoriya looks up at the circling helicopter for a few moments before shifting his gaze back down to the pone form of Shigaraki. Finally his gaze shifted to his left arm, probably one of his least damaged body parts. He knew what he had to do.

(Cue All Might's Theme)

All over Japan, the citizens' eyes widened in realization as they watched this young hero slowly but steadily raise his left arm, his head held low, looking barely able to stand. Then when his left arm was fully stretched to the sky, he clenched his fist and his previously shaky stance became firm and strong. Whatever the newscaster was saying was drowned out by the uproar that came from the crowds watching the broadcast. All of Japan was cheering for this young hero. The one that saved them all. Soon enough they all started cheering the name of their new champion. "DEKU! DEKU! DEKU!"

"It would be a while before it became official. There was so much confusion after that final battle. But...somehow I knew…"

The helicopter was too far away for the camera to make out what kind of expression Deku had on his face. But if one was close enough they could see the young man had the biggest brightest smile as tears streamed down his cheeks. "All Might...mom...everyone…" muttered the once quirkless boy now a fully fledged hero. "I did it...I finally did it."

"At that moment I knew. I had accomplished my dream. I had become the world's greatest hero. The new Symbol of Peace."
