There was 1500900 Battle Droids aboard a single Providence, there was supposed to be millions if not billions of droids.
"Two planets, and both are requesting help." Came the words of Syetre Vircul. A former noble of the CIS… now it's highest ranking leader of the remnants.
Did he join the Confederacy of Independent Systems for some glorious crusade against a vile and corrupt Republic?
No, he joined because the CIS had liberated his planet from pirate criminals and he wished to pay them back. he didn't hate Clones or decide the war was his chance for payback.
He was saddened seeing the republic shatter and fall apart, the only saving grace was a large enough group of droids to form a pitiful fleet with him had escaped.
The once numbering in the billions CIS fleet was reduced to Syetre's flagship, 2 Recusant class Destroyers and 3 Munificent class Frigates.
Not counting fighters? The CIS was reduced to 5 vessels and 1881900 soldiers if he hadn't miss counted the vessels being fully stocked with crews of droids and their comrades in the cargo holds.
Syetre was busy looking over 2 calls before he was cut off by a mechanical voice.
"To divide our forces now would put them at a very high percentage of being lost to outside elements along with very high casualties." He heard and looked over his shoulder at Kraken.
The Super Tactical Droid was one of the few remnants of the CIS military he could find along with a few Tactical Droids.
"Would you prefer I ignore our chance to gain funding and infrastructure? I put you in charge of Umbara since General Farr-Nees asked for our assistance." Syetre stated to the droid.
He had little in the way of infrastructure when it came to the CIS. Most of their allies were either dead… not that Syetre supported the warmongers and morally bankrupt killers of the CIS.
and they had almost no droid factories. The latest report he heard from an ally was the construction of a castle on the planet of Mustafar, that made reactivation of the entire droid army almost impossible.
"The rescue of Banking Clan officials is secondary to establishing a base on Umbara like your plan originally was." Syetre heard from the droid as it looked at a pair of Super Battle Droids guarding the bridge doors.
"We need the information they can offer us and their money, commander… oversee the construction of the invasion of Umbara. I'll take the Defender, rescue the officials from Scipio and come back… the security on Umbara and Scipio are light, they don't expect anyone to attack the banks since they moved most of it to other worlds." Syetre ordered, he didn't need an entire fleet to rescues 4 officials… but he did need Kraken to work with him.
He had been in contact with a few former CIS officers all fighting their own wars against the Empire. He needed more people to join the military, he needed to expand the Separatists if they were to have a chance of fighting back.
Kraken stalked off to get his mission done, Syetre would be alone with his ship and its resources to undertake a mission that would either end with them getting more funding, or all being dead.
He could leave them, Dooku did have failsafe on the off chance the Separatists needed to go underground, or he wanted to betray his master.
But he couldn't, it didn't sit right with him, and they needed any advantage they could grasp if they were going to win a war of freedom against the Empire.
He waited till the siren signaling the departure of a shuttle from the Defender's hanger bay came before giving the order to jump into hyperspace.
It was time for the resurgence of the CIS… if there were still people desiring freedom? He'd give them freedom.
But the CIS would no longer be a group of morally bankrupt individuals… but a rallying organization of freedom fighters, all working to bring down the empire.
He walked back to his command chair and sat down. he had a plan to gather the officials and depart before any formal response was organized against him.

Phew, first chapter done! I want to point out this story will replace the old CIS story I had and it will be updated here and there. I also wish to point out I'm dipping into legends during the story. Next chapter will be in a week or so and will show the operation on Scipio and the deployment of CIS forces om Umbara.
