Summary: "What are you supposed to be?" Len asked, eying the... red monstrosity Barry was wearing.
"Can't you tell?" Barry rocked back on his heels, beaming mischievously. "I'm the Flash."

Foam and Spandex
Len almost didn't see him. Almost didn't recognize him. But then Barry pulled the mask off his face, laughing with his far more recognizable friends, and Len's attention was riveted.
Mostly because whatever it was Barry was wearing was the most god-awful thing Len had ever seen.
The foam padding, the shade of red bordering on neon, the definitely-neon-yellow highlights... who had designed that thing and how had Barry convinced Ramon to let him wear it out in public? No one else's costume in their little Team Flash group was so awful. And both Ramon and Snow's costumes were high quality; from what Lisa had been telling him about her nerdy boy-toy, Ramon had likely made both of those himself. Some anime cosplay. Even Iris West's Laura Croft costume was nicer looking than... whatever Barry was wearing.
It just... bothers Len, it's so tacky... he wants to peel the damn thing off of Barry...
Shaking his head, Len heads to the bar to close out his tab. Seems his contact isn't going to show up, anyway.
"Fancy meeting you here."
Len glanced over his shoulder at Barry disdainfully. "You look ridiculous."
"Thanks. That was kind of the point." He looked entirely too pleased with himself. "What brings you here? Obviously not the costume contest and this doesn't really seem like your scene."
"It's not. I was here to meet someone, they didn't show." Len signaled to the bartender for his card and check. "What are you supposed to be?" Len asked, eying the... red monstrosity Barry was wearing.
"Can't you tell?" Barry rocked back on his heels, beaming mischievously. "I'm the Flash."
And, okay, so Len can see it. "Why does it have foam muscle padding?"
"I don't know." Barry chuckled in amusement. "I'm pretty sure it's a re-skinned Spiderman costume, actually. They've started selling these at Party City recently and I couldn't resist. Cisco was so offended when I showed it to him, but it was pretty hilarious seeing the look on his face when I put this on."
"I'll bet. Surprised he let you out in public wearing that... thing."
Barry shrugged and smirked. "He thought it'd be one less person with a chance to win the competition. He's not wrong, either."
Len pocketed his credit card and signed off his associated alias on the receipt for the two beers he'd had over the last hour or so. "Then you wouldn't be too upset about missing the competition altogether? Going somewhere else for some... Flash versus Cold?"
"Well if Captain Cold is causing trouble, the Flash really ought to stop him," Barry agreed, reaching out to run his fingers up and down Len's arm.
"Go let your friends know your leaving and then meet me outside," Len ordered, leaning in to purr the words in Barry's ear. "My motorcycle's out there and if you let me drive you back to my place, I can get you out of that stupid suit." And let Mick burn it later.
Chuckling and pleased, Barry nodded. "I'll be right out."
