a very small stream.
"Rivulets of tears fell down her face"
"She has been through hell. So believe me when I say. Fear her when she looks into a fire and smiles" - Darynda Jones
Description
Aubrey is a child who was abducted four years ago. What happens when a new lead arises and the BAU steps in. What happens when Spencer Reid adopts her? Will she be able to cope? Is she ever going to be the same?
The purpose of this story is to be realistic, so it won't be some cheerful tale about a traumatized girl recovering overnight. A few of the events in the story are loosely based on my own and others' experiences. Aubrey is not a carbon copy of Reid and will not be going on cases with the team, since I am trying to be realistic.
General TW, self-harm, abuse, eating disorders, rape, and the graphic content that normally appears in criminal minds episodes.

Throughout the book, I will include more specific trigger warnings. Please read at your own risk as this story is very dark. It's impossible to predict how often I will post, but I will at least try to make it a weekly release. Be patient with me as I don't have the perfect grammar and spelling. Please let me know if you have specific requests. I'd love to incorporate them into the story.
