Hello everyone and welcome to my brand new story. This is my first outing on a story without FMW so I like to give it a shot and see where it goes.
This story idea came from the idea of other characters that could pop up in Infinite Wars but due to the overabundance of characters already and more to come. I decided to tell these characters stories in its own story in the form of one shot tales. They will be in the form of anthologies like the Clone Wars series that just ended. Of course you all know that he's doing his own anthology story within Infinite Wars but my anthologies are one shot and will be connected to Infinite Wars while others will be standalone that won't connect at all. Some could continue depending on how popular this gets or not. The first chapter takes place after the Mandalore arc before the start of the next arc.
Bear in mind the writing quality and my storytelling since I'm not up to par with FMW and Jebest. So some chapters can either be long or short depending on the one shot.

Planet Tatooine
Tatooine, a desolate backwater world that had assumed a great deal of importance for the rest of the galaxy.
The actions of Anakin Skywalker and Ahoska Tano rescuing Jabba the Hutt's son Rotta, allowed the Republic Army safe passage through the secret Hutt Space Hyperlanes and Arkanis sector. With Jabba's Empire and the Hutt Cartel becoming allies to the Republic, they were given permission to set up a Republic Outpost to monitor the safety and security of the Hyperspace lanes.
Republic Outpost Krayt, home to the 369th Clone Battalion who were known as the 'Watchdogs" to the rest of the GAR. It was home to Jedi General Master Ferroda and two unique prototype Clones known respectively as X1 and X2. Unlike the other clones that were of Jango DNA, X1 and X2 were the product of early DNA templates from a Jedi Knight; however, the extraordinary costs of producing so much as two led to the Kaminoans to discontinue the efforts. X1 and X2 were relegated to be part of the regular Clone Army as ordinary soldiers. However their force sensitivity led them to become much more independent and resistant to the traditional mental conditioning of the standard clone troopers. This led them to both become captains by the time the Clone Wars broke out. X1 and X2 were placed under the tutelage of Jedi Master Ferroda, a Pantoran Jedi Master and Republic General.
It was another day at Krayt Outpost with nothing happening near Arkanis Sector.
Communication planetwide had been in disarray for most of the day; the Clones just chalked it up as a minor glitch until realizing they weren't receiving any transmission from any of the major settlements on Tatooine.
X1 and X2 along with a platoon of Clones were heading out to the hot deserts to investigate the source of the communication interference.
"I'm telling you, when I was at Mos Espa some junk dealers were trying to rip me off on some Astromech parts and he said they were the best around and just came in" X2 said.
"Give it rest little brother, you should've known those junk dealers are always looking to make some quick credits" X1 said to his little brother.
"Sir, why are we out here anyway, this is too far from the Outpost" a Clone Trooper asked his commanding officer.
"The boys back at base managed to track the source of the signal interference coming from Jundland Wastes." X1 said.
"The Jundland Wastes... Isn't it inhabited by the Tusken Raiders sir?" another clone trooper asked.
"You're correct trooper, but it's unlikely they're behind this. They're not that smart to be messing with plantwide communication, let alone having the capabilities to pull this off to begin with." X1 said.
"Any word on General Ferroda sir?"
"Negative trooper, Master Ferroda was out on patrol in the Arkanis sector when we lost contact with The Patience. Until we can re-establish contact, we're on our own." X2 chimed in.
"Let's hurry this up then, we have a scheduled supply shipment and I don't wanna be late for it." X1 said.
"Sir we're coming up on the source of the interference, but the canyons are too narrow for me to settle the ship down." A clone pilot said.
"Drop us at the entrance and we will walk from there." X1 ordered the pilot.
"Yes sir."
"Alright everyone, be on the lookout for Tuskegee Raiders and stick together, understood?" X2 relayed the orders to all clones
"Sir, yes sir!" The Clones exclaimed.
Krayt Outpost
"Any changes yet trooper?" a Clone trooper with a color pauldron marking him a Sergeant asked.
"Nothing yet, just static on the other end," a Clone Radar Technician replied.
"Keep trying, we need to get those communications back online. We don't want the Seps to get dropped on us." the Clone Sergeant said.
"Yes sir."
On the other side of the room dedicated to monitoring the planetary outer space, a group of clones were having an interesting conversation.
"Did you know that one of the Avengers can grow really big? I don't mean just big but so humongous that he was able to fight a Zillo Beast on Coruscant." A Clone sitting in front of a computer and writing up a report said.
"I heard one of them runs so fast that he leaves behind a silver streak, you won't even notice what happens until it is too late," the clone sitting beside him said.
"Did you hear recently that they stopped a Death Watch scheme going down on Coruscant?"
"Yeah and because of the Dutchess's recent actions, Mandalore is now going to be under Republic occupation."
"Guys, I'm picking up a vessel entering our air space."
"Can you identify it?"
"It's a Consular-class cruiser. I think it's our scheduled shipment we were supposed to be receiving sir."
"Have you confirmed the clearance code?"
"Hmmmm, yes sir, it checks out."
"Alright, tell the boys to open the hangar and lower the base's defenses. We don't want to shoot one of our own from the skies."
"Understood sir."
Scene Break
"Once we verify the shipment, see if you two can get access to their onboard comms to send out a message to General Ferroda." The Clone Sergeant orders his two clone subordinates.
"Maybe finally we can see what's been going on."
The ramps began to open down when something shot out and attached to the Sergeant face. Before the other two clones could react, blaster fire quickly silenced them both. Down the ramp walked a Trandoshan. Trandoshan Mercenary to be exact.
The Trandoshan Mercenary made a signal and more Trandoshans started pouring out.
(Spread out and clear the hangar.) The Trandoshan said in Dosh as more Trandoshan and Scavenger Droids fanned out to eliminate the Clone Troopers on site.
(Bring out the dispenser and deploy the Battle Droids.) The Trandoshan leader ordered as Trandoshans started bringing out big capsules.
The Trandoshans began inputting codes and within seconds the capsules opened and out came B1 and B2 Battle Droids.
They began to assault the headquarters, the Clones station within were caught off guard and the alarms all over the Outpost went off.
Clones everyone frantically arm themselves realizing their under attack and fought back against the invader without realizing that this is just a warm up.
Scene Break
X1 and X2 continued their trek to find the source of the interference when one of the Scout troopers who X2 sent ahead to provide sniper overwatch for the group spotted something in the distance.
"Commander, I've sighted some body silhouette not far from where you're at." The Scout Trooper informed X1.
"Copy that trooper, coming up on it now." X1 said.
The group then stumble upon the dead bodies of Tusken Raiders. The bodies have been riddled with blaster marks while some were cut down or stabbed. A couple of the bodies emitted smoke as if they were electrocuted to death.
"Who could have done this sir?" a Clone Trooper asked.
X2 examined their surroundings and noticed blaster bolt markings all around the area.
"Brother, whoever took on these Tusken Raiders weren't amateurs," X2 said
"So you noticed too huh? We keep moving. Whoever is here must be the ones disturbing our communication," X1 said
"You heard the Commander! Be on the alert and look out for hostiles. We don't know what we're facing so have your weapons ready. Am I clear?" X2 asked the Clone Platoon.
All the Clones nodded and everyone continued their trek. They stumbled upon more Tusken Raider bodies and kept going until the Scout Trooper reported in.
"Sir, I think I see a structure dead ahead."
"What kind of structure Trooper?" X1 asked.
"A tall antenna like structure from the looks of it. The readings I'm picking up indicated that this may well be the source of the disturbance to our communication sir." The Scout Trooper reported.
"Copy that trooper, making our way to it now. Keep eye out for trouble." X1 said.
"Copy that Commander."
"Brother, something feels wrong." X2 warned as the antenna came into sight.
"I feel it too bro, even from the start I couldn't shake this feeling that something is going to go down." X1 agreed.
They finally arrived at the antenna and X1 motioned with his hand for the platoon to spread out and secure the perimeter. Upon inspection there were crates of weapons and wires around the site.
"Sir, these weapons. They're slugthrowers," A clone trooper said as his squad inspected the weapons cache.
"Let me see it." X2 said.
The clone trooper threw the slugthrower to X2, who caught it and inspected the weapon. The weapon took the form of shotgun with a handle to grab onto the sides to steady the recoil of the shot when taken. The cartridge it's holding is lifting up green as if it's storing energy. After examining it thoroughly, X2 face scowls.
"Brother these Slugthrowers, they ar-" X2 words cutoff as he senses incoming danger.
"Trooper look out!" X1 shouted as a scavenger droid latched on to a clone trooper's head carrying him off as his screams echoed all around.
"AMBUSH!" X2 shouted. Trandoshan mercenaries and Separatist Battle Droids started pouring out from behind the structure. Battle Droids are appear over the ridges while Trandoshan pop out of makeshift trapdoors.
Clones took cover and began firing back.
"Where the heck did they come from?" A clone shouted as he fired back and hit a battle droid.
"Does it matter? The real question is what are Trandoshan Mercenaries doing here, especially with Sep battle droids?"
"The Sep must be selling them off to get a quick profit," X1 said, shooting as he shot down scavenger battle droids that were approaching his troops.
"Well whatever the case, we need to finish this up or we're all toast here," X2 said
"We'll divide into two groups; I'll take my squad to deal with these Trandoshans while you take your squad to deal with the Battle droids." X1 suggested.
"Sounds like plan bro," X2 acknowledged.
"5th squad on me, we're gonna take it to the clankers!" X2 said to his squad.
The clones all nodded and began following X2 into the firefight.
"Trooper, are you still with me?" X1 asked the status of the Scout Trooper.
"I'm here sir."
"I need covering fire on the troops, concentrating on taking out scavenger droids and Trandoshan with explosive devices." X1 said
"Copy that sir."
X1 meanwhile continued firing back at Trandoshan Mercenaries and Slavers as they evaded blaster fire.
A couple of the scavenger droids got a few of X1's troopers by shocking them, but not before being blasted to scraps by their clone brethren.
X1 eventually got close enough to pull out his force pike and engage the Trandoshan in close quarter combat. Many of the Trandoshan were unfortunate victims of X1's manslaughter as he quickly put them down. He dodged and weaved through blaster fire as he kept striking them down until there was no more.
"All clear." X1 said as he examined the Trandoshan corpses surrounding him.
"Commander, you just went right through them as if you were a Jedi." A clone trooper praised his commanding officer.
"It's no big deal trooper, it's all covered in the training." X1 said as he put away his force pike.
"If you say so sir." the clone trooper said with doubt after witnessing what his commander just displayed.
"Set charges to that antenna, I want communications back online." X1 ordered his troops.
They all nodded and went to work on their assignment.
Back with X2, he and his squad were taking out battle droids and continuing to push them back.
"Concentrate your fire on those Super Battle Droids." X2 ordered his squad.
More fire was then concentrated on the B2 Battle droids have blaster fired kept being traded until the all the droids went down.
X2 threw a thermal detonator to finish off the remaining battle droids. Once that was done, they quickly advanced to the caves where they had come from to find something that shocked X2 and his squad.
"Sir, are you seeing what i'm seeing?'' A clone asked as he examined an empty dispenser.
In the caves there were a plethora of droid dispensers. Some had recently opened while others were still in stasis waiting to be opened.
"I'm seeing trooper; it's no wonder the Trandoshans got so many clankers on the planet without our notice or detection." X2 said as he too looked around.
"Troopers, set the dispensers to self-destruct. I don't want any more surprises." X2 ordered.
Minutes later, they all evacuated the caves just before an explosion went off.
"Alright that should take care of those clankers. Let's regroup back with my brother; he should be wrapping up." X2 said.
"How do you know the commander is okay sir?" a Clone questioned, saying what was on the mind of all the clones in the squad.
"Because I know it trooper. Just call it a hunch. Lets go." X2 said.
Seeing as their Captain wasn't going to clarify any further they all just shrugged and moved along.
At the Antenna, the Clones were just finishing setting up the charges.
"The charges are in place and are ready to detonate on your command sir," A Clone trooper said as he handed over the dentanator to X1.
"Good, the sooner we blow this up the sooner we can get out of here," X1 said.
"Brother," X2 shouted as he ran up to him.
"Little brother, you're just in time to see the fireworks go off," X1 said.
"Brother, when my squad eliminated the battle droids we found out how they were sneaked in. They were brought in through droid dispensers," X2 explained.
"Dispensers, are you sure?" X1 questioned his little brother.
"Positive, it screams Sep all over," X2 confirmed.
"This is concerning. Let's blow this antenna and report back to General Ferroda," X1 said.
"Right,'' X2 said.
As everyone stayed clear of the blast radius, X1 detonated the charges and the Antenna was no more as it came crashing down.
As the smoke clears, the smouldering wreckage
of the Antennae is all that remains.
"That should do it, communications should be back online," X1 said.
A few moments later, comms started to blair.
"We're under attack, I repeat we're under attack! This is the 396th Battalion of Krayt Outpost. The base has been overrun and we are pinned down. Can anyone out there hear us? please respond!''
"This is Commander X1 speaking, what going on Trooper?" X1 said over the comms.
"Trandoshans and Clankers just came out of nowhere and started attacking, we don't know how they got in but they surprised us and we had to fall back," a clone trooper said over the radio.
"Sit tight, we're on our way," X1 said.
"Brother, I think I figured out what's going on," X2 said.
"I did too little brother, this is all making sense now. It's an invasion."
"What! What do you mean sir? The Seps couldn't have bypassed the general's fleet," a clone said.
"They didn't, cause they're already here." X2 continued, The Separatist hired the Trandoshan Mercenaries to smuggle Droid Dispensers on Tatooine, then they set up this Antenna tower to disrupt our communication so we couldn't call for backup." X2 explained to the rest of the battalion present.
"Once they capture our outpost, they'll send in the all clear signal and the rest of the invasion will come through and use the Hyperspace lanes through Arkanis sector to hit Republic controlled worlds," X1 continued his little brother's explanation.
"What do we do sir?" asked a Clone Trooper.
"If our men are still fighting off the Seps back at base, then that means they haven't sent the all clear signal," X2 replied.
"Little brother is right. We have to retake the base and warn General Ferroda about a coming invasion. He'll then have to warn the nearby Republic fleets to back up the Patience and his fleet to dwarf a Seps invasion," X1 said.
"Sir do you really believe we can retake the base ourselves, even if we regroup with survivors at Krayt Outpost? It won't be nearly enough men to retake the base." a clone spoke up.
"The clones at Rishi Outpost did the impossible and held off an invasion force of their own, preventing Kamino from being invaded," X2 countered.
"Yeah, but they had an Avenger with them to help out." a clone said.
"Look, what brother is trying to tell you is that nothing is impossible if we all pull through for each other. If we don't retake the outpost, more of your brothers who are out there fighting will be killed." X1 said to the clone battalion.
"I get that it seems we're in a losing situation but that can't stop us from doing our duty for the Republic and for the lives of all your brothers," X2 said.
All the clones contemplated, then resolved to stop the Seps invasion.
"What's the plan sir?" A clone asked.
X1 and X2 looked at each other with smirks on their faces.
Scene Break
Smoke rose from Krayt Outpost as the fighting of the surviving clone of the 369th Battalion continued. The Watchdogs valiantly fought their hardest to hold off a surprise attack but the overwhelming numbers of Trandoshans and Separatist Battle Droids pushed the survivors to the edge of the base.
A small temporary command post had been set up to tend to the wounded and redirect clones to cover flanks.
"Sir our right flank has collapsed," a clone reported to his sergeant.
"Tell them to fall back to secondary defenses," a clone sergeant ordered the clone trooper.
"Yes sir,"the clone trooper ran off to relay the orders
"Have we got any updates from the general or the Patience?" the clone sergeant asked.
"Negative sir, they must've been blocking our direct communication to the fleet sir," a clone radar technician replied.
"Damn it. Any word on reinforcements?" asked the Clone sergeant.
"Commander X1 and Captain X2 are on their way as we speak sir," the radar clone said.
"They better hurry, we can't hold them off for long," the clone sergeant said.
A clone trooper hurriedly ran up to the sergeant.
"Sergeant, the center line has been overrun!"
"What!? Damn... Listen up troopers, the line has been broken. Everyone meet at my location now," the clone sergeant said over his comms.
Soon all remaining clones lined up behind makeshift defenses, ready to make their final stand.
"Here they come!" a clone trooper shouted.
Trandoshan mercenaries, slavers, and Sep Battle Droids all started making their way towards the clones when a barrage of rockets started hitting the invading forces.
The Clones looked up and cheered as gunships arrived to provide air support and clear out the advancing ground forces. One of the gunships landed and out came the twin clone commanders.
"Commander X1 and Captain X2, you don't know how glad I am to see you two sirs." the Sergeant said with relief.
"Then it's a good thing we arrived when we did." X2 said.
"What happened?" X1 asked the clone sergeant.
"While you two were away, the scheduled supply ship arrived and out came Trandoshans with deploying battle droids from the hangar. We were caught off guard and didn't have a chance to retaliate." the clone sergeant recounted.
"So that's how they got into the base and bypassed our security. They posed as one of our ships when communication was down to easily infiltrate the outpost," X2 said.
"What's the plan sir?" the clone sergeant asked X1.
"The gunship for the moment will provide air support while me and X2 will take a squad with us to retake the base and send out an emergency distress call to notify General Ferroda of the situation." X1 went over the plan.
"It will only be a matter of time until the Trandoshan brings out anti air guns to eliminate our gunships so concentrate on eliminating the Trandoshans while we retake the base," X2 said.
"Understood sir," the clone sergeant replied.
In the occupied base command center, the Trandoshan leader is gritting his teeth about the development. They were supposed to have taken over the outpost hours ago but clone resistance was being stubborn and setting back the time that he was supposed to send the all clear signal. It was only a matter of time before Republic forces noticed a fleet buildup.
("What is the holdup, why is it taking so long to crush these pathetic clones?") The Trandoshan leader said in Bosh to another Trandoshan.
("Clone reinforcements have arrived and are pushing our men back.") a Trandoshan mercenary said to his leader.
("If the clones are receiving reinforcements, then the protection team has failed to protect the jamming tower. Send out the remaining battle droids we have, I am not going to fail a contract.") the Trandoshan leader said to his subordinate.
He nodded and went to carry out his instructions.
Scene Break
Just a few blocks away from the base, X1 and X2 along with a selected squad of clones made their way towards the base. They used secret routes to bypass oncoming battle droids heading towards the battle.
"Alright we're getting close. Once we're at the base stealth won't be an option since Trandoshans can smell us from miles away," X2 said to the clone squad consisting of 12 men of 5th squad including X1 and X2.
"Here's how this is going to work, 5th squad you're going to draw the Trandoshan attention by firing a rocket at the hangar. Once that gets their attention, me and X2 are going to sneak in, take out any guards in our way and X2 is going to activate the emergency distress signal. While I'm going to eliminate the Trandoshan leader and hopefully by then, General Ferroda should arrive with Republic reinforcements so we can be relieved." X1 said
All the clones nodded in understanding. If they failed the entire 369th would be annihilated and the Separatist would come unopposed.
Then both groups split up to do their tasks. X1 and X2 got close enough to base and waited for the troopers to kick off the first phase of the plan.
A Clone Trooper peeked around a corner to see the hangar and aimed his rocket launcher before firing. A missile launched and hit the Republic consular ship, causing the entire hangar to explode. It drew the remaining Trandoshan guards' attention and not a moment later, blaster fire erupted.
The Trandoshan Guards fired back and the 5th squad continued firing while making a retreat. The Trandoshan pursued the fleeing clones.
"Now ours chance, go," X1 said to his little brother.
Both went inside and took out any Trandoshans or Battle Droids in their path before eventually coming across Trandoshan Elites. They were the largest of the Trandoshan mercenaries and were armed with LJ-150 heavy ACP repeaters.
X1 and X2 quickly took cover as the Trandoshan Elites with a chain gun arrived.
They kept pinned down with continuous firing as they slowly approached their position.
"What now?" X2 asked his brother.
"Do you still have a Thermal Detonator on you?"
"I do, why?" X2 questioned.
"I'm gonna need you to arm it and once they're close, throw it. It will charge out at them and finish them off," X1 said.
X2 nodded and began arming the Thermal Detonator. When the Trandoshan Elites were finally in range X2 tossed the detonator.
It exploded right in front of the two Trandoshan Elites. It didn't kill them but stunned them so they couldn't fire.
X1 and X2 charged at the two Trandoshans while both pulled out their force pikes.
X1 kicked away the Elite chain gun and sliced at his throat before stabbing went through his chest.
X2 slid behind the other Elite to make a cut at his knees to bring him down before finishing him off with a stab to his heart.
"That takes care of that, it looks like this is where we split up," X1 said.
"I'll make sure the distress signal is out. And be careful brother," X2 said to X1.
"Aren't I always little brother?" X1 smirked.
"I'm serious. Trandoshan leaders are not to be taken lightly. There's a reason why Trandoshan Leaders are called Trandoshan Leaders," X2 urged.
"Alright I'll be careful if it makes you feel any better little brother," X1 smirked.
"That's all I ask, I'll meet up with you once I get the signal out," X2 said, reaffirming the plan.
Both brothers then split up to carry out their respective missions.
X2 took out any remaining resistance in his path and before he knew it had reached the comms room. He took out the Trandoshans who were guarding the room and made his way to a control console to activate the distress signal.
"Alright, this should do it." X2 said to himself as he typed in the emergency codes to begin sending out the distress signal.
"This Captain X2 of Krayt Outpost, we are under attack. A Separatist invasion is imminent, I repeat a Separatist invasion is imminent, we need Republic reinforcements!" X2 said in the console.
"Now I just got to meet up with my bro-."
Then X2 eyes widened and his heart clenched as he saw his brother was in danger. Quickly, he ran out the room to make his way to his older brother.
X1 too had made work of any Trandoshans or battle droids in his path on his way tobefore reaching the command center.
He took out the Trandoshan guards before entering the command room and coming face to face with the Trandoshan leader.
"You're brave to come alone to challenge me, trooper. But I wonder something, you're not a clone are you?" The Trandoshan leader said, speaking in basic.
"I'm a clone alright, but I'm one of a kind," X1 said to the Trandoshan Leader.
"So it would seem," the Trandoshan leader responded as both men started circling each other.
"Surrender now and call off your men," X1 demanded.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, my group has been contracted and I am going to fulfill it by any means," the Trandoshan Leader said.
"Did the Seps pay your group to do all this?" X1 asked.
"I don't reveal my client's business, clone," the Trandoshan leader hissed at X1 before unsheathing his Vibrosword.
"It's going to be like that huh? Alright I'll play your game," X1 tossed his blaster away and pulled out his force pike.
They continued circling each other until the Trandoshan leader roared and charged at X1. X1 quickly brought up his force pike to block the Vibrosword strike. The Trandoshan leader stepped back and swung his sword again only for X1 to dodge and made a slice on the Trandoshan.
The duel continued until The Trandoshan got the upper hand.
The Trandoshan blocked another of X1's slice and continued forward, shoving the clone to the ground. X1 lifted the force pike, ready to block the next attack, but was too late. The Trandoshan leader brought his Vibrosword down through X1's stomach.
"You were a worthy opponent, clone. I'll make sure your death is swift and painless," the Trandoshan leader said as he lifted his vibrosword to finish off X1.
X2 bursted into the command room to only see his older brother down on the ground with The Trandoshan leader swinging down his Vibrosword to execute X1.
"NO!" X2 shouted, and ran forward with a burst of speed he didn't know he had. X2 pulled out his force pike and blocked the Vibrosword from killing X1.
The Trandoshan was shocked to find his blade intercepted and by another clone that resembled the defeated commander.
"So you weren't the only one of a kind clone," the Trandoshan leader said as he stepped back to gauge his opponent.
"Sorry to disappoint," X2 said as he stepped in front of his brother and took a quick glance at him to make sure he was okay.
"No matter, it will be all the more satisfying when I bring back two heads of clones as my trophies," the Trandoshan leader said.
"Not gonna happen, this is end now," X2 said with his force pike raised, ready to fight.
The Trandoshan leader roared as he charged into the fight.
X2 blocked a few strikes before receiving a punch to the head. He retaliated back with a punch of his own. The Trandoshan Leader reeled, but continued swinging the vibrosword, hoping to land a deadly blow.
Both combatants kept trading sword plays until X2 saw an opening and quickly slid under The Trandoshan Leader's wide swing. He struck his leg, bringing The Trandoshan Leader to his knees as he hissed in pain.
X2 took advantage and kicked his sword away from his hand. He held his pike at his throat.
"It's over, you're under arrest," X2 said.
The Trandoshan Leader had no choice but to surrender and comply.
X2 brought out handcuffs and quickly secured the Trandoshan Leader. Once that was done, he went check on his older brother.
"Are you okay bro?" X2 asked.
"Yeah I'll be alright little brother, just need some bacta and I'll be back on my feet. Do you really think a wound like this would stop me?" X1 asked, but winced trying to get up. X2 moved forward and supported him by slinging his arm over his shoulder.
"You're right, you're too stubborn for your own good brother," X2 joked.
"Very funny, now what do we do about him?" X1 questioned as they stared at their prisoner.
"We hold him as a prisoner and interrogate him on what he knows about the Seps. Maybe he holds information that the Republic can use," X2 said.
"Do you hear that?" X1 said to his brother.
"I do, hold up," X2 said as he went over to the holodesk and found a signal beeping. X2 looked it over in horror to find that it was the all clear signal. The invasion fleet was coming.
"What did you do?" X2 questioning The Trandoshan leader.
"It's already too late, soon you and your men will all be crushed while I'll get away with my reward," The Trandoshan smirked. X1 slammed his fist into Trandoshan's skull, knocking him out.
"He was talking too much. Did you send out the emergency distress?" X1 asked.
"I did, Master Ferroda should have picked it up by now," X2 said right as the alarms around the base went off. Both siblings checked the holotable and its reporting that the Separatists invasion fleet had just come out of hyperspace.
"They're here," X2 said.
"Everyone who's listening, the Separatist are here. Get ready!" X1 said over the comms.
Both brothers ran outside of the base and looked to see the Separatist fleet about to enter the planet atmosphere when out of hyperspace the Republic Fleet arrived.
"This is Jedi Master Ferroda of the Patience to Krayt Outpost, X1 and X2 do you read me?" The Pantoran Jedi Master said over the radio.
"We hear Master Ferroda, you don't know how glad we are to see friendlies," X2 grinned.
"We will take care of the Separatist fleet, reinforcements are inbound," Ferroda said.
"Copy that General," X1 said,both brothers feeling relieved that the Separatist invasion had been stopped.
Scene Break
Soon, Republic reinforcements arrived to relieve Krayt Outpost with X1 and X2 coordinating efforts to wipe out remaining enemy hostiles. Seeing how they were outnumbered, the Trandoshan Mercenaries surrendered and were rounded up to be taken into Republic prisons to later be interrogated.
A LAAT soon arrived and landed in front of X1 and X2. It opened and out came Jedi Master Ferroda.
"X1, X2. You don't know how glad I am to see you two safe. I was worried when I didn't receive any communication from Tatoonie and my worries were justified when your distress signal reached my ship. I'm proud of you two for what you have done preventing the Separatist invasion from coming through the Arkanis sector. It's already been enough trouble as it is with the Mandalore sector being vulnerable to Separatist attack," Master Ferroda said to the twin clones proudly.
"No thanks are needed sir, we were just doing our duty to the Republic. Right little brother?" X1 said to X2.
"Yeah, we just did what we were taught in training and the rest was how it was handled," X2 said.
"Regardless, the Jedi Council and the Supreme Chancellor send their thanks for your actions. You two saved lives," Master Ferroda said.
The twins felt a swell of pride being acknowledged and thanked by their superiors.
"With the ever increasing Separatist attacks, we have to change how we fight. So seeing as how you two were able to command a small fighting force to repeal an attack, how would you two like to be in charge of training a new batch of clones in the art of warfare?" Master Ferroda asked.
The two clones were surprised by this proposal. They were not of Jango Fett DNA yet were being asked to train a new batch of clones in the art of warfare.
"Sir why us? We are nothing special," X2 asked.
"No you are wrong X2, the courage and bravery that you and X1 showed make you the soldiers that the Republic needs. The galaxy is changing and I feel the war is just the beginning of something way bigger than all of us. That's why I need men like you and X1 to show new clones what courage and bravery is in this day and age. Can I count on you two to do that?" Master Ferroda said.
X1 and X2 look at each other before standing at attention and saluting to Master Ferroda.
"General, we accept this request. We will do everything in our power to make sure these shinnies are ready to face anything that comes their way," X1 said.
"I have no doubts about that X1. Come, we have a lot of work to do." Master Ferroda said, walking off with X1 and X2 falling behind. This was only the beginning of many changes to come.
X1 and X2 will return
And that's a wrap. So yeah as I said before my first chapter is not up to par with what you're used to seeing in Infinite Wars and Spirit Unto Dawn but I'll get there with your help to those in the comments and leaving reviews.
X1 and X2 along with their Clones brethren just halted a Separatist Invasion attempt. What does this all mean? Guess you have to find out in Infinite Wars for answers.
For those of you who don't know who X1 and X2 and Master Ferroda are characters from Star Wars Elite Squadron. They were originally supposed to be in the cancelled Battlefront 3 back in 2008. Trandoshan Mercenaries appeared as enemies from Republic Commando.
I'm open to character suggestions for future one shot tales except for the main characters seen in Infinite Wars like the Avengers, GOTG, and Jedi. After suggesting some characters in the comments, I'll bring it up with FMW to see which characters are approved or not approved depending on the plans of said characters in Infinite Wars.
