Peter Parker was in Gotham and surprisingly it was not to meet anyone from his family. He was trying to avoid the villains, Lex had advised him not to interact with any of them because they were much more dangerous than the ones in Queens. Peter was tempted to try it, especially the Riddler. The riddles that appeared on his official YouTube account were very easy! Were they always so easy? Unfortunately, he had come to look for the bat. Loki had required his help two days ago. Thanos was coming to Earth and if what Venom and Loki had told him were true, he was a villain who could not be taken lightly. The heroes, not just The Avengers, had to regroup!
According to his sources, the bat frequented this place. It was a kind of abandoned fair, with creepy clowns half eaten up by lack of care, weather, rain and wind. Peter didn't like him, he was activating his spider sense. A sinister laugh was suddenly heard, similar to that of the Green Goblin. But it couldn't be, because Norman Osborn was lecturing Lexcorp right now. He had very few moments to dodge a lever. Without his spider sense, that guy could have killed him. He tied the clown with his cobwebs without much effort. This was what happened when other heroes fought other supervillains different from the ones they were used to!
"Look what I found".-said the clown.-"Batsy will not be very happy that other heroes invade his territory. I am only his and he is mine. Did Batsy invite you to play with me?"
"Be careful there, friend." Said a guy with a red hood. This must be Red Hood! Peter had been following the news from Gotham. He called him the intention, he was an interesting guy, he reminded him a bit of Wade. "This is bat territory. You should not face the Joker alone, believe me, very few can handle it."
"Clearly it has not been a problem".-Spiderman replied giving the Joker a pat on the head, as if he were a puppy.-"I also have a guy like that in Queens. They think they are essential and get angry when another villain is ignored and paid attention to! Believe me, the less attention they receive from us, the better their mental health and their obsessions with us will dramatically improve. That is the key!"
"Look, I clearly don't know what you're talking about, but you have to go," said Red Hood.
"I will not leave here without talking to Batman, a threat is approaching! He is a very dangerous villain who wants to erase half the population from existence".-said Spiderman. Joker laughed. Spiderman knew his mask was showing his disgust, but compared to the Green Goblin, the Joker was nothing more than a circus clown!
"Let them go, let them disintegrate!" Said the Joker. "Fewer villains to deal with!"
-"You're not very smart, are you?" - Here's the vain attempt to ration with the Joker! Well, Peter had to try. "If half the population disappears, there is a fifty percent chance that you will disappear. Do you think Batman will mourn you? Possibly he will, until the next strongest and meanest villain appears to replace you, then you will be dead and this villain will be the one who pesters Batman every night."-He didn't seem so happy, but this was common sense! –"Even that replacement could be Thanos himself, because right now he is much more dangerous than you and if you disintegrate, it will mean that he has defeated you. It may also be the case that you stay and it is Batman who disintegrates. Do you think you will be able to live in a world in which Batman does not exist? Isn't he the reason for your existence?"
"We can also stay both." Said the Joker, his voice prompting Spiderman to contradict him.
"That is a possibility," replied Peter. "But that would mean that you are not the halves of a whole as you often affirm." In that situation, the logical thing is for Batman to focus more on Thanos because he is the one who has caused the most damage here, he could also give up being Batman because he has failed in his mission to protect Gotham. Either way, you lose and Thanos wins! So do us all a favor and stay idle for a few days until we can eliminate the threat.
"I'm not going to stay idle!" Joker yelled, clearly pissed off. Red Hood flinched, Spiderman didn't flinch. "I'm Batman's arch enemy! No insect is going to tell me what to do!"
"Is that you?" Spiderman looked genuinely surprised. "I always believed Batman's arch enemy was Bane."
"Bane!" Joker spat. He was really offended, but he was still tied up, which was the important thing. "Bane!" Listen insect ..!"
Spiderman left there leaving the Joker screaming at nothing, he was not going to put up with their voices. He had already wasted enough time! Red Hood was following him, apparently the Joker was reliable enough that no one was watching him. No wonder he always ran away!
"What a speech you made there, my friend," said Red Hood. Only now, with the moon lighting up his chest, Peter realize how incredibly attractive he was. He seemed so flexible! Of course he had noticed before, but now the Joker was not there to distract him! "You are bad, spider."
"Does that mean that you are my little red riding hood and I am your big bad spider?" - Damn your sense of humor! Always in the most unexpected moments! But he had managed to make Red Hood laugh!
"If you want," Jason replied, clearly amused and excited. "Tell me the time and place, spider and show me how fierce you can be. I've long wondered what it would be like to be bound by your cobwebs!"
Peter blushed. He wasn't used to anyone but Wade flirting with him. Before he could think better of it, Peter quickly lifted Red Hood's hood up to his nose, simultaneously doing the same to his own. Before he could react, Peter kissed him and pushed him, falling from the buildings, Peter caught him in his net before they could touch the ground. Red Hood's heart beat faster with adrenaline and excitement, but he wasn't afraid.
"Invite me to dinner first." Said Peter, moving away a bit. It was something he had learned from Harry, the seduction, the elegance of stunning your lover and turning small moments into unforgettable.
Surprisingly, when The Avengers were about to lose the battle against Thanos, when the Justice League had already been defeated by his followers, the Joker and an army of villains appeared, including The Sinister Six, The Green Goblin and Lex Luthor, to whom Peter had given all the information he possessed about Thanos in hopes that he could come up with a better plan than Stark's. Not even Thanos was a match for the madness of the Joker and the Green Goblin combined. Thanos succumbed in no time. Some of the Avengers were surprised to see Red Hood and Spiderman being inseparable overnight, there was no record in their files that they were so close. Doctor Strange, who had been the one who had sent Spiderman to Gotham, smiled every time he looked at them.
