Author's note: I do not own NCIS: Hawaii or its characters.
Just a little drabble featuring Kate, Lucy, and Lucy's fear of water.
Lucy and Kate were at the hotel pool, Kate in the water and Lucy on the side, dipping her feet in. They were gently splashing each other and playing music, and pretending that they weren't eyeing each other in their bikinis.
"Hey, why don't you jump in? I'm right here," Kate offered. She reached out and put her hands on her girlfriend's hips. Lucy shook her head a little.
"No," she whispered, trembling just at the idea of slipping into the water. She was clinging to Kate, desperate to stay mostly dry.
"Hey. I'm right here. I'm not going to let you go all the way under, okay?" Kate murmured. She gently tugged at Lucy's hips. "Hey. Do you trust me?" she asked quietly. Lucy nodded a little, then slowly wrapped her arms around her neck. Kate gently tugged her into the water. "I got you," she whispered. Lucy slowly slid into the water, wrapping her legs around her girlfriend's waist. Soon, she was all the way in, clinging tight to Kate. They shared a sweet kiss, then Kate slowly and gently let her go. They were both standing in the water, water sloshing around their waists. Kate slowly led her girlfriend into the deeper area, but she was wary of how deep it was to her much shorter girlfriend. Lucy giggled a little, then playfully splashed Kate.
