"Do you believe in Aliens Sargent Moffitt?" Moffitt raised an eyebrow from where he was concentrating on the checkers game with Troy and answered Tully before successfully capturing another of Troy's red checkers.

"Well, that is a rather hard question to answer Tully. Do I believe that there might be existence other than ourselves out there? Perhaps. Do I think that if there was other life that they would come to our modest planet? In my own prejudiced opinion no. No I don't believe that little green men will come from the stars and settle here. Why Tully? Do you believe in aliens?" Moffitt raised his other eyebrow as Troy tried to move his piece but he stopped on seeing Moffitt's look of discontent and with a disheartened look put the piece back to grapple out another idea of where to move.

"What about you Sarge? You believe in Aliens?"

"Absolutely Tully. I almost got abducted once." Both of Moffitt's eyebrows went up this time and Tully raised himself from the bed onto his elbows with a disbelieving look on his face.

Troy grinned and hopped 2 of Moffitt's black checkers with one of his red. "Its true. I was out late one night in Texas. A tire on my car blew out on me and that one had been the spare. So I was walking back to a garage I had seen a mile or so back when this weird light suddenly appeared right above an open field to the left of me. It was hovering, just waiting there in the sky. I had stopped moving and then suddenly it moved, moved straight toward me and… Aw shoot!" Troy's abrupt cutoff of his story was caused by Moffitt hopping over Troy's last checker effectively ending their game.

Now then Troy, I believe that, that was the 80th win for me and the 76th loss for you." Troy childishly stuck out his tongue at the man who in a shocking turn of events did it back at him. Troy chuckled and shook his head at how his fellow sergeant never ceased to surprise him.

"Well? Well? What happened Sarge." Troy looked over at Tully's rapt attention to him and felt a deep chuckle coming up from his chest. Oh the enthusiasm of youth.

"Well, it was coming straight at me and man I thought I was gone for sure. I only had 2 choices. 1, run the heck away as fast as I could. And 2, just hit the deck and hope it misses me. So I did the only rational thing. I hit the deck and sure enough it flew straight over em and went right on by. I was shaking the whole 2 miles to the repair garage."

"Really Sarge? Did that really happen?" All 3 of them looked up abruptly at the new sound of Hitch's voice. He was carrying a tray of 4 coffee's and looked like he had just found his new hero figure in Troy.

"As true as the stars on my uniform Hitch." Moffitt snorted and said with wry amusement in his voice.

"Which uniform? You've worn German and American Troy. Not to mention the one time you took MY uniform. Honestly how could you confuse a British military uniform for one of your American dusty looking uniforms." Hitch snickered as he passed out the cups of coffee and Tully outright laughed at poor Troy.

"It was ONE TIME Moffitt. ONE time!" The rest of the evening passed quickly and they soon found themselves once again admit the heavy gunfire from the German's and the spray of hot gritty sand flying out from underneath their jeeps tires. Through it all though Hitch and Tully and yes even Moffitt loved to tease Troy about his Little Green Men visit. Troy for his part took it all with a laugh but he made sure to prank them all back when they drew tiny little green men on paper and stuck it up all over the outside and inside of his tent.

It was in all good fun though. Especially when the other 3 men found themselves having green teeth from the harmless dye Troy had gotten from the Kitchen. Ah yeas life was as good as being soldiers fighting a war in a foreign land could be. And who knows? Maybe there is life out there waiting and watching for a time to come down to earth… Be ready.
