AU where Ricky and Nini have not met yet. Also, Ms. Jenn is Nini's aunt instead.

"Moms, i'll be alright! Kourt and I just landed and we're on our way to Aunt Jenn's." Nini said into her phone as she and Kourt make their way outside of the airport. They had both just landed in Chicago for a little vacation during break. It was tough for getting their parents to agree, but they eventually did it and they were going to stay with Nini's Aunt Jenn.

Carol and Dana, Nini's moms, sighed on the other side of the phone. "Alright. Just let us know when you get to your aunt's home, alright?" Carol said.

"Of course. We got to go now. I'll call you later!"

"Bye Carol and Dana!" Kourtney said as she basically screamed into the phone, earning stares from the people around them.

"Sorry, everyone." Kourtney said as she did circular hand gestures. "You may go on and continue with whatever you were doing." She added as she then covered her head and speed walked away with Nini laughing behind her.

"Alright, bye girls! Stay safe!" Dana said as she and Carol were laughing as well. Nini then ended the call and put her phone away safely in her purse.

"So, do you see your Aunt Jenn yet?" Kourtney asked as she examined her nails as they waited outside. Nini looked around, until she saw a blonde woman waving at her.

"Yea! Come on!" Nini replied as she walked to Jenn.

"Aunt Jenn!" Nini said as she flung her arms around her aunt.

"Hello Nini!"

"Aunt Jenn, this is my best friend, Kourtney!" Nini introduced.

"Hello!" Kourtney greeted cheerfully as they all began loading their stuff into the back of Jenn's car.

After a minute, they had put Kourtney and Nini's bags inside and they all got inside of the car.

"So Nini, Kourtney, what brings you guys here in Chicago?" Jenn asked as she began to drive the car.

"Nothing much. Kourtney and I saw that there were some pretty cool and interesting stuff here, and all of our friends back home were out of town as well, so we decided to go here! Plus I get to see you!" Nini said as she looked out of the window.

"Well tell you what girls, let's go back home and get you settled in, and we can go to some of the places that interest you after." Jenn said.

"Sounds good to me." Kourtney said as Nini agreed as well.

"Awesome! Oh! One of my favorites!" Jenn said as she turned the radio in her car up a bit.

"Alright, welcome girls to mi casa!" Jenn said as she pulled up into her driveway and parked her car. Her house wasn't small, but it wasn't bit. It looked nice and simple.

"Woah, nice house." Kourtney commented as they all got out of the car. Jenn had went and unlocked the front door as Nini and Kourtney got their stuff from the trunk.

"Thank you, Kourtney!" Jenn said as they entered the house. "Here, follow me and i'll show you which room you girls will be staying in."

The three of them walked up the stairs and walked until they reached a room. It was a medium sized room, white walls, and two twin beds inside.

"Thanks Aunt Jenn." Nini said as she and Kourt placed their bags down.

"No problem girls, just unpack your stuff and come downstairs when you are ready to leave!" Jenn said as she left the girls to unpack.

"So where shall we go tonight, Kourt?" Nini said as she started unpacking.

"Hmm, honestly, I don't mind. As long as I don't have to do a lot of things." Kourtney said.

Nini and Kourtney walked down the stairs and found Jenn watching and singing to High School Musical on the tv.

The girls laughed as they watch Jenn dancing sloppily to We're All In This Together. At least, she can sing.

The song ended and Jenn sighed. "God, they should've kissed!"

"I agree completely Ms. Jenn." Kourtney said taking a seat on the couch.

"Oh girls! Didn't see you there!" Jenn said as she plopped down on the couch as well.

"Love you're singing Aunt Jenn, although your dancing is a bit.. eh?" Nini said trying not to sound rude a bit.

Jenn laughed it off and got up to get a water bottle. "Thank you darling. So have you guys decided where you wanted to go to?"

"Somewhere lowkey." Kourtney responded.

"I know just the place." Jenn said as they all then walked to her car.

"Woah! That was so fun! Although, I might be a little deaf." Kourtney said as they all entered back inside the house." They all went to a karaoke place for the night. Most of the singers there were, well, not so in tune with the song they sang.

"And Ms. Jenn, when you sang Alone by Heart, you sounded amazing!" Kourtney exclaimed and then started singing a line. "How do I get you aloneeee"

"Thank you Kourtney! Anyone hungry? Even though we got like eight slices of pizza." Jenn said.

"I'm okay" Nini replied.

"Same here." Kourtney also said.

"You know Kourt, you should've sang something!" Nini said as she continued on the conversation.

"Nah, I can't sing well. Not like you Nini."

Nini rolled her eyes. "Aunt Jenn, just so you know, she's lying. Kourt, you are like a goddess when you sing!"

"Whatever. Anyways, Nini, you should've totally sang a duet with the one guy when they were looking for a duet partner. He was pretty cute, if I may add." Kourtney said.

"I'm okay Kourt." Nini laughed. "I can't sing well" Nini said as she mocked Kourtney from before. Kourtney lightly shoved her.

"What? Nini could've had the chance to sing with a cute guy on stage? Why didn't you Nini?" Jenn asked.

"Oh yea, you were in the bathroom at the time. Nini here had the chance to sing with this guy, but she declined." Kourtney said.

"Yea, yea, whatever." Nini said as she checked the time of her watch. "Well, it's getting late, so i'm going to head to bed now. Kourt, are you going to bed now?"

"No, i'm not tired yet." Kourtney replied.

"Okay, well good night guys!" Nini said as she got up to get ready for bed.

"Night, Nini" Jenn and Kourtney said.

"Want to watch a movie?" Jenn asked Kourt.

"Sure!"

Nini woke up to the smell of pancakes being made downstairs and voices talking. She could hear Kourtney and Jenn talking, and one female and male she did not know.

She got up and got ready for the day and then walked downstairs to see Kourtney and Jenn sitting down at the table with the two people she did not recognize.

"Morning Nini!" Jenn said as she saw Nini. "Come sit down and eat." Jenn added as she patted down the seat that was next to her.

"Lynne, Ricky, this is Nini! My neice from Utah! Nini, meet Lynne and Ricky, my neighbors!" Jenn introduced as Nini sat down next to Jenn and Kourtney.

"Nice to meet you." Nini greeted to Lynne and Ricky as they both smiled back at her. Nini took a good look at Ricky and realized something.

"You're the guy from the karaoke place!" She blurted out as Kourtney laughed.

Ricky gave a confused look. "What?"

"Sorry, it's just, we were at the karaoke place last night, and we saw you on stage." Nini responded as she took a bite of her pancakes.

"Oh yea. My friend dared me to go up." Ricky said as he blushed a bit.

"Hey, you weren't that bad of a singer though." Nini added on.

"Really, I thought I was the best" Ricky said smirking softly a bit.

Nini continued on eating. "I've heard better."

"Wow, I am hurt, Nini, who I just met today." Ricky said pretending to be offended. Kourtney and Nini both laughed.

"Kids, Lynne and I are going to go out for a bit. We will be back around two." Jenn said as she and Lynne both got up.

"Nice meeting you, Lynne." Kourtney said as she and Nini gave a wave.

"You too girls." And with that, she and Jenn walked out the door.

"So tell me about yourselves, Nini and Kourtney."

"Well, as you know I am Kourtney Renee. I am a junior that lives in Utah and goes to attend East High along with my best friend Nini. I also really like makeup."

"Well nice meeting you, Kourtney." Ricky said as he looked over to Nini.

"I am Nini Salazar-Roberts. I am a junior as well that lives in Utah and attends East High as well. I sing and I like theater."

"Ah, you sing. I need to hear you sing one day. You know, see if you're better than me or something." Ricky teased.

"Oh you should hear her sing. She has a voice of an angel." Kourtney added.

Nini blushed and covered her face. "Kourt" She said as she stretched out her name.

"What? I state facts only."

"Whatever, anyways tell us about you Ricky."

Ricky took a sip of water and began to speak. "I'm Ricky Bowen. Lived in Chicago for the past two years, i'm a junior as well, and I skate."

"You lived in Chicago for two years? Where did you live before?" Kourtney asked.

"Utah as well. With my dad." Ricky responded.

"Really? Where?" Nini asked. She's not trying to be stalker-ish; it's a simple question, you know?

"Salt Lake." Ricky said. "I left right before freshman year."

"No way, that's where we live!" Kourtney exclaimed.

"Really?"

"Yep!"

"Wow" Ricky said. "Hey do you guys want to go somewhere? I can show you some parts of Chicago if you'd like."

Nini and Kourtney looked at each. "Sure, why not."

"Okay, you guys can get ready and do what you girls do before going somewhere. I can just wait down here."

"I'm already ready." Kourtney said.

"I am too. Let me just clean this up." Nini replied.

Ricky looked at the plates, "Want some help?"

"No thanks, i'll be okay."

Nini and Kourtney just arrived back from their outing with Ricky. Kourtney made her way all the way up to their room and passed out on her bed. Nini had stopped to get a glass of water.

She learned more about Ricky today, and was glad she met someone like him. She thought that she may be attracted to him a bit, he was cute and he was pretty funny.

Anyways, she got her glass of water and sat down on the kitchen table, took her phone out and scrolled on Instagram and Twitter for a good hour, checking on her feed and seeing what her other friends were doing. She wasn't tired yet, and she was not currently in a singing mood. Although, Kourtney and Jenn were probably both asleep by now. So she decided, after drinking her glass of water, to get her ukelele and sit outside a bit.

After getting her ukelele, Nini went outside and sat on the steps of Jenn's porch. She started playing random chords until something popped up in her mind. She eventually began playing Alone by Heart as it was stuck in her head after Jenn sang it the other day.

"How do I get you alone" Nini sang as she finished the song. She smiled to herself as she then started playing chords to another song.

"Well I am alone, right now" A voice said, which scared Nini a bit. Okay, more like made Nini jump and almost break the stings of her uke.

"Chill it's just me." The voice said. Nini looked to her left to see Ricky on the front of his porch as well.

"Ricky! You scared me." Nini said as Ricky made his way over to her.

Ricky sat down beside her and didn't say anything.

"Yeah, you're definitely a better singer than me." He complimented as Nini blushed. Luckily it was dark and he couldn't see.

"Thanks, but you were great as well you know." Nini said as she returned the compliment.

"Thanks too, I guess"

"So what are you doing up at this time?" Nini asked as she put her ukelele down.

"I could ask you the same thing." Ricky answered.

"God, I hate when people do that." Nini said. "Even though I asked first, I am just sitting down here playing my ukelele and singing as you heard. I'm just not tired. What about you?"

Ricky stayed quiet a bit and didn't say anything.

"Ricky?" Nini asked. She then heard a sniffle.

"Ricky are you crying?"

Ricky quickly wiped the stray tears, even though Nini saw.

"What's wrong?" Nini asked, concerned.

"I don't know why i'm going to tell you, even though I just met you today, and don't want to scare you off." Ricky began.

Nini put a hand on his shoulder. "You're not going to scare me off."

"It's just, I moved to Chicago with my mom because my parents got a divorce, but I don't know, I can't stop thinking about it, even though it was two years ago. I haven't really talked to my dad either, and I-I just miss him."

Nini's heart broke. Ricky then continued speaking.

"I'm sorry, I should probably go, I don't want to burden you with my problems. Like I said, I just met you today and I don't want you to feel uncomfortable or anything." Ricky said as he got up and began to walk back to his home.

"Ricky wait!" Nini said loudly, but not too loud. Ricky stopped walking and turned around. "Come here."

Ricky walked back and Nini got up and gave him a hug. Ricky was surprised at the sudden hug, but hugged her back.

"It's okay, to feel sad and talk about it with others." She said as she pulled away from him. "And I know we just met today, but you seem like a pretty cool guy, and I kind of like you"

Nini's eyes widened opened a bit. "As a friend, of course. Anyways, you could always come to me to talk to." She said. "Do you have your phone on you?"

Ricky nodded and handed his phone to her. Nini took it, but the phone was locked.

"Unlock, please." She asked and Ricky did as she asked. She then added her number, and Kourtney's too. She then handed his phone back to him.

"I added mine and Kourt's numbers on your phone, so you can talk to either of us still when we go back home." Nini said with a smile.

"Thanks Nini, here let me text your phone so you know it's me." Ricky said as he sent a quick text to Nini.

"I don't have my phone on me, but i'll make sure to add your number once I do." Nini said.

"Well, I should probably go now." Ricky said. "Night Nini."

"Night Ricky." Nini responded back as she sat back down, playing some tunes on her ukelele.

A week passed and it was time for Nini and Kourtney to go back home. Nini and Ricky have gotten to know each other better and were practically best friends now.

"I'm going to really miss you guys." Ricky said as he went with Jenn to drop Nini and Kourtney off at the airport.

"I'm going to miss you as well Rickster." Kourtney said as she ruffled his hair a bit. Ricky pouted as he fixed his hair.

"I am not going to miss you for that." He said as the four of them laughed.

"Well here we are" Jenn said as they reached the airport. She parked at one of the spaces in front of the airport, as everyone got out. Nini and Kourtney got their bags out and gave their last hugs before they left.

"I am going to miss you girls! It was so nice for the visit. Come again soon!" Jenn said as she hugged both girls.

"I'm going to miss you too Aunt Jenn!" Nini said.

"Nini " Ricky whined as he hugged her. "I don't want you to go"

Nini laughed as she hugged back. "Sorry Ricky, but I kind of have to. I wish I didn't though."

"Well text me as soon as you get on the plane and get back home, okay." Ricky said.

"Promise." Nini said as she smiled.

"Well we gotta go. Come on, Nini." Kourtney said as she gave one last hug to Jenn and Ricky.

"Bye guys!" Jenn said as she and Ricky waved goodbye to them. Nini and Kourtney waved back.

Kourtney and Nini began walking through airport security and then finally boarded their plane. Nini took her phone out to text Ricky.

"Ya'll are cute together. I ship." Kourtney said all of a sudden. Nini quickly turned red.

"Shut up, we're just friends." Nini said as she started typing her message to Ricky.

"Yeah, that's what every relationship starts off as." Kourtney says as she puts in her airpods and starts listening to her music. Nini shook her head and finished typing her message.

Kourt and I just got on our plane...i'm going to miss you Ricky! Just remember that you aren't alone, and if you need someone to talk to, i'm always here. Even if it's just a text or phone call. I'll call you later :)
