Rafi's Flashback

Hello Rio Lovers! I am back with another story for you! As I mentioned before I would be writing a prequel to 'The Samba Club vs The Jongo Club'. There were questions involving "How did Blu know how to read if he lived in Rio his whole life?" And "How did he know to get on a plane to Minnesota?" Well my friends…You see I wanted to confuse you, so I could eventually write the reasons in the prequel which I planned since day 1! Well I think I've explained enough! Let's get straight to it shall we?

Rio de Janeiro…a beautiful and glorious place to be! There is no place like it in all of the world.

The scenery was absolutely perfect, from the blazing hot sun to the crystal blue sky. This was a great day for our favourite feathery friends.

In the city of Rio, our favourite samba birds Nico and Pedro we're putting on a show at their brand new club. It was previously owned by the evil military macaw known as Julio, and his two sons Douglas and Sandro.

Sadly Douglas died several months ago and Nightfly went to visit his grave every day. I mean his body wasn't even in the ground but they did set up a tombstone in the jungle outside of his old tree as a sign of respect.

The party had just ended and Nico and Pedro waved goodbye to the crowd before Michael and Kipo escorted everyone out of the club.

"Man…that party was popping! Don't you agree bro?" Pedro beamed while looking at his best friend with a warm smile.

"Yes I agree. It was a shame that Blu couldn't make it because he's currently looking after Jewel! How much longer is her pregnancy going to take?" Nico asked while looking at the cardinal with a curious expression.

"I have no idea! Let's go check on them to see if she's ok!"

"Are you sure that's a good idea? The last time you saw Jewel you made fun of her mood swings!" The yellow canary smirked while leaning against the bar.

"Oh I'm sure she's over that by now! It's been a couple of weeks since then, so I'm sure she's more concerned about her eggs! Now come on! We will tell Rafi and Nightfly to meet us there!"

"Fine! But I'm not cleaning the blood off your butt again!" Nico whispered in embarrassment.

Pedro shrugged his shoulders and turned to Peter who was cleaning the bar with Diante and Raul.

"Yo white hawks! We are heading over to Blu and Jewel's crib! You guys ok to finish locking up shop?" Pedro asked the trio who nodded their heads in agreement.

"Go right ahead guys! We will finish up here and then head to the beach pad. We are meeting Malcom, Lexi and Tiny for a catch up!" Michael responded while throwing an orange in the garbage can behind him.

Nico and Pedro waved goodbye to their friends and flew outside of the club. On the way they bumped into Nightfly and Tanya who were on an evening fly.

"Hey Nightfly! You heading over to Blu's later on?" Nico asked while fist bumping his blue friend.

"Absolutely! Tanya and I were just on an evening fly, then she was going to meet Zara by the beach. I'll see you guys over there in about fifteen minutes! I'll grab Rafael on the way!"

"Great! See you then!" Nico responded with a bow and the four birds separated to head in their respectful directions.

Meanwhile, in a hollow near the beach. A loud groan could be heard in the area. And boy was it loud! But we all know that it came from Jewel.

"AHHHH THAT HURTS BLU!" Jewel shouted angrily while throwing a mango at his head. She suddenly realised that she made a mistake and tried to calm down. " I'm so so sorry Blu! Here, let me help you honey!"

"Don't worry sweetie! I know it hurts now! But you heard what Eva said. It could take three weeks for the egg to lay! It's only been eighteen days!" Blu groaned in response while rubbing the back of his head.

"I am sorry Blu! I just want these eggs to be laid already!"

"And they will! But for now just rest. We have Nico, Pedro, Rafael and Nightfly coming over to see how you're doing!" Blu beamed with a warm smile. However…Jewel's face soon turned into a glum look.

"Blu…we talked about this! I told you I didn't want anybody checking up on me!"

"I know sweetie! But they're our best friends! I'm sure you can handle them for one night! Besides…Rafael is actually coming for a separate reason."

"Oh?" Jewel responded with a little curiosity while arching a curious eyebrow.

"He's going to tell you what happened during the bachelor party in Minnesota! It's the story of how I learned to read! You're going to love it!" Blu encouraged his mate while patting her on the back.

"Well…I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a little story to keep me entertained, why not!" Jewel replied happily while kissing Blu on the cheek.

Suddenly, all four birds flew up to the hollow entrance and started knocking on the bark.

"Lovebirds! May we come in?" Rafael asked with excitement while waving at the blue macaws.

"Yes of course! Come in guys!" Jewel responded while positioning herself in the nest next to Blu who held her wing gently.

Rafael flew in, followed by Nightfly, Nico and Pedro. The blue macaw male walked up to the blue couple and hugged them both gently.

"It's good to see you guys again! I haven't seen you since the grand opening of the new samba club! How's it going Jewel? Is your talon feeling any better?" Nightfly asked while placing a soft comforting wing on her shoulder. She smiled at him and started rubbing her talon.

"It feels so much better thanks! Just a bit annoying how I haven't laid these eggs yet!" She responded and looked at her belly which was bigger than normal.

"Don't worry Jewel! You'll be a great mother for when the little ckicky chicks arrive!" Pedro remarked while high fiving Blu.

"Thanks Pedro! How's your butt? Sorry about that by the way!"

"It's cool bird! It was my fault for making fun of your mood swings! I know it's more difficult to control them when you're pregnant!"

"Yeah…well Rafael! Are you ready to tell us the story?" She asked her toucan friend who sat by the hollow entrance in a comfortable position.

"Oh yeah! Everybody sit down! Because this is going to be a good story!" Rafael announced to his friends as they all sat opposite him and waited anxiously to hear the story.

"Well just over two and a half years ago, I proposed to my darling wife Eva! So I put Blu in charge to set up my bachelor party! It all started at the old samba club…

Rafael's Flashback

Rafael was in a hurry to reach his friends at the samba club. He had some amazing news to share and he was so anxious to tell his best friends at the club.

He flew straight through the open door and burst through the curtain, darting his head around the club until he spotted them.

"Yo guys! GUYS!" Rafael announced to his friends as he ran towards them. Blu, Nico, Pedro and Kipo were standing at the bar talking to Douglas who just finished serving the last customers of the night.

"Woah! What's the excitement for buddy? Did you find a female bird bathing by herself again?" Pedro innocently asked. This earned him a slap from Douglas on the back of his head. "OW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!"

"You know he has a girlfriend Pedro!" The military macaw whispered to him angrily while wiping the bar down with a small rag.

"Anyway…I got some news! Me and my girlfriend Eva…ARE ENGAGED!" Rafael beamed while hugging Blu immediately.

"Congratulations buddy! I'm so happy to hear you are finally going to tie the knot! We have to celebrate this!" Blu remarked happily, as he leaned against the bar with a warm smile towards his best friend.

"That's what I'm here for! Blu…I would like you to be my best man!"

"Oh wow! Absolutely! Of course I'll be your best man!" Blu matched his friends excitement while jumping up and down in perfect synchronisation with him.

"Gay lords!" Pedro muttered under his breath while munching on a slice of mango.

"So, as you are my best man you will need to sort out my bachelor party! Any ideas?" Rafael asked him curiously. Blu put a wingtip on his chin to think of possible ideas. Until Douglas decided to speak up.

"How about Mexico?" Douglas suggested while pouring himself a drink of vodka and mango juice. Blu's face lit up with excitement and he banged his wing on the bar with emphasis.

"Mexico sounds great! There are a couple of Spanish doves who came back from a honeymoon there! They said it was a great place to party! We should do that!"

"I like the idea guys…but it's such a long flight for us birds! How do we get there faster?" Rafael asked while patting Blu on the back. But before the blue macaw male could respond, a familiar voice from behind Rafael spoke up.

"I know a way! You could go the same way I did!" All five birds turned to face a white dove who was drinking what appeared to be a glass of Tequila.

"Oh Sergio! We were just talking about you!" Blu smiled at the dove while giving him a fist bump.

"I know mi amigo! Trust me, I know the perfect way to get to Mexico! The best part is, you could get there the next day!"

"Really?! That's great! How do we do that?"

"You will need to board a human machine called a plane! That will be the fastest way to get to your destination!" The dove responded while downing his glass.

Blu was unsure about this plan, because he didn't like humans very much. The thought of him boarding one of their metal contraptions sent chills down his spine.

"Oh…I don't know," Blu spoke up, but Rafael cut him off quickly.

"Oh come on Blu! It may sound like a bad idea! But if we can sneak aboard one of those plane thingys, we could be partying hard in Mexico the next day! What do you say?" The toucan tried to convince his friend. Luckily Rafael was very persuasive.

"Alright! Let's do it! This time tomorrow…IT'S ALL ABOUT MEXICO!" Blu shouted excitedly, with all of his friends responding with a cheer and clinking their glasses together.

As they were doing this…Douglas called Sergio over to him while the others were celebrating.

"Sergio, make sure they get on the wrong plane! Got it?"

"Hey! I heard your orders from your brother several time's! Don't worry, I will make sure that the job is done! After all…I am your best friend after all amigo!"

"I know Sergio…I know!" With that being said, Sergio exited the club after saying goodbye to his friend. Douglas started chuckling evilly while exiting through the club exit.
