Hi, everyone. I am Keyblade Master of Light and I have a new story for you this time around. It's, you guessed it, another KH story, BUT it's a crossover with Legend of Zelda! I've been actually wanting to a crossover story involving these two beloved games and now I think it's time I finally get around doing it. Now, for this story, this one inspired by and dedicated to Alvin Earthworm and his series Super Mario Bros. Z and also hesiegoji/KingAsylus91 and his wonderful series Mario Heroes of the Stars! Now, let's see where this story gets us, shall we?

As usual, here's the disclaimer: I do NOT own Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Zelda, or any of the characters. Kingdom Hearts is owned by Square Enix/Disney and Tetsuya Nomura while Legend of Zelda is owned by Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka.

Prologue: Dream of Fate

"Nobody knows where their destiny lies. Nobody knows who's going to be the hero. And nobody even knows there can be two heroes from different worlds that share the same goal in their hearts. As long as we follow our paths together, then we carve our own destiny." A voice said.

In what looks like a black ethereal plane, a young teenage boy, who appears to be sixteen with messy blond hair with bangs on his shoulders, pointed ears, wearing a white vest with the left side having a green long sleeve while the right side is sleeveless, white and green trousers, brown sandals, and two small blue rings on his right pointed ear. The boy is floating down in the plane while opening his blue eyes, but then sees a bright light as he falls further.

The blond boy looks around, and finds himself on what looks like an island with the sky being blue and standing on the island's shore as water is touching his feet but finds a sun shining on his face making him shield his face but then he finds three figures running along the island shore.

The first is a boy, who appears fourteen with spiky brown hair and blue eyes wearing a red shirt and shorts with a zipper in the middle, a black short sleeved hoodie over the shirt and shorts with white short sleeves, white fingerless gloves, yellow shoes, and a necklace with a crown at the end around his neck.

The second is another boy, who appears to be fifteen with semi-long silver hair and cyan eyes, wearing a yellow sleeveless shirt with the back being black, blue pants, black and blue shoes, and black gloves.

The third is a girl, who also appears fourteen with short red hair and blue eyes, wearing a white sleeveless shirt with blue trims, purple short skirt, white and blue shoes, and yellow bracelet.

As the blond sees the trio running and having a race while running past the blond, the sky suddenly turns dark with black clouds and harsh winds are blowing, making the blond shield himself, but the wind blows him back as he witnesses the same spiky brown haired boy flying into a void in the sky, and the blond also flies into the black sky.

The blond is now in what looks like a dark chamber of a castle, where he finds the same spiky brown haired boy carrying a giant key shaped sword with a silver edge with crown shaped teeth, gold swuare saped hilt, and a keychain with a mouse like symbol at the end. The spiky haired boy is fighting against the same silver haired boy but wearing a different outfit which is a red and blue organic suit with a white torn loincloth around his waist, who vanishes. In the silver haired boy's place reveals to be a different figure who is now a tan skinned man with long silver hair, yellow eyes, wearing a black, grey and white trench coat with a sigil that looks like a black heart with red spikes crossing each other, white gloves, and black boots. The spiky haired boy charges and delivers a slash attack, creating a bright light from a door getting the man, who shields himself, but vanishes and the blond is also covered in light.

As the light dissipates, the blond boy looks around to find himself in what looks like a plane of black and white, and he finds the same spiky haired boy, but a little older and wearing different clothes and the same silver haired boy also wearing different clothes. They're both fighting against a figure who is another tan skinned man with messy long silver hair and wearing a black and white robe, and the two boys work together to finish off the man who vanishes into nothing while another bright flash occurs covering the blond boy again and sending him somewhere else.

The blond boy is now falling along the same black ethereal plane and he finds a green stained-glass floor that has what looks like a female figure in green carrying a book and lands on it while looking around.

"A looming darkness approaches. Soon to be brought back. It is up to you and another brave heart to protect the light." A voice said and the blond boy looks around to find the mysterious voice. "If you are to be chosen by fate, then come forward." The voice said, as a light appears in the center of the glass floor.

The blond boy runs for the light, but then three more lights appear in front of him and four weapons appear showing a sword with a silver blade, black hilt, and a small gold triangle in the center of the hilt, a staff with the same triangle symbol at the top, a shield that has the same triangle symbol, and a bow with two triangles.

"Only true power lies within you, but should you give it form, then strength is created. Choose wisely." The voice said.

The boy examines each of the weapons and goes for the sword first.

"Power of the Warrior. A sword that grants you great strength and fighting ability." The voice said and the blond boy puts the sword back.

The blond boy goes for the staff next.

"Power of the Mystic. A staff that grants you great magic power." The voice said and the boy puts the staff back.

The boy then goes for the shield.

"Power of the Guardian. A shield that grants you great defense." The voice said and the boy puts the shield back.

The boy then goes for the bow.

"Power of the Archer. A bow that grants you great speed and agility." The voice said and the boy puts the bow back.

After examining all the weapons, the boy chooses which weapon that's best and goes for the sword.

"Do you choose the power of the Warrior?" The voice asked and the boy nods making the sword disappear. "Your path is set." The voice said.

Just then, the green stained-glass starts to shatter, making the blond boy fall again, but he finds another stained-glass floor showing another female figure, but is blue and playing a harp. The boy lands on the blue glass floor, but then three different colored flames which are green on the right, blue on the left, and red at the top appear in the form of a triangle.

"In order to prepare for the trials, you must first tell me what represents you." The voice said.

The blond boy goes for the green flame first and examines it.

"A heart of Courage. Valiant and determined to take on the trials ahead." The voice said.

The boy then goes for the blue flame.

"A heart of Wisdom. Strategic and insightful to handle the trials." The voice said.

The boy then goes for the red flame.

"A heart of Power. Forecful and mighty to battle the trials." The voice said.

After examining all the three colored flames, the boy goes for the green flame.

"You have chosen the heart of Courage. Your strength and defense will be one in balance." The voice said, as the green flame covers the boy until it disappears while the blue and red flames disappear.

Just then, the blue glass floor begins to blacken into a black pool of shadow and it appears under the blond boy, who tries to struggle to break free, but ends up sinking into the shadow pool until he's completely into the shadows.

The boy recovers from the shadows and finds himself on a different stained-glass floor, but it's red and it has another female figure, but also red and unleashing what looks like fire. Just then, something starts emerge from the glass floor and it's what looks like a small black creature with antennas, claws, and glowing yellow eyes, making the boy aback, but then the sword appears in his left hand.

"You have the power to fight. Keep your heart at a steady pace and your light will burn brightly." The voice said as the boy gets into a fighting stance with a firm face.

The shadow creature sinks into the ground and crawls around before emerging back and tries to attack the boy with its claws, only for the boy to deliver a swing with his sword attacking the shadow creature and after three hits the shadow disappears into blackness.

More shadow like creatures appear and with them are monsters that looks like small red monsters carrying wooden clubs and wearing belt buckles with skulls on them. The shadows jump to attack with their claws while the small red monsters swing with their wooden clubs, but the boy lands good hits on the shadow creatures with his sword and then delivers three slashes at the red monsters and manages to destroy them all.

After a short fight a bright light appears over the blond.

"Beware, for the strong light begets a shadow, giving it strength." The voice said.

The boy turns around to see his shadow rising from the ground and it begins to grow, shocking the blond as his shadow transforms into a gigantic muscular shadow with small and curly feet, small twisted wings on its back, large muscular arms with long claws, a giant heart shaped hole in its abdominal area, its head covered with twisted black tentacles, and small glowing yellow eyes, making the boy back off slightly but remains firm still gripping his sword ready to fight.

The giant shadow starts off by emitting dark energy around its right fist and then raises it and sends it to the ground creating a black pool while creating a shock wave and from the black pool are more of the small shadow creatures that go for the boy, who quickly destroys them and sees the giant shadow's arm open for attack. The boy begins slashing at the arm with his sword with two horizontal swings and then delivers a bigger swing, but after enough attacks, the giant shadow pulls its arm off the ground and then begins to charge dark energy within its heart shaped hole and unleashes dark energy missiles at the blond. The blond boy moves to dodge and keeps attacking one of the arms with his sword to deal some damage, while avoiding more of the dark missiles the giant shadow is firing from its heart hole until the giant shadow thrusts its fist at the boy. The boy quickly moves out of the way, making the giant shadow's fist get stuck and the boy gets an idea and gets on the stuck arm and runs for the shadow's head and begins aerial slashing at the giant shadow's head with his sword dealing more damage and after enough attacks, the giant shadow uses its free hand to swipe the boy off.

The blond recovers himself, but then his sword disappears, shocking him, but sees the shadow about to attack again making him back off, only for the giant shadow grabs the blond with two hands as it transforms into a giant pool of shadow and taking the blond boy, who struggles to break free with it.

"Do not be afraid, young one. Do not forget, the darkness cannot destroy you easily. You and another brave heart will be the one to banish the looming darkness and defend the light." The voice said, as the blond boy is completely in shadows and everything turns black.

Well, here's the prologue and I'm very sorry for starting this off with Link in the Dive to the Heart. I know most of the KH stories I start with are Dive to the Hearts and I know, it's very repetitive, but I thought that's where I would start. Anyway, hopefully, I'll be able to make more chapters for this story and forgive the beginning. It's been a while since I've written a new chapter. One more thing, Link will not be in Destiny Islands, in case people would get the idea about it. He's obviously goona start off in a village in Hyrule.
