Chapter 1: Transition to Remnant
Uzumaki Naruto Konoha's number unpredictable ninja plus the most notorious knucklehead prankster. Uchiha Sasuke Konoha's last survivor of a once-powerful clan and avenger. Then there was Kay. An anomaly who took over a different timeline Sasuke body to help restore the ninja word. The way it was supposed to be before the attack of his mother Kaguya. They had a chance to make it right.
They spent over the last three years, planning and finally. They will witness the fruits of their plan, come together.
"Is it time?" A female with dark chocolate hair tied in a ponytail and pale eyes asks. She has on a black kimono with flowers. She slides her hands in her kimono looking at the 'god' of shinobi with a curious glance.
"Yes." He says in a gruff voice, "Three years is plenty of time to allow the two grab the basic fundamental of the art of chakra. They have enough basic skill for the task ahead of them, they already mastered tree climbing and water standing." He pauses then says, "For Naruto, this is just a refresher course but for Kay, it is a new concept."
Fate nods her head as he spoke; "I fear for the realm of Godzilla, Kay interference has caused an imbalance of power. Without an alpha, the Titans are fighting for dominance until an alpha can be declared." Again, she sighs, "I do wonder what goes on the head of that boy. Why would he suggest being a jinchūriki? What does he gain from this if he knows the life that Naruto leads?"
The sage hums, "He did say that he wanted the experience what Naruto experienced, so the question is; why did you permit?"
The words were caught in her throat as she tried to answer. She blinked why did she allow him to persuade her to make himself Godzilla jailor? It was not out of the kindness of her heart she did this act. No, she wanted to know if could bear the responsibility of having such a demanding task over his shoulders, though she did warn Kay that he is messing with forces that he should not be messing with, disturbing balance is one of them.
She waves her hand and the window opens to reveal Kay-Sasuke to be training with Mikoto, she has been him pushing hard over the last three years having him master different types of fire style Justus along with basic chakra control for a child his age. Unfortunately, the two have been having a falling out. Mikoto is allowing her grudge to grow into resentment which if not stomped out will grow in hatred.
The opposite thing has been going for Naruto he was bonding with his mother. Kushina is bent on having her son learn sealing one of the many techniques of the Uzumaki clan they were famous sealing masters and so far, Naruto has been learning basic sealing, chakra control plus special training for mokuton.
Sasuke doppelgänger is on the verge of unlocking his Sharingan and his first tomoe of the said bloodline. As if they were thinking on the same topic.
"How long does Kay have until he unlocks his Sharingan?" The Sage asks
Fate closes her eyes glowing with power when they reopen, "He should awaken them right…about…now."
A very angered Kay eye shown blue Sharingan with spinning single tomoe in them glaring at Uchiha Matriarch. Fate and the Sage gawked, never in their wildest imagination they would live to see a variant of the Sharingan…no it wasn't a variant it was only a different color. Even Mikoto is baffled by this, as they see through the window. However, despite this Sasuke is angrily talking back to the Uchiha woman though they couldn't hear anything they saw this side of Kay before.
Intrigued by this Fate waves her hand in front of the window listening, "…Furthermore Mikoto; you have your head so far up it not even funny! You think you are doing me favor by belittling me in everything that I do! I've been trying to keep it civil with you, I've been trying to get off this road…"
"Well, what if I don't want to get off this road of hatred! You can't force me to do something that I don't wish to not do. You're wasting your time trying to change my mind! I hate you so much, that it burns within my heart! I agreed to train you and look at the fruits of your labor you are nearing Chūnin level!"
"That's not the point!" The boy screamed, "One thing is to train! Another is to purposely do what you have done! Look at these scars!" The boy was panting showing his bruised arms and cuts, "You know what… forget it! If you won't take heed to my warnings, you will see what that curse of hatred will do to you, life is a teacher and you will learn sooner or later that path you have chosen will only end in suffering, pain, and loss! That doesn't mean I won't protect Satsuki from you."
They were silent for a few moments allowing tensions to rise but then Sasuke says "If you need me, I will be training with Guy-sensei with that green jumpsuit you love so much."
Mikoto shuddered. She went after him even if it is to apologize begrudgingly. If it's one thing Sasuke knew how to do; it was to grate on their nerves with simple pranks with Naruto and Kushina. The biggest one is training in that horrible green jumpsuit or spending time with Satsuki filling her with ideas.
"Sasuke! Sasuke wait! Damn it, Kay I said wait!"
The window closes, Hagoromo sighs shaking his head. He is not happy with the boys revealing themselves to the mothers, it wasn't necessary to do so yet also they were not ready for the truth. He feared for Mikoto she is taking this a lot harder than he could guess, that reminder of who is using her biological son is something you don't go around saying that to people.
"Well, this certainly is a predicament. Still, if we are to get them up or beyond Kage level, they will need to train away from prying eyes lest they be questioned to how they to know jutsu that they never trained in."
"Isn't that exactly what we are doing? Taking two strangers to place them in a world not their own just like Kay is out of place?" Fate deadpan
"Yes, however, given that the titans are unleashed on the world of Shinobi, this will allow Kay to get used to his new abilities without someone questioning or raising alarms. Plus it gives him time to get used to the idea of war." He says, "When I peered into him; Kay is more pacifist than a fighter or a killer. Being a shinobi is no joke and he knows this which is why we have four selections to choose from to battle harden him. Though I think Naruto would appreciate having his chakra control back if do that we will have to make it is when he defeated Pain."
The woman says nothing, this plan is nothing short of ridiculous she noted her objection yet given the circumstance surrounding the Shinobi world she will allow this, though her superior would say otherwise. Fate reveals four windows of different universes, they peered into dimension one by one to maximize which would be the best candidate for the boys to train in secret. After an extensive 2-hour debate, they came to an agreement to which they would send the boys.
"We'll wait until they fall asleep then we will drag them here into the plane, explain to them the situation and send them on their way."
Fate nods her head, "Very well, I'll get Sasuke ready within a few hours, I don't want to repeat myself twice."
A few hours went by; they waited until they were sure both the anomaly Sasuke and Naruto were asleep, for them, it is a tiring day trying to improve on chakra basics down and those dreaded trees walk, walking on water, and learning seals. Night had fallen over the shinobi world and Fate waves her hand bringing the two sleeping 7-year-old to the plane, she waves her hand again this time hanging a bucket of water over their heads and lets them have it.
The two are spluttering and coughing, anomaly Sasuke is the first to react, "Why would you do that?!"
"Good evening to you as well." She says with a slight twinkle in her eye, "How are you?"
Anomaly Sasuke wipes his face of the excess water grumbling under his breath as the woman leaves them, Naruto now fully awake growls but does nothing. He turns to the sage, "Hey Hagomoro-ojisan long time!"
"Naruto glad to see your good spirits." The Sage smiles, "Now where is the original Sasuke."
"I'm right here." He says coming in with Fate, his face is impassive giving nothing away
Fate then claps her hands, "Great now that the three of you are reunited, let's get down to business…" She pauses allowing the three to sit in front of her, she has their undivided attention, "Good, Hagoromo and I feel that the two of you; Naruto and Kay, have been moving very slowly in terms of changing events. While everything is being altered slowly that doesn't mean anything if you are restricted."
Kay is about to speak but he held his peace when Hagoromo held up his hands, "I know what you are going to say, I know you guys are trying but like I told you before forces are gathering and great strife will hit the land not just Konoha but everywhere in the nations. You must be prepared to face the danger which is why we agreed to allow you to train in secret until you are ready to come back and Naruto…" The blonde hard gaze met the sage, "We'll be giving you back your chakra…"
"Yatta!"
"Up until the point you faced Pain." He added, "You'll have access to your Sage Mode but in your Kyūbi mode you'll have to work on your own."
"Should have seen that coming." Naruto sighs, "Looks like I need to take that hatred out of Kurama again…."
"To make it a little more interesting Kurama is also a vixen, not a fox." This revelation floors Naruto, "Remember what I said Naruto just because everything looks the same doesn't mean that they are, different timeline means different everything."
Rolling her eyes Fate addresses the original Uchiha.
"Sasuke you alone will have your chakra intact when we reserve your age to match Naruto and Kay. The both of you will have to work with him to catch up with you."
"I see no reason for you to do that. If Kay is going to be learning from me let me stay the way that I am." He speaks
"No, because the world we are sending you requires teamwork, and given your history with your team this one will make up for the lost time. They both of you will teach Kay further than anyone else."
"Hn."
The idea of being on a team with Naruto again, he fought to suppress a shudder, yet he had to respect even begrudgingly that his blonde friend despite his struggles has been able to match his time and time again no matter how far he trained to surpass to become stronger Naruto always caught up to him one way or the other. Once he did try to break the bonds, he established with said blonde, yet he was always there to remind him of his failure as to why he couldn't break those bonds.
Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto because he is his closest friend. The path the Uchiha wanted to take in his life required him to sever all bonds to his former life before he and the most important of those bonds was the one he had to Naruto. Only by killing him could he become the avenger that he wanted to be. Tied to nothing and no one, devoted only to his revenge; that is until he found about his brother Itachi. The fact that Naruto was so devoted to bringing him back only fueled this conviction that he simply had to kill Naruto to make this happen.
Now?
He is not too sure if could bring himself to do it. Not because he could not do it, it is simply the fact that now he is not in high regard with neither Fate nor the Sage of the Six paths. He wasn't given the duty of fixing his own life they didn't trust him with the job, they implored at his doppelgänger who wears his face but has lines on his neck. Naruto was right, his status of being from one of the most powerful clans in Konoha meant nothing after death.
Everything was handed over to him on a silver platter, he didn't need to work for it if sole choose to do so. Just the name 'Uchiha Sasuke' would send girls blushing like crazy, he had everything while Naruto had nothing. Yet it was that nothing that drove him to have something, if his revolution is cut short that means that he idea for naught so what now is his purpose? On a whim did they say that he will come back but did it mean that he could go back home?
Sasuke had no clue, he was lost something very foreign to him. Now he had a student to teach the ways of the ninja and he had to share him with his friend.
Kay speaks up, "Where exactly are you sending us?"
"I'm glad you asked. You three will be sent to the world of Remnant, where young people train to become warriors called "Huntsmen" and "Huntresses" to protect their world from monsters called Grimm." Fate looks at the doppelgänger face, it was scrunched up in thinking, "Is something the matter?"
Both Naruto and Original Sasuke glance at Anomaly Sasuke tapping his chin with his knuckle, "Remnant, Grim, Huntress…EH!" As if the lightbulb went off, he looked at Fate surprised, "You are sending us to the RWBY universe? Why?"
Fate palmed her face, "Of course you knew that! Is there any universe you don't know about?"
"I don't get it. Kay, I thought you knew more about my universe'." Naruto's face said it all he was lost, "What is this RWBY universe?"
Kay sat Indian style crossing his arms underneath his chest, he is debating whether he should say something or not. Then again, the knowledge he has is extremely limited, with a frown and twist here and there he says, "The only thing I can say about it, it's a future-fantasy world with airships, high-tech weaponry and a form of natural energy called Dust, existing side by side. All living creatures possess a soul, the physical manifestation of which is known as Aura: a form of innate energy that bestows its user with certain abilities and powers. Semblances are expressions of this power and are akin to a personal superpower unique to each character. Remnant is populated by two species - Humanity and the Faunus, a species of Human-animal hybrids. If my memory serves me correct there is a secret war ongoing between two factions though the names escape me. I might know them if I see them or hear the name and not just that humans are racist to their Faunus counterpart. There's that."
"More war I take it. You expect us to fight in this?" Sasuke asks, "Your better off leaving the two idiots where they are now instead of doing this."
"HEY/OI!"
"You are correct Sasuke in a sense, but Kay needs to be battle harden to make the tough choices, this is where the adventure for you three will start. Sasuke you are twin brothers with Sosuke, Naruto is your childhood friend, and you lost your village to these creatures known as Grim, any question?"
"So, my new name is Sosuke now and I have to be battle-ready for kaiju level threats? Great…" Kay is not happy with this at all, "First, I somehow end up in the Naruto universe, now I am going to the RWBY-verse? Will, I ever get home?"
"Please understand that you volunteered for this, we could have sent Naruto if we wanted to."
"I know." He sighs
Naruto keeps silent, would his life be the same without Kay interfering as Sasuke? Would he have done a better job at this solo? He did not know, there are too many unknowns in this that he is glad for the interference of this anomaly; it proved useful. He would not have been able to bond with his mother whom he never got to meet in the original timeline. He is saddened that he never got a chance to know his father, but something was something.
Fate spoke interrupting his thoughts, "To answer your question Sosuke. This universe is the most logical one to get you in. Two worlds required balance which you would have somehow, someway disturbed it further. In the last universe we saw; you have no defense against beings called Nova or their Freezing fields. Though it would have been better to send you to that world…"
"Sosuke step forward." Hagoromo cutting off Fate, the young anomaly stands before the Sage, "Stretch out your hands...both of them." As he did the Sage holds out his staff and suddenly, he feels a sudden rush of power overtake him. The process took a few moments as quickly as the surge began it ceased. Sosuke looks at his palms noticing two diamonds one black on his left, one white on his right. He stares back at the sage in a questioning matter.
"Those are Kāma. It is a seal that serves as a compressed backup of an Ōtsutsuki clan member's biological data that they can embed in the body of a chosen recipient known as a vessel." This alarms the three, "However, I took the liberty of modifying the Kama so it won't override your genetic makeup. When activated, the Kāma will significantly enhance your physical abilities along with the strength of Godzilla. It will enhance the power of all your jutsus, and it can absorb chakra and chakra-based attacks like ninjutsu. Kāma can also be used as a medium for Space-Time Ninjutsu, opening rifts to any location at will. For now, it is sealed away until you gain proper chakra control and/or have the Rinne-Sharingan."
The Sage motions for Naruto, Fate now joins while placing her palm on his head, Naruto can feel the surge of power coursing through his veins. When it is done, he has his eyes closed for the moment and when he reopens them it reveals twin sage eyes that look like toad eyes, they soon fade away.
"For a final gift for your journey." A bright light flashes and the woman holds a small wooden box in her hands. When it opens three scrolls are within, "These scrolls are incredibly special they contain all jutsu knowledge within them…" The boys are pleased with this, "However, you are limited to 3 choices of jutsus to learn. Once you pick your 3 the scrolls will lock themselves, so no refunds, no trade backs choose wisely. Also, it will show you how to perform them. Once mastered, the scrolls will disappear."
The boys looked at the scroll in their hands, this was going to be interesting.
"Any more questions?"
"What about Godzilla and Kurama? Are they coming with us?"
"Yes." Fate replies, "They are sealed within you, so it won't be a problem to communicate with them." She goes to Sasuke, a bright light illuminates him and suddenly Sasuke is back to his 7-year-old body. Fate turns to Hagoromo, "Well, I think it is time, shall we?"
The sage nods, he claps his hands then closes his eyes for about a moment. Fate puts a hand on his shoulders. He opens his eyes, "Yomotsu Hirasaka!" A portal opens behind the three boys, the void is unnerving, so Naruto is the first to go through out of the three. Sosuke is the last to enter yet not before Fate calls out to him, "Kay when you need to get contact with us clap your hands and pour chakra into them."
He nods before disappearing into the portal.
Location Unknown
When the disorientation stops, Sosuke spots Naruto and Sasuke looking at their surroundings. From the rich brown earthen hues of the forest ground to the sweetness of the blue-white sky; the forest is a three-dimensional wonderland for the eyes. The green is everywhere but along the way is a pathway.
"We need to stick together; these forests are creeping with Grimm," Sosuke says
"What so special about these Grimm?" Naruto asked as they began to walk next to each other, "What makes them so unique?"
"Unfortunately, I can't give you too much detail reason being I don't remember much about them. I'll try to give you what I do know. They look like wolves, bears, and a scorpion, to be honest, I never really watched the entire season 1." He scratches the back of his head, "I know there are more volumes and some key points I just don't remember them well."
Sasuke clicks his tongue, "In this world, you come from Sosuke…" That was a weird thing rolling off his tongue, "…Is everything a cartoon? Not just me and Naruto. Everything is literally a cartoon?"
"More or less yes."
Sasuke gives an 'hn.
They travel in silence observing the forest, another 20 minutes of walking Naruto had a déjà vu moment. It is like they were here before or were they going around in circles? All the leaves look the same. Yet a sense of foreboding was knocking in the back of his head, he quickly looked towards the right he could have sworn that a pair of eyes were staring at them.
"I don't like this. I feel like we are being watched." Naruto says uneasily
"Hn."
"You too huh?"
"Hn."
"You can say that again."
"Hn."
"Translation for some of us who don't speak fluent Sasuke, what's he saying?" The twin states. He shook his head how did Naruto understand all that is beyond him.
"The Teme…" He is earned a disapproving grunt, "Says he feels the same, I don't know where they are coming but we are surrounded."
Sosuke glances around. He sees nothing despite that he does feel the tension growing in his stomach, something is about to happen. Swallowing he looks up ahead, he points his finger while the two veteran shinobi look.
"There is clearing up ahead." The young anomaly races up ahead of him, breaching it he finds himself looking at a village in the distance. When he turns around at the sound of a twig snapping, they are taken aback to see a pack of large Grimm who had a short, wide snout with its teeth overlapping over its jaw. The Grimm's lacks eyes but had canine ears and quill-like spines on its back, mostly the color on them is black with a mixture of red and white.
The pack began to snarl and growl at them, the trio stood back it then that Naruto spoke, "I take it that this a Grimm?"
"Yes, be on guard, these things are dangerous."
You did not have to tell Sasuke twice as reached for his Sword of Kusanagi, which is hilariously big for his hands. The bigger Grimm seemed to be the alpha of the wolf-like creatures. It comes up to the boys sniffing them. Both Uchiha's watched with bated breath wondering what the creature is doing, hoping to avoid conflict.
The next thing they knew the wolf-like creature licks Naruto's cheek, perplexed by this the blonde turns to his friend who shrugs in return unsure what to say. Sheathing his sword Sasuke though weary is sniffed then licked, he grimaces from the salvia dripping from his face.
"I thought you said these things are dangerous, are you sure?" Sasuke asks folding his arms looking impassive.
Before the doppelgänger could reply another wolflike creature goes to Sosuke, he is frozen on the spot watching carefully for any sudden movements that mean to attack. The other creature circles the trio and the creature that did sniff Sosuke begins to howl soon enough the entire pack howls. They leave another moment later.
Sosuke blinks owlishly while the other two are baffled by this strange occurrence. "To be honest I don't know what to think anymore. Let us just get into town before they come back."
Within the small village located on the outskirts of the country known as Sanus; merchants are seen going back and forth walking within the gated town, the people mind their business not a care in the world. The streets are busy as people stopped for nothing going about their day. Though for one small little girl about the age of 6 with an appropriate trio of colors in her hair of pink, brown, and strands of white in her pink hair. She lives in a cardboard box, her face is dirty, her clothes ripped, and her hair is a mess today, today may be her last meal.
The small girl looks at the find she has it was not much, just a rotten loaf of bread with a half-eaten apple that is decomposing. She could feel the tears threatening to fall as she trembled to bite into it. When was her last official real meal? It was a month ago after she ran away from the orphanage to escape 1 year ago. The young girl struggled in the streets trying to live off the crumbs that fell from people's baskets. She sneaked a fresh apple that would fall off the basket enjoying its savory juices, sometimes it was a different type of fruit. She wondered why nobody wanted her, every year it was the same thing, a family would come, and no matter how playful she'd be or how smart she showed no one ever picked her.
The boys and girls who she lived with always picked on her for the coloring of her hair, it wasn't her choice that she had multicolored hair when she was born or the fact that she had to different eye colors. It got to the point where they began to be physical with her. Sometimes the older kids would beat her up just because she had a snack they didn't or when the caretaker would give her something special, they would take it away from her. One of them pulled a kitchen knife on her terrifying her into silence, she never spoke again after they cut her. The bread piece made it to her lips, perhaps this is the way; she would not be a bother to anyone else.
Just then she hears a man screaming on top of his lungs, "GET BACK HERE YOU THIEVES!"
The little girl is knocked over along with her makeshift cardboard house, her food squished by a footprint and she is devastated by the loss. She worked so hard to find that piece of bread to have as her last meal.
She did not have time to mourn her loss when a hand grabs her pulling her along. The hand she notes is that of a child older than her. Her little legs ran quickly but she did not have the strength so when she collapsed on her feet due to fatigue of not eating right, the older kid simply picks up piggybacks and runs.
"ナルト！ 今クローン！" (Trans: Naruto! Clones now!)
"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" Multiple Naruto clones raced alongside them and they soon found themselves covered in gray smoke the little girl is in awe at this ability with the wind whipping her face.
"What the!"
The man who was chasing them stopped, he had to wipe his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things. He saw many of the dark-haired, blonde, and multicolor children run in a different direction, he groaned loudly how was he supposed to catch them now?
Growling he walked away muttering under his breath.
Meanwhile, the quad group snuck into an alleyway panting hard trying to regain composure, the little girl on the ducktail child back forgot her hunger eyeing these strange strangers. They spoke in a language that she never heard before, she felt herself slide off him.
The boy argued with his comrades, she looked between them. She notices that another boy has the same style of hair as the one who carried her. He has black eyes and spiky black hair with a blue tint. His hair is long hanging over his face; when the one who carried her turned his attention to her, he had the same features, they were twin brothers.
She didn't know what to do but her stomach sure did.
"You can't just go around and taking things that don't belong to you! That's simply wrong!"
"We're shinobi it's in the job description Sosuke." Sasuke rolls his eyes, "If you don't like it then maybe you shouldn't open your mouth when you wanted to be me."
"That's not the point!" He argues back
Groowwllll
The boys turn to the 6-year-old girl blushing a crimson red. Naruto reaches into the makeshift bag pulling out fresh fruit, the girls' eyes sparkle as he gives her the apple. Greedily she wolfs it down, a low whistle is heard, she looks up wanting more.
Sosuke grabs more fruit giving it to her, the girl happily munches on it, Sosuke looks at both his comrades. Naruto is more sympathetic since he knows what it is to be living in the streets while his moon counterpart shows no emotions. Naruto is about to reach into the bag when Sasuke stops him, "No more! She'll run us dry!"
"Are you willing to let someone else suffer who probably hasn't eaten in a while? Look at her Sasuke she is skin and bone! I won't let her go hungry, ttebayo!"
"Hn!" He is a bit more forceful in keeping the blondes in the makeshift pouch, "I said not a single food more, we need to eat as well!"
Naruto and Sasuke get into an argument Sosuke shakes his head side to side, "Morons." He now shifts his focus back to the girl inspecting her and suddenly a teenage version of this girl flashes through his mind. He notes the pink and brown hair he knew her immeditaly, "Neo." He whispers her name as if she is going to vanish from his sight.
The girl looks at him curiously as he kneels in front of the short girl.
"Hi." He says, the girl waves, "My name is Sosuke Uchiha, this is my twin brother Sasuke and our best friend Naruto Uzumaki." She notes them then he says, "Do you know your way around this town?"
She nods
"Are you mute?"
Neo looks down, then turns around. She felt herself crying again asking a question like that brought back despair and back to the incident.
"Hey, I'm sorry I didn't know that was a personal question." He pats her head; she turns with the meanest pout she could muster for a 6-year-old. Sosuke chuckles pinching her cheeks, "Cute."
Then he says to the other two in their native tongue while holding her hand, "We're keeping her."
"NANI!?"
"What makes you think that we are going to be keeping her around? Who made you the leader? She'll only slow us down and that will be another mouth to feed, we don't have the luxury of taking more than we can bear."
"That your problem Sasuke, you're not thinking about a potential ally. She may be small, but she definitely knows the streets here better than we plus I refuse to let someone else get their hands on her."
"No, and that final." He stated firmly
"We are keeping her whether you like it or not!" He said through gritted teeth, "Nothing you say is going to change my mind."

For those of you tuning into the story this is the spinoff sequel to 2018 hit The Kajiu Jailor so I recommend you read that first before you read this one so you can understand what will be happening here.
